It's the most controversial WCW Pay Per View in their horror run of the 2000s featuring the final ever appearance of Hulk Hogan in World Championship Wrestling, and Vince Russo's expletive laden shoot promo on The Hulkster live in the middle of the ring. It was huge 24 years ago - but how has it aged since then?
It's the final WCW Pay Per View of the millennium and we have got a huge main event when former tag team champions Goldberg and Bret Hart battle for the Hitman's World Title. Can this box office match-up get World Championship Wrestling back on course heading into the year 2000 - or is it too late to stop the juggernaut of the WWF and the Attitude era?

And Now we descend into hell... with another WCW Pay-Per-View to make us ask What Are WE EVEN Doing?
Our first review of a WCW Pay Per View. and how fitting that it was their last. There is a lot to unpack with this show. And especially a lot of What Are We EVEN Doing?
After a disappointing WCW Pay Per View offering, the WWF had a chance to try and regain some lost ground and halt the momentum of the nWo and their response was SURVIVOR SERIES 1996. Featuring matches like Undertaker vs Mankind, Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Bret Hart, the debut of The Rock, and Shawn Michaels vs Sycho Sid, the WWF loaded the card to combat the threat of WCW!
Erin and Jason watch a WCW Pay Per View match for the first time on the show. Sting taking on the Black Scorpion from Starrcade 1990 is the match of choice. Erin tries to guess who the Black Scorpion is before he is unmasked and Jason details his experience being at this show as a 5 year old.
WCW has to turn away fans from arenas because the popularity of the nWo has made all their shows must see and tickets are selling out as soon as they go on sale. And with bigger crowds come bigger events, and nothing is bigger than World War 3 - a massive 60 man battle royal in three rings with the World Heavyweight Championship at stake. Simon and Nims are once again joined by MCW's Owen Jones (@digital__beard) to look back at the biggest WCW Pay Per View in 1996!
Bill, Jeff, and Nick travel to 2000 when WCW was still a thing. Buffalo hosted its last WCW Pay Per View event back in September of that year and the guys are were to chat about it.
In this episode of 'Reliving The War' we look at the first WCW Pay Per View after the formation of the nWo. 'HOG WILD' took place in front of thousands of bikers at Sturgis, South Dakota which made for a very unique show - for some bad reasons too! Simon and Nims are joined by Melbourne City Wrestling's 'Digital Beard' Owen Jones to recap one of the most landmark events in WCW history!

On paper this was the most stacked WCW Pay Per View in years but the timing error cost the company hundreds of thousands. Most of all, Conrad wanted Bruce to see the rematch from WrestleMania VI which broke all of the records. Of course, this time Hogan-Warrior set a new record with -*****. You'll also hear Bruce's take on Disco Inferno among many other WCW talent, including details of the conversations Sting had with the WWF over the years. What if Sting would have jumped in 1988? Tons of "hypothetical" discussion and silliness in this watchalong episode! Yes, this WCW Pay Per View had a little of everything: Hulk Hogan, the Ultimate Warrior, Silver King (WTF?), Raven, Saturn, Roddy Piper, Bret Hart, DDP. And it had a LOT of nothing: no sense, no good finishes, nothing-happening announcing, and no one wanting to work a match. Welcome to Fall Brawl '98. It was the original HELL in a cell. Hrrgh.
Finally a not terrible WCW Pay Per View! After searching high and low and with our expectations near rock bottom, we were pleasantly surprised. Even though the show took place outdoors and featured a talk show host in the main event, the strength of the undercard was more than enough to put this in the "win" column.
