La transición energética necesita soluciones capaces de descarbonizar aquellos sectores donde la electrificación no es suficiente, y en ese escenario el hidrógeno renovable desempeñará un papel protagonista. Así lo defendió Belén Linares, directora de Innovación de Moeve, durante su participación en H2 Intereconomía, donde explicó cómo la compañía está transformando su modelo de negocio para convertirse en uno de los grandes impulsores de las llamadas "moléculas verdes". La directiva destacó que el hidrógeno y sus derivados serán esenciales para reducir las emisiones en el transporte marítimo, la aviación y el transporte pesado, sectores donde las alternativas eléctricas presentan mayores limitaciones. En este contexto, el Valle Andaluz del Hidrógeno representa la gran apuesta estratégica de Moeve para liderar la producción de hidrógeno renovable en el sur de Europa y contribuir tanto a la descarbonización como a la independencia energética del continente. Linares ha explicado que la innovación constituye el eje central de la transformación de Moeve. Tras desinvertir en gran parte de sus activos de exploración y producción de hidrocarburos, la compañía ha orientado su estrategia hacia nuevos negocios sostenibles, con importantes inversiones tanto en biocombustibles avanzados como en hidrógeno renovable. Según señaló, este cambio responde a una visión de largo plazo basada en la colaboración entre empresas, administraciones e inversores. Para Moeve, el desarrollo del hidrógeno no es únicamente un proyecto empresarial, sino una oportunidad para reindustrializar España, generar empleo cualificado y fortalecer la soberanía energética europea en un contexto geopolítico cada vez más complejo. La directora de Innovación también analizó los principales retos que todavía debe afrontar el despliegue del hidrógeno renovable. Entre ellos destacó la necesidad de alcanzar economías de escala que permitan reducir los costes de producción mediante el avance tecnológico y el incremento de las inversiones. A su juicio, la regulación deberá evolucionar al mismo ritmo que la innovación, mientras que la demanda crecerá de forma natural a medida que el hidrógeno resulte más competitivo económicamente.

Linares shows that money, beyond a store of value and a medium of exchange, is a series of promises a society makes to itself – and he challenges us to make them otherwise. This innovative book takes up lessons from global history and social movements in order to unleash the political imagination. It shows us how the creation, use and most importantly the destruction of money are forms of power that need to be reclaimed through direct action, as part of a radical democratic project for autonomy and self-determination. Julio César Linares is a community organizer and economic anthropologist born in the territories known today as Guatemala. He holds an MSc from the London School of Economics where he studied and worked on projects with the late David Graeber. He serves as Public Outreach for the Basic Income Earth Network (BIEN). He lives in Berlin, Germany.

El modelo inicial de coche elegido para el relanzamiento es el 400, un vehículo que llega en versiones híbrida enchufable y diésel y que continúa deliberadamente la numeración histórica de la marca que terminó en la serie 300. La estrategia elegida de producto es de segmento de nicho: empezar con un pickup todoterreno con reductores, bloqueos diferenciales y vigas longitudinales, aprender en un segmento menos competitivo y expandirse a modelos adicionales.La pieza clave del puzzle en la nueva etapa es la joint venture con Dongfeng, fabricante chino estatal especializado en vehículos todoterreno. Edu explica por qué ese socio en concreto tiene sentido: no solo por las ventajas de coste, sino porque Dongfeng entendió desde el primer momento el ADN todoterreno de Santana, y porque la historia de la marca en China —el Santana fue en su día el coche más vendido de este país— creó una conexión inmediata. La conversación cierra con una reflexión final sobre el emprendimiento, la IA como acelerador del desarrollo de producto, y lo que significa apostar por revivir una marca industrial española con historia propia.

How are beauty and wellness business leaders actually using AI today?  That was the question posed to three longtime industry executives on stage during Glossy's annual E-Commerce Summit in Miami Beach earlier this month — and the answers may surprise you.  For example, Jenna Manula Linares, vp of digital marketing and TikTok Shop at Tarte Cosmetics, has recently added 15-minute team check-ins at the end of each weekly meeting that require staffers to share how they used AI that week and whether or not it was successful.  “We're creating a culture of experimentation,” she said. “So, what I challenge my teams to do each week is to use AI in a new or different way.” The team then tracks these challenges and results using Tarte's internal AI program.  Meanwhile, David Baker, chief revenue officer of the skin-care brand Beekman 1802, has found success in identifying early AI adopters within the brand and empowering them to learn new skills and own tentpole projects. “First and foremost, it's finding the people who have an interest in it, and giving them the room and space to play,” he said.  Baker is teaching his team to think of AI as a colleague that works while the rest of the team is off the clock. “Finding and sourcing creators gets really hard, so we've built an agentic staffer. Her name is Zoe, and Zoe is designed to source [creators] and draft personalized outreach, so that we can find people who fit our ethos and fit our brand voice really, really well at scale, while we sleep,” he said.  “AI has permeated every team and workflow we have at Tarte,” Linares said. “I'm constantly telling my team, if it takes you longer than 15 minutes to do something, there's a faster way, and you should learn and try to figure it out via AI.” Then there is Ulta Beauty, which rolled out one of the largest AI partnerships within beauty retail last month, with Google Gemini. The team has spent the past few weeks learning how its consumers actually use the new AI-powered features, which include an on-site and in-app chatbot.  “We continue to find new data sets that we need to put into [the chatbot's knowledge base, like] store locations, store hours — a lot of those things where customers are just asking generic questions,” said Josh Friedman, svp of digital and e-commerce at Ulta Beauty. “They're asking lots of questions about the brand, and we're seeing some really good use cases with our customer care agent, as well.”  In today's episode of the Glossy Beauty Podcast, host Lexy Lebsack takes listeners live on stage with Ulta Beauty's Josh Friedman, Tarte's Jenna Manula Linares and Beekman1802's David Baker to learn about the actual impact of AI today.
