Andi White, Martin Theobald & Terry Chapendama take a weekly look at the events that have taken place in the world of boxing. Previews, reviews, politics and facts as well as questions answered from the audience and our regular feature, Argue the Inarguable, everything a boxing fan could want. Cont…
We're back, if only briefly, but certainly unexpectedly with a "poke our nose in" type pod. Not really much more to say. If we get enough engagement and desire on Twitter ('X' - for retards), we might do more in the future but I'm saying that without asking Martin or Terry. Anyway, please enjoy this helping of your favourite 'close-to-extinction podcast'.
We dive, once again into the world of boxing. A final Christmas Special to end all specials. Martin and Terry breakdown the status quo of boxing and as usual give it all the subtlety of a punch in the nose! Well, this is Andi writing and I'm retiring from the pod, leaving it to the pros. It was fun while it lasted but I'm finally done. Apologies for the insensitive and relentless swearing and thank you for all the years of listening interaction we had, I've appreciated every single listen. Gone are the days when I'd stay up to look for every single download location across the globe but I've loved the community we built together. It was an utter privilege and pleasure to be the host all these years but all good things must come to an end. I'm not one for big declarations or attention seeking, hence why I'm not "announcing this" on Twitter and for those of you that see this, a special thank you for taking the time to look at the show notes, but it's been fun and now I'm done. Thank you and goodnight.
Andi, Martin and Terry are together again, hot spoons and pant pulling down antics at the ready as they talk about boxing over zoom (oh the wonders of the internet) and despite Andi's insistence all these years that they do the podcast in the same room so that the quality is consistent and high, he doesn't point out once that the quality is naff and the internet cuts out halfway through! Not all heroes wear capes guys.. Anyway, through Zooms incredible ability to allow for people MILES apart to sound like they're just sat in the next room with a cup on a piece of string, we cover: Fury vs AJ The current state of Boxing The small hall scene Boxers Andi's never heard of in Franks stable and loads of other garbage you'd probably rather skip through. ENJOY!
I'm up at 4am for work so this part is getting neglected but to bulk it out I'll paste something random from the Internet: Eddie Hearn responds to claim he has gone back on his word about free tickets for NHS workers ahead of Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev. It read: “Matchroom Boxing will donate 200 tickets per event at our Saturday Fight Night and PPV shows to the brave front line NHS heroes fighting the coronavirus pandemic. The scheme will last for 12 months from when it is safe for boxing to resume.” Hearn said as part of the statement: “We’ve been thinking about how we can say thank you to the incredible NHS workers that have selflessly helped everybody through this COVID-19 crisis. “They’ve been absolutely amazing and from our side at Matchroom Boxing we are announcing a new scheme for when we get back to our live shows where we will be giving away 200 tickets to NHS workers for every Saturday Fight Night and PPV show around the country from hopefully this summer forward. “We can’t thank you enough for all of your support. NHS workers, you have been absolutely incredible, and you are the pride of our country. Stay well everyone, stay safe, stay at home and we’ll get through this soon.” There you go, totally random waffle from the internet.
It's finally happened, the reunion is here! Please enjoy with maximum popcorn and minimum propensity for litigation.
Lets face it, there's zero content to talk about let alone preview here, so we just chat shit for 2+ hours! ENJOY!

Just the tip?! What a tease! We'll be back tonight with a New Age Boxing Podcast - but what does that mean, you'll just have to wait and see, won't you?!...
On the heels of his first interview, Johnny attempts to strike whilst the iron is hot and looks to get some advice about improving and expanding his public profile. While Rick is busy dealing with the wake those actions create.
After Johnny's fight in Norwich, he's keen to get on the front foot and make the most of his new found internet fame. But can Rick strike while the iron is hot or will he fail to live up to his promises to Johnny?
Fight night is finally here and Johnny is desperate to make his mark, what could possibly go wrong?
In the third episode of Roped Off, Johnny has to confront some hard truths about the economics of boxing, whilst Rick struggles to prove his managerial worth to Johnny. Written and produced by Andi White & Martin Theobald Get in touch on Twitter: @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather
It's episode two and Johnny has some work to do, in the gym as well as in his mates office creating a social media profile. We meet Barry, Johnny's trainer and we meet Dan, Johnny's friend. On a totally unrelated side note, Rick, Barry and Dan never seem to be in the same room at the same time. Anyway, please enjoy the latest episode of Roped Off!
NewAgeBoxing has changed, this is Roped Off. Roped Off is a fictional depiction of the life of an aspiring young heavyweight boxer "Johnny Flashlight"and his manager "Rick Ronman". Tune in each week to hear how Rick handles Johnny's career and where Johnny's ambition will take him.
Martin and I get together for a pod - at last! Though, fair warning, it's not a sunny one,but what it does do is explain our recent absence from the podcasting scene. Make of it what you will and of course your reactions will always be valued, however the take shape. So this is it! Get in touch: @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather
We pop in with an emergency pod. I'm off to work soon, so I'll keep this short and sweet: we discuss Canelo v Kovalev, SOME Fury WWE and bits and bobs of the Prograis v Taylor fight and some other bits. Get in touch: @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather
We get the pleasure of a follow up with Hall of Famer Buddy McGirt. We speak about the win against Anthony Yarde, the tragedy of Maxim Dadashev, what Commissions could do differently, Buddy's Hall of Fame induction and of course, the upcoming bout with a certain Canelo Alvarez. (Apologies for any sound issues, blame the distance between the UK & the US!)
Seocnd attempt at uploading this, apologies for lack of waffle..
Not a massive amount going on during Boxing's down time, but we turn up for a -not very quick - review of Anthony Yarde's attempting at wrestling away the WBO crown from Sergei Kovalev. We also touch on the upcoming Lomachenko demolition of Luke Campbell, whoops, I mean the tough but equal bout between .... no, wait I mean what I said in the first place, otherwise I'd have deleted it, wouldn't I.. Finally, get your submissions in for badges people. The entries so far have been incredible, so thank you! newageboxing@outlook.com Tweet us: @newagepodfather @newageboxinguk
We ended the season in pretty limp fashion: falling across the finish line of the year. However, we're back to make it up to you with some mid off season content, sweeping up all the things that they want under that damn rug! But you don't want to know about that, you wan to know about BADGES! Specifically, official NewAgeBoxing PROMOTER badges! Well listen and find out and then send us a story - you'll know what about after you've listened. Send your stories to: newageboxing@outlook.com Otherwise, get in touch on Twitter: @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather
Once upon a time, there was a boxer called Byllyan. He was quite good but not the best. He didn't like not being the best so........he took a shit ton of PED's because everyone else does, then it bit him in the arse because he was as good at hiding it as he was at boxing - not QUITE good enough... Yeah, I wasn't going to string that one out, you get the picture.. This week is all about THAT situation. We also cover Gervonta's fight and Hughie signing for ̶W̶a̶r̶r̶e̶n̶ Hearn, I mean Hearn..... OK?! Gees... Get in touch: @newagepodfather @newageboxinguk
This week, our first week back as a duo, the pod tackles Friday's Ultimate Boxer, Matchroom's Saturday serving and we talk about the mouthpiece extraordinaire, the true knowledge, the legend that is.....Mr Terry Chapendama! Get in touch: @newagepodfather @newageboxinguk
It's been 2 and a half years of fun, laughs and epic friendship. A man walked into my kitchen whom I knew only from a unabashed message to my mate on Twitter.. Almost 3 years later I can say I have a friend for life.. Terry can be loud, proud, brazen and crazy on our podcast, but the man is much more than that. Terry Chapendama is a man with a big heart and a lot of love in it. He has more knowledge on boxing than I could ever hope to garner or glean and he has brought a dimension to the podcast that neither me or Martin could have ever brought to it.. He has made the journey up to London every week for what feels like forever and not once complained about it.. Most of all I feel like I've made a friend I could rely on through thin and thinner to be there for me. The guy is a legend and a legend I am thankful to have met, thank you Terry, for everything. So, it is with regret we say goodbye to our friend.. Gone and never forgotten.. We love you Tel and good luck brother...
Big pod of answering questions this week with Andi and Martin.. Didn't get yours in? Get it ready and send it in for next week (after Wednesday)! Thanks for listening @newagepodfather @newageboxinguk
When the Chap-meister is away to truncheon conversation comes into play! Andi & Martin hold the fort whilst Terry attends a Christening. Taking questions from the Twitterati they tackle everything from the Fury joke of a win over Schwarz to love truncheons - yeah, you read that right... Get in touch: @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather
So, Terry went off script early on in the pod and talked over the - very lazy - playing of a sound bite down the microphone, so I decided to do a little Terry soundboard at the end of the show. Like a child, I sniggered to myself whilst creating it! :D Anyway, this episode is Andi trying to hold Terry to account for what he says, just because we get so much feedback about it. Think he needs to answer more? Get in touch: @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather Thanks for you support and your ears!
Once upon a time, there was a man who wanted to be a boxer, so he gave up dealing drugs and embarked on a career in boxing. One day he won a world championship when a bum came to town, he was SO bad and stupid, his shorts had to be sprayed on because he didn't know his size. Anyway, with his new championship he embarked on a quest to be a billionaire (because that was now really important for some reason and he decided he didn't really like boxing after all; he liked giving lectures in restaurants). One day another champion said "lets find out who is the best" and the champion said "only for LOTS of MONEY" (because, remember, THAT was the most important thing) and the other champion said "OK, I'll give you LOTS of money" and the champion said "No" because now money wasn't important for some reason. NOW, he wanted easy and fun fights, for a little bit of money doing boxing. Along came a fat potato and this fat potato said "I'll fight you, but I want to take drugs too" "No way" said the champion, I'll fight an even BIGGER potato and so he did.. And the big fat potato said during the fight, "Do you like fighting?" and the champion said "Not really".. The potato then said "How important is the money?" and the champion said "Not this important.." The potato then said "Do you want it easy?" the champion said "Oh yes please.." and the potato said "Then just go to sleep.." and the champion slumped on the ropes and went to sleep.. We also talk about the unrelated AJ v Ruiz bout. Get in touch: @newagepodfather @newageboxinguk
Wilder shows how to do deal with Breazeale, Inoue reminds us of just how terrifying little man syndrome can be and Taylor once again shines with a performance oozing class. Billy Joe gets his son to drive his Ferrari, it's unclear whether he has taught him to pay crack heads to punch people yet, but stay tuned for updates. he also had a fight but it was shite, so don't be too concerned with that. Joe Joyce comprehensively shows us he's NOT the slowest heavyweight around, by finding and beating one that's even slower. All that and more! Get in touch with questions, if you've read this far, reply a mic emoji to the podcast tweet; I've always been interested to see how many people actually read this. @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather
Legendary Trainer Buddy McGirt talks all things boxing with Terry and Martin. We cover the upcoming bout for his man Sergey Kovalev against Anthony Yarde, his days training Arturo Gatti, working with Isaac Chilemba and Paul Smith, the times in the gym with Naz and Bruno as well as his time as a world title winning fighter. Some beautiful stories of boxing bygones as well as what it's like to be in the sport now. Buddy gets the ultimate honour of being inducted to the International Boxing Hall of Fame in June, so hear some of his stories now.

We're back! And with a BANG! No pod would be the same if we weren't slagging someone off, so Terry goes full guns at.......well, you'll hear. That's TERRY, not endorsed by Andi or Martin! Anyway, we talk Khan, AJ v Miller and catch up with all the boxing we've missed in this bumper episode.. 60/40 forever.. @newagepodfather @newageboxinguk
In our last pod before a one week hiatus as Martin & Andi go on a stag do, the pod is chock full of boxing gumph! We have all the cards from Saturday night to get through, we have Selby in Mexico and both the announced Fury and Wilder fights have been announced. That's right, after the amazing fight in LA, Fury has BRAVELY elected to fight the FEARED Tom Schwarz: SO FEARED that NO-ONE has even mentioned his name in regard to credible opponents in the heavyweight division in recent years through fear that he may appear out of fat air and lay one of his boobs on your head. Meanwhile, Wilder has sought to show the world that he doesn't want to fight a bum! But he will fight a bloke who fights like a bum and also didn't manage to climb off his bum when he got in the ring with Joshua, because after AJ beat Breazeale, THE WORLD asked "Who else can beat Breazeale?" and so we waited... Anyway, yeah, those fights are a load of shit, but the fights we review are not, enjoy! Get in touch on Twitter: @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather
Back on track the band are back together. Hammering the massive stinking turd DAZN show, but have we sniffed out Eddie's masterplan? We dissect, in minute detail, Spence Jr's systematic picking apart of Garcia and talk where they both go next. Finally we discuss York Hall and Linus 'the Legend' Udofia's final English title eliminator win to put him in mandatory position for his very first title. Oh and our most sincere apologies to..............wait, yeah, I forgot, we DGAF. Get in touch on Twitter: @newagepodfather @newageboxinguk
For the first time this year, it's just Andi & Terry, whilst Martin has child duty. Unlike last week, we have an agenda to go off and Terry is on good form, giving you the lowdown on all the weekends action! Covering all the weekend's events, from the Warren Show to the DAZN card, we deliver you weekly dose of boxing catch up. Kicking off with a brief summary of our thoughts on the previous week, we then get right into it. Typical week then? Really? Oh, well you'll just have to listen for yourself. Listen, enjoy, engage and? Love, always love... So, enjoy this weeks pod and get in touch on Twitter: @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather (unless you've got yourself muted)
I'll be honest, this pod went on far too long and it's now almost 11:30 at night and I have to be up for work at 5 so, if you were wanting additional content by way of a synopsis here, I can't be bothered to write one. You might say "well, you could have written it instead of writing all this drivel" to which I'd say that our pod is 90% drivel so it's fitting. Enjoy! Slag us off on Twitter at: @newagepodfather @newageboxinguk
Quick check in with you lovely people, in spite of the fact nothing has happened.. Give us some questions please! @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather
In a less energetic pod than usual, the team plod along and finally make the point, eventually.. More rambling and long winded than a Terry story, the pod waffles on. Get in touch: @newagepodfather @newageboxinguk
We hit 2019 with an uppercut from hell as Terry rants, Martin flags at the end and we talk orangutans and AJ! Get in touch: @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather
With Terry out on yet another Stag Do, Andi and Martin hold the fort! With reviews on the weekends two massive cards (actually more like the only two respectable fights) they manage to fill almost three hours, with more waffle than a Birds Eye warehouse! Enjoy and have a wonderful Christmas! @newageboxinguk @highfieldboxing @newagepodfather
Loads to chat about this week, not least, last weeks pod! Terry robustly defends his position on small hall boxing whilst Martin picks at his arguments like a little festering wound! We chat about Brook, his win and the state of and mismanagement of his career, we also talk about Lomachenko and where he's going to go next! Finally, we touch on the fall out of the Wilder Fury draw and how it's unfolded! Get in touch with feedback and questions: @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather @highfieldboxing
Wow! What a fight! We go in depth over a fight for the ages... Get in touch: @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather @highfieldboxing
No Terry this week, so there's more waffle than a Dutch Christmas market stall and a lot less factual boxing chat. Although, there's also not endless anecdotes about fights in the 70's, fights in darkest Tajikistan and no 40 minute AOB section at the end, so swings and roundabouts - get well soon big Tel! We chat about everything in the title so read that again for the content information. Get in touch with your questions: @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather @highfieldboxing
After a monster pod last week, we trim the fat this week with a lean, quick pod and we say goodbye to Harvey, the best dog in the world and podcast legend! Get in touch: @newageboxinguk @highfieldboxing @newagepodfather
Bumper Special! Rob Tebbut joins the pod and we talk Usyk v Bellew amongst other stuff! by Roped Off
Andi had to leave early because he was going to see Bohemian Rapsody with girlfriend so the pod was slightly shortened. The film was alright, really good in places, but it didn't really know what it wanted to be, a Freddie Mercury biopic or a story about Queen.. I'd encourage you to see it though. Anyway, we chatted about how good some of the boxing was and how shit some of it was - words not mixed, as per.. Get in touch with your questions: @newageboxinguk @highfieldboxing @newagepodfather
Terry lets us know what it's like in the middle of a Warren fight club and covers the fights that happened inside the ring. We go over the DAZN shambles that never ceases to amaze. and we preview the Pulev v Fury, final eliminator for the AJ mandatory, fight. It's all happening! Enjoy! Get in touch with questions, corrections or comments: @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather @highfieldboxing
Linus Udofia joins us to discuss the weeks action and his big fight in December for the Southern Area title. Get in touch: @newageboxinguk @the7wolves @newagepodfather
Terry and Andi discuss the weekends action as Martin takes a week off. Blah, blah, blah, questions & abuse to: @newageboxinguk @the7wolves @newagepodfather
Canelo finally answers the question of who is the best ever boxer in the history of the universe with his corrupt win over Golovkin after paying off all the judges to score him a win, after injecting a whole tub of steroid heroin. Spike O'Sullivan silences his critics who thought he'd struggle against David Lemieux by not even managing to struggle and going down faster than Khan's missus on AJ. Prominent critics were heard to have said afterwards "I said he was shit, but now I feel sorry for him, I'm keeping quiet.." and "Fuck me, and I thought his moustache was bad!" All that and more! Questions and feedback on Twitter to: @newageboxing @newagepodfather @the7wolves
Khan gets flattened, Eggington gets egged and we await the ultimate beef fight coming up between Canelo and GGG. First one back, that's all you're getting. Get in touch with questions or requests for something you want me to write here: @newageboxinguk @newagepodfather @the7wolves
