All Christians struggle to walk that fine line between being bold, but staying humble — but for Christian women, the struggle is perhaps even more difficult. Why? Women are often told and taught that it's their biblical role to walk in quiet obedience to their husbands, to their church leaders, to those they are serving — yet this is not how Jesus saw women. And it's a shame when women who have talents and gifts galore are shamed into silence based on faulty Bible teachings. Maybe that's why young women are leaving the church nowadays. Misty Phillip has a new book, “Spark Your Influence,” that teaches women specifically how to be submissive yet bold — just as Jesus was.
Editor: The Christian community is the only group that can unite the world in peace and prosperity. The trouble is that several thousand years has divided Christians into separate groups of conflicting ideas designed to win God's favor exclusive to all other belief systems. The boss says a house divided will fail — note that is the truth! Together you will conqueror evil and bring the world to peace. Every Christian sect believes their dogma is superior to all others and exclusive to God's privilege. The truth is that God has no pets. All Christians believe God builds trees and...Article Link
Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope-Episode 36 Gary discusses the fact that ALL Christians are preterists, at least to some degree. If you believe the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ is a historical fact—you are a preterist. Even unbelievers cannot deny that these events—whether they believe they happened or not—have changed the course of world history. In other words, Jesus Christ has changed the world forever, according to the Scriptures.
Did you know Jesus was not just human? Jesus was fully God and fully human at the same time. In theology this is called the hypostatic union. All Christians should know how to articulate the divinity of Jesus Christ. This episode will help you to share this doctrine from a Bible based perspective. Bible Reading: Isaiah 61:1-3, 10-11; Colossians 1:9-10"This giant oak tree is what gave Oak Park its name," the tour guide told the kids on their field trip. Elijah listened attentively. He loved history and learning things like this.Back home later that day, Elijah told his mom about the tour. "That big oak tree survived the Civil War, a flood, and six fires," he said. "Wow!" said Mom. "That's amazing.""It kept on growing," said Elijah, "even though the odds were a hundred to one against it. The oak is one of the slowest-growing trees in the world, but it's also one of the strongest. It survives things that cause other trees to die.""Hmm," said Mom. "You know, Elijah, you're something like that tree." Elijah was surprised. "Me? I didn't survive a war or a flood or even one fire--let alone six!"Mom laughed. "No, but I still think you're like that tree.""How?" asked Elijah."Well," said Mom, "for one thing, the oak grows slowly, and you--"Elijah interrupted her. "You always say I'm growing up too fast!" Mom smiled. "That's true--physically. But I was thinking of the way most of us grow spiritually. As Christians, it's often easy to wonder if we're making any progress in becoming more like Jesus." Elijah nodded as he recalled some trouble he'd gotten into recently. "You may grow slowly in Christ," said Mom, "but like that oak, you do grow steadily. And you survive worse things than war or floods. You survive attacks from Satan and struggles with temptation.""But I still do wrong things," Elijah pointed out.Mom nodded. "I know--I do too. All Christians give in to temptation and sin sometimes. But the fact that you feel bad when you sin--and that you don't want to do it again--shows that you're continuing to grow.""Really?" Elijah smiled. "That's pretty cool.""Have faith that God is working to make you grow to be more like Jesus," Mom told him. "Keep working with Him by admitting when you sin and trusting Him to help you change your habits--even when the growing gets tough!" –Nathan RunyonHow About You?Do you ever wonder if you're growing spiritually? If you're a Christian, God is always working in your heart to make you more like Jesus--even when it's hard for you to detect. When you do something wrong, confess your sin and ask God for forgiveness. Then look to Him for the strength you need to resist temptation, and trust Him to help you grow in Him.Today's Key Verse:Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All Christians are admonished to respect everyone in every facet of life and should put on spiritual armour against the enemies of their souls. The fight we fight is not against man. It is a spiritual war that requires spiritual battle armor, described here in scripture. Notice that the armor covers the front of the body; because sanctified, regenerated believers don't turn and run in battle. For those that give up and turn back to what brought them out of will have no protection against the wiles and fiery darts of the enemy. This is how the great falling away is taking place.
All Christians know they are supposed to pray, but where do we see evidence of prayers being answered in the Bible? In today's episode, Pastor Derek and Pastor Jackie answer a listener question about the power of prayer in the Bible. We know prayer matters, so we dig into plenty of Scripture to see examples of God powerfully answering prayer. We hope that this episode serves as an encouragement and reminder to you that prayer matters and God can do powerful things through it!The 17:17 podcast is a ministry of Roseville Baptist Church (MN) that seeks to tackle cultural issues and societal questions from a biblical worldview so that listeners discover what the Bible has to say about the key issues they face on a daily basis. All Christians are hypocrites because hypocrisy is inconsistency and no one is perfectly, morally consistent. We as Christians need to follow Christ better, but does the truth of Christianity rest on who we are, or on who Christ is? 1 Peter 2 Speaker: Kevin Stiles

All Christians are called to bless, but do we know what that call means and how it informs the way we relate to our family and neighbors? In this breakout session at TGCW24, Tina Boesch considers the relational, future-oriented, and outward-focused nature of blessing, tracing it from Genesis to Numbers 6 and Jesus‘s teachings. From blessings in the home and church to extending them to our communities—and even our enemies—Boesch encourages listeners with practical steps to embrace and share God's blessing in everyday life.

Everyone begins life unmarried, some remain so, many return to the single state as widows and widowers. The Lord has not left the single saint without instruction and comfort, which neither insensitivity nor hyper-sensitivity should undermine.Singleness can bring its problems, some more legitimate, others less so. It can be a season of desire, of drifting, of distress, of desperation, even of despair. While not all single saints will feel all these things, most will struggle with some. All Christians need to remember that single Christians are members with us of Christ's body. All Christians need to remember that the Scriptures contain many examples of useful, fruitful, fulfilled believers. Above all, we must remember that a perfect man was perfectly happy, perfectly content, perfectly beloved, perfectly satisfied, and served and sacrificed perfectly, leaving an example for the single saint.
All Christians should be able to explain why they are confident that heaven awaits them by telling people what Jesus has done for them.

All Christians have all been enlisted into service in the Lord's army. With that enlistment comes responsibility, hardship, and incomparable peace. But what does a good soldier of the Lord look like? In this practical message, Pastor Jeff Schreve describes the life and duties of a Christian soldier. He explores what to expect and how to respond as you march into the spiritual battles of life.
Why is the church so important and is it really necessary for the Christian's personal walk with Christ? Many Christians throughout history have minimized the church and it continues today. Is the kingdom of God the same thing as the church? According to Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones in this sermon titled “The Doctrine of the Church,” most problems flow from not taking the church seriously. The answers start by learning how “church” is used in Scripture. Dr. Lloyd-Jones explains that the church is a visible expression of the kingdom of God, yet it is not the kingdom in all its fullness. All Christians are part of the worldwide church. Dr. Lloyd-Jones shares that it is impossible to be a Christian and not be part of the global church. In the Scriptures, church almost always refers to a local body of believers, and it means “called out ones.” But not everything that calls itself a church is truly a redeemed congregation. It is these individual bodies and individual Christians all over the world that make up the global church. Christians have been called out of the world into the global church and kingdom of God, and this has massive consequences for the Christian life. Listen as Dr. Lloyd-Jones helps the listener understand how to live as an important part of the church and why this is important.

In this episode we see a woman who has been demonically oppressed for eighteen years, yet as soon as Jesus sees her, He calls her forward and delivers her of the assaulting spirit, and lays His hand on her to heal her damaged body. In the following debate He calls her a "daughter of Abraham" which for Him is a very special term meaning much more than just an Israelite physically descended from Abraham and Sarah. As He listens to the discernment of the Spirit, Jesus recognizes that she is a woman of faith though outwardly she is humiliatingly contorted. A "child of Abraham," whether a man (Lk 19:9) or a woman, is a person who so trusts God that they will wait for His answer over time and through hardship. Many of the marks of faith in this couple's life are listed in Hebrews 11:1,2,6-19,39,40. All Christians are seen by God as "children of Abraham" (Gal 3:6-9,26-29), so in the account of this healing we learn some important lessons that apply to our lives today.
How does godliness play out differently if I am a man, a woman, a young man, a young woman, a husband or a wife? All Christians are called to live like Christ. Why does the Apostle Paul choose to write about what godliness looks like for the older and younger and for us as men and women, rather than more generally for us as people? Does our age and sex have implications for the challenges we face in living for Jesus? Are these things just human constructs or elements of divine gift? And what implications does this have for how we think about discipleship and our lived experience of complementarian ministry? Rapp Report episode 328Discussed from What We Believe?"The Bible teaches the calling of all saints to the work of service (1 Corinthians 15:58; Ephesians 4:12; Revelation 22:12)."The need of the church is to cooperate with God as He accomplishes His purpose in the world. To that end, He gives the church spiritual gifts. First, He gives men chosen for the purpose of equipping the saints for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:7-12), and He also gives unique and special spiritual abilities to each member of the body of Christ (Romans 12:5-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-31; 1 Peter 4:10-11)."The calling of all saints to the work of service is the central theme of this episode, emphasizing that the church is not merely a social club but a community where each member is expected to contribute actively. Host Andrew Rappaport and guest Harold Smith delve into the importance of understanding and utilizing spiritual gifts within the body of Christ to fulfill God's purpose. They explore the misconception that church attendance is sufficient, stressing that genuine participation and service are essential for a healthy church environment. The conversation highlights how service should be motivated by a desire to glorify God, rather than seeking personal gain or avoiding potential hurt from past experiences. With a mix of personal anecdotes and theological insights, the hosts encourage listeners to engage in meaningful ways, ultimately fostering a vibrant and functioning church community.Takeaways:The church is not merely a social club; it's a place for service and ministry.Every believer is uniquely gifted to contribute to their local church's mission.Serving in the church requires a mindset shift from receiving to giving.Healthy churches have members actively seeking ways to serve, not just consume.Pastors should not only teach doctrine but also equip their congregation for service. All Christians are called to use their gifts to glorify God and help others.Mentioned in the episode:Are You Encouraging Your Pastor? This podcast is a ministry of Striving for Eternity and all our resources Listen to other podcasts on the Christian Podcast CommunitySupport Striving for Eternity
From the responsorial psalm: “Let the faithful exult in glory; let them sing for joy upon their couches; Let the high praises of God be in their throats. This is the glory of all his faithful. Alleluia. The Lord takes delight in his people." A reading from the holy Gospel according to John (John 3:22-30) John answered and said, “No one can receive anything except what has been given from heaven. You yourselves can testify that I said that I am not the Christ, but that I was sent before him. The one who has the bride is the bridegroom; the best man, who stands and listens for him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. So this joy of mine has been made complete. He must increase; I must decrease.” As Jesus baptizes with his disciples in the region of Judea, the disciples of John the Baptist tell him that Jesus is baptizing and that everyone is coming to him. John replies to them with great humility, bringing to unity his followers and the followers of Jesus. John recognizes in Jesus the fulfillment of his role as the "best man," the one who would prepare the way of the Lord. He delights in it. "So this joy of mine has been made complete." At the heart of his joy is giving glory to the Lord. "He must increase; I must decrease." God, help me follow the example of John's humility in attributing every good gift to you. In receiving what you gave him, John made the way to Jesus clear to all who heard him. Give me the grace today to respond to the vocation and purpose you gave me. As the Catechism makes clear about human freedom and cooperation with your grace, let me understand what you have called me to. It says: "All Christians in any state or walk of life are called to the fullness of Christian life and to the perfection of charity." Just as John understood that as Jesus increased, he must decrease, give me wisdom to discern how to bring about the fullness and perfection of your will, the source of every good gift. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Who is "Left Behind"? This is Part 3 of a new series addressing the next prophetic event for people living in the "last days". The disappearance of ALL Christians from Earth has occurred. What happens next? What happens to those who were "left behind"? Everyone left behind now has a decision to make. Could they have known or anticipated the predicament they find themselves in? Now that they know who the Antichrist is, what's next?
All Christians are filled with the Holy Spirit. But God always wants more for us, more of his power and presence. In this seminar, Debby Wright (VCUKI National Director) explores who the Holy Spirit is, some of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and how we can encounter him.
Leadership comes in various forms and contexts. All Christians are to lead in some capacity. How are we to lead? What makes a good leader in spiritual matters? We should turn to the "Shepherd and Overseer of [our] souls" (1 Peter 2:25) to see true leadership.

Psalms 107:1-31 — In this sermon, “Give Thanks Unto the Lord” from Psalm 107:1–31, Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones defines the Christian as the one who sees their sin and brokenness. They see their weakness and flee to Christ, abandoning all efforts of saving themselves. Regardless of one's background and upbringing, what unifies all of humankind is their fallen nature and their need for redemption in Christ. All are born in Adam and are children of wrath. It is from this mess of fallen humankind that Christians are saved through the work of Christ. It is Christ that delivers people from sin and gives them new life in the midst of their distress. All Christians are saved through the same blood, Savior, and God. This common salvation applies to all people regardless of their personality. It saves all people regardless of their ethnic background and cultural background. The peace that Christ brings applies to everyone in all times and in all places. This is because Jesus Christ fulfills the deepest need of everyone. He delivers all who cry out and believe from their sin and brokenness by leading them into the heavenly Jerusalem, making them a new people by the power of His blood. Jesus delivers from all brokenness and sin by the power of His gospel. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/603/29

Before we go any further into church history, it is important to take a clarifying theology break. Many are those who have seen Saints as a special class of Christians who, through their own personal and practical holiness have attained levels of holiness that other Christians have not. Is this consistent with the teachings either of Christ or the Apostles? No. No it isn't. All Christians are saints, and that fact of identity spurns us on to being further conformed to the image of Christ. The happiness of the triune God beats at the very heart of reality: the Father has always delighted in the Son by the Spirit. All Christian joy finds its wellspring here.
