After eight and a half incredible years, we're ending (for now) where it all began: with Ashley, Lauren, and Naz together in a room, talking relationships, real life, and Sex and the City. This show has been a time capsule. Of our friendships, our 20s and 30s, and all the things we still don't get. You've been with us through breakups, babies, career changes, and existential spirals. You've sent us DMs, shared your own “I don't get its,” and made this show way more than just the three of us talking into micsThank you. We love you. And we're not disappearing forever. Today we got Naz the barber in here, the swirl professional. We get into some shenanigans from the previous episode in regards to race and dating.
Gabe and Chris briefly breakdown what went wrong in game 5 and reminisce about our favorite moments from the Wolves playoff run and predict whether or not Naz, Alexander-Walker and Randle will be on the squad to start next season. It's been an amazing 2024-25 campaign and we want to thank all of you for listening and for your continued support. We do this because we love this team and we cherish the opportunity to give our opinions on this team every week. The fact that you tune in week after week to listen to us talk about Minnesota basketball keeps us going and makes us want to continually improve and adapt our content to better suite what you want to hear. Something most people underestimate about having a big vision is the process of bringing other people on board. Whether it's an investment partner or a strategic collaborator, we're required to communicate what we see, open ourselves up to their opinions, and invite them to join us on a journey to an uncharted territory. It's a vulnerable place, so of course, old fears, old stories, and upper limits will come up. How do we get them to trust us and see what we see? How do we silence those old stories from past experiences? For most change-makers dealing with the fear of executing a big vision, the natural response is to keep all the anxiety to yourself. Bottle it in so people don't think you aren't cut out for it. The problem is this isolates us and makes connection and collaboration impossible. Instead of hiding your feelings, try this instead: Voice and share what you're experiencing and let people in on what's going on internally. This will create a new space where people can collaborate with and contribute to you rather than having to get in line and follow you. Then, you can proceed together and create something beautiful. How do we get underneath the old stories and figure out where they come from? How do we open up about our fears? In this special coaching episode, we're joined by TV Producer, Host, and Podcaster Naz Perez. She shares her recent experience of bringing a vision to reality. Things You'll Learn In This Episode -From either/or to both/and One of the most common manifestations of the Upper Limit problem is thinking of a situation in binary terms. How do we shift to seeing more possibilities? -Transparency creates trust When it comes to voicing our vision, we often avoid sharing our anxieties and fears because we think it might stall the project. Can opening up move things forward faster? -Support your magnificence In unknown territory, it's easy to start changing yourself to fit in. Why must we avoid this? Guest Bio Naz Perez is a TV Producer, Host, & Podcaster. She got her start on the hit daytime talk show Ellen in production and then went on to produce for E!'s Live from the Red Carpet and the popular E! True Hollywood Story docu-series. After E!, Naz produced 5 seasons of the number one prime-time show ON ABC: THE BACHELOR, THE BACHELORETTE, AND BACHELOR IN PARADISE. ABC's The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise and 2 Bachelor spin-off series on Freeform called Happily Ever After. She left reality TV in 2017 to pursue a career on camera and is currently an on-camera host for Rotten Tomatoes, Fandango, The Los Angeles Dodgers, T-Mobile, and The I Don't Get It Podcast. Naz has also worked for various digital outlets, including but not limited to E!'s Daily Pop, Clevver, ATTN, UPROXX, & Citizen Watch. Ashley, Lauren and Naz kick this one off with one of your voicemails that sparked some big discussions about male friendships and social anxiety. How can guys get comfortable getting real? How can the rest of us get comfortable calling our dentists? Plus, we weigh in on Chris Hemsworth as Prince Charming and that Harry Styles rumor. And Ashley wonders if everyone's husband thinks the world is their swamp or if she just happened to have married a real Shrek.Listen to more podcasts like this: https://wavepodcastnetwork.comLeave Us a Voicemail and tell us what you don't get! He also talk about TSJ and Rob's growth, Jaylen Clark and his beloved neck that we want to protect forever, and how the looming return of Julius Randle may impact Naz and Jaden's growth, but could also help cuz Julius Randle is good whether or not anybody on Wolves twitter wants to admit it. Also, the back half of this episode is our live show with Chelanga, where we just let him spew takes since he doesn't have a podcast anymore. We love Chelanga and we love you and we love the Minnesota Timberwolves
