Harvest Community Church: Selah, WA
Welcome to Court — The Living God lovingly confronts his people with their sins. The people of Judah responded by proposing they just offer additional sacrifices. The Lawyer (Micah) tells the people what God wants, which is their obedience, their heart, and their love; rather than more religious acts. Give God your heart.
Many people view the future with fear and anxiety because of the uncertainty that surrounds it. Christians are to see the future differently because we know that our Eternal God and King has all things under his powerful authority. The Future is bright for the followers of Jesus.
Leadership Matters! Truth Matters! When leadership and truth don't matter to us, we can know that the consequences will be very real and painful. The Living God loves his people very deeply and he is not afraid to hold us to account when people are are mistreated or led away from him.
The Living God is a Provider. He does not take it lightly when people Covet and take from their “neighbor”. He will bring his perfect discipline to deal with those who mistreat and abuse others for their own selfish gain. His discipline may feel harsh but he loves to bring Hope to the hopeless.
Our God leads with Mercy and Grace. When people refuse His mercy and Grace they receive His Justice. God wants to break through to those with Hard Hearts. He is not afraid to speak firmly and directly to our Hearts to help us hear and respond to him.
The Truth Matters. The Truth is that Jesus Christ is God's Son who came for us (in the Flesh). As Christians celebrate the truth, we must remain on guard as many false teachers continue to pervert the truth.
We (Christians) can have certainty in an uncertain world. We have the assurance of eternal life, answered prayer, victory over sin and satan, belonging to God, and that Jesus is the TRUE God. Jesus gives us real confidence despite the ever-shifting circumstances.
Am I confident or living in fear? Am I honest or living a lie? Am I joyfully obedient to God or rebelling? Am I an overcomer of the world or hopelessly overwhelmed. The book of 1 John helps us to answer some of these questions.
God loves us more than we can imagine, and John tells us that we are to love others with that same kind of love. In fact, a way we can test whether we even know God is to look at how well we love others.
Followers of Jesus should be good at distinguishing the truth from the lies - the real from the fake. John gives us a sturdy practice that helps us in testing whether something is from God or if it opposes Him.
Faith in Jesus, love for other Christians, and obeying God's commands are the major tests of true Christian faith.
Incompatible - unable to coexist together. Being a Child of God is incompatible with practicing a sinful lifestyle. There will be struggle with sin until we stand completed in the presence of the Savior. According to the Apostle John, the person who “lives in” willful unrepentant sin is not a Christian.
Know Who You ARE. Remember Who You ARE. All Christians need regular reminders that we ARE the Children of God. We have been brought into the family of God, and as Children of God, we should increasingly resemble the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit through our obedience.
Our world is filled with hackers, imposters, counterfeiters, and frauds of all kinds. What we desperately long for is Authenticity. Authentic Christians following the Authentic Savior and leading people into Authentic Faith.
This is IMPOSSIBLE: You Cannot Love God and Love the *World. "The World" is the organized system headed by Satan that leaves God out and is a rival to Him. God wants us to love him and then to love the people made in his image that populate this world. We're going to need his help.
Only the Living God can truly rescue and save and our culture and kids are in need of rescue. Ask the King of Heaven to push back the darkness preying on our kids through social media and the internet. We need to experience the Favor of Heaven in this important battle.
The Apostle John wants New Believers (Little Children), Adolescent Believers (Young Men), and Mature Believers (Fathers) to Grow and make Progress in their faith. We are called to walk the same way Jesus walked - Yes, Love is his signature.
God is Light and in him is no darkness at all. The Living God wants his people, his children, his followers - to be people who walk and live in the light. Shady attitudes, words, and actions have no place in the life of a believer in Jesus. Lord, help us to live in the light!
Once Upon A Time is how many of our popular fairytales begin, but fairytales can never truly deliver the "happily ever after” that our hearts long for. A REAL relationship with Jesus the Savior is what we were made for. You are invited to investigate and experience Jesus.
Our God Works. Work is Good. When we work… we reflect God. The scriptures teach us to value work and to reject laziness. How you work matters to God.
We all need people to pray for us. When we ask for prayer, we need to be specific in our prayer requests and to prioritize God and his plans ahead of our own. Remember: Jesus is Greater than the enemy, his love is amazing and he never fails. Amen & Amen.
This amazing passage is packed with theological richness and practical wisdom. God the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit receive ALL the Praise regarding our salvation. From a practical standpoint, we are called upon the stand firm and hold on to the teaching we have received. Finally, we are prayed for and need all the support we can get.
People are gripped by anxiety regarding current-day events. People can also get stressed about the future and what will happen and when it will happen. This truth brings both calm and confidence to Christians around the world, “Jesus is Triumphant”!

The Truth that Saves Us must be the First Priority. That Truth has three elements to it: Jesus died for our sins, he was buried and after three days, he rose again according to the scriptures.
Many have given Jesus and the Resurrection a quick glance. Some have observed the evidence, but have not crossed into saving faith. Then, there are those who have viewed and understood that Jesus lived, died, and rose again… this is where Life is found!
The Triumphal Entry of Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey was the “Official Reveal” of him as the long-awaited King of Israel. His identity and agenda cannot be hidden. Celebrate Jesus today and allow him to reign in your life.

Christians are not to live with fear, stress, and anxiety regarding the judgment which is coming into the world against sin. We are children of the light and children of the day. Let us reject sin (darkness) and live as beacons of the light in this broken world.
Death breaks things. Death separates the soul from the body. Death brings hurt and grief to the living. How can we thrive in the midst of grief? Behold the risen Savior! The reality of the resurrection and the return of Christ changes everything.
God is serious about wanting us (his people) to learn, grow and mature in our faith. He wants us to separate from sin and be set apart for his good plans. Honoring God with our sexuality is a significant step in our sanctification.

Like a prize-winning boxer, Christ-followers are going to need someone “in our corner.” Christians need the Savior, and they need other believers who will care for them and encourage them in the fight.

One day, Jesus will make everything NEW in this world. He will need to undo many things we call “normal,” like tears, death, mourning, and pain. As we look forward to “that day,” we can rest in the fact that he can begin his reNEWal plan in us this year.
The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 16:1, “I am not ashamed of the gospel…” Jesus was not ashamed of us and came for us just as he promised. We should not be ashamed of him, who he is, and what the scriptures reveal about his future rule and reign.

The Kingdom advances as the Church works “Together” to fulfill the Great Commission. We are meant to Pray Together, Work Hard Together, and value every name included in the family of God.
New Life in Jesus is meant to change every relationship that we have, especially the relationships in our homes. The Prescription is Christ Above All for Wives, Husbands, Children, Fathers, Employees, and Employers.

BEWARE: The Church is under attack by false teachers. Satan can't bring Christians back into his family, but he will work hard to derail and disqualify us. Some of the religious tools he uses are Legalism, Syncretism, and Asceticism.
Be Secure in the Truth. Be Secure in God's Love. Be Secure in your place in God's Family. Be Secure in the midst of an insecure world.
Everyone who puts their faith in Jesus is given equal standing as a child of the King and citizen of Heaven. There are no first-class and second-class members of God's family. Our world longs for this equality, but only Jesus provides it.
