What does it really mean to be a Christian leader? In this message, Dr. John turns to 1 Timothy 6:11–13 and unpacks five commands the Apostle Paul gives to Timothy — and to all who want to influence others for Christ. Flee, pursue, fight, hold on, and obey: these are not suggestions, but the marks of a disciplined, Spirit-filled life. Whether you lead at home, at work, or in your church, this message is a call to stop drifting and start influencing — for the gospel's sake.Living the Truth: In this 3-week study of 1 Timothy 4–6, Dr. John Neufeld walks us through Paul's practical instructions to the church — the household of God. What does it look like to live as a genuine believer? What habits mark a life of faithful obedience? And why is it so essential that those who teach the gospel are themselves living it? This study brings those questions to life.

In a move that defies the stereotype of American mega-churches, the pastor of 24,000-strong Methodist parish in Kansas has announced he's running as Democrat for the US Senate in November. Adam Hamilton is also a best-selling author and podcaster. Hamilton joins a growing chorus of Christian ministers who are reclaiming faith from pro-Trump forces. But he's careful to stress, he's no liberal. Kathryn Post, a journalist from the Religion News Service is following this historic race.As the Royal Commission into antisemitism and social cohesion begins public hearings, we begin a three-part series on how three faith communities – Christian, Jewish, and Muslim – responded to mass violence inflicted on them. The gunmen inspired by the Islamic State group who opened fire on the Jewish Channukah festival in Bondi Beach last December brought religious violence to Australia at an unprecedented scale. But as those who've suffered similar tragedy shows, it is possible to rebuild. Our series, After the Storm, has already begun as a podcast on ABC Listen. But we're bringing part of those stories to air. This week, author Kevin Sack looks at the 2015 tragedy at the Mother Emmanuel Church, an historic Black congregation in South Carolina. Matters of Conscience, Part 2: In Part 2 of this two-part series, CH(CPT) Chris Erickson and West Point professor LTC Lee Robinson join host Josh Jackson to continue their candid conversation on matters of conscience for Christian military leaders. Together, they unpack a practical three-step framework for navigating the gray areas where faith and military service intersect—know your boundaries, check your motives, discern your impact. Drawing from their own experiences serving together, including a deployed Easter sunrise service and counseling soldiers from different faith backgrounds, Erickson and Robinson offer honest, sometimes disagreeing perspectives on prayer in formation, sharing faith with subordinates, and what it means to develop a personal "theology of approach." This episode is essential listening for any Christian officer wrestling with how to faithfully and effectively lead in a pluralistic military environment. ICYMI: Listen to Part 1 of this conversation here or on your favorite podcast app. Questions answered and themes covered in this interview include: What is a practical framework Christian military leaders can use when navigating gray areas of faith and profession? Robinson and Erickson offer a three-step process for Christian military leaders facing situations where the rules don't give a clear answer. Step one: know your boundaries—understand what's legally and professionally allowed, but recognize that many situations fall in a gray area where the legal framework won't resolve the question. Step two: check your motives—ask honestly why you're doing what you're doing. Is it springing authentically from your faith, or is there pride or another agenda mixed in? Step three: discern the impact—consider how your action might affect others, including whether it could be perceived as using your position to compel religious participation or as giving subordinates a green light to impose their own beliefs. As Robinson summarized: "It is permissible, but should I?" How should a Christian officer think about praying with or in front of subordinates? This question surfaces real, productive disagreement between the two guests. Robinson, reflecting on his time as a battalion commander, chose not to pray publicly with his unit—not because it was forbidden, but because of the weight of authority the position carries. "Battalion commander in the Army is just a monster position," Erickson noted, affirming the delicacy required. Robinson also shared a counterexample: he led a prayer with his team on a flight line in Iraq and said it was motivated by love and a desire to share comfort, not to signal his faith or compel agreement. Erickson, as chaplain, pushes back gently, arguing that commanders have just as much right to pray as chaplains do, but he also challenges chaplains themselves to stop and ask what they're trying to accomplish before praying. Both agree: the motive behind the prayer matters enormously. How should Christian officers approach praying at official military events like a change of command? Erickson draws a sharp distinction between the invocation he gave at a recent change of command and the prayer he led at a Christian worship service the next morning: "Those were two very different approaches." At the change of command, more than 60 soldiers were required to attend. He deliberately did not offer an exclusively Christian prayer. His reasoning: soldiers are compelled to be present, and a chaplain's effectiveness across an entire battalion depends on being seen as someone who serves the spiritual fitness of all soldiers—not only those who share his faith. This doesn't compromise his personal beliefs; it reflects a considered theology of approach to a setting where the context is institutional, not devotional. What does it mean for a Christian military leader to develop a "theology of approach"? At its core, it means going back to what you actually believe about God and what you believe God is directing, especially before entering complex situations involving faith and leadership. Erickson references Romans 14, which he argues reminds Christians that each person "will give an account of himself to God"—meaning subordinates are ultimately accountable to God, not to their commander's faith convictions. For Erickson, this shapes everything: it frees him to minister to soldiers of all backgrounds by engaging universal human needs, such as comfort, wisdom, counsel, leadership, without leading first with his denominational perspective. He describes counseling a Muslim soldier and a Jewish family both from his Christian faith, and both expressed genuine gratitude. "All truth is God's truth," he said, "and so I can share truth with you when the time is right." How can Christian military leaders check whether they're sharing faith out of genuine love versus pride or self-promotion? Both guests return repeatedly to the question of motive, and both connect it to authenticity. Erickson references the account of Jesus and the woman at the well in John 4, noting that her testimony was compelling because it was personal and genuinely transformational: "She went back and told others about that." The contrast he draws is a faith expression that's forced—slamming a Bible on a desk, tacking a gospel message onto a wedding—versus one that flows naturally from who you are. Robinson frames it as a binary: "Is that motive out of pride or is it out of love?" He applies it directly to his own flight line prayer in Iraq: "That was out of love." Erickson's challenge to listeners: "If your religious belief is something worth anything, then it should come out in those personal moments. It should be a part of who you are and why you live." Why do gifted Christian leaders fall—and what kind of formation helps us finish well? In this episode of the Lausanne Movement Podcast, Jason Watson speaks with Malcolm Webber about why so many Christian leaders fall—and why the answer is not simply better information, stronger gifting, or more ministry activity. Malcolm invites us back to Jesus' way of forming leaders through union with Christ, accountable community, tested character, God-given calling, and Spirit-shaped competencies. Main Points Leadership failure is often a formation crisis. Malcolm argues that many leaders fall because the deep issues of their lives were never addressed. Jesus shows us how leaders are formed. Jesus developed leaders through relationships, teaching, assignments, pressure, failure, and mission. Union with Christ comes first. Healthy leadership begins with abiding dependence on Jesus, not gifting, platform, productivity, or ambition. Leaders need an accountable community. Spiritual mothers and fathers, mentors, correction, nurture, and encouragement are essential for finishing well. The 5Cs offer a framework for healthy leadership. Christ, community, character, calling, and competencies help leaders pursue holistic growth. Finishing well requires intentional rhythms. Malcolm urges leaders to pursue personal growth, choose real accountability, practice spiritual rest, and receive wisdom from previous generations. Are central banks stealing your soul? In this show we explore why fiat debasement is a moral crisis and why Biblical stewardship now requires Bitcoin. We dive deep into the ethics of money production, the "hidden theology" of the Bitcoin blockchain, and why the global Church is ditching the dollar to reclaim financial sovereignty. The modern church often ignores the financial rot that weakens its influence. Most organizations function within a reactive cycle. Effective Christian leaders now recognize that ignoring the collapsing financial landscape constitutes negligence. We explore the intersection of faith and finance to understand why so many NGOs admit that their global mission suffers under current funding systems. We analyze the inevitable consequences of currency debasement and discuss why apathy is no longer an option for responsible leaders.Jordan Bush (@jmbushwrites) and Ahshuwah Hawthorne (@iAhsh) demonstrate how engineering rigor changes how ministry funds move across borders. They explain the function of their innovation lab where Bitcoin developers and ministry heads collaborate on building new solutions. They equip those on the front lines with the tools necessary to survive when the centralized banking system denies them access. We have accepted managed decline as the natural order of things. We discuss why Bitcoin functions as sound money that restores a moral framework to our economy. This conversation serves as a necessary check for anyone who wants to understand how incentives dictate human behavior and societal outcomes.Growing organizations often abandon the for-profit model as momentum builds. Restructuring as a non-profit arm of Brilliance Labs allows these groups to shift their focus from quarterly returns to long-term global impact. This move creates a foundation that enables ministries to hold value and sustain operations without fear of censorship or institutional overreach. The religious establishment frequently dismisses Bitcoin despite its role as a vital asset for our time. These digital assets create a bridge for people to re-examine their values, low time preference, and legacy. This week on *Consider This*, Justin Ebert is joined by Jim Johnson and Morgan Weece to discuss 2 Samuel 1–15 and 1 Corinthians 1–8. The conversation explores some of the most important and challenging moments in David's story, including the death of Uzzah, David's zeal before the Lord, the significance of the Davidic covenant, and the devastating sin of David and Bathsheba. Along the way, they reflect on what these passages reveal about the holiness of God, the danger of sin, the weight of its consequences, and the shape of true repentance. Then they turn to 1 Corinthians and consider Paul's emphasis on Christ crucified, the wisdom that comes from the Spirit, the calling and responsibility of church leaders, the seriousness of church discipline, the meaning of sexual holiness, and the practical challenges of marriage, singleness, and Christian freedom. The episode closes by considering how believers today can pursue faithfulness, wisdom, and love in the life of the church.

Unlike sales, ministry involves vulnerability—leaders commit themselves without fully knowing what's in someone's heart. Rejection can trigger insecurities and imposter syndrome, making leaders question their adequacy. While some rejection calls for self-examination in tone and timing, other moments stem from preaching transformation. The apostolic message calls for daily change, and not everyone wants that. Matt Walsh joins Allie Beth Stuckey for his first discussion about Episode 3 of his groundbreaking Daily Wire docuseries “Real History,” which dives deep into the untold truths of the American Civil War. Walsh challenges the mainstream narrative by exploring why the conflict wasn't simply a moral crusade over slavery, examining the complex mix of political power struggles, economic differences, cultural divides, and the spirit of secession that echoed America's own founding. He also sheds new light on figures like General Robert E. Lee — a brilliant Virginian torn between loyalty to the United States and defense of his home state — and questions how the North shaped the history we've been taught. Plus, Matt shares how he's become radicalized on criminal justice thanks to the suspected killer of Iryna Zarutska being found unfit to stand for trial. Matt reacts to soft-on-crime policies that prioritize criminals over victims and explains how the psychiatric industry has become a plague excusing the worst behavior in society. They also react to a bizarre clip in which Jennifer Siebel Newsom tries to use her trauma to relate to juvenile delinquents. Share the Arrows 2026 is on October 10 in Dallas, Texas! Christian Leaders Praise Trump As The New Jesus?
Are Megachurches, Christian Influencers, and Artificial Intelligence Breaking the Church? This week on the Good Faith podcast, Katelyn Beaty joins host Curtis Chang to confront the church's growing addiction to celebrity culture, asking how celebrity pastors, megachurch platforms, and AI are changing the way Christians are formed. Curtis even asks Katelyn to evaluate whether his public persona and the Good Faith platform risk becoming part of the very problem they're critiquing. If faith is becoming more online, more branded, and less embodied, this conversation asks the hard question: what happens to authentic Christian community, spiritual growth, and discipleship when personality starts to outrun the way of Jesus? 02:06 - Defining Persona vs. Fame 04:14 - Embodied Relationships vs. Platform 05:17 - Curtis's Personal Experience with Platform 09:56 - Dangers of Platform Culture for the Church 14:27 - Curtis's Dilemma: Content vs. Persona 17:58 - Navigating Platform Tensions as a Christian Leader 20:09 - Case Studies: Celebrity Gone Wrong and Right 25:34 - Community and Spiritual Formation Beyond Megachurches 30:10 - Technology, Evangelicals, and the Attention Economy 33:00 - AI and the Future of Persona and Platform 36:12 - Final Hope: Embodied, Material Christian Life Take the Listener Survey Sign up for The After Party Sign up for The Good List Mentioned in This Episode: More about Katelyn Beaty Katelyn Beaty's Celebrities for Jesus: How Personas, Platforms, and Profits Are Hurting the Church TIME: The True Story Behind the FX Documentary Series The Secrets of Hillsong Christianity Today's podcast: The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill New York Times: How the Willow Creek Church Scandal Has Stunned the Evangelical World More about Eugene Peterson Curtis Chang's The Anxiety Opportunity More From Katelyn Beaty: Katelyn Beaty's Substack The Beaty Beat Katelyn Beaty's podcast Saved by the City Katelyn Beaty's A Woman's Place Participant Guide: A Bible Study Exploring Every Woman's Call to Work Follow Us: Good Faith on Instagram Good Faith on X (formerly Twitter) Good Faith on Facebook The Good Faith Podcast is a production of a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan organization that does not engage in any political campaign activity to support or oppose any candidate for public office. Women of Faith in Leadership - Kingdom Leadership, Workplace Organisational culture, Christian women
Most leaders can recognise a toxic culture when they walk into one — but far fewer realise how easily they may be unintentionally contributing to it themselves. In this episode, we explore five subtle, often well-intentioned leadership patterns that quietly reinforce unhealthy culture, especially for Christian women who want to lead with kindness, grace, and compassion. From avoiding conflict to softening communication and over-functioning for others, these habits don't come from bad leadership — they come from caring deeply. This episode isn't about blame or shame. It's about awareness, clarity, and learning how to lead culture with confidence instead of absorbing it. In this episode, you'll learn: Why toxic culture isn't always caused by toxic people How kindness without clarity can unintentionally create confusion and dysfunction The leadership patterns that quietly weaken trust, safety, and accountability What Christ-centred, Spirit-led leadership looks like when culture feels hard How to shift from people-pleasing to confident, healthy leadership Next Step If this episode stirred self-doubt or made you question whether you're “leading well enough,” you're not alone. The Imposter Syndrome Blueprint is a short, faith-filled private podcast designed to help Christian women lead with clarity, confidence, and Christ-anchored authority — especially when navigating culture, conflict, and difficult people.

Leadership has an inside story that rarely makes the highlight reel. It’s the moment before the response. The pause before the decision. The quiet choice to lead yourself before you attempt to lead anyone else. In this episode, Carson, Chuck, and Ingrid sit with three case studies that bring self-regulation out of the theoretical and into the real — exploring what it actually costs a leader to stay authentic under pressure, to choose patience when urgency is screaming, and to take seriously the care of the body and soul that sustains everything else. These aren’t polished success stories. They’re honest looks at the interior life of leadership — and what happens when we neglect it. What is your leadership costing you on the inside? And is the person you’re becoming worth following? The resource we mention at the close of the episode is Leading Me: Eight Practices for a Christian Leader’s Most Important Assignment by Dr. Steve A Brown.
CHRISTINA Hello, everyone, I'm Christina Darnell, the managing editor of MinistryWatch, and today we're inaugurating a new feature here on the MinistryWatch podcast. Here's Warren Smith, the President of MinistryWatch, to explain. WARREN That's right, Christina. For the past couple of years, I've been writing a column called “Signs and Wonders.” “Signs and Wonders” is a column that shares thoughts on news items that either do not rise to the level of a news story for MinistryWatch or are slightly (even significantly) outside of our normal charity and philanthropy “beat.” My goal with the column was to be punchy, opinionated, and not to worry much about being slightly off brand. CHRISTINA And that approach has worked. Your “Signs and Wonders” column is often among our top ten stories of the week. WARREN So, after talking with you about that, we decided to do this audio version of the column. We won't be posting this on the website. After all, the “Signs and Wonders” column itself is already there, but we will be dropping this into the podcast feed each week, and we hope you enjoy it. CHRISTINA So what's up first? WARREN This week, the National Religious Broadcasters became the Pro-War Religious Broadcasters. It is not clear to me why the National Religious Broadcasters felt a need to issue a statement in support of Trump’s War this morning, but it did. I will not reprint it here. You can find it online if you are so inclined. CHRISTINA But it appears that the NRB might have outkicked its coverage, as they say in football. WARREN That's right. The Associated Press reports this week that even among the president's hardcore media supporters there is division. It will be interesting to see of MAGA media faithful remain…well…faithful. As up Wednesday, the American death toll is up to six people. The total death toll has topped 800. CHRISTINA We don't cover a lot of international news here at MinistryWatch, but you wanted to highlight the worsening situation in Nigeria. WARREN The situation in Nigeria is not getting as much attention in the U.S. as it deserves. Islamic radicals are trying to impose Sharia law to a large swath of the country, and local residents are resisting. What is happening in Nigeria could erupt into a larger conflict. CHRISTINA Nigeria has more than 230 million people, with Christians making up 40% of the population. WARREN If what is happening in Nigeria explodes into a full-blown religious war, the consequences could be devastating. More than a dozen Christian ministries, including Cru, Samaritan's Purse, Compassion International, World Vision, and SIM International have a presence in the country. CHRISTINA Closer to home, you've turned your attention to Christian romance novels. WARREN I was interested in and mildly frustrated by an article in Christianity Today about Christian romance writer Jeannette Oke. The 91-year-old author has sold more than 30 million copies of her soapy, sentimental books. CHRISTINA Several of them have been turned into Hallmark movies. WARREN I was interested because the story was well-written and fact filled. I was frustrated because the story failed to note that the romance genre has killed serious fiction in this country. Some reports say romance novels account for 30 percent of adult fiction sales. Maybe I'm just getting old and crotchety, but — in my view — “Christian Romance Novel” is an oxymoron. The sentimentality of a “romance novel” are in active war against the realism of true Christian fiction. Can you imagine a Christian publisher today bringing out Flannery O'Connor or Wendell Berry or Walker Percy? CHRISTINA Warren, let's pivot and talk about a controversy involving the beloved Minneapolis preacher and ministry leader John Piper. WARREN He stirred social media last week by tweeting a Bible verse. That Bible verse is Leviticus 19:34. “You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.” CHRISTINA But what seemed to generate the controversy was a one line comment he added. WARREN He then added this comment: “Christians know the miserable bondage we were all in.” CHRISTINA The post has (so far) gotten 1.9 million views and about 2000 comments. So why do you think the tweet got so much attention? WARREN The tweet is controversial because our current immigration policy is polarizing. Some of Piper's critics have included Calvary Chapel Chino Hills pastor Jack Hibbs and James Lasher of Charisma Magazine. One of my more perceptive readers, Salvatore Luiso, emailed me that it was “sadly ironic” that Piper is being criticized for taking a Bible verse out of context by people in the charismatic movement who engage in “absurd interpretations of Bible verses taken out of context.” He has a point. CHRISTINA Speaking of the charismatic movement, Paula White-Cain is at it again. WARREN At a conference in Florida called the Unleashed Conference, covered by Christian Leader, she urged attendees last week to give a “sacrificial seed…out of obedience to God, and she tied their giving to spiritual breakthroughs.” CHRISTINA The 2026 Unleashed Conference took place in late February, and featured speakers including former Kansas Governor Sam Brownback and Anglican priest Calvin Robinson. WARREN In other words, people who should have known better than to associate with Paula White-Cain, who was investigated by Sen. Charles Grassley a dozen years ago. CHRISTINA Can you give us a taste of what she said? WARREN Yes, here is a taste of White's message: “How many of you want to be a blessing?” she asked. “Because I'm telling you, there's an anointing of release right now. I want $100,000 to come in. I want $100,000. There are ten people that could give $10,000. There's a hundred people that could give $1,000. Get a check, make it payable to Paula White Ministries,” said White-Cain. “If you say, ‘I don't have it,' give a $100. Bring up a sacrificial seed.” To which I can only add: Stay as far away as possible from this charlatan's theology. CHRISTINA Warren, I've noticed in your social media feeds you often remember fallen military heroes. And this week you are remembering John Chapman. Who was he? WARREN John Chapman died in combat on this date in 2002. He was the first Airman awarded the Medal of Honor since the Vietnam War. If you don't know about him, check out this article. I highly recommend taking some time with it. It is the powerful story of a true American hero. And, I might add, the battle which cost him his life and for which he got the Medal of Honor, was captured on video by a drone that was flying over the battle to provide support. The video can be found on social media and it is done tastefully. It's not graphic. And I recommend finding it and getting a more immersive understanding of this hero's story. I should add that Chapman was a husband, father, and a committed Christian as well. CHRISTINA Any closing thoughts? WARREN I have some travel coming up in the next couple of months, and I would love to see you. I will be in Los Angeles in April and Dallas in May. I will be doing reader lunches in both cities. Let me know if you would like to join us. My email is wsmith@ministrywatch.com. CHRISTINA The producer for today's program is Jeff McIntosh. I'm Christina Darnell, with my co-host Warren Smith. Until next time, may God bless you.
Criticism is inevitable in leadership. The real question is not whether it will come—but how you will respond when it does. In Episode #681, How Christian Leaders Handle Criticism Well, we examine what Scripture teaches about navigating criticism with humility, courage, and discernment. Every meaningful leadership decision—whether in business, ministry, or organizational life—will eventually disappoint someone. Strategic shifts, personnel changes, cultural resets, or conviction-driven stands often invite pushback. Yet criticism is not always a sign of failure. Often, it is evidence that you are leading. This episode explores five biblical leaders who faced criticism in very different ways—and what we can learn from each of them. From Moses, we learn the power of prayer before response. When complaints mounted—even from his own family—Moses brought his concerns before God first. Prayer guarded his heart and shaped his leadership. From David, we learn restraint in the face of personal attack. Whether misunderstood by his brothers or betrayed by his son Absalom, David demonstrated strength under control. From Nehemiah, we learn focus. When critics attempted to distract him from rebuilding Jerusalem's wall, he responded with clarity: "I am doing a great work and cannot come down." From Paul, we see discernment. Sometimes he clarified his calling. Sometimes he endured suffering quietly. Sometimes he boldly defended the truth. And from Jesus, we learn that faithfulness outweighs popularity. He did not compromise truth to maintain approval. This episode also provides a practical framework for handling criticism today: examine it honestly, clarify calmly, guard your spirit, anchor yourself in your calling, and trust God for vindication. Handled poorly, criticism breeds insecurity and bitterness. Handled biblically, it produces resilience, humility, and courage. If you are facing criticism right now, this conversation will help you respond wisely and lead faithfully.
Christian leaders often miss five critical signs that children are carrying emotional weight from caregiving stress. Women of Faith in Leadership - Kingdom Leadership, Workplace Organisational culture, Christian women
Leadership rises and falls on the decisions you make — and for many Christian women, decision-making is one of the most exhausting parts of leadership. In this episode, we turn to the book of Proverbs to uncover timeless, practical wisdom for making decisions with clarity, confidence, and spiritual steadiness — even when the pressure is high and the fear of getting it wrong feels heavy. Rather than relying on confidence alone, Proverbs teaches us how to think like a wise leader, so you can make decisions rooted in truth, discernment, and trust in God. In this episode, you'll discover: why decision-making feels so heavy for many Christian women in leadership how Proverbs reframes wisdom as posture, not perfection the difference between seeking counsel and seeking consensus how to check your motives before making a decision and how to move forward confidently after you've made a wise choice — without second-guessing yourself This episode is especially for you if you tend to overthink decisions, fear disappointing others, or replay choices long after they've been made. You'll walk away with biblical clarity, renewed confidence, and a calmer, more grounded approach to leadership decisions.
In Episode #680, Spirit-Filled Leadership: Why Christian Leaders Must Be Led by the Holy Spirit, we explore what truly distinguishes Christian leadership from every other leadership model. In a world that prizes experience, strategy, and confidence, Scripture points to something deeper—dependence on the Holy Spirit. Leadership today carries immense pressure. Decisions must be made quickly. Teams look for clarity. Outcomes matter. While skill and experience are valuable, they are not enough for leaders who desire to honor God. Spirit-filled leadership begins with surrender—recognizing that wisdom, discernment, and lasting fruit come from walking in step with the Spirit, not from self-reliance. This episode unpacks the difference between being Spirit-filled and Spirit-led. Being Spirit-filled shapes who we are internally; being Spirit-led shapes how we make decisions. Drawing from the example of the early church in Acts, we see leaders who paused, prayed, sought counsel, and aligned their choices with God's Word before moving forward. We also examine how Spirit-filled leadership is revealed most clearly through character. Under pressure, what surfaces? Galatians 5 reminds us that love, patience, faithfulness, and self-control are not manufactured traits—they are the fruit of a life shaped by the Spirit. In practical terms, this means calm responses in conflict, humility in mistakes, integrity in hard decisions, and grace in difficult conversations. Finally, we consider how Spirit-filled leadership shapes culture. Leaders who walk closely with God build environments marked by trust, unity, and long-term resilience. They value people over performance and obedience over ego, understanding that leadership is ultimately stewardship entrusted by God. If you've ever felt the tension between urgency and discernment, or between ambition and obedience, this episode offers biblical clarity and practical steps to grow in Spirit-filled leadership—one decision at a time.

In this special role-reversal episode of LEAD Pods, host Matt Ehresman steps into the guest seat as he is interviewed by Lacey Scully, the editor of the Christian Leader magazine. Together they explore the fast-moving world of artificial intelligence and what it means for church leaders today. Matt shares how he personally uses AI tools in his work, from podcast production to daily church communication, and why he believes AI can be a gift to ministry leaders when it's used thoughtfully and wisely. This conversation isn't about hype or fear; it's all about discernment. Matt and Lacey talk honestly about the ethical concerns surrounding AI, the risks of losing authenticity, and the importance of keeping the human (and spiritual) elements at the center of ministry. Along the way, Matt offers practical examples for pastors and church leaders who are curious about AI but unsure where to start. The goal isn't to replace people, but rather to leverage these tools without losing your soul.

In this episode of the Profitable Christian Business Podcast, Doug Greathouse sits down with John Munsell, CEO of Bizzuka and author of INGRAIN AI: Strategy Through Execution, to unpack why most businesses struggle with AI — and what Christian leaders can do differently. John explains that AI failure is rarely a technology issue. Instead, it's a strategy and leadership problem. Without a unified approach, companies save time but fail to generate real value or revenue. This conversation explores how AI can become a force multiplier rather than a distraction, why AI fluency must be shared across teams, and how faith and stewardship should guide AI adoption. John also shares practical guidance for solopreneurs and leaders who feel overwhelmed by how fast AI is moving. If you're a business owner, leader, or solopreneur who wants to implement AI wisely, ethically, and profitably, this episode provides both clarity and direction. What You'll Learn in This Episode: Why AI is a strategy problem, not a tech problem The difference between saving time and creating revenue Why most companies fail without a unified AI framework How AI can enhance people instead of replacing them Why AI fluency should exist across the entire organization How Christian leadership shapes ethical AI deployment Practical AI advice for solopreneurs and small teams Key Quotes: "They lack a unified strategy." It seems like every few weeks, another Christian leader falls—and many believers are left confused, discouraged, or even mocked for their faith. In this episode of Behind the Mike Podcast, Mike & Joshua Stone slow the conversation down and ask a deeper question: Why does this keep happening—and what does it reveal about where our faith is anchored? This is not a reaction video. This is not about piling on fallen leaders. And this is not about abandoning Christianity.Instead, we talk honestly about:• Why gifting is not the same as godliness• Why public platforms often hide private struggles• Why Christian celebrity culture is leaving people spiritually disoriented• And how to build a faith that survives disappointment, hypocrisy, and failureIf recent stories have left you wondering whether Christianity itself can be trusted—or if your faith feels shaken by the failures of others—this conversation is for you.Christianity was never built on impressive people. It was built on an unchanging Savior.Chapters:00:00 – Why So Many Christian Leaders Are FallingThe exhaustion, grief, and questions believers are feeling right now00:26 – Is It Okay to Feel Shaken in Your Faith? Why doubt after scandal doesn't mean weak faith00:50 – The Real Problem Behind Church ScandalsWhat we build our faith on before leaders fall01:17 – A College Student's Perspective on Church HypocrisyWhy this generation sees things differently01:55 – When Christian Failures Go PublicWhy repeated scandals damage trust and fuel mockery02:49 – The Stage Is Not the SoulPublic ministry vs. private faithfulness03:38 – When a Pastor Falls, People Lose Their FaithWhy many believers were never taught where faith belongs04:48 – Mentors vs. Messiahs in ChristianityWhy following people too closely can wreck faith06:04 – Why God's Word Will Never Fail YouScripture vs. celebrity Christianity07:16 – A Bible College Story That Changed EverythingWhen powerful preaching didn't match real-life character08:43 – How Christian Hypocrisy Hurts the Church's WitnessWhat unbelievers actually see when Christians fail09:32 – Spiritual Talk vs. Spiritual MaturityWhy holiness shows up under pressure, not on stage10:28 – What Young Christians Are Really Seeing TodayFaith, stress, and everyday behavior outside church11:47 – Why Putting Faith in People Always FailsEven well-meaning leaders will let you down12:55 – How Leaders Drift Before Moral FailureIsolation, secrecy, and success without accountability13:39 – Why Accountability Matters in the Christian LifeFaith was never meant to be lived alone14:53 – How Christians Should Respond When Leaders FallTruth, humility, and refusing to panic15:48 – Christianity Doesn't Collapse When Leaders FailWhy Jesus—not pastors—is the foundation16:18 – Where Your Faith Must Be AnchoredWhy CSend us a textSupport the showWatch these podcasts on YouTube!Follow Us!YouTube: @behindthemikepodcastInstagram: @behindthemikepodcastTikTok: @behind_the_mike_podcastFacebook: @behindthemikepodcast

In this week's conversation between Dr. James Emery White and co-host Alexis Drye, they discuss what's left in the wake when a beloved leader - particularly one who works in the ministry of the Christian faith - falls. To be sure, there is heartbreak and disillusionment and confusion. And sadly, more and more frequently we're hearing about the moral failings of pastors or favorite authors - names like Bill Hybels, Ravi Zacharias and, most recently, Philip Yancey. Episode Links The recent news about Yancey was what prompted today's conversation. He's the author of such classics as What's So Amazing About Grace and The Jesus I Never Knew. His books have sold more than 20 million copies, and he is arguably the most beloved Christian author of our generation. This past week, he confessed to an eight-year extramarital affair. You can read more about that HERE. The first question posed by Alexis was, “Why does this keep happening?” Dr. White once wrote a blog titled “Why Leaders Are Falling (and why ‘There but by the grace of God go I' is so inadequate).” If you're interested in reading that you can find it HERE. We'd also encourage you to check out an early episode of the Church & Culture Podcast that touched on this as well: CCP4: On Pastors and Moral Failings. Dr. White also made note of the harm that can be done within Christian ministry through very broad, generalized NDAs that are used to cover up a multitude of sins. For more on this, we'd encourage you to go back and listen to CCP67: On the Secrets of Hillsong and the Duggars, and a blog titled “Should a Church Use NDAs?, which you can find HERE. Dr. White brought up how much of the sin that seems to grip leaders - including Yancey and Hybels - is sexual in nature. Dr. White wrote about the importance of those in ministry guarding against this type of sin in his books What They Didn't Teach You in Seminary and A Traveler's Guide to the Kingdom. Finally, Alexis asked how the body of work - whether sermons or books or Bible studies - related to these fallen leaders is to be handled. Dr. White wrote a helpful blog on this topic that he touched on in today's episode. We'd encourage you to read “Evaluating the Fruit Test” HERE. For those of you who are new to Church & Culture, we'd love to invite you to subscribe (for free of course) to the twice-weekly Church & Culture blog and check out the Daily Headline News - a collection of headlines from around the globe each weekday. We'd also love to hear from you if there is a topic that you'd like to see discussed on the Church & Culture Podcast in an upcoming episode. In this episode, Nathan and Cameron engage in a deep theological discussion on the breaking news surrounding Philip Yancey, the influential Christian author of The Jesus I Never Knew and What's So Amazing About Grace, who has publicly admitted to an eight-year affair and withdrawn from all public ministry. Framed for Christians seeking thoughtful, biblically grounded reflection on current events, the conversation explores sin, repentance, moral disqualification, trust in Christian leaders, and the dangers of celebrity and guru culture within American Christianity. Nathan and Cameron wrestle with hard questions about grace, perseverance, accountability, and how believers should respond when a beloved theologian or Christian thinker falls, while ultimately re-centering faith on Christ and Scripture rather than personalities. This episode will especially resonate with Christians looking for serious theological analysis, cultural critique, and spiritual wisdom in the midst of yet another painful church scandal.DONATE LINK: https://toltogether.com/donate BOOK A SPEAKER: https://toltogether.com/book-a-speakerJOIN TOL CONNECT: https://toltogether.com/tol-connect TOL Connect is an online forum where TOL listeners can continue the conversation begun on the podcast.

Climate alarmists don't just get the science wrong but also demonize the engine of wealth that has brought billions out of grinding poverty; and this "climate colonialism" is "morally unconscionable," a Christian leader says. "What I believe we're seeing in the demand from wealthy Western nations that we fight climate change by reducing our use of fossil fuels is that they are demanding that the poorest nations of the world forego the use of the most abundant, affordable, reliable energy sources that can lift them out of poverty and keep them out of poverty," E. Calvin Beisner, president of the Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation, told The Daily Signal.
