When you say you will do something, it needs to get done!!In today's episode, we talk about the importance of building trust with yourself that your promises will be kept. Once you have developed that relationship with yourself, achieving any goal becomes so much easier!

A lot of the roadblocks and walls that we run into are caused by the subconscious programming in our minds. When we retrain our subconscious mind to support our wants and desires, we find that the world acts much more in our favor. The biggest enemy you have is limiting subconscious beliefs. In this episode, we talk about the ways that the subconscious mind has been programmed since birth and how we can work to reprogram it ourselves. Your goals cant be reached until you believe they are possible!

Life is not designed to reward you for reaching one ultimate goal. Instead, the foundation of growth and success is routinely meeting small goals and taking steps forward. This is what I like to call the infinite staircase. Too many people have a vision of achieving success and then being done. They have a place they want to get to and will be happy and done working when that goal is achieved. Understand that the staircase never ends. You have to keep getting better each day, or you will go backward.
Many people are simply waiting for 2020 to be over in a hope that 2021 comes along and solves all of their issues. While 2020 has been a tough year for everyone, we have to take the burden on yourself to make 2021 better. We all have problems that existed before 2020, and they will continue to exist after this year is gone. Waiting for the date to change will only lead to more disappointment when January 1st comes and the problems we wanted to disappear are still here.2021 starts now. Use these last 30 days of December to start your new year in a productive way. Momentum is key, start building it now.

How many opportunities are missed by capable people simply because they are afraid of rejection?-In reality, there is no reason to fear rejection. Rejection is a sign that we are pushing out of our comfort zone and attempting to add new things to our life or career.-The real damage is done when we avoid opportunities out of fear of being rejected. When we fail to even try, we sell ourselves short on what we could have been. -You must find a way to use rejection as fuel. Find a way to learn from each rejection and use it to push you forward and improve. When you are rejected, it is a sign that you have something to work on. -It only takes one "Yes" to change your life. You may have to make your way through thousands of rejections, but the payoff at the end is always worth it. Nothing worthwhile has ever been accomplished without struggle. -I challenge you to stop looking at rejection in a negative light. Instead of running away from it, chase it down and use it to fuel your growth.
Fear and uncertainty are often viewed as emotions to avoid at all costs. Fear is not an indication of something you should avoid, but rather a sign that there is a chance for you to grow. When you feel uncertain about a task or a new opportunity, you need to ask yourself if the emotion is coming from a place of fear. If we continue to run away from fear and avoid it, we will never take the opportunities life gives us to push out of our comfort zone and grow!
Often we focus too much on results and not enough on the processes that allow us to achieve them. You will often hear people in sports say to "Trust The Process"; but what does that really mean? The idea of attacking the process is that by consistently doing the work required, and doing it the right way, the results will take care of themselves. Find your process and make a commitment to attack it every day! You will be shocked how quickly your goals come to fruition.
Why does Self Care get pushed to the back in our society today? The reason is actually pretty simple for most people: When taking care of yourself, it feels like you are not getting anything done! What exactly is a growth mindset? Is it the attitude of always wanting to get better and improve your life? Actually Growth Mindset is something much deeper and more important. The real growth mindset comes from the way our body and brain continue to motivate when we reward effort and not results! It's not about the destination. To achieve a real growth mindset you must learn to reward yourself for the process of putting in the work!
Most people have a serious problem saying no. This usually leads to your days and weeks filled with things and events that you don't really want to do, but have committed to anyways. Most people view decisions as either good or bad and make this decision based on the outcome or the result of the decision. In reality, decisions contain three parts and the outcome of the decision has very little impact on if the decision was a good one or not. In order to make the best decisions on a consistent basis, you must be able to weigh the risk in an unbiased way and make a decision based on the odds of success. After learning this, you will begin to understand that a decision is good or bad based on the risk, not the outcome.

Discipline is the one quality that separates the great from the average. While it is easy to have a good day or a good week, you can only see results when you start to work hard on a consistent basis. That is impossible without discipline. Discipline is doing what you know you should do instead of what you want to do. The good thing is that anyone can develop discipline in their life, it is a skill that can be learned by continuously doing things you know you should. Here are three easy ways to develop discipline in your life today.
Many people have things they want to improve on in life. Maybe its communication skills, anger control, or working out more. No matter what it is, simply wanting to change is not enough. If you don't consistently hold yourself accountable, you will be constantly living the same loop and not improving on your weak areas. In order to improve, you must always be looking to hold yourself accountable and call yourself out on your weak areas. It's the only way to get better!
Our generation is plagued by a victim mentality. So many people want to blame others for their problems or failures. They also want to cast others in the light as lucky or privileged and use that as an excuse for why they are not successful themselves. In order to start changing that, you need to take ownership of everything that happens in your life. Stop blaming other people and start realizing that the only person to blame is the person in the mirror. When you start owning your life instead of being a victim to it, success will be on the way.
Why do people accept an average life? Society has trained us to believe that we should be grateful for living a secure and average existence. We have been told since day 1 that If we have a 6 figure salary and are comfortably supporting your family, we shouldn't need or want anymore. This type of thinking has led to a whole generation of people who are content with living an average life and never following their dreams. Don't fall into that category. Never settle or accept anything less than your worth!
When you see other people succeed, you have two choices of how to react. You can either let their success motivate you, or you can let it discourage you and take the victim mentality. Many people fall into the latter. They blame everyone else, call the person lucky and wish it was them that was winning. Learn to be happy for others and use their success as motivation, and you will end up winning yourself.
Have you ever noticed how most people seem to always have great ideas but never take action? It's a shame because when you wait on a great idea, someone else will come in and jump on the opportunity that you missed. You have to learn how to separate your great ideas from average ones and act on the important ideas in your life.
What is Motivation? I'll give you a hint. It's the same category as anger, sadness, anxiety, or love. Motivation is an emotion. Just like all other emotions, motivation takes a path through your mind and body that starts strong and fades away. Between these gaps of motivation, you will still need to be productive in order to be successful and reach your goals. Learn to master discipline to keep that motivation fire burning.
Have you ever wondered why some people seem to push through anything in life and others always quit at the first sign of adversity? Many people say that you have to have a strong "why" to prevent yourself from quitting. I see it differently. The ones who really never quit are the ones who fall in love with the process. Learn to love the struggle and you are on a sure path to success.
A common theme today is that if somebody disagrees with you on an issue, they want to hate everything about you. Are politics really worth relationships? In this episode, we talk about why you should learn to disagree with someone without hating them. It's an important skill to learn to rise above the average mindset.
Should we lower the speed limit to 40mph everywhere in this country? We know it would save lives. This is a very conflicting question and most people will avoid answering it all at costs. We break down exactly what both sides of this question mean, why it is relevant today, and some good answers I have gotten.
Chances are, you probably know somebody you view as very confident. While the initial reaction is to think that this trait fo confidence is natural, the opposite couldn't be more true. Self Confidence is earned, and you can develop it by doing hard things that other people wouldn't. Don't let anyone fool you. Self-confidence is earned, not faked.
What are the values you live your life by? If more people focused on discipline, hard work, and consistency, we would have a lot more successful and positive people in this world. That is why I call these The Big 3. If you can master these three traits, you can accomplish and overcome any obstacle in your way.
