ג' חלקים מהתוועדות יו"ד שבט ה'תשי"ט ל"הנחה פרטית" או התרגום ללה"ק של השיחה: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=05-11-2025 Synopsis Avraham Avinu's service of Hashem embodied the trait of love, as the Gemara derives from the verse, “the descendants of Avraham who loved Me.” When the Mitteler Rebbe was a child, he explained why the proof comes specifically from a verse about “the descendants of Avraham” and not from Avraham himself: the fact that Avraham Avinu served Hashem with love does not prove that Avraham's very nature was love, because anyone spoken to directly by Hashem would serve Hashem with love. But the fact that even “the descendants of Avraham” are called those “who love Me” proves that Avraham's love was rooted in the very nature of his soul. While it is true that “the descendants of Avraham” included generations whose conduct embodied attributes other than love, such “the Fear of Yitzchok,” nevertheless, even then, the fear etc. stemmed from the attribute of kindness. Just as even Avraham's fear (“Now I know that you are G-d-fearing”) was rooted in love, the same must be true of his descendants: even if at times one must treat another person with what seems to be the opposite of kindness, it must be rooted in his love for that person. As long as one is not certain that this action stems from love and not some other motive, he should refrain from it.3 excerpts from farbrengen of 10 Shevat 5719 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=05-11-2025 לזכות פריידא בת צירל שתחי' ליום ההולדת שלה י"ד מרחשון - לשנת ברכה והצלחה, ואריכות ימים ושנים טובות

Rabbi Yitzchok Kaufmann grew up in Minnesota and today is a teacher and lecturer at The Mayanot Institute in Jerusalem. In this episode, we discuss the elusiveness of Emunah, how what seems so obvious to one person seems impenetrable to the next, and how we all struggle to fully define it.We discuss the importance of an embodied Emunah, one that resides in the lived experience and history of the individual, and in every aspect of his life.____Support this podcast at: https://www.hflpodcast.com/donate___This week's episode is sponsored by Jnet, a project of Merkos 302.Join over ten thousand volunteers sharing their Torah knowledge with fellow study partners around the world.Visit jnet.org for more info.____This week's episode is brought to you by "This World Is A Garden," a new film and live concert production by Yuvla Media based on the Rebbe's first talk, Bosi Lgani.Combining beautiful cinematography with a live performance by a string quartet, this production is a meditation on hope and holding on to a vision even as time passes by.Now you can bring this groundbreaking experience of Bosi Lgani to your community. For more info please visit: https://www.yuvlamedia.com/thisworldi...____Homesick for Lubavitch is a project of Yuvla Media.Bentzi Avtzon is a filmmaker who specializes in telling the stories of thoughtful and heartfelt organizations. The child must also be trained to recognize that he stands upon a strong foundation, as a son of Avrohom, Yitzchok, and Yaakov, and daughter of Sarah, Rivkah, Rochel, and Leah – the Avos and Imahos of all Jews in all generations. To instill this feeling in children, educators must be a living example and personally conduct themselves accordingly; they must remember that a child notices everything, and does not recognize the difference between something “minor” and something “severe” (even where the Torah recognizes them as such).3 excerpts from sichah of Tuesday, parashas Vezos Habrachah, 6 Tishrei 5744 For a transcript in English of the Sicha: https://thedailysicha.com/?date=30-10-2025 לזכות ר' לוי הלוי בן לאה שי' לרפואה שלימהנדבת משפחתו שי'

Yahrtzeit Yomi #1551!!יט תמוזRav Yitzchok Isaac Halevi HerzogChief Rabbi of Palestineרב יצחק אייזיק ב״ר יואל לייב הלוי הרצוג(1888 - 1959)---------------------------------------------------https://mishpacha.com/the-lost-children-2/Friends, here is the first-hand account of Rabbi Berel Wein regarding Chief Rabbi Isaac Herzog's 1946 visit to Chicago to raise money for the Vaad Hayeshivos and for refugees to Palestine.Rabbi Wein:“Rav Herzog's visit to Chicago had a lifelong effect on me. I was 12 at the time, and my father took me with him to greet Rav Herzog on the tarmac. All the rabbanim of Chicago were there. He was a commanding figure, with a silver-handled rabbinic cane in one hand and a Tanach in the other.Later he gave a shiur in the yeshivah in the sugya of ein shaliach l'davar aveirah to about 200 people from all over the Midwest. Then he spoke about what brought him to Chicago.“I've just come from meeting the pope of Rome,” as he referred to Pope Pius XII. “I presented him with the names of 10,000 Jewish children who had been hidden in monasteries and other Church institutions by their desperate parents. I asked the Pope to return those children to the Jewish People.“But he refused. He told me that once they entered a Catholic institution, they would have been baptized immediately, and were therefore now Catholics.”Then Rav Herzog put down his head and sobbed, as I had never heard any adult sob, before or since. It was if the pain of 2,000 years of galus was pouring out of him.Eventually he stopped. And when he did, he addressed each and every person there.“I can't do anything more for those children. But what are you going to do to rebuild the Jewish People.” When we went in a line to shake his hand, he asked me, “Did you hear what I said?” followed by, “Remember what I said.”I still hear those words ringing in my ear. And when I think of my contemporaries in the yeshivah and what they have achieved, I'm convinced they too were deeply influenced by Chief Rabbi Herzog's words that day: [See WhatsApp group for more]---------------------------------------------------Tammuz Yahrtzeits!!1. In this episode of In Search of More, I sit down with Yitzchok Aharon Pinkesz, author of Kosher Astrology: A Jewish Guide to Celestial Wisdom. He makes a bold claim: a lot of suffering in the world could be eased, and we'd be living more in line with Judaism, if we understood the astrological influences on us.Astrology is often dismissed as superstition or idolatry. Pinkesz argues it has deep roots in Torah and rabbinic tradition, meant not to trap us in fate but to help us know ourselves and grow. He shares how he went from skeptical Boro Park kid to obsessively studying over 400 books and classic sources to make the case for a “kosher” astrology. We talk about the line between wisdom and misuse. He rejects fatalism and astral magic but defends astrology as a tool for mapping our strengths, challenges, and paths of growth in line with Hashem's design. We also spend a fair amount of time on my own chart, exploring the places of tension and transformation it reveals. It's a conversation about reclaiming lost knowledge, staying honest about risk, and asking what it really means to choose to become your fullest self.Find his book on Amazon: https://a.co/d/agcjaqmSee you on the other side,Eli

How should we address the worldwide realignment that cultures of all kinds are experiencing?Tune in to hear a conversation about the importance of being “translators” across communities as we exchange ideas with one another.
