Herein lies the elusive album by the artist Paul Semon, who was held in captivity for nearly three decades in a house in the woods. These recordings were released in concert with the release of the RSS-Feed-Owners first novel "Beings Absurd" which is now out of print, but detailed the sordid past of Simon Masters and the Destination Corporation. Well, here it is, folks. Part one of the Intervention Net retrospective. What was Intervention Net? Was it a band? Was it a web series? Was it both? At one point in time, the RSS-Feed-Owner was living in New York City, Brooklyn to be specific, Bed Stuy, to be exact. He'd formed Tra-La-Log & D.I.G.I.T.A.L., he'd formed China Street, he'd formed High Chief. He'd played in Barry Kramer, Cha-Cha Heels, and Gay Marriage. He'd graduated Audio school and he'd edited the news at  a Telemundo station. Now he lived in Brooklyn where he worked temp-jobs during the day and recorded music ideas in his bedroom at night for a small audience of mice. Every once in a while he'd make it out to the Shenedoah Valley or Atlantic City to visit the infamous Brothers Vacovsky and for a short time he worked on a video project called "Roomies" with his friend Brian Clark (mentioned previously in the song "Waves"). After about a year of this, the RSS-Feed-Owner's dear old friends, Nick and Mike, made it to the city and they three moved to Sunset Park, Brooklyn where they started a NEW band and a NEW web-series called INTERVENTION NET. Intervention lasted about 3 years and 21 episodes. They played numerous shows in New York during the 2008-2009 period and a few in Austin and Houston after moving back to Texas in 2009. Grass Growing was the original podcast on this RSS-feed, of which the RSS-feed-owner was co-host with Nick Lombard. The podcast was a weekly phone call between two buds that eventually become a short-song factory as they would come up with ideas for songs while recording the convo and thus were forced to write and record that song before the episode was released the next week. This proved somewhat difficult as one bud lived in Austin and the other in Houston. The first episode was recorded the night before Hurricane Harvey hit Houston and thus a legendary podcast that would go on to one day nearly take over The Ten Minute Podcast RSS-feed was born. Nick and Kevin made it work for months, recording nearly 100 tiny songs and touching on every important topic that has ever existed. This episode of the Kaveman Files showcases some of the fine songs they wrote, including the two songs from the third season that were never released on the planned full-length album as the show went on indefinite hiatus due to scheduling conflicts before that was possible. The infamous screenplay for the buds' planned film project, "Night of the Grackle" which almost certainly would have been among the greatest films ever made was also put on indefinite hold. He drove through ice and snow in the middle of a freezing night in February to start this band, a post Tra-La-Log & D.I.G.I.T.A.L. homage (which is Italian for tribute) to bands like Thin Lizzy, Rush, and Rainbow; You know, the good stuff! China Street was one of the many RSS-feed-owner's bands that formed and functioned for a few years in Houston, TX circa 2002-2005. Nick Lombard played drums. They played their first show at Mary Jane's on Washington St. under the name "Charlotte's Web" when founding member Alex Hughes was still in the band. The first demo is elusive and likely lost. This album, "The Last House on China Street" was recorded after Hughes left the band. The RSS-feed-owner and Nick Lombard recorded it in the bedroom of Lombard's childhood home, and the RSS-feed-owner mixed it at Houston Community College, checking the mixes in the stereo-room of the Circuit City across the freeway in between classes. The band played a few shows booked by Hands Up Houston, mostly opening for the underrated D.C. superpower, APES.
