They've arrested retired FBI agent Charles McGonigal, of the lead FBI investigators of 2016 Russian Electoral Interference by Putin-friendly Russian oligarch Oleg Derpiaska. The allegation? That McGonigal has spent the last year secretly working FOR OLEG DERIPASKA. And if that doesn't make you scratch your head, remember that one of Deripaska's employees was a consultant named Paul Manafort and by total coincidence one of Trump's campaign managers was a consultant named Paul Manafort. Plus updates on Biden's documents (we're up to EIGHT different stories now) and how the Arizona Senate race just changed, activating Kyrsten Sinema's aversion to three-ways. C-Block (29:08) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: Since it's baseball Hall of Fame announcement day, the story of the time I was asked at age 20 to call Willie Mays after he was banned from the game. Ray joins the pod from a hotel room in Calgary after wrapping up Johnny Gaudreau's return for ESPN. The guys talk an emotional return for ‘Johnny Hockey', and the mix between jeers and cheers for the former Flame.  Headlines covers the NHL's biggest story, Bruce Boudreau's firing from the Vancouver Canucks. The guys talk Boudreau's comments in a recent article from Micheal Russo of The Athletic, how coaches are usually fired, and Ray's position with wife Cammi Granato being part of Canucks management. Plus, what to expect out of new hires Rick Tocchet, Adam Foote, and Sergei Gonchar as they usher in a new era in Vancouver. Darryl Sutter made waves with his strange comments on Jakob Pelletier's NHL debut. Dregs spoke on the ‘walking back' of comments from the Flames Head Coach, and how they took away from a monumental moment for Pelletier.  Betano's Kris Abbott was tied up in meetings, and will have to wait to gloat after a big W in the pod's NFL picks! Ray & Dregs talk an eventful weekend in the NFL, the Cowboys taking heat from all directions, Josh Allen and the Bills disappointing end to the season, and the remaining matchups for next week's conference championships. Your questions are answered in Ask Ray & Dregs Anything! This week the guys speak on experiences with firings/trades, Ray's asked about what his goal song would've been in the 80's, which NHL roster he'd want to be a GM for, and sticks up for officials as a listener has NOT been happy with the refs this season.   Season 4 Episode 35 is presented by our title sponsor Canadian Club Whisky: who are asking: 'Are You Over Beer?', Boston Pizza - pick it up or get it delivered right to your door, let Boston Pizza do the cooking tonight, ‘The Game Starts Now' with Betano.ca - now available in Ontario, and by DUER: Use code ‘RNDPANTS' to save 15% off pants at DUER.ca.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

What a dramatic weekend in the NHL. We watched Bruce Boudreau's time in Vancouver come to an end in a very public way. Frank gave some insight into just how this situation got as toxic as they did. Did management want to make a change earlier? They also talked about the spot that Rick Tocchet is now in as the Canucks new Head Coach. They then went across Canada to talk about the news that Cole Caufield is going to miss the remainder of the season. The Canadiens have been moving up the standings recently, which goes against what a large part of their fan base wants them to do and that's tank for Connor Bedard. From there, Jason and Frank naturally transitioned into the Florida Panthers, who traded their 2023 first round pick to the Canadiens at last season's deadline. Right now, they're on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoff picture. Jason thinks they'll get in while Frank has them as sellers.Darryl Sutter also made some comments about rookie forward Jakob Pelletier, who made his debut on Saturday, that drew criticism. Is too much being made of this or was Sutter out of line? The guys gave their thoughts on it and then got into the current state of the Flames. Should they be looking to add ahead of the deadline?Episode 188 of The DFO Rundown is brought to you by Athletic Brewing Co.
