HIGH ROAD LEADERSHIP || PURPOSE & PRIORITIES || PASTOR THOMAS BULGAR One of the greatest keys to being a person who lives on the high road is realizing the new perspectives, purpose, and priorities God has for our lives. Because high road people see differently, they naturally begin to live differently. People on the high road learn to see and walk in God's purpose and perspective for their lives.

We want to specifically prepare hosts, facilitators, and coaches.Studies show that in general, people are 2.5 times more likely to read the Bible, share their faith, have a regular prayer time alone and with their families if they're in a small group.
High Road Leadership Circles is a journey we will take together as a small group or zoom breakout group. We will grow as servant leaders through discussing content from John Maxwell's book, “High Road Leadership.” FOLLOW ALONG WITH THE NOTES HERE: https://hftwchurch.ccbchurch.com/get.php?id=1063&tk=c7db49215cbbb24697638da222fcdcd9

I want to talk about what I believe is the key to the greatest year in Jesus you have ever had: that key is developing your spiritual growth plan. Some reasons why: The joy and potential of our lives does not depend on what happens to us but on the choices that determine what happens in us. Nothing has blessed my life or furthered my ability to be a blessing to my family and others than my commitment to have a personal spiritual growth plan. You can't remove problems and attacks on your life but you can outgrow (grow faster than) them. Everything you want in life is on the other side of growth. “The only guarantee that tomorrow is going to be better than today is if we get better.” -John Maxwell If you're not on the way to something better, you're probably stuck somewhere you don't want to be. Don't stay at halfway café. Many people as they look at the last 20 years don't have 20 years of experience; they have pretty much the same experience repeated 20 times. If we want a better family, career, spiritual life, it's not enough to work in these areas, we need to work on our family, our job, our ministry, and our spiritual life. Anytime we get better in some area of our lives it bleeds over and blesses every other area of our lives.

Today, we are gathering to unite and prepare for the launch of our fall life groups. Dr. James O Davis challenged us that we should prioritize our lives and churches around those things we can do to reach our highest potential in fulfilling Jesus' highest objective: “Go and make disciples in a way that finishes the task.” (It is easy to have plans and priorities but lose focus). We are convinced that raising up and multiplying healthy small groups is one of those highest priorities we can do for Jesus so He can finish His mission. Last month's podcast was about Unleashing the World Changing Power of Spiritual Mentoring: The Skills of a Powerful Mentee. I talked mostly from a challenge on how to be mentored and receive the most from others who coach or mentor us. Today, I want to apply it to being a mentor/coach who disciples others. I have two amazing pastors with me who have done this well and I want to bring them into the discussion to help make it practical and applicable. Unleashing The World Changing Power of Mentoring (PT.1) I want to share what I believe is a top priority for us in this season. I have never felt a greater burden to challenge church members to grow from being a member to being a mentor of others. This is the imperative command of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). I believe Jesus was saying that we must not finish our race without depositing in others the life Jesus has taught and given us, so the seeds in us can keep bearing fruit for generations to come. - Pastor Dale Walker Check Out More Lessons Here: Church in Las Cruces, New Mexico | Heart For The World Follow Pastor Dales Blogs Here: Home | dalewalkerlife

Growing into an Emotionally Healthy Adult The ultimate sign that we are growing into a spiritually, emotionally, healthy person is demonstrated in how we love people. The highest purpose and goal of the Christian life is to love well. "The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith." (I Timothy 1:5 NLT) Scott M. Peck said, "We are all born narcissists; learning to grow out of our narcissism is at the heart of our spiritual journey with Jesus. Living Out of Rest in a World Driven By Stress Introduction: Today, we come to one of the most important elements of an emotionally healthy spiritual life: learning to live a life of peace and rest in a world of strife and stress. Jesus gave us wonderful invitation: "Are you tired and worn out? Come away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me-watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I wont lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly. " (Matthew 11:28-30 MSG) Visit Pastor Dales Website for Teachings and More here:https://www.dalewalker.life/
ENGLARGING OUR SOULS WITH GRIEF AND LOSS Life is full of grief and loss. Often, especially in our culture, we tend to react to grief and loss as "alien invasions" that we want to deny, passionately avoid or get through as fast as possible. Many of us because we don't process these things Biblically, end up getting stuck or crippled by our pain (prisoners of grief). God's plan is actually that these losses are opportunities and His plans for transformation. https://www.dalewalker.life/ https://www.hftw.church/
JOURNEY THROUGH THE WALL There are many ways of describing what it's like to go through a time in which we hit a wall in our Journey with God. Spiritual maturity requires that you go through pain. it been called among other things, "The Dark Night of the Soul". it is a time where we feel great loss, disappointment, and maybe confusion in our walk with God. I is like Job who has his family Suddenly Die, Abraham who is asked to offer Isaac his son as a Sacrifice, David being undeservingly chased by Saul in the Wilderness in spite of having done nothing wrong. It is the Furnace of the Hebrew children, Paul and Silas beaten and thrown in jail. GOING BACK TO FORWARD We are going to be talking about legacy today. what is one thing you are especially grateful for that your parents or grandparents imparted to you? At the heart of this course is nurturing your relationship with God, especially in the silence and Scripture. How was your experience in practicing silence this week? In todays lesson we are Learning about how to go back to go forward. Like many truths in the Bible, this is a paradox ( First will be Last, Weak to be Strong). KNOWING YOURSELF THAT YOU MAY KNOW GOD,THE PROBLEM OF THE "SAUL SYNDROME" We have been talking about letting God bring healing and transformation from the inside out. Emotionally healthy spirituality is about recognizing that growing and being transformed is not just change in outward behaviors and new spiritual activities; it is at the same time, learning to let God go underneath the surface of our lives in the areas of our emotions and identities. it is allowing Him to address the inner hurts, wrong attitudes, and the unresolved issues in our mind and emotions. We want to discuss how to grow skills not only learning as disciple of Jesus in our small group setting but also how to most effectively grow and help disciple others. The goal of this new class and teaching is to learn how to be spiritually emotionally healthy leaders, who can effectively raise up spiritually emotionally healthy disciples. The most important role of a spiritual leader is not about what we do on the outside but who we are becoming on the inside. The secret of a great Leader: They have learned in every area of their life to receive so much grace from Jesus that they are always bigger and righter on the inside than anything they are facing or is coming against them on the outside. In Todays Lesson Pastor Dale Teaches on Hearing God in Decisions we Make. Serving God effectively depends on discerning and following God's voice. This is how we know and stay in God's will.In the last two weeks, we talked about prophecy and the key to learning how to hear and receive encouraging prophetic words to build up, strengthen, and bring God's healing to others. My appeal is that this will go from being a rare occurrence to an ongoing lifestyle. We can prophesy to people continually by having a heart to grow to be the best encourager we can be and then leaning into the Spirit to help us go to an even higher level. "We want to share something that goes to the heart of why we do Elevate, which is to get people on the path of intentional growth. Something happened when I was 16 years old that put me on the path to what I became and where I am today (Kenn Gulliksen). Before this, I would've assumed leadership and making a difference was just sort of automatic. We are on a journey to learn not just how to recognize the voice of God but how to hear and be led by God as a lifestyle. Leading our lives at the speed of God's voice. We've discussed many areas He wants us to hear His voice about (guidance, assurance, discernment, wisdom, ministry to encourage and bring God's love to others, words of peace for our storms, healing for our hearts. (Psalms 107:20). We have said that being led of the Spirit and receiving whispers from the Holy Spirit is the normal Chris)an life. “He leads me beside s)ll waters, restores my soul...” A class declaration: “The Sovereign Lord has given me a well instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. We want to learn how to expect to hear God not as a surprise interruption but as a guiding light leading us through life.We have been learning how vital this skill of listening, translating, and having the guts to obey God's voice is to the life of leadership God has called us.Listening and communication is a key to relationships. In this lesson Pastor Dale talks about how to get your focus back. Especially, in the holiday season we can get so rushed, distracted and full of stress. We end up carrying our yoke which is frustrating and too heavy, instead of the yoke (focus) Jesus is calling us to carry which is strategic and light. Pastor Dale also shares with us The older you get and the further you go in leadership, the more you realize you can't just go with the flow and react without becoming consumed by the urgent, distraction, and the less important. You must be challenging and intentional to not end up wondering where time and life went. Charles Hummel called it, “The tyranny of the urgent.” Being a leader and having a heart for people makes me susceptible to distraction and disorientation. Leaders see squirrels everywhere! It is easy for me to be an “opportunity and new idea alcoholic.” I hardly ever hear an idea I don't like. One of my easiest temptations is to be driven instead of led. Driven is what the flesh, world, and devil tempt us with. Being led is what the Holy Spirit offers us as the key to a fruitful life. Pastor Dale shares some tools that will help You to get your life back in Focus (Philippians 3:10-14) Follow along with the Leadership notes here: https://www.hftw.church/_files/ugd/a4b783_9a5b903c02e041548d8f32dd0471ef0c.pdf Visit us on Our Website: Church | Heart For The World Church | Las Cruces
On Todays Episode of Pastor Dale Walkers Leadership Podcast he Teaches Kingdom leaders to shift the atmosphere through choosing their attitudes. by making choices on the inside that change the moods, perspective, and opportunities for God to bring positive change on the outside. To “flip the script” and pull heaven down even when things feel like hell. A great attitude is not the absence of pain or struggling; it is the presence of a greater joy. It is not based on the circumstances but on who God is. We don't have joy because our circumstances are good but because God is good, and we refuse to ever get our eyes off of who He is. Psalms 121:1-2, I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not suffer your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will never slumber or sleep. Follow the Notes here: Visit us on our Website: Church | Heart For The World Church | Las Cruces

Welcome to the Dale Walker Leadership Podcast, a podcast focused on helping leaders grow so they can grow more and become better disciples for Jesus Christ. This week Pastor Dale explains how Elevate is a ministry to the servant leadership core of HFTW aimed at mining the incredible spiritual gold that is in all of us. You weren't made to be average; you were created to be exceptional. If people knew the potential and plans God has put inside of you, they would ask for your autograph. This potential is released when we are willing to intentionally raise the lid on our growth as a Christian and a leader. A Christian leader is simply someone who knows they have influence and chooses to learn how to use their influence to help others make their biggest difference for God. Raising the lid or the bar is like lifting the dam in an irrigation canal so more of the river can flow. “By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence” (2 Peter 1:3 NLT) “Never doubt God's mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination.” (Ephesians 3:20 TPT) For the Dale Walker Leadership Podcast homepage, visit https://anchor.fm/dale-walker-leadership For more information on the HFTW School of Missions & Ministry go to https://www.hftw.church/course-descriptions

Welcome to the Dale Walker Leadership Podcast, a podcast focused on helping leaders grow so they can grow more and better disciples for Jesus Christ. Today I want to cast a vision and a strategy I feel God has put on my heart for members and partners of HFTW. The directive of my life is to see HFTW become an apostolic center that empowers leaders to make their biggest difference here and in the nations. I believe the revival God wants to bring will happen as we grow ministry from the inside out. “I will pour water out on the one who is thirsty, I will flood the dry ground. I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring. Your offspring will grow like willow trees in the grass beside the water course.” (Isaiah 44:3-4) For the Dale Walker Leadership Podcast homepage, visit https://anchor.fm/dale-walker-leadership For more information on the HFTW School of Missions & Ministry go to https://www.hftw.church/course-descriptions

There has never been a time where there is a greater need for Christian Leaders to be raised up to lead for Christ in their families, churches, and vocational work. Christian leaders change the atmosphere, add value, and influence others to follow Christ at the very highest level.
