When it comes to your Detective Comics run so far, an interviewer with less skill than I might say Gotham is a character, one that feels unique in that it's noir, but also ornate, how important was it for your approach to get Gotham right?Visually Detective Comics is dark, dank, grungy, what makes Rafael Albuquerque and Ivan Reis the perfect fit for the vision of the book?A lot of the dialogue and captioning has a poetic nature to it, do you write poetry in your free time?Ram, I'm curious about the song in the club in Detective #1063. Is that a real tune, or something written just for Harvey?Themes of sanity are present in Detective Comics, like Two-Face facing his own duality, why do you think these themes resonate with audiences?Two-Face consistently tells Harvey that he's the only one looking out for him, that he cares about him. Is there some truth there, or is this the most insular abusive relationship ever? There are so many tools at your disposal when crafting a comic, from letters, to formatting of a page, which we see you do a lot of in Detective Comics #1068. As someone with a lot of impressive comics under your belt, do you ever find yourself trying to disassemble how a comic story is told and then reassemble it?For those that read only Carnage or only read Detective Comics, is there a connective tissue of themes or your approach that could be said to swing their attention to the book they aren't reading? You're always working on so many titles at once--50 issues written in 2022--can you give us any hints or details on what your 2023 will look like?

To start, what's the elevator pitch for My Brother's Blood Machine? You released an ashcan of the first issue at SDCC. What has the response been like thus far?So the original album was conceived as a side story to Amory Wars. Do any of those connections still exist in the adaptation? And what made now the time to bring MMBM to comics? We're getting vibes of classic horror flicks like Phantasm and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. What were some of your inspirations behind this story? What has the collaboration process been like Steve Niles, at this point he's a horror guru in comics!Andrew Ritchie's work is mesmerizing, I can't stop looking at the faces, what was the process like getting him on the project? Have you gotten a page that's blown you away so far?My Brother's Blood Machine is a six-issue series, how far along is the team with scripting and drawing the series?Next year is the 20th anniversary of In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 (congrats)! What do you have planned to celebrate that milestone?Any current plans to continue with a No World For Tomorrow miniseries? Are there any other projects you'd like to hype today?Off-topic top shelf

Join Nathan and Dave in celebrating 200 episodes of the AIPT Comics podcast! It has been a real trip, and it got even trippier this week as each of the current ongoing Spider-Man writers got into one room to chat Spidey! Amazing Spider-Man writer Zeb Wells, Spider-Man writer Dan Slott, and Miles Morales: Spider-Man writer Cody Ziglar all talk about the webhead. We dig into when they started reading Spider-Man, what's in store for their series in 2023, and so much more!Oh wait, but there's more, don't miss our lengthy chat about She-Hulk! Ziglar and Wells were both writers on this year's incredible Disney+ show. Get insider stories, they discuss their love of the character, and more!Interview Questions:Thank you all for joining the AIPT comics podcast for its 200th episode! To start, I want to take us all back to the beginning…of your relationship with Spider-Man. What was your first Spider-Man comic growing up?Fans might wonder, with the three “heads of state” of spider-man, how often are you collaborating or reading each others scripts? You each have your own realms of Spidey to tackle, how far out have you plotted their exploits?Dan, DID YOU KILL SPIDER-BOY?Beyond Board was created with a bunch of great writers, what brought that together? All three of you are closely tied to She-Hulk, what is it about the character that you love the most?Zeb and Cody: You're MCU canon now. How was that day on set and how difficult has it been to keep this a secret?Cody, tell us a bit about Rabble! Is this someone totally new to the scene, and should the rest of the heroes in New York be watching their backs? How's the collaboration been with Federico Vicentini so far?Zeb and Dan, you both are currently working with veteran Spider-Man artists, what's it like working with such seasoned artists?Zeb, how important was it to you to get Peter on his own again? Since it's the 200th episode, I'm curious about 200's for you guys, is there something you've created 200 of, or collected 200 of, that you hold dear? What else are you working on that you'd like to hype today? Maybe a tease of Dark Web?

Do you have any favorite series as a kid?Coming from TV, what were some surprises when writing for comics, what came easy?Eden is set in a world that feels familiar, but advanced. There's a lot of political unrest. Did you have this future mapped out or have a world Bible?Eden is a story that seems to have new twists and turns at every corner, were you in competition with yourself to shock the reader at every turn? What made artist Riccardo Burchielli right for this project? Was there a panel or page that blew you away that you didn't expect? As your debut graphic novel, what did you learn about the medium you didn't know before? Is there anything you would do differently with your next comics project? If Eden was greenlit for TV (or a movie), which studio should produce it?Any other projects you'd like to plug today?

You've basically got a story within a story here, one of my favorite kinds of comics, but a specific kind at that. What inspired the concept behind this annual?I love how many full page splashes you give Serg Acuna, was there a formula or a thinking process as to where those splashes take place?I have to respect your nerdness, Jeremy, as there's not one but multiple references to pop culture. I think I caught a Harry Potter, a Star Trek, maybe Rocketeer too, do you ever consciously think about putting references like this into the story?Something I think fans will love about this annual is how you write Linda and how you convey her strength even prior to having powers. Why was that important to highlight for you with this annual? There's a cliffhanger here that'll have folks gasp, without spoiling it, how serious are you and DC Comics in pursuing this storyline? In your humble opinion what is a more powerful weapon for Linda, super speed...or journalism/writing?What comics are you reading right now? What is your favorite form of procrastination?
