This is the audio version of my popular YouTube livestream, recorded every night from Sunday to Thursday. Subscribe for daily Canucks news and analysis that's positive, timely, and trustworthy. It's my Canucks take all in one take.

On my birthday livestream, I start off by welcoming my mother Joyce to the show. Then, I talk about the report from Rick Dhaliwal that the Canucks will not be re-signing UFAs Teddy Blueger and Derek Forbort. I end off by talking about reports beginning to emerge that the Canucks will not select Caleb Malhotra at number three.

In honour of Father's Day, my kids Sean, Jacob, and Kayla appeared on my livestream both individually and as a collective. As expected, it was wild, entertaining, and unpredictable. Then, I closed off the show by bringing in my 52nd birthday.

I welcome prospects analyst Steven Ellis of Daily Faceoff to mock the top of the first round of the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. We also talk about who the Vancouver Canucks could pick at 3 and 24 in the first round.

As part of their rebuild, should the Vancouver Canucks consider trading one of their veteran players for picks and/or prospects?Potential trade targets are Jake DeBrusk, Elias Pettersson, Brock Boeser, Filip Hronek, Marcus Pettersson, Thatcher Demko, and Kevin Lankinen.

I wrap up a busy weekend in sports with the Carolina Hurricanes winning the Stanley Cup, the New York Knicks winning the NBA Championship, and FIFA taking over Vancouver.I also spend some time talking about the upcoming NHL Entry Draft that is less than two weeks away.

The talk of the Canucks drafting centre Caleb Malhotra has picked up even more since the club named his father Manny as the head coach. I talked about what this might look like, and I did a quick recap of game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final. Then we ended with a few rounds of the most addicting game out there right now.

The first three games of the Stanley Cup Final between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Carolina Hurricanes have been must-see TV. Could this wind up being the best Final ever?We also talk about the NHL Draft Combine and I make an announcement about my Father's Day show coming up in two weeks.

New Vancouver Canucks head coach Manny Malhotra met with the media today to talk about a wide range of topics, ranging from culture, playing style, and the prospect of drafting his son Caleb.

Ryan Johnson met with the media today and confirmed what we all suspected: that Manny Malhotra was the Canucks' first choice all along for head coach.

Vancouver Canucks General Manager Ryan Johnson announced today that the team has hired Manny Malhotra as the 23rd Head Coach in franchise history.

It seemed like a slam dunk that the Canucks were going to hire Manny Malhotra as their next head coach. While that still may be the case, it's taking a lot longer than expected.

As many Vancouver Canucks fans hope that Ivar Stenberg is still on the draft board when they pick at three, they also seem to be unfairly "piling on" Caleb Malhotra.

I talk about the many reasons why Manny Malhotra should be the next coach of the Vancouver Canucks...and how it may or may not affect who they draft next month.

In this super-sized show, I spent the first 30 minutes talking about the Canucks firing head coach Adam Foote. Then I welcomed The Prospect Don to share his insights on this year's draft class, culminating in a Top 10 Mock Draft.

Today was a monumental day for the Vancouver Canucks franchise as the Sedins were named as Co-Presidents of Hockey Operations and Ryan Johnson was named as the new General Manager. I talk about some highlights from the press conference and I answer all of your questions.

Henrik and Daniel Sedin have accepted promotions within the Vancouver Canucks front office, although we are unsure as to what their new titles are.Similarly, we are still unsure as to who the new Canucks GM will be...although it feels like we are getting close.

It seems like the search for the next Vancouver Canucks is down to two finalists: Ryan Johnson and Evan Gold. Is there a chance the club will find new positions for both of them?As well, I bring on my mother Joyce in honour of Mother's Day.

With the disappointing draft lottery behind us, we Canucks fans can now look forward to 7 weeks of speculation ahead of the June 26 NHL Entry Draft. In tonight's show, I talked about some of the intriguing possibilities...and not just for the Canucks.

I break down all the big Canucks news of the day:-the Canucks lost both draft lotteries and will pick third in next month's NHL Entry Draft.-President of Hockey Operations Jim Rutherford announced that he will be stepping down following the NHL Draft.-the shortlist for the next GM is apparently down to five names. The Toronto Maple Leafs will pick first, and the San Jose Sharks will pick second.

Tuesday, May 5, 2026 could be one of the most important dates in Vancouver Canucks history...if the Canucks happen to emerge with the first-overall pick. In today's show, I preview the draft lottery by explaining the difference between winning the lottery and winning the first overall pick. I also revisit the 1999 draft when Brian Burke emerged with both Sedins. Then I make way for the viewers with some Open Mic time.

Daniel and Henrik Sedin will represent the Vancouver Canucks at the NHL Draft Lottery on Tuesday night.I talk about expectations for the Draft Lottery, and in particular the difference between expecting third when you can hope for first. To end off, I give away a pair of tickets to the Draft Lottery Watch Party at Rogers Arena.

Bad news for the Vancouver Canucks as defenceman Filip Hronek got injured playing for Czechia in an overseas tune-up tournament for the IIHF World Championships. Meanwhile, Hronek's long-time blue partner Quinn Hughes advanced with his Minnesota Wild teammates after beating the Dallas Stars.

I talk about how blessed we are as Vancouver Canucks fans to have had both Jim Robson and John Garrett (along with many others) call Canucks games. I also examine the current state of Canucks media and bring on a few viewers to share their thoughts as well.

We talk about the passing of popular Vancouver Canucks broadcaster John Garrett. Garrett passed away in Utah on Monday, April 27. We also share our favourite memories of him.

We look back at Patrik Allvin's four-year tenure as the Vancouver Canucks General Manager: the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I recap my appearance on the Sekeres and Price show before bringing on birthday boys Kempner Canucks and Jeff King for some Canucks talk.

I give my first impressions of the opening round of the playoffs and then I share my experiences from the Canucks Open House from earlier in the evening. As well, I recap the picks from my NHL Playoff Confidence Pool.

I reviewed the main storylines and quotes from Friday's end-of-season media availability for the Vancouver Canucks. In particular, I focused on the firing of Patrik Allvin, the search for a new GM, the rebuild, and team culture.

I do a quick recap of the Vancouver Canucks' 6-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers in the final regular season game for both teams. Then, I share details about my annual NHL Playoff Confidence Pool before we make our collective CCC playoff predictions.

I look some of the positive stories that have emerged from the Canucks modest winning streak, and examine what the team can build on over the off-season.

The Vancouver Canucks defeated the Los Angeles Kings 4-3 in their final home game of the season. The Canucks have now won three games in a row as they look ahead to their season finale Thursday night in Edmonton.

The Vancouver Canucks were only able to muster 11 shots on goal in a 2-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights. It was the Canucks' penultimate home game of the season.

The Vancouver Canucks have six more games in their regular season, so I explore some of the players and storylines to keep an eye on over these two weeks. As well, I share a big decision in the final 10 minutes of the show....one that might surprise you.

The Vancouver Canucks were defeated 5-2 by the Minnesota Wild in their first meeting since the mid-December trade. In losing, the Canucks have clinched 32nd place in the NHL and the best odds to win the draft lottery.

The last-place Vancouver Canucks defeated the first-place Colorado Avalanche 8-6. Brock Boeser led the way with a hat trick, Marcus Pettersson had three points, and Teddy Blueger scored a pair of goals in the unlikely victory.

I was joined by Patrick Johnston of Postmedia to talk about the Vancouver Canucks. We touched on a variety of topics including Trevor Beggs, Evander Kane, the rebuild, the future of management and coaches, and who the next captain could/should be.

Evander Kane of the Vancouver Canucks will play in his 1,000th NHL game Monday night vs. the Vegas Golden Knights. I recap his season with the Canucks, as well as recap the last week of games. And I share about my week away on a cruise!

Elias Pettersson scored two goals and both Marco Rossi and Brock Boeser had thre points in the Vancouver Canucks' 5-2 win over the defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers.

As the Vancouver Canucks look to embrace a full rebuild, I'm genuinely curious as to whether or not Canucks fans are going to be patient enough to ride the roller coaster that is going to come with it.

Marco Rossi led the Canucks to a 4-3 shootout victory over the Nashville Predators. Rossi had a goal and two assists as his line with Brock Boeser and Liam Ohgren had a very strong game. Tom Willander set a career high in minutes played, and Nikita Tolopilo stopped all three shots he faced in the shootout.

The Canucks put in a decent effort but fell to a more desperate Senators club in falling 2-0 to Ottawa. The Canucks' record falls to 1-1-1 since the trade deadline.

The Canucks had a much better effort but still came up on the losing end of a 6-4 game vs. the Carolina Hurricanes. l recap the Tyler Myers trade to the Dallas Stars and we spitball other possible moves for the club ahead of this Friday's trade deadline.

With the NHL trade deadline looming this Friday, we take a look at which Vancouver Canucks players are mostly likely to get moved this week.

The Vancouver Canucks returned to action with a 3-2 overtime loss to the Winnipeg Jets. The biggest news was off the ice, as Tyler Myers was held out of the line up due to "roster management reasons". Could we see the d-man get traded in the next couple of days?

USA defeated Canada 2-1 in overtime in an absolutely thrilling game to win Olympic gold. Jack Hughes was the hero in a game that the Canadians controlled throughout.

Canada beat Czechia 4-3 in overtime thanks to Mitch Marner's game-winning goal. They move on to face Finland in the semi-final on Friday.

Canada will face Czechia in the Olympic Quarterfinals in a rematch from the round robin stage. Canada won that game easily by a score of 5-0.
