Elton John is coming to Nats Park for his farewell tour on September 24, 2022. Last time he performed at Nats Park was with Billy Joel in 2009. Heist Night Club is coming to the roof of the Kennedy Center this summer. We talk to the creator Vinoda Basnayake on how this will be an awesome experience. Nats Game last night was a win and placed them in second place in the NL East but it was not the win that was memorable. It will be Max Scherzer almost undressing on the mound and mocking Phillies manager Joe Girardi. Girardi asked umpires to check for foreign substances or “sticky stuff” on Scherzer after he had been checked twice before; Scherzer was clean. Girardi eventually was removed from the game after coming out of the bullpen and yelling at Scherzer. Snafu at Six Flags, their brand new ride Spinsanity is currently shut down due to safety concerns when one of the 4 spires holding up the ride began to visibly shake. Brendan Nyhan tells about what he's learned from his research studies and his experience maintaining Spinsanity, a watchdog blog monitoring political misinformation. Is there any hope of clearing up false beliefs if denials simply make the problem worse? Brendan does offer hope, but it won't be easy. Brendan Nyhan is a a Robert Wood Johnson Scholar in Health Policy Research at the University of Michigan. He received a Ph.D. from the Department of Political Science at Duke University in May 2009. In 2011, He will join the Department of Government at Dartmouth College as an assistant professor. His research focuses on political scandal and misperceptions.
