We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions. Bianca Melchior almost didn't believe she got the role of Fern on The Way Home. Her agent opened the call like she'd lost the part. She screamed loud enough to wake her entire block when she found out the truth. This is that interview, and it only gets better from there. What you'll hear in this episode:• How Bianca's agent faked her out on the Fern casting call, and exactly what her reaction sounded like to her neighbors• Dan Jeanotte's theory that Cliff on The Way Home and every other cop he's played are actually the same person (the Hallmark Cinematic Universe is real, apparently)• The full story behind episode 9's catacombs scene, how Dan prepared for it, and why Bianca was in tears at the wrap party seeing his performance for the first time• What was actually going through Fern's mind during the explosion, and why that moment is a turning point for who she is• Bianca's cover of Tainted Love on The Way Home's Apple Music playlist and why it's the emotional hinge of Fern's entire arc this season• Dan's reggae version of Tainted Love that did NOT make the final cut, and the less said the better• What it felt like to join a well-established cast in season 4 and how the entire Way Home family across all three eras pulled them inChapters0:00 - Welcome2:30 - Bianca's Casting Call Fake-Out: The Screaming Story5:30 - Breaking Down Episode 9's Catacombs Scene8:30 - Fern, the Explosion, and Everything About to Change11:00 - Tainted Love, the Soundtrack, and Dan's Reggae Cut13:00 - What It Means to Join The Way Home Family in Season 414:30 - Eric Refuses to Watch Episode 10 (Yet)Did you make it through the catacombs scene without anxiety? We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions. The Way Home Episode 9 ends with a tunnel explosion, a gunshot, and two actors delivering some of the best silent acting this show has ever put on screen. We watched it multiple times. We cried multiple times. And we still have questions. We cover everything in this one: the fan mail that perfectly sums up how confusing The Way Home has gotten, the Fern-Katherine reunion that wrecked Andrea, Griffin earning a possible spot as the worst character in the show's history, and the ending that had us texting each other in all caps. We also get into the fan theories going around right now about what The Way Home actually is, whether it's a coma dream, a book, or something far weirder. And we make the case that Kat has had more chemistry with Suzanna and Thomas than she's ever had with Elliot. We stand by it.One episode left. Two hours. Here's where we are. What you'll hear in this episode:• The fan mail from Albuquerque asking where to even begin making sense of The Way Home, and our actual suggestions• Why Andrea cried watching Episode 9 multiple times, including during the Fern and Katherine reunion• Griffin taking Alice's picture in the woods, and why we think he might be the single worst character this show has produced• The tunnel explosion ending broken down: Dan's jaw-dropping acting, whether Elliot's mom shot him on purpose, and what the Augustine brothers situation means for who actually survives• The moment the pond rules felt like they got quietly bent, and why it bugged us• Fan theories making the rounds on Reddit and Instagram: coma dream, Cat writing a book, Alice in Wonderland hallucination• Every question that still needs an answer heading into the two-hour finale: Griffin's whereabouts, 11:11, who's getting married, where Jacob jumpsChapters0:00 - Fan Mail: "I Find The Way Home Confusing as Hell"4:00 - Episode 9 Overview: New Year's Eve 19258:00 - The Moment That Made Andrea Cry Multiple Times12:30 - Griffin, Danny, and the Letters: Who's the Worst Person Here?17:00 - That Tunnel Explosion Ending21:00 - What Didn't Work: Evelyn, Pond Rules, and Alice in the Bushes25:30 - Fan Theories: Is The Way Home Just a Dream?29:00 - Every Question We Need Answered in the Finale33:15 - See You at the FinaleDid you actually think Kat and Elliot had chemistry this whole time, or have you always felt it was a little flat? Ryan joins us this week to head back to the pond for another episode of The Way Home. ABOUT: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 8) As Kat works to piece together what lies ahead, Elliot tries to learn more about Tessa as he does his best to reconnect with his mum. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 8) June 7, 2026 | Hallmark Channel CAST & CREW OF: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 8) Chyler Leigh as Kat Landry Evan Williams as Elliot Augustine Sadie Laflamme as Alice Dhawan Andie MacDowell as Del Landry BRAN'S THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 8) SYNOPSIS The episode starts right back in 1925, Elliot clearly staying back on purpose. He goes to tell his mom that he's staying and she's unimpressed. She's leaving there soon and she's not letting him change her plan. Cliff comes by and Fern tells him that Elliot's name is Tom Buchanan. Cliff tells Fern it was nice seeing her on his porch again. Elliot decides he's going to join the family business. Back in the present day, Kat is having a really hard time with the fact that Elliot clearly saw this picture of himself in the paper and didn't tell her. Del is like well before you jump to conclusions, wait until you can talk to him. Back in the '20s, Elliot plays the piano so that Cliff and Fern can dance. He sings Time After Time. Tessa shows up and it's time to answer some questions. She jumped with Griff and showed up in 1882. She got sick. So Griff came back to get some medicine but never returned. Elliot brings up the letter she sent to Vic but she doesn't know what letter he's talking about. He's like why would someone think you're dead? Back in the present, Jacob and Abby kiss big ones. Things are getting serious between them. At a party, the reel starts playing but Kat and Alice notice that someone cut Kat out of the reel. They theorize that Evelyn must've cut the reel which would mean she knows that Alice is a time traveler. So she jumps in to talk to her. She sees that Del is pregnant! Speaking of jumping, Kat ended up jumping and goes to talk to Elliot and he's thrilled to see her. He apologizes to her for not telling her about the newspaper. He says it's his fate though, not hers. Kat gives Tessa a piece of her mind for leaving Elliot behind. She'd never leave Alice behind. And it's clear Tessa knows Alice right away. Abby comes over for dinner and it gets real awkward when she talks about how farm life isn't for her and that her life is still in Toronto. Alice is hanging out with Evelyn. Evelyn begins to question her. Why hasn't she gotten older? What's her story?! Bad news - turns out Cliff isn't leaving town for a big award. He's actually trying to capture the big fish! Fern and Kat go to warn Elliot and Tessa but it's too late. The feds are here! Cliff has them good as caught but when Fern shows up, he lets them go cuz he loves herrrrrr. The next day, Kat and Elliot listen in as Fern basically tells Cliff that she loves him and they....hug big ones? Kat and Elliot go to leave, expecting Tessa to come with. She's like nah. Elliot says I'll come back New Year's Eve. Come find me. Sam tells Del that he knows about the pond. The episode ends with Kat and Elliot back home. They figure out a code that Fern uses in the newspaper to help with the bootlegging. The code says that 5 people went into the tunnel, but only 4 people came out. Things are heating up as we draw closer to the series finale of The Way Home. Some answers are revealed while some very important questions remain unanswered. But that's what makes this series so much fun. Join us in The Hallmark Cafe as we try to connect the past with the present and toss around our ideas as to what exactly is going on!
We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions. The Way Home Season 4 Episode 8 just handed us one of the biggest Sam moments of the season, and we need to talk about it. Did Elliot just invite his mother to her own death? We think he might have, and that parallel with Kat is not a coincidence. We're breaking down everything in S4 E8 of The Way Home, including the Sam bombshell at dinner, the tarot card the show quietly got wrong, why Evelyn's isolation has been foreshadowed since Season 3, and the Jacob and Abby "I love you" moment that was very, very Hallmark. What you'll see in this episode:• Why Kat and Elliot are practically the same person, and why that makes them both terrifying with a time pond nearby• Sam finally lets on that he knows about the pond, and what that reveal actually means for the final episodes• The Hermit tarot card from Season 3 that was drawn upright when it should have been reversed, and why flipping it would have perfectly predicted who Evelyn becomes• Fern and Elliot singing at the piano with Cliff in the room, and the moment Tessa walks in and says that's the song she would have sung to him• Why Jacob and Abby said "I love you" before asking a single practical question about their actual lives• Our biggest fear for the finale: too many unanswered questions, not enough runway to land them0:00 - Season 3 Rewatch Check-In and Season 4 Feelings4:30 - Episode 8 Breakdown: Tainted Love or Time After Time?8:00 - What We Liked: Tessa Reveals, Evelyn's Isolation and Cliff's Surprise Move12:30 - Sam Knows About the Pond (And What That Changes)16:00 - What We Didn't Like: The Most Hallmark "I Love You" of the Season19:30 - Standout Scene: Fern, Elliot and the Piano21:30 - What We're Expecting from the Next Episodes23:10 - Next Episode: Nikki DeLoachDrop your theory about Sam in the comments. Some words and experiences come with a lot of baggage, conjuring up fear, stigma, and shame. But being afraid or ashamed doesn't protect us from those experiences or those words. It just keeps us from really understanding them or being able to talk about them. And what we can't process for ourselves, we can't help those we love and lead with either. In the clinical space, dissociation is one of those words and experiences that is met with a lot of discomfort. How people were taught and trained to address dissociation often perpetuates shame and stigma, and its pop culture depictions and usage haven't helped either. But my guest today has spent her career making the case that dissociation isn't rare, or even necessarily pathological; it's actually a common and deeply human experience that ranges from everyday zoning out to more complex presentations that do need support. And as you'll hear, Dr. Jamie Marich believes understanding this spectrum isn't just a matter of clinical education, but is vital for our own self-knowledge and how we lead others.Dr. Jamie Marich, PhD, LPCC-S, REAT (she/they) began her career as a humanitarian aid worker in Bosnia-Herzegovina from 2000-2003, primarily teaching English and music. Jamie travels internationally teaching on topics related to trauma, EMDR therapy, expressive arts, mindfulness, and yoga, while maintaining a private practice and online education operations in her home base of Akron, OH. Ryan joins us this week to head back to the pond for another episode of The Way Home. ABOUT: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 7) Some questions are answered for Elliot and Kat, while others linger. Meanwhile in the present, new choices arise for Alice as she evaluates her future. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 7) May 31, 2026 | Hallmark Channel CAST & CREW OF: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 7) Chyler Leigh as Kat Landry Evan Williams as Elliot Augustine Sadie Laflamme as Alice Dhawan Andie MacDowell as Del Landry BRAN'S THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 7) SYNOPSIS The episode starts with a flashback to where KC and Sam met for the first time. KC walks up to Sam playing chess, beats him very quickly, and tells him that they met in the future. They know Sam and Del. They ask him if he can help with some legal advice on how to save Del's farm. Sam picks up on the fact that they know both Del & Sam in the future and he takes that to mean that Del and him are together in the future. Cut to present day and KC finds Sam at the same chess table. Sam says so much for that future you promised me. And KC tells him just because you know your future doesn't mean you shouldn't fight for it. In the '20s Tessa is not happy. She tells Kat that she's messed up her entire operation. Elliot comes downstairs. He's finally woken up and Kat checks on him. Fern is in on it too. Kat tells Fern she doesn't have to go along with things. Elliot and Tessa take a walk down to the pond. He tries to hash things out and she's like I don't have time for this. You and Kat have ruined everything. People rely on me here. Elliot is like but why did you do it? She says she thought it was the right choice at the time. Sam and Del hang out and she thanks him for saving her in the corn field. I'm not sure how much this actually matters but Cliff and Fern kiss as Kat watches on. She goes to find Elliot down by the pond. Kat says it's time to go home, but Elliot decides to stay back at the last second. Kat ends up coming out in '79. Old Fern just says give the boy some time with his mom. Also, us Landry women are cursed in love. Alice sees KC again and is like I took your advice and deferred my acceptance. KC is like how'd you get that from what I said?! KC joins them all for dinner where Alice tells them she's not going to college. It doesn't go great. KC runs to the pond. Before jumping, they tell Alice they wanted to just have some fun before everything changed. Alice jumps into the pond hoping to follow but just ends up back in 1979. Or should I say almost 1980. And Griff is back. Alice watches as Colton and Del are still struggling with not starting a family yet. Alice then sees that her mom has shown up in another film reel, this time from a reel in 1974. Evelyn is like oh I know her. She's the white witch who saved me from drowning as a kid. Tessa comes in to ring in the new year. In the present day, a piano repair man comes to fix that stuck key. Jacob and Abby are spending a lot of time together and she's really digging him despite him talking a lot about dirt. Turns out there was a note on that key. It's the opening page from the Alice book that Tessa gave Fern. On the back is a letter from Cliff to Fern about how he loves her. Could Cliff be Colton's grandfather? Del remembers that she told Sam that she loved him when he found her in the corn field. Jacob and Abby kissssss! Then Del and Sam kissssss and they both say they love each other. Kat keeps trying to jump in the pond but the pond won't take her. She finds out that Elliot requested a sabbatical at work. Then she finds all of Elliot's newspaper clippings and she finds one that is a picture of Elliot in the '20s, called The Big Fish and going by Tom Buchanan. We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions. The Way Home just name-dropped "Some Like It Hot" and Eric is not letting it go. Nick called himself Spats. The character Spats in that film witnessed the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Al Capone is connected. The 1920s timeline suddenly has a lot more layers, and this episode is either brilliant or a little too ambitious. Eric and Andrea break down Season 5 Episode 7 with questions, theories, and at least one genuine concern. What You'll Hear• Why Eric thinks Sam is the "keeper of the pond" and what that might mean for Del's future with him, including the moment Del says "I love you" while concussed and who she was actually talking to• The "Some Like It Hot" Easter egg: how Spats, Al Capone, and the St. Valentine's Day Massacre connect directly to Nick's time travel story in the 1920s• Casey calling Alice selfish and why that mirrors exactly what fans have been saying about Kat for seasons• Elliot making a deliberate choice not to jump into the pond, and the "Big Fish" arrest photo that raises a huge question about where his arc is going• Fern and Cliff's steamy 1920s kiss, the key hidden in the piano, and what it all might mean with only three episodes left• The honest take on the Al Capone/Tessa direction: did The Way Home bite off more than it can chew?Chapters0:00 - Welcome + Where We Are in Season 54:15 - Casey, Sam, and the Keeper of the Pond8:30 - The "Some Like It Hot" Easter Egg You Missed13:00 - Tessa Calls Everyone Out (And She's Right)16:45 - Elliot's Big Fish Twist + The Al Capone Problem20:30 - The Key in the Piano, 11:11, and Final Theories23:23 - See You for Haunted HarmonyDid you clock the "Some Like It Hot" connection before Eric brought it up, or did that one slip past you? Sunday Service, May 31st 2 Samuel 13:23 - 14:33 Lead Pastor Tim Davis @ Christ The King Church. A non-denominational Christian Church located in Canby, OR. (www.ctkcanby.com)
A police officer spotted this little guy standing on a busy street corner in this huge city, crying. Of course, he tried to help the boy by asking him his address, and Scotty didn't know. The officer asked him his phone number, and he just said through his tears, "I can't remember." The officer was running out of options. He was just about to take that little guy down to the station when he thought of one last question: "Little boy, is there anything near your house that I might recognize?" That was the moment the little guy discovered the one thing that really helped him finally get home. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "Finding Your Way Home." There was one landmark that lost boy was able to identify for the policeman. He said, "Mister, next to my house there's this big church, and it's got a big cross on the top. And if you can get me to that cross, I can find my way home." So can you - home to the love that you've been looking for your whole life; home to the only relationship that will finally fill that hole in your heart. And, one day, home to the heaven we all want to go to but that none of us deserves. Finding your way home means first "getting to the cross." Not long ago, a friend of mine met a 30-something man on a plane who had left the church of his childhood years to embark on a search for spiritual reality. Along the way, there were a lot of religions, many spiritualities, no satisfaction. Then, he said, "One day I stepped back into the church I'd grown up in. I was the only one there. Up in front, I saw the cross that I'd looked at so many times as a kid. But suddenly something hit me that I had missed all those years. I found myself saying, "For me. That cross was for me." And that's where his long search ended. That's where the spiritual search of millions has ended. Looking at that cross, seeing what Jesus did there, and suddenly saying those two words that change everything, "for me." Our word for today from the Word of God, Galatians 2:20, puts it this way: "Christ loved me and gave Himself for me." For many people in recent times, Mel Gibson's portrayal of Jesus' death in his movie, "The Passion of the Christ," revealed the enormity of the suffering and the sacrifice that Jesus went through. And one can understandably ask, "What made such a bloody, horrific death necessary?" Answer, my sin - and your sin. Because sin isn't just breaking some religion's rule. Na, no, no. It's declaring ourselves "God" of our own life; taking a life God made and doing with it what we want. That sin carries the death penalty of an unbearable hell - an eternal separation from God. And that's what Jesus was carrying for you in His body and His soul as He agonized on that cross. And three days later, He walked out of His grave under His own power. Which means you can have, not a religion about Him, but a relationship with Him. If you will make personal what He did on that cross by telling Him, "Jesus, I believe that when You died, You were dying for me. I'm putting my total trust in you to be my personal rescuer from my personal sin. Beginning right here; beginning right now, I am Yours." If you're ready to trade your emptiness for His peace, and your hell for His heaven, make sure that this is the day you say "Jesus, I'm Yours," Don't put this off another day. No other day is guaranteed, but today. To support you in this I want to invite you to our website where many people have gone and confirmed their own relationship with Jesus Christ. That website is ANewStory.com. Go there as soon as you can today, please. The search of a lifetime ends at the foot of an old rugged cross. And if you can get to the cross my friend, you can finally find your way home.
Ryan joins us this week to head back to the pond for another episode of The Way Home. ABOUT: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 6) Elliot becomes engrossed with uncovering more of his mother's secret history and recruits Kat's help, while Jacob reacclimatizes to life in Port Haven. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 6) May 24, 2026 | Hallmark Channel CAST & CREW OF: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 6) Chyler Leigh as Kat Landry Evan Williams as Elliot Augustine Sadie Laflamme as Alice Dhawan Andie MacDowell as Del Landry BRAN'S THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 6) SYNOPSIS Jacob is back out on horseback, just like the good old days. He goes to see his friend Danny and is like, “Sorry I was gone for a while, but I'm here now and ready to help.” Meanwhile, Elliot is going full conspiracy mode, reading every article he can find. Kat keeps trying to get ahold of him to see if he's coming to dinner, but he's too busy printing copies of important archives. He eventually shows up, completely zonked, and leaves pretty quickly. Things are still awkward between Jacob and Del, and Kat encourages him to talk to her. Then Jacob randomly brings up those threatening letters that I had completely forgotten about. Kat talks with Del about her loss back in 1979, and they have a really sweet heart-to-heart. Later, Del goes outside to talk to her horse…and the horse starts acting weird. Makes you wonder. Jacob meets Max, but the conversation gets cut short when he sees the mysterious girl from the bar walking past the window. He follows her to the park, where she introduces herself as Abby. Turns out both of their families are from the area. They head back together, and that's when Jacob realizes Abby is Max's sister. She finds out he's Jacob Landry, and when he learns she's Abby Goodwin, she's basically like, “Okay…I'm outta here.” Kat goes to check on Elliot, and he suddenly kisses her BIG TIME. She also spots the copied archives, but Elliot gets weird and makes up excuses about why he has them. He suspects his mom may have been a fortune teller back in the 1920s, and Kat remembers hearing stories about one. They find a flyer advertising an upcoming fortune-telling event that hasn't happened yet, so naturally they decide they're jumping back together. Max surprises Alice with a plaque on “their table,” but yeah, they're totally just friends. Del tries talking to the horse again, but this time it charges at her. Jacob offers to help, but Del snaps that she'll just get attached and then he'll leave again. Starting to think she's not really talking about the horse anymore. Kat and Elliot make it to the carnival in the past. The pond is ponding. Alice runs into KC again. She's like, “Why are you here?” KC responds, “I don't know. Pond be ponding.” Alice immediately asks, “Am I your mom? Do I marry Max?” KC refuses to answer directly but says, “Good questions. Follow your gut and you'll have no regrets.” Kat and Elliot search through carnival tents looking for Elliot's mom. Kat spots the Auggie boys and Elliot follows them while Kat chases after someone she thinks might be Tessa. Naturally, they lose each other. The Auggie boys end up capturing Elliot. Luckily, Elliot manages to beat them up himself, but then Cliff shows up and arrests the boys. Kat and Elliot reunite and run into Fern, who urgently tells them to leave. Then they discover Cliff let the Auggie boys go free because, apparently, money talks. Back in the present, Del keeps working with the horse, and it finally starts trusting her again while Jacob watches from a distance. Kat and Elliot finally locate the fortune teller's tent. A huge crowd gathers, including basically everyone they know from the 1920s storyline. The fortune teller walks onstage and…I still honestly don't know if it's Elliot's mom. She calls Kat onstage and reads her palm, telling her she's a time traveler and that she's there to rescue her. Then “Tessa” asks Kat to meet her backstage. But before they can actually talk, the Auggie boys kidnap her. Kat realizes they're probably taking her to the shipping docks. Jacob also runs into KC, who refuses to explain much about who they really are besides saying their name is “just a name.” Then Abby shows up, and Jacob is basically like, “I think fate brought us together.” Kat and Elliot track the Auggie boys to the docks and see them loading Tessa onto a ship while saying, “Capone is gonna love this.” Alice tells Max she doesn't want to leave, and he completely freaks out on her. Jacob finally tells Del that he's staying. And then, at the very end, Kat rushes in to stop the Auggie boys…only to discover that Tessa is actually the ringleader. Elliot runs up yelling, “Mom!” and Tessa immediately makes sure he gets knocked out. Watch the show on Youtube - www.deckthehallmark.com/youtubeInterested in advertising on the show? We would love to hear from you. Send us your thoughts or suggestions. The Way Home just handed us our wildest theory of the season, and we are not letting it go. Jacob and Abby might be Casey's parents, Tessa just revealed she's running the whole smuggling operation, and Kat has once again made everything measurably worse for everyone around her.In this episode, Andrea and I break down The Way Home Season 3 Episode 6, and the theories we walk away with are bigger than anything we've had so far. Here's what we get into:• The Jacob-is-Casey's-dad theory: why the season two clues were staring at us the whole time, and what Casey saying “I don't know anything about the Goodwins” actually means• Tessa as the ringleader of the smuggling ring at the Cove, and why Andrea saw it coming while Eric did not• Kat's pattern across three seasons of steamrolling into situations and making everything worse, including her dad• Andrea's season two rewatch discovery: the psychic who kept calling Del and Colton, and whether there's a real connection to Tessa• Del's horse, Stormy, and why three seasons of screen time has to mean something• Alice skipping New York, Max's harsh take on small-town life, and why the show might be setting her up to repeat her mom's story• Elliot's reaction to seeing Tessa on stage, and why it felt off for a guy who's already met her before• What we still need answered before this season wraps, and our honest concerns about whether 12 episodes is enoughChapters:0:00 – Welcome and episode setup4:30 – The 1920s carnival, Del's horse, and the Stormy thread9:00 – The wildest theory yet: is Jacob Casey's father?13:00 – Kat makes everything worse (again), and why Fern and Thomas are the only ones who call her on it18:00 – The Tessa plot twist and Elliot's reaction problem22:00 – Alice stays home: the wrong call, or something bigger?25:30 – What we need from the final episodes, and why Hallmark canceling this show still stingsDo you think Jacob is Casey's dad? Listen along as we continue our time in 1 Peter. Notes//Quotes: Faith: 1 Peter 3:1-7 Title: The Way Home “Submission is not something being taken from me, but is something I'm choosing to give. The truth that Jesus, being fully God, willingly entered into this world, becoming fully man and submitting His will to God the Father and giving His life to justify us as well as the Spirit's role of illuminating and pointing people to Jesus is proof that the differing roles God has for men/women and husbands/wives is not about value or worth. Submission actively happens in the Trinity. If Jesus submitted even unto death, how can I stand on my “rights” and ultimately demand to always be the one in authority?” - Kathy Keller “Renounce yourself, take up your Cross and follow Me. To recognize one's own nonentity and discover the secret of the Kingdom is not enough: the King of Love must be enthroned in our mind and heart, take undivided possession of our will and make of our very bodies the Temples of the Holy Ghost. This small particle of the Cosmos, which is our soul and body must be conquered, freed by a lifelong struggle from enslavement to the world and to the devil, freed as if it were an occupied country and restored to its legitimate King.” - Anthony of Sourozh, Sayings of the Desert Fathers
Ryan joins us this week to head back to the pond for another episode of The Way Home. ABOUT: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 5) When Nick joins Kat on her search for more information about Elliot's mother in the 1920s, the two realize they may be in over their heads. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 5) May 17, 2026 | Hallmark Channel CAST & CREW OF: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 5) Chyler Leigh as Kat Landry Evan Williams as Elliot Augustine Sadie Laflamme as Alice Dhawan Andie MacDowell as Del Landry BRAN'S THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 5) SYNOPSIS Kat and Nick come out of the water and Nick is loving life. Alice sees Del's horse running wild and is like, “Oh no, where's Grandma?!” We see Del hear Colton's voice. He asks her to take his hand and she says, “I wish I could.” He tells her to just try. They walk back to the house together, but Alice can't see Colton. HE'S A GHOST! Kat and Nick pop up in the 1920s. Alice is checking on Del when Sam shows up. Alice didn't know who else to call. Suddenly, there's another knock at the door. It's Julian with wine. Del is like, “How about you pour me a glass and I'll tell you what's going on?” Alice is trying to snag the almanac when Cliff comes in and is like, “…What are you doing in my house?” Del tells the fellas to scram so she can talk to ghost Colton. She's like, “You're not real.” He responds, “Feels pretty real to me.” Kat tells Nick to keep the Auggie boys occupied while she goes looking for Fern. She goes to the paper and doesn't find Fern, but she does find a copy of Alice in Wonderland, inscribed “To Fern, from Auntie Coop.” Could it be Fern Cooper? Grayson is there, though, and thinks they should get to know each other more since it seems like Fern trusts her. He tells her about Auntie Coop — she's not actually family, just very close to Fern, even though she travels a lot. Kat goes to leave but overhears Grayson on the phone yelling, “GET RID OF HER!” Alice and Elliot jump in the pond and end up in the '70s, where Elliot lays eyes on his mom. They follow her back and see Colton devastated because they lost the baby. They overhear Elliot's mom saying she's finally ready to be a mom. Julian comes over to ask Del out now that things are off between her and Sam. Del ends up going to check on her horse and talk more with Colton. She runs after him into the cornfield, where she faints. Alice goes out to find her and realizes she has a concussion. Elliot sees his mom tuck a couple of Evelyn's tarot cards into her dress before heading inside. Then his dad shows up, and Elliot overhears him talking about how much he hopes he can be a father someday. Kat and Nick go to the hideout the Auggie boys told Nick about. They overhear that Grayson sent Fern away and that Coop better not show herself around there again. Alice goes to check on Del and sees how heartbroken she is without Jacob, so she tries calling him. Kat and Nick run when the Auggie boys spot them. As they head toward the pond, they finally come across Fern. Kat confronts her about Auntie Coop, and Fern is like, “It's finally happened. You asked the right questions. She told me this day would come.” They ask what happened to Coop, but before she can explain much, the Auggie boys show up again. They make a run for the pond, and for a second it looks like Nick is going to get stuck in the '20s — but he barely makes it back. Alice checks on Del again, but she won't wake up. Suddenly, Jacob shows up, and Del finally wakes when she realizes he's calling to her while dream-Colton tells her she has to go. Kat arrives home, and they all celebrate being back together as a family. But Elliot secretly takes Kat's keys on the way out so he can break into the archives and try to uncover more answers about where his mom might be. We are half-way through the final season of this original Hallmark series and the clues keep on coming. Kat takes Nick back to the 1920's in search of Tessa while Alice and Elliot find themselves in 1979 at the Landry farm for some heartbreaking news. Eric calls this his favorite episode of the season so far, while Andrea is still only halfway into the pond. Nick time travels to the 1920s, someone wants Kat dead, and the tarot cards Tessa steals might actually mean something. What you'll hear:• Why Nick singing with the Augustine brothers at the speakeasy might be the best Nick moment of the entire series• Eric's take on why Kat and Elliott's relationship feels more like siblings or toxic friends than romantic partners• The tarot card breakdown: Knight of Cups and the Empress, and what they could actually mean for Tessa's future• Del's concussion visions of Colton, and whether she and Jacob were both running parallel delusions• Andrea's standout scene: Evelyn showing real compassion when Colton tells her about the miscarriage• The drowning scene cliffhanger: Kat was the target the Augustine brothers were told to "get rid of" — but by who?• Grayson Goodwin: good guy or bad guy? Ryan joins us this week to head back to the pond for another episode of The Way Home. ABOUT: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 4) When Nick arrives back in Port Haven, Del throws a party like old times. Alice has to keep her distance from Young Colton and Del, but tries to learn more. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 4) May 10, 2026 | Hallmark Channel CAST & CREW OF: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 4) Chyler Leigh as Kat Landry Evan Williams as Elliot Augustine Sadie Laflamme as Alice Dhawan Andie MacDowell as Del Landry BRAN'S THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 4) SYNOPSIS Jacob is busy working at a bar as a bartender. This guy and gal come in to order an espresso martini. Jacob is like we don't do that, we're old school. After they leave, the ghost of Thomas asks him how long he's going to hide for. Alice and Elliot are talking about how Kat is still not home. He catches her up to speed about how his mom did come back at least long enough to write a letter. Just then, Nick comes in! What up old Nick! He's moving back to Port Haven! Him and Claire are moving home. Sam asks Del if she's considered his offer to move in. She says I'm not ready. I want to put that idea on pause. She seems shocked by how cool he is with that. Kat is still behind bars. Cliff shows up and is like alright, spill. Who are you? No ID, no nothing. She doesn't have time to spill before Fern shows up. Nick tells Del that he wants to buy Colton's boat and isn't gonna give up without a fight! Nick's biological father Julian shows up and he takes quite the liking to Del. Do I smell a season 4 love triangle?! Kat questions Fern about Tainted Love again and Fern insists that she's known that song for ages and still doesn't know no Tessa. She also tells Kat that she's the one who drugged her. It was the only way to protect her from the Augustine boys. For some reason, they have it out for her. Kat says well you know they're working for your fiancé Grayson. Fern doesn't believe that. Kat jumps in the pond, both of them upset with each other. Kat gets home and while talking with Elliot and Alice while looking at the bullet. She notices some engraving on it that match engravings on Grayson's gun. She is more convinced than ever that Grayson is a bootlegger. Alice and Kat are talking with Del and she's telling them how she and Colton used to throw the best parties before Alice was born. Del is like maybe we should throw a good ol' party, in honor of Nick's homecoming. Del then gets a knock on the door - there is a flower delivery...from Julian. Kat continues to try to contact Jacob but he still won't answer. So she gets back to looking at Evelyn's old files. She wants to learn more about who Grayson really is, not just what the town's history books say. Alice jumped back in the pond and sees Tessa and Vic showing up for one of Del & Colton's parties. She hears them talk about how they're getting married. Tessa sees Alice looking on from behind a tree. Alice asks her to not tell anyone that she was there or else she'll tell everyone about how she took money from Coyle's that one day. Kat finds a marriage certificate of Grayson's to someone in 1926, but it's not Fern. She also finds out that Grayson had a sister who died young. Alice can't stop herself from sneaking into the house to watch the party. Evelyn gives Del some wine but she doesn't drink it, so she suspects Del must be pregnant. In the present, it's party time! Sam finds out that Julian sent flowers and is like oh hmmm that's interesting. Back in the '80s, Fern comes in and sees Tessa looking at the family almanac and freaks out. She's like YOU'LL NEVER BE FAMILY! Colton is like she's marrying an Augustine. Fern storms off. Everyone is like wtf was that about. In the present, Kat announces to the party that she's closing down the newspaper. She is going to focus on writing a history of Port Haven. Then Julian recites some Shakespeare. Alice walks outside and tries to talk to Fern who is still freaking out. Del comes out and tells her to go to bed and then throws her wine out. Alice overhears Colton come out and ask how they're BOTH doing! They talk about waiting to tell people since it had been such a journey but Colton is convinced 1979 is their year. Alice is like uh oh...knowing that Kat wasn't born in '79. Alice runs back home and gives present day Del a big hug. There's a phone call. It's Jacob, but when she hears singing and laughing in the background, he hangs up. He tells the ghost of Thomas that they're happy, they don't need him. Later that night, Alice tells Kat about how Del was pregnant in 1979. This is news to Alice. The next day, Del and Sam talk. She tells him that he seems too chill with Julian's attention towards her. Makes her feel like he doesn't care about her. She wonders if their relationship is just a distraction from the Jacob situation. When he says if that's what she wants, she's like see you don't fight for us. He says he doesn't want to have to wonder what's going on with her. He doesn't want mystery, he wants her. Elliot surprises Jacob and asks him what's up and asks him to come home and tells him that he's being dumb. He tells Elliot to leave. Alice tells Kat more about the Fern freaking out thing and she figures out that the handwriting for 1800's Jacob's entry is the same handwriting as Tessa's letter to Elliot. AND it's the same for Fern's birth entry. The hypothesis is that Tessa time traveled back to the 1800's with Griff but he left her there which is why she was there in the '20s. They need someone from Tessa's era to come and rescue her. So Kat decides to jump again and decides to bring Nick with her to make sure she's safe. The episode ends with her on horseback. She thinks she sees Colton walking into the woods, so she tries to get her horse to follow. But the horse is freaking out heading into the woods and bucks her off and she's knocked out. https://wels2.blob.core.windows.net/daily-devotions/20260508dev.mp3 Listen to Devotion Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 The Way Home The apostle Thomas once asked a question that everyone wants to know the answer to: “How do we know the way?” How do we know the way to God, to heaven, to happiness? Jesus did not hand Thomas directions. He handed him, and all of us, himself. He said, “I am the way and the truth and the life.” He is not one option among many. He is the way. That means the path to God does not begin with us. That hurts our pride. We would rather build something of our own. We want the work, recognition, and control. But if the way did depend on us, questions would always remain: Did I do enough? Did I miss something? Did I fail? Thankfully, Jesus removes those questions. He did not stand at the end of the road and point. He marched the way for us. He lived the life we could not live. He died the death we deserved. He rose to life and opened the way to the Father. Then he declares, “No one comes to the Father except through me.” Jesus is not trying to discourage you. He is giving you certainty. In Christ, you have access to God. Stop searching. Stop striving. Stop relying on your strength. The world is full of confusing voices and competing truths. But Jesus gives us clarity: There is a way to God—his name is Jesus. Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for opening the way to the Father. Keep me firmly in you and lead me safely to the eternal home you are preparing. Amen. Daily Devotions is brought to you by WELS. ABOUT: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 3) Kat and Elliot plan a romantic getaway, while Alice tries to gather more clues; Del and Sam get a surprise visit from Elliot's father, Vic. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 3) May 3, 2026 | Hallmark Channel CAST & CREW OF: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 3) Chyler Leigh as Kat Landry Evan Williams as Elliot Augustine Sadie Laflamme as Alice Dhawan Andie MacDowell as Del Landry BRAN'S THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 3) SYNOPSIS In the '70s Colton goes to confront Grif. He sees Alice and is like oh you must be Del. He corrects him and then Alice goes to jump back to the present. In the present, Del is telling Elliot that she can't help but wonder if Griffin took Tessa into the pond. She suspected that they had a thing. Elliot is like you kept this from me. You know what secrets have done to this family. He storms off. Alice hears all of this and decides to jump again to see if she can find out more. But she shows up 2 years later. Evelyn's had her kid and he's already 2 years old. And Griffin has been gone for 2 years too. So a wasted trip. Kat sees that bullet on Alice's nightstand and she tells her where she found it. Kat is like hmmmm interesting. Del and Sam are riding horses. Sam is like I wonder if you should move in with me. He also tells her that he knows about the pond when her horse seems to get nervous when they get close to it. Alice is hanging out with boyfriend Noah and best friend Max. Noah says he's thinking about opening a restaurant in the big city. Max is not supportive. But Alice tells him if it feels right, go for it. They can just start long distance early. When Max and Alice go to leave, Max tells her that it's probably not going to work with them going long distance. She's like what do you know about love? Elliot surprises Kat with a last minute getaway to a cabin in the woods. Elliot's dad shows up looking for him but he's nowhere to be found. So he goes to question Del. He tells Del that Elliot has been calling, asking about his mother. Del says I told him the truth - Tessa left both of you because she fell in love with Colton's brother. When they get to the cabin, we see that Elliot has brought the engagement ring. Is it finally time?! Alice goes back in time to talk to Evelyn and check on her baby. Evelyn is excited to finally see her but questions why she bailed before the baby was born. While they're talking, guess who walks up to take her order... it's TESSA!!! While out on a hike, Elliot gets ready to propose. He does that by telling her that he's always wondered if they should have kids of their own. Before they can dive into that, they get service and find out that Elliot's dad is back in town. Elliot's dad joins Del & Sam for dinner to hash things out some more. Alice watches as Victor Augustine (Elliot's dad) asks Tessa out on a date. And then she watches as Tessa steals money and looks at Alice and puts her finger to her mouth...don't you tell! Elliot gets back and sees the happy go lucky dinner. He's like oh I don't wanna interrupt this happy reunion. Kat goes to talk to him, tell him that she's open to continuing that conversation about kids but he needs to work things out with his dad. While looking at the picture of Tessa, she recognizes the bracelet she's wearing. Turns out, it's the same bracelet that Fern is wearing in that reel. Elliot asks his dad how he can be so sure that his mom died if he never saw her again. He gives him a letter he received, saying she's dying, that included the ring. Fern takes Kat to a speakeasy where she performs and then Kat overhears the big bad Augustines talking about getting rid of her. Kat is then shocked to hear her singing Tainted Love. She goes to confront her about singing a song from the future when she starts feeling funky. She collapses as Cliff comes down there to break up the party. Fern says oh Kitty Kat what are we gonna do with you? Elliot and his dad make up as the clock chimes at 11:11, like always. He says that his mom always used to say make a wish at 11:11. The episode ends with Kat waking up in a jail cell. Watch the show on Youtube - www.deckthehallmark.com/youtubeInterested in advertising on the show? Ryan joins us this week to head back to the pond for another episode of The Way Home. ABOUT: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 2) Alice is about to graduate high school; Kat and Elliot dream of the next steps for their relationship; Del realizes she will soon be an empty-nester again. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 2) April 26, 2026 | Hallmark Channel CAST & CREW OF: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 2) Chyler Leigh as Kat Landry Evan Williams as Elliot Augustine Sadie Laflamme as Alice Dhawan Andie MacDowell as Del Landry BRAN'S THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 2) SYNOPSIS Elliot is all sad that the pond didn't take him. Del is helping him talk through it. We see a flashback of teenage Elliot leaving the house and Del and Colton telling him he's always welcome to stay. After he walks out, Del is like we never should've let him leave. It's not what Tessa would've wanted. Colton says we just need to keep loving him. That's our promise. Kat comes out of the pond in 1925. Fern says I guess I shouldn't know when you're from but I can ask why. Kat says she's looking for Tessa Augustine. She says I do know some Augustines but no Tessa. She asks Kat her name and Fern says I will call you Kitty Kat. Fern has the same conversation with Alice in 1976. Fern says she hasn't seen anyone matching that description from Tessa. She takes Alice to the house and Alice is like...why am I here? Fern is like I have no idea but it's time for my nap. In the '20s, Fern says she's never time traveled. She has no interest in heading back in time. She's a modern girl. She only cares about the future. In fact, this is the first time she's come across a time traveler. Alice is walking down the street and Evelyn drives by, so excited to see Kat again! Fern and Kat also walk down the street and Fern gets a couple of Augustine boys to stop the car to pick them up. She asks about a Tessa and they're both like I have no idea who you're talking about. Alice gets to Coyle's and Jasper gives her a welcome back milkshake. She asks if he knows a Tessa. He's like sure don't. Back in the present, Elliot is looking at the picture of him and his mom. The clock suddenly starts playing a song when Del shows up to check on him. She asks him to come with her. Alice is looking at this song book of songs from the area and asks about this one from 1926. She picks up her guitar and starts to play the song. Fern brings Kat to the newspaper where she's living and invites Kat to this get together in the evening. Maybe Tessa will be there. Del has Elliot fix something in the barn and he tells her about how he got his 5 more minutes with Colton right here in the barn. It means a lot to him. Del asks if Elliot and Kat are still going to get married. Back in the '20s, Fern & Kat are getting changed for the party when Dan Jerrott walks in. His name is Cliff and he's like oh I'm just looking for the editor. He and Fern have some flirty flirty fun time. They head to the party at the Lingermore estate, a place where prohibition doesn't exist. Grayson is pulling all the strings and even has Phantom of the Opera playing at the party. Colton shows up in the '70s and is excited to see Alice! Evelyn takes them to see her husband Ash. Grayson tells the party that he's going to film a movie right there in Port Haven and Fern will be his star in his movie, Cassandra in the Lighthouse. She introduces Grayson to Kat. Ash is waxing poetic about poetry and Evelyn is hanging on every word. He's a big traveler and doesn't understand why anyone would want to stay in Port Haven. He and Colton get in a bit of an argument. Evelyn is like ok enough of that, let's go explore the tunnels. While Fern is singing a song, Kat sees Grayson talking with the Augustine boys and they hand Grayson a wad of cash that he puts in his pocket. THEN he comes down and proposes to Fern! She says yes! The gang is in the tunnels. While down there they find a pair of old glasses and Alice finds a bullet shell. Kat warns Fern that Grayson might not be on the up and up because the Augustine brothers paid him for something. Fern is like I'm sure it's nothing. Elliot and Del are at the bar and we find out that Jacob got a job at a bar in Toronto. This causes Del to drink a lot. In the '20s, the prohibition officers show up. They ditch their drinks and run! Colton can't handle this Ash guy and goes to leave. Evelyn is hurt by this and runs into the study. Alice goes to check on her and she tells Alice that she's pregnant. On the walk back home from the party, Cliff stops them. He's the fuzz and says that he should fine them for the alcohol. Fern is like Kat doesn't have any money because she's a time traveler. He just laughs and says that's a new one. Alice finds Colton and sings him a song that she's been working on. Colton is like the song was nice but it wasn't from your heart. Alice says she is afraid to bare her soul in a song. Kat and Fern end up back at the pond. Fern says I think the pond brought you here to give you a heck of a good time. She asks Fern to keep her ear to the ground on a Tessa Augustine, or maybe her maiden name Tessa Cooper. She comes back and tells Del about her time with Fern. Del says none of that matches what I know about Fern. The stuff she had told Del is straight out of the movie she was gonna be in. The episode ends with Del showing Elliot a picture she has that is ripped that includes his mom saying she made a pact with Tessa but some pacts had a shelf life. Then Alice and Colton finishing their hang out sesh when a motorbike drives by fast. So they follow it and he's like that's my brother, Griffin. Ryan joins us this week to head back to the pond for another episode of The Way Home. ABOUT: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 1) Alice is about to graduate high school; Kat and Elliot dream of the next steps for their relationship; Del realizes she will soon be an empty-nester again. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 1) April 19, 2026 | Hallmark Channel CAST & CREW OF: THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 1) Chyler Leigh as Kat Landry Evan Williams as Elliot Augustine Sadie Laflamme as Alice Dhawan Andie MacDowell as Del Landry BRAN'S THE WAY HOME (SEASON 4 EPISODE 1) SYNOPSIS We start in "the future". Someone has their hand in the pond...It's Kat. In fact, they're all there. Kat, Alice, Del. They say they gotta go see the "I do". Cut back to the present, and Kat, Elliot, and Alice all jump in the pond together to try to find his mom while Sam watches from behind a tree. They get out of the water and they see baby Elliot there in a crib with the letter his mom wrote. They suspect that she jumped in the pond but she would've needed a Landry in order to time travel. Meanwhile, Jacob is missing. Apparently he's at the bus stop, so she rushes to stop him from leaving. So they bring the basket with Elliot and put him on the porch of a young Del and Colton, but they don't seem surprised. Adult Elliot is like why aren't they surprised by this? Del stops the bus and Jacob is like I need to go. I need to see if I can make a life here on my own. She says fine, I'm not gonna fight to keep you if you don't want to be kept. 7 months later - Alice is in a field playing a guitar. Kat finds her and is like it's time to go! She graduates in 2 days! Elliot is talking to Del and updates her on planning the perfect proposal for Kat. But Del is busy digging random holes. She's looking for...something. One night, Elliot wakes up from a crazy dream. He goes downstairs to grab that clock and the clock suddenly starts making music. Del finds what she's looking for. It's a tin bucket full of trinkets. She's interrupted from going through it by a package from Jacob. It's for Alice. He's in Toronto and he's sent a couple of books for her. They're disappointed there's no info about what he's doing there. They all go to a graduation party together and Alice sings the song she and her grandpa sang together back in the day. The next day, it's graduation day. They throw a little family party. Del shares a letter she found in the bucket and realized that she probably made Kat mad by not reading it to her when she graduated. Later, Del hears Tainted Love and it causes the audio of a memory to come rushing back and it doesn't sound great. Alice goes to hang out with Max Goodwin who is apparently her best friend. They get into a little argument and she goes to grab her stuff and she sees his dad watching some old reels from the '20s. She goes in and he leaves and she sees Fern Landry dancing when suddenly she sees her mom come into the shot and pull her away. WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?! So she steals the reel and brings it back to show Kat and Elliot. It becomes clear that Kat is going to be going back to 1925 and this reminds her of something old Fern said... 65 in 25. 25 could be 1925. 65 could be the age of Elliot's mom. Alice goes to dig a hole to put her own box in the ground but finds a suitcase underground. It belongs to Tessa, Elliot's mom. So Kat and Elliot decide to jump but the pond doesn't take Elliot. So Alice jumps in after her. When she comes out, she sees old Fern. But when Kat gets out, she sees young Fern. UH OH!
