Growing up, I was often the quiet one in the room that wouldn't talk unless called upon to speak. As I grew and matured, I learned that there is power in knowing when to speak up and when to stay silent. For so long I chose to stay quiet about my relationship with God. A part of me actually thought that was how it was supposed to be. I even thought that church was the only place where God was supposed to be talked about. However, I have since learned that this journey with Christ and growing in my understanding of who he is the one thing I really shouldn't, and to be honest, can't keep quiet about. I invite you into my journey and pray you are encouraged as God uses me to share in who he is through everyday life experiences.

So you've got your degree, now what? Navigating life after college can be a challenging season. You've just accomplished something so great, but what happens if things don't go as you expect them to right after graduating? Between the pressure from people/society to have life figured out and the tension of social media igniting comparison as you watch what everyone is doing, you can begin to feel discouraged, lost, or even hopeless. Join me on this episode for a discussion with Lela Collier about navigating life post college and how God can bring beauty out of whatever you have/are  experiencing in this season, or any season of life. Whether you feel sure about what this time of life is supposed to look like or lost and hopeful, join us as we discuss the reality of what this season could look like and explore how God's hand is still over your life no matter where you are as you surrender your life and the details in between to him.VersesTitus 2:3-5'Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God. '1 Timothy 4:12'Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. An invitation to enter with God into a journey of healing from past wounds from experiences that have left a mark on your life. ...Our lives are filled with experiences, good and bad, that mark our hearts and help us develop into who we are to become.  Our experiences can bring us closer to God and initiate growth, but they can also create wounds in our life that, when unhealed, create spaces of heartache or trauma in us that we begin to operate from (often unknowingly). This is why it is important to surrender every life experience to God, especially the hard ones, and walk through the journey of healing with him. In this episode, I encourage you to dig deep and examine whether or not you have been marked by painful experiences that created spaces in your life that you never fully healed from. If so, I encourage you to surrender and listen for the heart of God to show you how to navigate through a journey of healing that he wants to take you on. This episode is only the beginning! I've found myself having anxiety about things I never use to and avoiding going to God in prayer because I'm so overwhelmed by having to express fully what I am feeling. God has been challenging me to surrender fully what I feel in each moment and wait for his response. To look forward to meeting him in the middle of it and to have awareness of how he is actively changing me in the process of it. This have been a beautiful invitation from God to deepen our relationship as we walk together through the things I experience emotionally and I learn to trust him in the timing of what he is developing in the middle. Even if we have known Christ from a worldly perspective, yet now we no longer know him in this way. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come! Everything is from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and he has committed the message of reconciliation to us. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us. What started from a moment of reflection on my past, turned into an entire episode when God showed me how the problem is not that we make plans, but that we don't submit them to him to be approved and purified for our purpose. As I was preparing notes for this episode, God reminded me that in many of the things we pray for there is a period of waiting. Even when God has spoken a word over our lives that will be sure to come to pass, it may not be as quick to come or instantaneous as we expect or want it to. Tony Evans stated that "waiting on God does not mean doing nothing. It means not going outside of his will while you do something." Even though we may know these things, it is hard especially when situations or circumstances occur (much like 2020) that we can not understand. It may appear as though God is not still working out his divine, perfect plan, or that God has gone back on his word. This week, as I was taking each day to focus in prayer, as God was answering prayers and show me that He was listening, God also had to shake a few things up to show me that although I was focused in prayer over different areas of life he has placed me in, I needed to focus on Him. Did you know that you can train your eyes to improve your vision focus? How intentional in this year of 2020 that we have been presented many opportunities to train our eyes spiritually to focus on God. I pray that in this episode you hear God speaking directly to you

Continuing in our "United in Prayer" focus, God has placed it on my heart to bring a personal aspect of my prayers into the podcast. Unity has been a theme in my studies and as I continue in my current season of singleness I invite you to join me in prayer today. You may be single, married, or even divorced, but I pray that through my testimony God speaks to you through this prayer episode. This theme of unity is evident even in marriage and although you may or may not know your spouse, prayer is one way that you can stand together even when you are not "together".

God has placed it on my heart to join with some very important women in prayer over our country. These women's prayers have impacted my life in such a major way and as God has been reminding me in study this week of the importance of us praying for one another in the body and building one another up, I couldn't think of anyone else to do it with than these women. As we continue to face spiritual warfare and various trials in this season that our country is in, we know that the ultimate constant, God, is still in control. He has been, is, and will always be. I pray that although this year is hard and has been rough, you are blessed by each and every one of these women who have joined with me in prayer over our country and that you are encouraged knowing that God's divine plan for us is still at work even when it doesn't look like it. I encourage you to spend time this week as well, praying for others! The first step is acknowledging and admitting that there is a wound. Over the past 7 days I have been silencing social media and distractions to focus in on getting to the root of some of the internal things I have been working on. As I took time to redirect my focus, God revealed alot to me that I was unaware of and began breaking off chains in my journey. This is a moment of transparency about my struggle with comparison and I pray that this blesses you if this is something you deal with or have been effected by! Lastly, I encourage you to fix your eyes on Him!

This has been a interesting year! God reminded me in study this week that having "2020 vision", also called visual acuity, is not necessarily about seeing perfectly, but more so about seeing clearly. As we have gone through many different processes this year, I want to encourage you to do a vision check. Continue to spend time with your creator. My prayer is that you have a fresh perspective of the vision God has given you and that if anything, you see more clearly through God's lens and have a fresh view of who He is. Stay encouraged knowing that God has not changed and neither has His word or His promises. This year is not over, stand firm in God. Love y'all! #2020vision

In the last two episodes we have been talking a lot about what we consume as believers and the effect that it has on our health spiritually. This week, God has been showing me the importance of having hope, knowing that there is an end goal, and making adjustments needed to continue moving towards what God has called me to. As we continue in our intentional decision making to determine what we will put and allow on our plate, having the right amount of all of the right food and nutritional items is not going to be fully beneficial for our health if we don't "finish the course". Likewise, we have to continue to be aware of what we consume spiritually and maintain obedience in our walk with Christ for our spiritual health. Tune in as I share some of the ways we can be intentional in "choosing our plate" as Christians and finishing each course that we begin.

On the last episode, we talked about the importance of spiritually staying fed and being intentional in what we feed ourselves as we continue to grow and develop in our relationship with God. This week, I wanted to continue in talking about the importance of staying fed by focusing in on our daily intake. Just in case you didn't know, we need God first and more than anything. However, God has also told us what else we need to do in our journey and walk with him. Although making healthy changes may seem overwhelming especially if you don't know what to do or how to start, we have God to help us maintain a healthy, balanced spiritual life. Balance is not about equal amounts of everything but the right amount of the right things. 1)Start with God 2)Be consistent 3)Don't give up. Remember, we have God on our side. Tune in as I share what God has given me concerning our daily intake! P.S. the healthiest choice is always God.

Continuing to feed ourselves spiritually is extremely important. If anything, this time of quarantine has shown us that you can't rely on a Sunday church service. It takes intentionality and discipline on our end to continue to fed ourselves with the things of God and more than anything, God and His word. Although we know we have to eat, sometimes it's just a matter of deciding how and what can help us in our growth to be more effective, efficient, and consistent. I will be sharing some resources that I have used and currently use to continue to grow and stay fed. Be the Change, Part 2

Last week, we talked about our attempt and desire to respond in love during a time such as this where feelings and emotions are all over the place in response to the longstanding issue of systematic racism being brought more apparently to the light. After we acknowledged that there are many emotions we feel and that flesh can get in the way, we were able to take a step back and recognize that we need God's help and that we have to continually run back to God again and again and again for direction. Our conclusion was that we FIRST, start with God. Then, we take time to educate ourselves to receive understanding. Then, we can respond in action through love. Since we have acknowledged that action is required, I want to share how God has helped me in understanding that as we are uniquely created, we all have a different part to play. Understanding how God has created us individually for such a time as this to be a solution to a problem, gives a better understanding of how we can "be the change". As we continue to be and do what God has called and created us to be and do, we will see how he uses each person with their unique differences to make a change as a whole. Below, I have attached the resources mentioned in this episode. Stay encouraged! God is still at work...for you, for me, for US. Love you all -Kea1. Freedom of choice is a beautiful thing that we have been granted, but when we make the wrong choice...it gets complicated. Although God has given us freedom to choose, in this episode we are talking about not having an option in obedience. If God asks us or tells us to do something, we need to do it. It's not an option rather it's the only option we have. We never know what's on the other side of our obedience... but God does. This is where we have to trust that God knows and do exactly what He said regardless of if we don't know why in the moment. Tune in as I share in how God has reminded me that obedience is key.

God has prepared us for such a time as this and is guiding and directing us in our understanding of what He needs from us during this time.
