Happy Women's Month. This series is a 4 weeks long (4episodes) series where I get to have conversations with some of the wonderful everyday people I had the opportunity to meet and are my inspirations in life. Everyday I am Inspired by how as human beings we are able to rise above all odds that were against us and like phoenix rise from the ashes that were meant to bury us & show up liberated and more resilient than ever before. My hope for this series is that we would have genuine open conversations where we are able to learn from each other and hold space for joy and healing and to know that; even in suffering, we are worthy of love, peace, joy and freedom.
The book is written by Dr. Edith Eva Ever, a holocaust survivor of Auschwitz. She is 92yrs young and holds a doctorate in Psychology. Dr. Eger shares the horrors of life at Auschwitz along with personal stories of struggles from her clients in an effort to help others heal from every day challenges we all face. It is such a hopeful book and provides inspiration even in the darkest of times. Dr. Eger really makes you feel like you can beat the worst of odds because she has done it herself!! She discuss 12 techniques to help you break out of your personal prison and find freedom to live your best life, no matter what your past experiences were. Throughout the whole book, all I kept saying to myself is, I can't believe that Dr. Eger could have had a past like she did and still be so positive and encouraging to others today! I also kept on reflecting to my own life experiences and getting a chance to actually revisit my own past and unlearn while learning to give myself the gift of forgiveness and grace. The Key note in this book for me are: · The ultimate key to freedom is to keep becoming who you truly are · Forgiveness is the gift you give to yourself. Without giving away too much on the book, I will be sharing with you 6 lessons that realy resonated with me from the 12 lessons shared to save your life from The Gift.
Once upon a time ( sometimes I still am), I was a major people-pleaser — a real pushover. I didn't know where other people ended and I began, and my decisions were based on what would make other people happy or comfortable. I thought this made me easy going, likable, and generally pretty cool. Little did I know that it really just made me lost, confused, and pretty unlikable. You see, when you go through life as a pleaser, you aren't living on your own terms. You think you're being nice, agreeable, and drama-free, but keeping your true self beneath the surface doesn't do anyone any favors. It just results in you being surrounded by rude, selfish, and unforgiving people who, instead of appreciating that you've put their needs first, treat you like a doormat. On today's episode I get to discuss people pleasing traits and how they have affetcted me in my life. I get to dive into understanding this concept, the quencequencies related to it, factors that come in play when we are living with it and tips on how to overcome people pleasing traits. Hope you enjoy and let me know how you have found the episode. with love, Grace
On Today's Episode, I reflect back on how the book Authentically Uniquely, You: Living Free from Comparison and The Need to Please by Joyce Meyer Help me heal my past trauma's and teach me new ways of dealing with comparing, competing and people pleasing. You will meet a young Grace and an Adult Grace in this episode, who from reading this book, they managed to come into terms with self acceptance, self forgiveness and feeling their feelings while letting them go when the time is right. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did when I was recording it and I hope you take a part of it and use it for your healing too. I would like to here from you and how this episode is helping you. share with me your views on instagram @authentically_switchedon
Have you ever said the following to yourself: I will be good enough if I have a husband or a wife; I will be worthy of love when I lose 5 kg, I will be good enough when I get a degree or qualification, I will be a complete person if I have children, I will be acceptable if I am admired …these are all conditions or prerequisites for worth set for us by the society. And because we buy into them we often find ourselves on the hustle for worthiness, love and belonging. The most crucial truth is You are hustling for worthiness if you are using the fomula: I will be Become of Value if:……… In this Episode, Grace Mothobi tackles the need to hustle for worthiness, the Power of love and Self-Love and the sense of Belonging. The episode was inspired by Gifts of Imperfection and Daring Greatly books by Brene Brown. Hope you enjoy and share your reviews on instagram, Anchor Message and Spotify

In the world we live in, people are addicted to a lot of things and what seems to be common in all this addiction is what we regard happiness to be. We believe that in order to be happy, we should be on the chase and happiness is in the next job, next friend, next relationship and the next day. we are addicted to the idea that the future is where success is, happiness is, and heaven is. We are motivated to this chase that even when we get there we never notice it, we never take a moment to take it in. Today we’re joined by Glad Mashego, a researcher of modern spiritualism, a philosophical atheist, governance & politics alumni and last but not list a Director& co-founder at Learn and Reign as we tackle this topic, Overcoming Destination addiction. Do you really know who you are as a person? What would be your ideal career? What kinds of traits do you prefer in a life partner? What are your political and religious beliefs? All of these questions relate to our view of who we are as individuals. The answers to these questions might change with time or experience. Some philosophers believe that the purpose of life is really to discover who we are. To do that, we need to explore lots of possibilities to find the answers to these questions. You have probably heard the term "identity crisis" before and you probably have a fairly good idea of what it means. But where did this idea originate? Why do people experience this kind of personal crisis? In the guest chair today we have Lizza Tshowa, a poet and a writer who acquired her bachelor of health science with Honours (in Biothics and Health Law) at wits and Bachelor of Public health at Monash University (SA). Her communication skills and team work competency have been through previous volunteering and formal working experience. Today we tackle the topic, Not an identity Crisis, which was inspired by the blog she wrote in 2018.

Sometimes during our life journey, we may feel “stuck” in a particular role or wonder why others seem to move forward at a faster clip while we remain in place. The truth is that opportunities don’t just fall into our laps, asking us simply to pick them up and run with them. Rather, the key lies in our ability to capitalize on opportunities whenever, wherever and however they arise. And that, as Seneca wisely said, requires preparation. Has there ever been a time opposition showed up when you were expecting something else? How do you usually answer when opposition knocks? On today's episode I chat with Pankie Rapholo, a leader of note who's passionate about serving the community and the youth as we tackle the most anticipated topic '' Knock till you find the door ment for you ''. Reading is to mind what exercise is to the body. You have most likely heard of the saying ''Leaders are readers'' or that '' knowledge is Power''. These statements should never be overlooked as there is power that resides in them. Reading is so fun, the thought of yourself gaining new & unknown knowledge is always fun. Authentic Reflections are dynamic and recurring process of considering one’s relationship with past experiences in order to develop strategies for approaching future experiences. It also entails using experiences as means of reflections on growth and for developing a personal narrative to your story. In this day and age, we are constantly responding negatively towards our environment, situations, our society, life and ourselves generally. We find ourselves inheriting a gene which genetically make us see the world as a darker place. This gene can also be born if someone has been nurtured in a negative and dysfunctional environment and to also have the mentality that the world owes you everything. This negative approach to life has let to anxieties, stress, depression, bad attitude, self-doubt and feeling inadequate. We end up feeling like we don’t belong, we complain all the time, we always think we are not good enough, and the way to respond to anything is by being negative and say hurtful things towards situations and our loved ones. Making things positive doesn’t mean a sunny outlook. It means making the choice to see problems as opportunities. Every problem and difficult situation is embedded with a solution, - the adventure lies in finding the solution. On today’s topic we discuss “Positive approach towards life” and ill be joined by someone who is living by these values, Tebogo Lesoro.
There's something about owning your power. It gives you credibility to be successful and it leads to increased confidence and understanding of how you can help others make decisions and achieve their objectives. In this topic we tackle 10points about owning your power.
