What we have (what we are seeing and often, what we consider normal Christianity) is NOT enough. This is not to make us feel bad or shameful; it should CALL US into the heights of God. Tonight, I have some key prayer points I want us to go after... as I believe the Lord is raising up a militant, fierce people who will steward a move of God until Jesus split the sky and returns to the Earth! My key prayer: LORD, WE WON'T SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN EVERYTHING YOU HAVE MADE AVAILABLE AND ACCESSIBLE! With key prayer points from Jonathan Edwards, Lou Engle, and Wallace Henley.

God Is Up to Something BigThe Bible dedicates more space to prophecy than to any other subject. These prophetic portions of Scripture have received an enormous amount of literary attention throughout the history of the church. Over the past fifty years alone countless books have been written about the biggest global trends of our day and whether they are signs of the coming end times. But one sign has been inexplicably neglected—revival. Wallace Henley believes such a spiritual awakening is not only possible today but probable—and likely a harbinger of the end times. Where are we on the timeline of human history? Are we approaching the rapture of the church?Henley presents a meticulously researched and compelling case that the Welsh Revival and the historical cycle revealed in God’s redemptive interactions with nations, make it highly likely that our contemporary world is ripe for the lightning of another revival. Henley is confident that we will be a part of that worldwide event, perhaps moving all creation nearer to its sudden glorious conclusion and rebirth.Join our guest Wallace Hensley tonight at 6p!
Is a great spiritual awakening probable and even a harbinger of the end times? I'll talk it over with Pastor Wallace Henley from Second Baptist Church in Houston. His book is called, "Call Down Lightning: What the Welsh Revival of 1904 Reveals About the End Times." Plus: Islamic expert Dr. Andrew Bostom on what the jihadist Hebron riots of 1929 can tell us about today's jihadist-Marxist alliance in America. That's next time on JANET MEFFERD TODAY.

This week, Jabez and I kick off our first topic for a new series - Stewardship. We talk about what stewardship is, in our own opinion, and how it relates to how we handle our personal finances. We most certainly are not financial consultants or money gurus but, in this episode, we share about our own experiences, our own budget structure and we offer practical suggestions to those who find themselves in the same situation as ours. We believe that handling our finances more maturely involves all these three things: (1) prioritizing, (2) discipline, and (3) enjoying the fruits of our labor. As always, we talk about our reviews and/or recommendations. This week, I recommend the books "God and Churchill" and "In Charge". The first book is authored by Jonathan Sandys and Wallace Henley and the latter was written by Myles Munroe.
October 6, 2015 - How did Winston Churchill overcome so many personal, financial and professional setbacks to lead the United Kingdom to victory during its darkest hour, when the Empire nation stood alone against Hitler? The answer may surprise you, and that's the focus of a new book. It's God & Churchill: How the Great Leader's Sense of Divine Destiny Changed His Troubled World and Offers Hope for Ours. More than a spiritual biography, God & Churchill recounts a deeply personal quest for Jonathan Sandys, Winston Churchill's great-grandson. Along with co-author and former White House staffer Wallace Henley, Jonathan discovers how again and again, Churchill turned his eyes up to find strength here on earth. Previous books have ignored the role of faith in the Greatest Briton's life, or dismissed his invocations on behalf of "Christian civilization" as mere rhetoric. Now, for the first time, God & Churchill debunks that myth and inspires us with a Sir Winston who remains a role model today, as we seek to unite the world in the face of the heirs to Hitler's nihilistic creed. UPDATE: It's with a heavy heart I report that Jonathan Sandys -- a man I was proud to call friend -- passed away a few days after Christmas 2018. He is survived by his wife, Sara, as well as their children Jesse and Arizona Jane. Not to mention his family in the U.K. and so many who met him once, twice, or a thousand times. When the news hit me, I thought of the line from Watership Down: "My heart has joined the thousand, for my friend stopped running today," for I will miss running with him, on to the next adventure. Additional books discussed in this episode:
In the history of the world, no sheep has ever won a fight with a wolf.
From globalization to the digital revolution, secularization to the great recession, change has never happened so fast and wide and deep as we have seen in recent years. The nature of information and the speed with which it travels is unparalleled, and it is changing our world in seismic ways that reach into every crevice of our lives. It's as if the tectonic plates of society and culture are being torn apart and reshaped right under our feet. We are living through a cultural "GLOBEQUAKE." How should we respond as families? In business? Through our churches? With the hope and stability found not on this shifting ground but in the one who created the heavens and earth, says pastor and best-selling author Wallace Henley. Drawing from his experiences in politics and journalism plus his deep biblical knowledge, Henley's analysis is clear, insightful, and thought provoking. There is no alarmist agenda here. Globequake is a well-reasoned guide to navigating the spheres of our lives in a godly manner, even as those spheres wobble on their axes. "Globequake looks at current events and puts them in the context of the larger prophetic picture." ?Cal Thomas, syndicated and USA Today columnist, and Fox News contributor. Wallace Henley (M.A.) has worked for more than three decades in the fields of journalism, government, and the church. Wallace's passion is helping develop visionary leaders for church, family, education, governance, and business, working through Headwaters Leadership Institute. Wallace is associate pastor at Houston's 57,000-member Second Baptist Church. He is the author of more than 20 books, and served as an aide to President Nixon.
