We share our greatest memories, our biggest highs and best of what is yet to come… Last Sunday, City travelled to the West Coast to face Brighton in the Women's Super League. Earlier in the season, we were only able to salvage a point against a well-organized Brighton. However, City were able to produce a dominating performance. Resulting in a 7-1 win, with a big 3 points picked up on the road, the result meaning City move above Arsenal into 3rd position in the league standings.

It's great to be back with the podcast this week! Apologies for the belated episode -We've got plenty of catching up to do and to help me do it. We're joined by Dave & Jayne from the Manchester City Women's Supporters Club OSC (@MCWFC_OSC). Let's start with our first game since the international break. Man City Women headed to Walton Park Hall to face Everton for their meeting in the WSL as they looked to bridge the gap in the table standings. It was vital to come away from a win to keep on the pace the top of the table. On Tuesday the squad travelled to Sweden as our campaign for the Champions League got underway for our first leg tie against Goteborg. Last Sunday Manchester City Women played their first game in over a month at the Academy Stadium as we welcomed visitors Bristol City Women to the CFA. Happy with result, we recorded our all-time winning margin in the league outdoing out 7-1 against West Ham but more importantly was great spray of goals and players contributing throughout the squad. We looked great on the counter attack & was pleasing to showcase our clinical edge ahead our upcoming Derby Double. Following on our incredible Women's FA Cup winning weekend at Wembley, it's back to business for Manchester City Women as attention returns the Continental Cup for our second group stage against Liverpool Women FC at Prenton Park. The last time we faced Liverpool was back in December of last year, with Gemma Bonner's goal the only difference between the two sides. Liverpool having already faced rivals Manchester United in the group & picking up a win away from home at Leigh Sports Village. Vicky Jepson's side will certainly feel they can compete against the top tier oppositions and City won't underestimate the reds capabilities. It's been 547 days since the last Women's FA Cup Final which took place on Saturday 4th May 2019. Manchester City ran out 3-0 winners against West Ham. We now look ahead to Sunday, where City will not only have hopes of retaining the FA Cup but the potential to go on and make history in this 20/21 season. Sunday will mark a special 50th Cup Final of the Women's FA Cup and although it will be tinged with sadness with the showpiece being played behind close doors without fans. It will also be met with excitement as of the biggest games in the football calendar draws closer. What a week it's been for Manchester City Women, who progress to the Final of the Vitality Women's FA Cup which will ne hosted at the iconic Wembley Stadium. Following our 2-1 win against Arsenal on Thursday night. It was an incredible team display, which saw goals from Captain, Steph Houghton with a trademark free-kick & Samatha Mewis firing home shortly after Arsenal found their equalizer through Jordan Nobbs. There is however, little time for reflection as it's on to the next as the games come thick & fast. On this week's podcast we're joined by Sian Wallis (@Sian_Wallis) from @SpursLGBT as attention returns to the Women's Super League this coming Sunday and Tottenham Hotspur make the trip north to the Academy Stadium for the first time.
