We didn't get to cover it while it was in theaters but we've got some time on our hands at the end of the year so we have decided to jump back and examine the documentary chronicling the legacy of Fred Rogers; Won't You Be My Neighbor. We are joined via Skype by Melissa Girimonte of The Televixen to examine why Mr. Rogers had such a lasting impact on society and why this film is so important.
For some it is the Super Bowl. Or Comic Con. Or Taco Tuesday. But for us? It is the annual ATX Television Festival! This is our 7th year attending the Austin festival and we had a great time, as always, meeting other tv fans, checking out great panels, learning about new shows, and indulging in watching tv episodes on a big screen with an enthusiastic audience. Les, Randy, Grant, and special guest Melissa Girimonte (FemTV, Mr. Robot Oh, The Televixen) attended this year and discuss their experience at the fest. Tune in!

Well after a forced week off I am back and fully charged to qoute Bob from the old animated show Reboot. First up you get my book review of the new Wildcards mosaic novel Inside Straight edited by George R.R. Martin as a new generation of heroes take center stage. Then we head into the world of identify theft as Lincoln Rhyme tackles a deadly killer in the audio book The Broken Window by Jeffrey Deaver. You also get my review of Season 2 of LOST on DVD as The Others threaten the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. My feature segment is a talk with the Televixen herself, Melissa Girimonte who attended the recent Fan Expo in Toronto on August 22-24. We talk about the convention as well as Smallville, Battlestar Galactica and even Henry Winkler.
