It’s safe to say, we all do, and Christie Gardner and Michelle McCullough are here today to help you see that and to help you know it’s okay to feel that. They also want you to know that gratitude can be a great tool for finding solutions during a challenge. Challenges remind us what it is to be human, and gratitude reminds us what it is to be spiritual beings. Therefore, gratitude can help us find the light in life’s dark places. Our challenge to you is to find new ways to practice gratitude without feeling guilty that you don’t practice gratitude as much as you think you should. Instead of focusing on how often you feel gratitude, focus on some different, new ways you can practice it. Remeber, women are that they might have joy, and gratitude comes through joy!

What does true service look like to you? For John and Chase Hansen, it’s about getting to know the homeless around Utah. Today they sit down with Michelle and Christie to talk about how and why they began their journey of serving those without a place to call home.As a father, John wanted to teach his son, Chase, how to put into practice what he learned in church about ministering. “If you’re on a mission to serve, you go look for opportunities,” and that’s exactly what they did when they started talking one on one to people who were homeless. What started out as a simple life lesson to a son turned into an ongoing effort called Project Empathy—a community of people working together to continue service to those less fortunate.John and Chase want you to know that you can go and be the good in the world simply through positive human connection. Say hi to someone, smile, be a friend. It’s the tiny acts that can make the biggest difference. You just need to show up, be brave, and do it.Join us in being inspired by these two gentlemen by watching our episode today.
