Grass Growing was the original podcast on this RSS-feed, of which the RSS-feed-owner was co-host with Nick Lombard. The podcast was a weekly phone call between two buds that eventually become a short-song factory as they would come up with ideas for songs while recording the convo and thus were forced to write and record that song before the episode was released the next week. This proved somewhat difficult as one bud lived in Austin and the other in Houston. The first episode was recorded the night before Hurricane Harvey hit Houston and thus a legendary podcast that would go on to one day nearly take over The Ten Minute Podcast RSS-feed was born. Nick and Kevin made it work for months, recording nearly 100 tiny songs and touching on every important topic that has ever existed. This episode of the Kaveman Files showcases some of the fine songs they wrote, including the two songs from the third season that were never released on the planned full-length album as the show went on indefinite hiatus due to scheduling conflicts before that was possible. The infamous screenplay for the buds' planned film project, "Night of the Grackle" which almost certainly would have been among the greatest films ever made was also put on indefinite hold. There are no current plans to restart recording of Grass Growing, the door remains in wait, but nothing is impossible. While the members of the band Sharp Star hail from Paducah, Kentucky, they were never part of a "scene." Not only has the approach been interesting to say the least, but the music is pretty great, as well! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/undetermined-podcast/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/undetermined-podcast/support

Winter is upon us. The landscape is grey and drab and there's snow everywhere...TIME FOR A LIAM NEESON ACTION MOVIE!!! If there's nothing else to get folks out of their warm houses and into a movie theater it's the sight of a 60-something man kicking serious butt. So Neil Rosen, Bill McCuddy, Bill Bregoli and our good friend and respected journalist Logan Hill take on "The Commuter." Oh, and did you watch The 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards last Sunday? Were you wearing black and cheering the women on or were you wondering what all the rich people were complaining about as they sipped their complementary martinis? We try and make sense of it all and we also discuss our choices for the upcoming Critics Choice Awards. It's not all glitter and glamor but we do kick some butt.
Nick & Kevin took their time with this one where they call their friend Logan, impersonate Edward Norton, and stumble into M. Night Shenanigans http://www.loganpatrickhill.com
Denzel Washington and director Antoine Fuqua re-team and hit the dusty trail in "The Magnificent Seven" so Neil Rosen, Bill McCuddy, Bill Bregoli and guest Logan Hill saddle up to see if this re-waorking of a classic western is worth moseying down to the old theater for. They also take a look at the hazing drama "Goat" and find some suprising performances and they take a gander at the indie comedy "My Blind Brother." Finally there's the historical drama "Free Star of Jones" starring that actor who drives a Lincoln when he isn't playing naked bongos. So git along little doagie and come to the movies with us!
Neil Rosen, Bill McCuddy, Bill Bregoli and Logan Hill put on their bibs and talk about the bizarre new Colin Farrell film "The Lobster" but before that they talk about the amazing Turkish film "Mustang" about growing up female in repressed country - it's a film that caught everyone by surprise and has some of us wondering if it should have won the Best Foreign Language Film at the last Oscars. We also take on the drama starring comedian Sarah Silverman titled "I Smile Back" and we hear what Ms. Silverman has to say about it.
"Star Trek Beyond" generated lots of controversy when its trailer came out recently but we've got inside info. Out special guest Logan Hill just got back from the "Star Trek Beyond" editing suite. He was researching an upcoming article for Wired and tells hosts Neil Rosen, Bill McCuddy and Bill Bregoli about watching this much anticipated movie get put together. Logan, who also writes for Rolling Stone, helps us review "10 Cloverfield Lane" and the sci-fi thriller "Midnight Special." Oh and there's TV talk too!
