And throughout the collection, fire, smoke and air flecked with ash become metaphors and characters as Richardson searches for resilience, defiance, and ultimately, hope. Norton, and two previous books of poems, Copperhead and Hundred-Year Wave, from the Carnegie Mellon Poetry Series. She has been a Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford and an NEA Fellow, and her poems have appeared in the New York Times, APR, The Yale Review, and elsewhere. She lives in the Bay Area and teaches in the MFA program at St. Mary's College of California. She is also currently in training as a wildland firefighter.Poet and anthropologist Nomi Stone is the author of three books, most recently the poetry collection Kill Class (Tupelo, 2019), finalist for the Julie Suk Award, and the ethnography Pinelandia: An Anthropology and Field Poetics of War and Empire, first prize in the Middle East Studies Award from the American Anthropological Association and three other national prizes. Winner of a Pushcart Prize, Stone's poems recently appear in The Atlantic, The Nation, Best American Poetry, POETRY Magazine, and American Poetry Review. Macat's extensive credits include the features SO, I MARRIED AN AXE MURDERER; MY FELLOW AMERICANS; the remake of MIRACLE ON 34TH ST; BECAUSE I SAID SO, and SMOTHER, both with Diane Keaton; and the action film BALISTIC, X vs SEVER. In moving from comedy to more dramatic work, Macat was asked by Antonio Banderas to photograph his directorial debut, CRAZY IN ALABAMA, a film about the civil right's movement in the 60's and also hired by Adam Shankman to film Nicholas Spark's A WALK TO REMEMBER. Macat also collaborated with Shankman on THE WEDDING PLANNER and BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE with Steve Martin. The Celtics dominated the Jazz 126-97 tonight improving to 17-0 at home!! This game was over as soon as it started. The Celtics got out to a 10-0 start and never looked back. They stretched this lead all the way up to 36 at one point in this game. They hit 100pts with 3 minutes left in the third and at that point, every single starter was already sitting for the remainder of the game. Tatum led the way in this one with 30pts but more importantly 14 FT attempts. The ball movement was excellent in this one despite only having 24ast. JB and Tatum both led the team with 5ast each but JB had at least 3 other passes that led to Porzingis FTs so the ball movement from him was excellent which is great because the scoring wasn't quite there tonight. This team continues to play with that "whatever the team needs" attitude and I am 100% here for it!
