In this message from Matthew 15:29–16:4, Pastor Karl examines two very different groups of people who come to Jesus — and what their approach reveals about how we receive grace. The first group comes from the Decapolis, a Gentile region with no religious standing or covenant claim. They bring broken bodies, unspoken needs, and nothing to offer — and Jesus meets them with compassion, healing, and even provision they didn't know to ask for. The second group, the Pharisees and Sadducees, arrives with suspicion and a demand for proof — and Jesus refuses to perform for them. The contrast surfaces a powerful truth: Jesus has endless compassion for those who come to him needy, but no obligation to satisfy those who come feeling entitled. Unworthiness isn't a disqualification for grace — it's the prerequisite for it.Pastor Karl unpacks why the disciples hesitated to feed the 4,000 (it wasn't that they forgot what Jesus could do — it was that they questioned who he'd do it for), what it really means to "fall from grace," and why the cross is the only reliable lens through which to interpret God's love. When we bring our "not enough" to Jesus, we find that inadequacy is exactly the raw material he's looking for.Watch all our sermons on our youtube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 8:00am, 9:30am & 11:00am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm
We must bow to God's sovereign mercy. It is both great and mighty in our lives. Our perception of this mercy alters with where we are in our lives and experiencing our individual trials. What we often miss is the bigger picture, the expanse of what Our Lord's love gives to us. We must let go of our expectations and trust we belong to Him fully.

1 Peter 5:6–7 says, “Humble yourselves, then, under God's mighty hand, so that he will lift you up in his own good time. Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you.”These two short verses tell us several things: One, if we submit to God's power by acknowledging we can't solve our problems, He is strong enough to intervene and bring about the outcome we really want.Second, He does this in His own time, on His own timetable.Third, we are to leave our problems at His feet. There is nothing wrong with getting an image in your mind where you actually do this and then walk away, your burden lifted.Key in getting on track is recognizing that you might have trust problem. If you've been deeply hurt by, say, a family member, you might subconsciously be failing to trust God himself. And this is a first step in getting free of fear for good.Know that an unburdened mind is not usually gained quickly, or without what we would call maintenance. The only thing predictable about our world is that it's unpredictable. If you think you're going to have one great afternoon and then every day after that is carefree, you're deluding yourself. We've already established that a daily time of prayer, reading your Bible, and focusing on God's love for you is a combination that our enemy can't overcome. Choosing to believe God's Word is practical, and it works. That can't be emphasized enough!Jesus said in John 16:33 that we will absolutely have trouble in our lives, but that He has already overcome the world. This fact will help to keep you on that straight path that will ultimately one day lead to paradise with the One that created you, sustains you, and loves you forever.Let's pray.Lord, having the discipline to daily rely on you is something we often lack. When we focus and concentrate our minds and our hearts on your good gifts, fear leaves and can be replaced with courage and peace. Thank you for providing for all of our needs, all the time. In Jesus' name, amen. Change your shirt, and you can change the world! Save 15% Off your entire purchase of faith-based apparel + gifts at Kerusso.com with code KDD15.

We're nearing the end of a very practical study of James. We've all done it at some point. We jumped to conclusions about someone and later on down the road discover we had it all wrong. There's a way to save yourself that grief, and we'll learn what that is today. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29?v=20251111
We'll open our Bibles today to James chapter four. If you'll recall, last time we were talking about a war that is within. Well today we're going to learn what it takes to win. It starts with submission, and then resistance. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29?v=20251111
Romans 10:1-3 — Since the inception of the church, Christianity has battled the false belief of justification by works. In its modern Western form, many wrongly understand the gospel to mean going to church, doing good, or being a “nice” person. In this sermon on Romans 10:1–3 titled “Submit to God's Righteousness,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones proclaims that the current Christian culture continues to preach self-righteousness, self-reliance, and self-dependence. In its primitive form, the apostle Paul holds up the Pharisees as the prime example of those who are zealous for doing good works and yet are ignorant of what God's righteousness requires in the gospel. Their lack of knowledge has set them against the God they claim to serve. They would rather construct their own righteousness than submit to the righteousness of God found in the gospel of Christ. The Pharisees, and many today as well, are trapped in believing they can save themselves. The problem, says Dr. Lloyd-Jones, is that the last people to believe the gospel and be saved are always those who think that they can save themselves. What is needed is the gospel of grace. What needs to be known and heard is the truth of what the Scriptures say God's righteousness requires. Listen as Dr. Lloyd-Jones speaks of the tendency towards justification by works and the remedy, submitting to the gospel of grace. This is message 25 in The Names of God Series There Is None Like Thee, O Lord Jeremiah 10:1-25 The living God stands alone above every power, belief, and man-made system, and there is none like Him. He is the Creator who formed all things, the King who rules over the nations, and the Judge whose authority cannot be challenged. Every false hope collapses before Him, every idol is exposed as empty, and every life is measured by His truth. He alone hears, speaks, saves, and corrects, and the only right response is to trust Him, submit to Him, and worship Him as the one true and everlasting God. Most arguments are not just about what someone said. They are rooted in what we want.In this message from James 4, John Gunter explains how submission is a spiritual posture that prepares us for obedience, peace, and humility. When we fail to prepare our hearts, we react in pride, blame others, and miss the opportunity to reflect Christ. This message is a call to submit early so that we are not left scrambling when the pressure comes.Key Takeaways:Conflict is often the result of unmet desires and prideSubmission to God brings peace, clarity, and spiritual authorityYou cannot resist the enemy if you are not standing under the authority of God
If the Bible says it, we believe it. There is no other truth outside of God's Word. In this message, Pastor Matt reminds us that Scripture is not just a historical document — it's the living, breathing Word of God. It teaches, corrects, and trains us so we can live under God's authority and experience His blessing.Submitting to God's Word means living under it, not over it. It's trusting that God's way is best, even when culture disagrees. When we read it, pray it, and live it — our lives begin to align with His truth. The Bible is not just information — it's transformation. The Bible doesn't just make you better — it makes you new. When you live under God's Word, you live under His blessing. Are you ready to fully trust the Word of God as your ultimate authority?Connect with us!Missioncity.church

A – About: Jeremiah, falsely accused of defecting to Babylon, is beaten and imprisoned. When King Zedekiah questions him, Jeremiah boldly declares God's unchanging message: Babylon will prevail. Despite injustice, Jeremiah appeals for mercy and is providentially sustained in prison. B – Best Verse: Jeremiah 37:20 (NKJV) – "Therefore please hear now, O my lord the king, please let my petition be accepted before you, and do not make me return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there." C – Calling: We are called to submit humbly to God's will, even when it brings hardship. Faithfulness demands courage to speak truth, patience under injustice, and confidence that God's providence sustains His servants through trials.

On this episode of Uncommon Sense with Ginny Robinson, we confront the horrific attack at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. The shooter, Robert “Robin” Westman, once walked those same halls as a student. Years of unchecked mental illness and spiritual rebellion ended in bloodshed.America is in denial. We refuse to face the truth: the transgender movement is built on a Satanic lie. No one can change the sex God gave them. Pretending otherwise doesn't heal broken souls, it destroys them and puts others in danger.Christians must speak plainly. Love does not mean affirming sin or confusion. Love means pointing people back to Christ, who alone gives us our identity. Until our nation repents and turns back to God, tragedies like this will only increase.Pray for the victims and their families.--https://policecoffee.com/collections/coffee
A – About: This passage is about God commanding Judah and the surrounding nations to submit to the rule of Babylon, because He Himself had given Nebuchadnezzar authority. False prophets were spreading lies, but Jeremiah faithfully declared God's hard truth. B – Best Verse: "Therefore do not listen to your prophets…for they prophesy a lie to you" (Jeremiah 27:14, NKJV). C – Call to Action: We are called to trust God's Word even when it is hard, reject false teaching, and submit to His truth, knowing Christ's yoke is easy and His burden is light.
