Ian Fidance is an NYC based comedian who has ADD and likes to talk. Wild World is a comedy podcast that interestingly isn't always funny, but funnily enough is always interesting. Will he call an old friend to spin some yarns? Talk to a niche member of the ska music community? Accidentally overshare…
Hey everybody! Hope you're well, as always. My podcasting equipment shat the bed so it's been a min since the last episode. Have no fear! It's fixed and we're in the clear! Today I recorded with Andy Haynes, a great comic and buddy who is using the recording for his own podcast Miss Me With That. I'm excited! A cross over episode! Woohoo! We recorded in the car on the way back from a gig in Atlantic City and a few times we couldn't see out the windshield because of the rain, but bless Hosanna on High we made it to tell the tale. See Andy wherever you can, visit his website http://www.imandyhaynes.com and listen to his podcast https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/miss-me-with-that/id1399451091?mt=2 This weekend I'm in Burlington, VT at Vermont Comedy Club with Beth Stelling. Come say hi! Thanks for listening, Ian
Hey everybody! Hope you're doin well as usual. I have a hot one for ya today! First I talk about gettin sick and quittin cigs, yellin and dyin, but then - but THEN! I partake in one of the most fun talks I've had in a while with two fellas whose work I've been a fan of for years. Every day since 2012, brothers Beau and Bryan Abbott have drawn crude jokes on their old trading cards from the '80s and '90s and posted them on Tumblr, Twitter, and Instagram as Baseball Card Vandals. Today I talk to them about their lives, how it all started, creating for the sake of your own happiness, and find out the inside scoop on the weirdest geniuses and most beautifully demented fellas to ever grab a sharpie. Baseball Card Vandals have a book coming out called "Baseball Card Vandals: Over 200 Decent Jokes on Worthless Cards!" Hey everybody how the hell are ya? Back at it this week and my guest is adult film star Alana Luv. But first I fill ya in on the great relapse of 2012 and share my love for Reno 911. Today's guest is 3 time AVN award nominee for "Hottest Milf" Alana Luv. Alana shares the interesting tale of how she got into pornography and what it was like for her growing up normal in Brooklyn. I get back into cooking and try to multitask while recording the podcast with mixed results. I also talk to singer/songwriter Christopher Mansfield from the band Fences - not to be confused with the award winning Denzel Washington/Viola Davis film "Fences" - cuz holy hell will you be surprised when it's not that. Anyway, we have a great talk about sobriety, mania, recovering from it all through creating, and also we learn about the Earl of Sandwich. I really enjoyed this episode and I hope you do, too. Happy New Year everybody! This is the first pod of 2019 and it's a doozy, folks. I tell the tale of the great scarfcapade of 2018 and then I get to my interview with Roger Miret. For those that don't know, Roger Miret was a Cuban immigrant who came to America at the age of four in 1968 and became a pioneer of the New York Hardcore scene in the 80s. He joined seminal NYHC group Agnostic Front in 1983 and has influenced and changed people's attitudes, lives, and perceptions thru his music worldwide. The music of Agnostic Front and NYHC in general oozes brutality and violence, but beneath that is a layer of humanity and brotherhood that's often overlooked. Hearing Roger speak to that in this conversation, and seeing it play out in the documentary "Godfathers of Hardcore" as well as in his book "My Riot" is extremely fascinating. "My Riot" is a true immigrant story of survival in a land of desperation and despair and ultimately, triumphantly, coming out on top. Enjoy this conversation I have with a dude that's sweet as hell who's lived a life that's influenced countless others and who's been humble and true to himself throughout it all. The Godfathers of Hardcore - A Film by Ian McFarland - http://thegodfathersofhardcore.com/ My Riot: Agnostic Front, Grit, Guts & Glory - https://www.amazon.com/My-Riot-Agnostic-Front-Glory/dp/1944713107 If ya dig the pod, like what you hear, and have some time, rate review and subscribe - it helps and I thank ya for listening!

Hey gang welcome back to another episode of the pod! This week I talk to an old pal by the name of Corinne Fisher - comedian, author, and podcaster - from a lil podcast called Guys We F****d (and Two Less Lonely Girls). What is fame? What is privacy? What is the cross section between the two? How do you balance exposure and exploitation with your own right to privacy and keep doing what you love in the process? We try to figure it out today and have fun along the way. Really enjoyed this one and I hope you do, too. Rate! Review! Subscribe! Share! Tell a friend to tell a friend! It all helps and I thank ya for it!
Hey gang here's another episode for ya. I talk with someone I've admired for a while and I'm lucky enough to call him a friend - Cheyenne Randall aka indiangiver on instagram. Minor Threat. Bad Brains. Dag Nasty. Fugazi. Dischord Records. DC punk & hardcore. Incredible music, incredible stories, incredible history & it's all captured in an incredible documentary called "Salad Days: A Decade of Punk in Washington, DC (1980-1990)". Written & directed by Scott Crawford, "Salad Days" received critical praise from the NY Times, Washington Post, Variety, Hollywood Reporter, Rolling Stone, MTV, and sold out theater screenings all over the world. The film examines the early DIY punk scene in the Nation’s Capital. It was a decade when seminal bands like Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Government Issue, Scream, Void, Faith, Rites of Spring, Marginal Man, Fugazi, and others released their own records and booked their own shows—without major record label constraints or mainstream media scrutiny. And I got Scott Crawford on the horn to talk to me about it all. Beyond honored to get to interview someone who was a part of something that was so special to me and has influenced my ethos and style of comedy/living. Very very cool & I hope ya'll like it. http://www.ianfidance.com for dates to see me live @ianimal on instagram - DM me to ask questions or lemme know what ya think @IANfidance on twitter - same thing ianfidanceswildworld@gmail.com to email me http://www.saladdays.com for info about Scott's documentary https://www.amazon.com/Spoke-Images-Stories-1980s-Washington/dp/1617755001 - to purchase his new book about DC hardcore called "Spoke" thanks for listenin! xo, IAN

what's up gang! ian here & i got a hot one for ya. holy jeez if you don't like ska - TURN THE RADIO OFF (reel big fish ref) jk listen to ska cuz it rules & it's more than just horns. Today I interview the great Mike Park - founder of Asian Man Records, vocalist/sax player in Skankin' Pickle. Side projects are The Chinkees & Bruce Lee Band (B. Lee Band), and his current musical incarnation is an acoustic venture under his name, Mike Park. ALSO! He organizes charity tours and events via his non-profit The Plea for Peace Foundation. His label will sign anyone that's anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-prejudice and is still run, to this day, out of his parents garage in California with help only from his parents and friends. Holy shit this guy, his music, message, and the bands his label put out helped me out a lot and it was so cool talkin' to him. He's gotta lotta wisdom & ya'll are gonna enjoy listenin' to it. EDIT: I misspoke during the pod - Asian Man Records was started in 1996. I know I said 1988, but in actuality, it was 1989 when Mike started a label called Dill Records, with Asian Man starting in his parents garage in Monte Soreno, California in '96. My bad gang.
