The message for this Sunday is Part 3 of the series, “What We Have in Christ”, from Ephesians 1:11-14. The message is entitled, “The Believer’s Inheritance”. Proponents of the prosperity gospel tell us that we can have our best life now, but that is not what the Bible teaches. This is not our best life […]
This message is entitled, “The Effects of Our Redemption”, Part 2 of “What We Have In Christ”, from Ephesians 1:1-7. Jesus Christ went into the marketplace of sin and paid the price required to pay for our sins and set our souls free. What difference has it made? What kind of impact has it made? […]
This week’s message comes from Joshua 1:1-9 which says: After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant: “Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of […]
When God saved us, He gave us all spiritual blessings (Eph 1:3). We don’t have to earn our way to acceptance or approval from God – He loves us unconditionally. We are “in Christ” but we don’t always act like Christ. The challenge before us is to make our practice agree with our position.
We have discussed several aspects of the peacemaking process in the first three parts of this series. In the finale of this series, we will detail the process of resolving conflicts with others.
We manifest our relationship with God and with others by making peace with others and maintaining unity. Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” Resolving conflict and focusing on holiness in the Body is essential to a healthy Church.
For conflict between two people to be resolved, it must start with someone. God’s process is often not the way we think it should be done, but His way is always the right way.
Missionary Frank Saavedra’s sermon asks the following questions rooted in John 21:18-23: Do you truly believe the price of obedience, faithfulness, dedication is too costly? Do you truly believe the payoff is worth it? Do you truly believe that we can and perhaps should glorify God in death as well as in life? What factors […]
One of the great hindrances to growth in our churches today is unresolved conflict. Our responses to conflict often demonstrate we have surrendered much ground to the world in reacting with the same avoidance & manipulation and control. Jesus knew there would be conflict among us and told us how to deal with it!
The picture of marriage is an important image that God has given us, calling us to a higher understanding of who He is and how He relates to us. Marriage is much more than loving and raising a family. It is vital that we understand the meaning of this sacred covenant and fulfill God’s expectations […]
How important it is to remember we are stewards of God, our children are on loan from God and do not belong to us. Understanding this principle of ownership has everything to do with how we parent, and how we live our lives on every level.
It is not easy to be a parent, but our gracious God gives us such a pattern and is such a great model for us. The better we know Him, the better parents we can become.
This week’s message is “Parenting with Purpose”, from Psalm 127:1-5, and focuses on God’s vision of parenting our children in ways to accomplish God’s purpose, not ours, for their lives.
This week’s message is message #4 of our “Strengthening the Family” series, and is entitled, “Try A Little Kindness”. The text is Colossians 3:12. Kindness is such an important and essential ingredient to a successful marriage, so we will look at some of its benefits this Sunday.
The greatest risk you and I will take in our marriages, or any relationship, is to be honest with our mate. It is a risk because man’s oldest problem is the fear of rejection. Few live in total honesty, but the rewards are great.
Sunday’s message, the second in our series on “Strengthening the Family”, is entitled “God’s Power for Your Marriage”, from Ephesians 1:19-20. It is not easy when two different people leave their prior home/environment and join together in the sacred union of marriage. We bring two different personalities, different habits, beliefs and ways of doing things. […]
There are many wonderful women and mothers in the Bible. One of the greatest, who is also one of the great models of a great mother is Hannah, Samuel’s mother. Her godliness, prayer and commitment to the Lord had a great impact on not only Samuel, but her world. This message will be the catalyst […]
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. God clearly commands his people to gather frequently in his name. But why is […]
The message for Sunday is the final message in our series, “God’s Plan For Giving” and is entitled “How Little Becomes Much” from John 6:1-14. In this passage we have another example of how God’s plan of economy works as Jesus takes the five pieces of bread and two little fishes and feeds the multitude. […]
Last week we began a new series of messages on stewardship, “God’s Plan of Giving”, with a message entitled, “God’s Plan in a Word”. This week’s message is “How God’s Plan Works”, from 2 Kings 4:1-7. We will talk about how, in a world of unbelief, God shows us how He wants us to give […]
This week I will begin a brief new series, “God’s Plan of Giving”, a series on stewardship, the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Sunday’s message is entitled, “God’s Plan in a Word”, from Luke 6:38. The next message, “How God’s Plan Works” will follow on April 18th. The final message is entitled “How Little Becomes Much” […]
Our Easter message from 1 Samuel 22:1-3 speaks of failure and how to respond to it. Failure is only failure when we give up and quit. Failure is really an opportunity for God to show us His best work on our behalf. When Jesus died on the cross it appeared to all that His life […]
When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his garments and divided them into four parts, one part for each soldier; also his tunic. But the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom, so they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to see […]
Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, presenting Himself as King, accomplished many purposes. But it also teaches us how to apply some wonderful principles to the Mission He has given us.
As we begin to understand and practice proper worship, we can have a wonderful relationship with God.
This week, we will look at Psalm 90:2 and talk about God’s omniscience and His holiness. The most important subject we can ever discuss is God, and who He is. To know Him is the most vital pursuit in life.
We have talked about whether there is a God, and then who is this God. Last time we were together, I began to discuss some of the qualities of God, that He is unchangeable. This week we will talk about His omnipresence and omnipotence and what these qualities mean for us as we try to […]
In a culture polarized by competing worldviews, we can be tempted to run away from the world and run toward people who embrace similar political opinions or share the same cultural or economic backgrounds. But experience tells us that retreating into tribalism does not lead to unity — not in the church and not in […]
Part 2 of the series is entitled, “Who is God?”, from Psalm 90:1-2. Last week we talked about the reality of God. This week I will talk about the identity of God. The world identifies many gods that they worship. It is absolutely important for you to worship the right God — your future and […]
This is the first message in a brief series on The Nature of God. We live in a culture that is becoming more and more godless. The number of people who claim to be agnostic or atheistic is increasing, while the number of people who claim to attend church is decreasing. I know that two […]
Among other things, Jesus came to give hope for the hurting of the world. His pattern of ministry then is ours today!
1 John 2:6 says, “Whoever claims to live in Him must live as Jesus did.” This Sunday, Pastor Oleg Reutki of Moldova expounds on this verse looking at what it means to live on a mission, live for a mission, and live with a mission.
What kind of people change the world? God gave the disciples the commission to go and make disciples all over the world, changing one life at a time! We have been given that same commission and can be a part of Jesus’ mission to change the world! May we not squander our time here but […]
The mission that God has laid out for us is filled with surprises. In spite of the surprises, we must maintain a sense of urgency. As we consider Missions Month, we must remember that, like Jesus, we must not allow anything to keep us from accomplishing His mission.
Jonathan Reid from Fostering Hope speaks to us from Hebrews 13:16. The theme is bringing pleasure to God through the sacrifice of service to others.
As we open our 2021 at GracePoint with January Missions Month, we look to The Great Commission in Matthew 28:16-20 for guidance. This brief, simple and clear message to make disciples of all nations may seem like a challenge during Covid, but God will stretch our church to continue to support our local and global […]
As we wrap up the year of 2020 and look forward to the new year of 2021, the wise men teach us the importance and necessity of keeping our eye on the goal. What do you want to be for God in the next year? Five years? It is important to know where you are […]
Let’s celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus!
The birth of the humanity of God in the Person of Jesus Christ is an amazing story. The angels made an amazing announcement, Mary was given an amazing assignment and Mary, this young Jewish teenager, made an amazing acceptance. Everyone in the Christmas story took a risk and stepped out. God did the impossible through […]
Every one of us needs someone to believe in us, especially when times are difficult. When someone believes in you, when they support you and have confidence in you, great benefits are generated. They are a great encouragement, strength-giver and a provider of great security when we are supported by people like this. This was […]

Part 1, this Sunday, is from Luke 2:8-20 and has to do with the many opportunities surrounding us and how imperative it […]
This week’s message from Matthew 16:13-17 is on stewardship. It’s easier and more effective to be thankful during this season and time of year when we have a good understanding of who Jesus is. Because He is Lord He is worthy of our very best.

This week Pastor Dave will talk us through Nehemiah 1 and the significance and process of vision. We will explore some things that are absolutely vital to do as we go forward to accomplish God’s mission in the days and weeks to come.
Over the last several weeks we’ve explored the themes of Christian identity and unity during times of change and challenge. This week we’re focused on Jesus’ words on this topic from John 15:9-17. In life, we sometimes struggle with authentic friendships because we often expect too much and give too little. But Jesus shows us […]
This week we will take a look at Romans 14:1-12 and how Paul tells Christian brothers and sisters to deal with their differences in a God honoring way. We will also see that unity around the uncompromising truth of the Gospel is actually enhanced and strengthened by our unique individual characteristics, gifts and passions, if […]
