Hi! I'm Ted, I'm 24 and I go to a lot of concerts. I'm going to use this podcast to talk about some of the shows I go to or have been to in the past. It's mostly just going to be me rambling about my experience, anything outstandingly cool that happened at the show, and my thoughts on the venue. Pleā¦
Checking out a new (to me) metalcore band.
Got to see one of my favorite pop punk bands in a super tiny venue, and got introduced to one of my new favorite bands.
Seeing a band I've never heard of at a venue I've never been to. Actually turned out really well.
Got to see one of the dates on the first ever Sad Summer Festival, hopefully this festival can keep going and fill the void of Warped Tour
After seeing Pronoun open on the Aaron West tour a few months ago, she announced a CD release show in Brooklyn that happened to coincide with a trip I was already making to CT.
Finally got to see Anberlin, one of the first alternative bands I got into back in 2008ish. They split up before I ever got to see them live and they got back together at the end of 2018
Finally got to see Emarosa again after several years and got a lovely surprise that Selfish Things got added to the bill
2 day festival to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Warped Tour.
Two back to back Aaron West shows. Totally different venues and experiences. Such a cool project.
Got to catch Sum41 on their small venue tour. One of the best shows I've ever seen.
Two Marianas Trench shows, different openers.
Caught two Fever 33 headlining shows during my 2 week roadtrip thing.
Got to sit down and chat with an old friend of mine who's in a band called Escape the Paradigm.
Got relatively cheap pit tickets to see Shinedown in Indianpolis. Yungblud was the support band and they were really good too.
Going back and re recording an episode that I never aired cause it was terrible. Also I was wrong about what week shows were, so I didn't actually have a new one for this week.
Third show in a row going just for an opener.
Got to see Don Broco play an opening set in Worcester. They absolutely killed it. Also my first time at the Worcester Palladium, so I spend about half the episode talking about that.
Hey I'm back! It's been a while but I'm back with a new episode and hopefully we'll be back to a regular schedule soon! Anyway, saw an awesome young canadian band in Boston a few weeks ago and they killed it.
Flogging Molly always puts on an epic show and this was my first time seeing them headline since their new album came out.
Saw Four Year Strong and Smith and Myers (of Shinedown) play some rare, and totally awesome, acoustic shows.
I said I wasn't going to do this episode but these shows were epic and I had a lot to talk about. Also it helped me cope with this amazing tour being over.
Finally "caught up" on 2018. As in this is the last 2018 episode I have recorded at the moment. 2019 coming next week! Also this was a great show, getting to see a band that had essentially broken up and I was unaware they were active again.
Streetlight always put on a killer show. Caught two album anniversary shows for two different albums a few weeks apart.
Really awesome show. I knew Broadside from the Get Free tour, and I discovered Sleep On It at warped tour. With Confidence was a complete unknown but they turned out really awesome.
Atreyu puts on such a fun show. 2018 is over but I still have a bunch of shows to upload. Whoops.
Looking at some summary stats for 2018 and looking forward to 2019.
My first true ska show.
Worst show I've ever been to, listen to me rant about it and say bullsh*t 400 times.
Robert joins me for another episode and we talk about his Blink-182 pilgrimage to San Diego and him seeing Blink play two shows in Vegas this November. Also all sorts of other random nonsense.
Part 2, and a good deal shorter this time, sorry about the last one ya'll. Great "end" to the tour. Can't wait for it to swing back around in January. Also did VIP one night and got a little arts and craftsy.
Silverstein went on tour to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their first record (When Broken is Easily Fixed). They have Hawthorne Heights on as support and an awesome new band Capstan as an opener.
Attempted to go to 10 shows in 10 days. 3 of them were on the Mayday Parade tour, so let's talk about them.
Saw my 100th show of my life, The Wonder Years, in Huntington NY. Also did VIP and it was a bit different from the standard VIP package.
Saw Good Charlotte 3 times on their Generation Rx 2018 tour. Got introduced to a new band called Knuckle Puck.Philly show: first 35 minutesSyracuse : 35-50 minNew York: 50- end
In Memory of Oli Herbert (All That Remains lead guitarist). Talking about the 3 times I saw All That Remains
Very special episode. My good friend Robert joins me for a chat. We talk about his musical upbringing and concert history as well as some shows that we've seen together. We do get a bit off topic from time to time but I think we did pretty well. But I think the audio is decent for being a recorded phone call.
Got to see my favorite new band open up for Mike Shinoda at a sick new venue. Spent an hour after the show to get to chat with them and ended up getting kicked out of the venue WITH the band!
Another episode of rambling about podcasts. I mean concerts. Also my 50th show of the year!
Unintentionally really long episode. I talk about seeing the same show two days in a row. Discovering new bands and supporting local acts.
First episode where I talk about 2 shows in one. Same show, different days. Started some one-man mosh pits, had some really cool interactions with band members. EDIT: The local band that played in Hartford was called The Days Ahead.
Saw the Fever 333, a relatively new band from Inglewood, California. Still learning how do to do this podcast, so bear with me please (or just skip to a better episode!)
This is the first episode I recorded so it's pretty rough. I still don't know what I'm doing. Also I forgot about keeping these clean so whoops. I saw Atreyu at an essentially secret show in Brooklyn, NY.
Hi everyone, just a "quick" intro to me and the podcast. Send Feedback to ramblingaboutconcerts@gmail.com
