On this episode of The Awakened Feminine Podcast, I interview Veronica Grant, a Life and Love Coach and the Host of the Love Life Connection Podcast. Veronica helps women date smarter, not harder. But really, she helps them treat themselves the way they want to be treated. She is a green smoothie enthusiast, a self-care advocate, and a dating mindset coach for career-oriented women who feel like they've put their personal goals on the back burner while their careers took off. She wants to live in a world where dating is easy and fun, and every woman who wants, can get into the relationship she desires. As a Dating Coach, she's been featured in Elephant Journal, She Is Fierce! and Make The World Move, as well has having traveled across the United States to lead workshops and retreats. When she's not helping women treat themselves the way they want to be treated, you can find her indulging in some of her favorite guilty pleasures: white wine and Netflix, a great yoga class, or hanging on the couch with her life partner and pup. During our time together, Veronica and I dive into: Self-love truthbombs Doing the work to connect with your true essence to attract the relationships you desire Following the bread crumbs Healing your inner child wounds Plus so much more! This episode I'm joined by Etlin Flores, creator of the She Is Fierce Project and podcast. She Is Fierce is an online platform geared towards empowering Black women and women of color and highlighting their experiences in predominantly white institutions (PWIs), friendships, relationships and more. On this episode we discuss her experiences at PWIs as a grad student and a member of the university staff. We also discuss the hardships faced by the "overachieving Black girl" and how they maneuver a world that falsely promises them success if they follow conventions, inclusivity in regards to Afro-Latinx women and the importance of creating spaces for yourself when they don't already exist. In the podcast, Ana discusses how she got into editing anthologies, how she goes about putting her anthologies together and making tough decisions about which poems to keep in and leave out, and why she thinks her most recent anthologies featuring only women poets - She Is Fierce and She Will Soar, both published by Pan Macmillan - are particularly important. You can find out more about Ana's work on her website (anasampson.co.uk) and follow her on Twitter (@AnaBooks). Ana and Niall discuss three poems from She Will Soar: 'The Sea-Shore' by Letitia Elizabeth Landon, an excerpt from Elizabeth Barrett Browning's verse novel Aurora Leigh, and 'Sonnet XXXI' by Edna St. Vincent Millay. To read these poems, we are absolutely delighted to welcome the acclaimed actress-writer-director Romola Garai. Romola has worked extensively in film, television and theatre, and you will very likely have seen her in films such as Atonement or Suffragette, or on television, in shows like The Crimson Petal and the White for which she was nominated for a BAFTA. Her debut directorial feature, a horror film called Amulet, was released earlier this year, and Romola will shortly be appearing in a film with a poetry connection when she plays Dylan Thomas's wife, Caitlin, in a movie about the poet called Last Call. As you'll find out by listening to the podcast, she is also an exceptional reader of poetry.

I will be reading your reviews in an upcoming episode so if you have any questions ask away :-) Powerful, Passionate and acting like a Lady with Kelly Youngs Welcome to this of The Sex, Money and Food podcast! What could you do if you truly believed you could create whatever you wanted in your life? What would your life look like? Our guest for this episode, Kelly Youngs of She Is Fierce, has created a brand helping women do exactly that: pursue their biggest, most courageous dreams. On this episode of the Sex, Money, and Food Podcast, Kelly shares her story of leaving a high-powered position in London, starting a family in a small town in Florida and finding the courage and the daring to start the She Is Fierce movement. More About This Show Not long ago, Kelly Youngs was living what she thought was a dream life. She lived in London and worked tirelessly as a high-flying Senior Producer for CNN International. She was married to her English husband and lived near the River Thames. While she loved what she did, something inside of her knew there was more to life than endless hours, and non-stop work. So when she and her husband decided to start a family she suggested they move back to Florida. They left London and headed home to St. Augustine to raise a family. The first few years were fun, she had consulting jobs and was still "in the mix". She was still active in her industry and was traveling for work. But over time that work phased out because she wasn't in the markets where there was real action; there were no media jobs near her. She kept looking around wondering what the heck she was going to do and what she had gotten herself into! She had a two-year old and a baby on the way so she knew they weren't going to move to one of the big markets like Hong Kong or New York. But she also couldn't sit still! She knew there was more for her. After some soul searching and even a pity party, she realized her focus was off: she was focusing on what wasn't possible, rather than what was. She reminded herself she has the potential to create whatever she wants (we all do). With that in mind, she decided to act on an idea she'd had for a long time. Over the years she had wanted to create a community where women could discover their true potential, feel empowered, and accomplish amazing things! She set out to do just that and created the She Is Fierce community. It was a resounding success, women all over the world resonated with her message and it became a movement. Today there are more than 100,000 women in the tribe, and over 20,000 women on Kelly's mailing list. The She Is Fierce movement has held sold out events and has members in eight countries spanning the globe. To continue spreading the message, Kelly has a podcast by the same name in which she touches the hearts, mind and lives of women wanting to live their lives boldly and follow their dreams. Today we talk about her community, but also finding like-minded women in your community whether or not you join the She Is Fierce group. We also talk about her passion and purpose challenge; listen in for all of that and more on today’s Sex Money Food podcast with Kelly Youngs! Tweetable: “Though she be but little she be fierce.” - Kelly Youngs Kelly Answers The Questions Rank the following in order: sex, money, or food? I knew this was coming and I was having a hard time ranking these! I’m choosing family as an overarching thing and all three of those fit. I love being around the table with my family, giving love for food, and I love my husband and it’s also the financial part. What does fierce smell like to you? I do listen to your show so I did cheat and thought this one through! I came up with one that I feel is a good one: the smell of being by water. I live in Florida, I lived in Sydney for a while and even in London we had to be near the (River) Thames. For me it’s a feeling of freedom - having wide open spaces, and having the ability to feel free and feel strong.
