As Christian mothers, it's vital that we carefully consider how we communicate with our children and the language we use. Our words hold immense power; they can either uplift our children or tear them down. We should raise our children to embrace a deep love for God and Jesus, guiding them to live by biblical standards rather than conforming to worldly norms. Discipline is necessary, but it must never be driven by anger or frustration. Instead, let's prioritize entering into God's presence, allowing ourselves to find peace. From there, we can seek guidance from the Holy Spirit to discipline our children in alignment with God's Word. Our actions and words towards our children will shape the values of future generations, including our grandchildren. It's crucial to instill biblical principles in our children, steering them away from inheriting our traumas and generational burdens. If we don't address and heal from our own struggles, they risk being passed down. Thus, breaking negative cycles and pursuing healing is essential to leave a positive legacy for generations to come. What do you do when the vision God showed you is not what it appears to be? As Mothers, the way we raise our children will impact the world. God has given us what we need to be good mothers to our children. We are obligated to speak the truth to our children about us, life, and the world we live in. In this episode we talked about surrendered heart, what are the areas in our heart we haven't surrendered to God yet? We have the power through Holy Spirit to set the tone for our day. Our words have the power to create and bring to pass all that God has for us. So we packed up our belongings said goodbye to our family and left what we thought was comfort in Massachusetts to uncomfortable in Oklahoma. When God gives us instructions to do something, He expects us to have instant obedience and not delayed obedience. Delayed obedience is disobedience; God is all about timing; when He gives us instructions, He wants us to follow them instantly. Our delayed obedience delays God's plans, our provisions, and our blessings, along with other people who were part of God's plans. When we abide, remain, and linger in the Lord. What that looks like is we are reading the word and allowing the word to read us. We are dissecting the scripture looking up the meaning of certain words, and meditating on it for as long as we need to until it makes sense to us and resonates with us in our current situation. Abiding is also putting on worship music or singing our hearts out to the Lord, or we are praying consistently, whether that's out loud or in a prayer journal. When God tells us to abide or linger in Him, He is calling us to spend time with Him. Because He knows how hard this faith walk can be especially when we are facing the daily storms of life. His word is what fuels us with faith, hope, and perseverance to keep going. Just like the Gardner that goes out every late winter to prune her fruit tree branches that are dead and damaged and potentially have some diseased areas, God does the same with us. Every season of our life we go through, there's a branch that God is pruning off of us. These branches could be relationships that are not spiritually healthy for us, childhood trauma we have not dealt with, past abuse or hurt we never spoke of, and or words people spoke to us that kept us bound in a state of mind that I'm not good enough. To help us continue to grow spiritually healthy so we can increase in our faith and increase in bearing good fruits; God comes in and prunes these branches out of us. In this devotional, we look at Rahab and her willing yielding heart to protect the two Israelite men sent by Joshua, to spy on her country (Jericho) to later invade. God may have used Rahab to save the two Israelite men, but is it possible Rahab gets saved spiritually?. In this episode, we discuss what Holy Living means to us. We wanted to do our best to clear up the misconception of living a Holy life. Many people believe living a Holy life means you have to be perfect all time, which is not the case because no one is perfect. Holy living is not about being perfect but about making an effort to live according to God's will; it's not about perfection but progression. The only way you can live a Holy Life is by having a personal relationship with the Lord; this happens when you spend intentional time with the Lord by reading his word.  When we have a loving, trusting, and personal relationship with God, it becomes easier to live a Holy life expressed through walking in obedience to God's Will. The only way God can make you whole is by surrendering everything that broke you to him and allowing him to take control of every area of your life so he can start something new in you make you whole by giving you a new mindset, a new heart, and new strength. If our faith is built on a solid foundation, built on Jesus then we will have a firm foundation in Christ. Without a firm foundation in Christ then things of this world will cause us to be unbalanced and waver in our faith. How do we sustain our faith? we do this by reading the word of God, worshipping, and praying.
