"How long am I supposed to stay on this medication?" If you're on a GLP-1, you've asked yourself this question, and you probably haven't said it out loud. In this final episode of the GLP-1 series, I'm answering the questions nobody prepares you for: what to do when the weight loss stops, how to know when you're ready to taper, why food noise comes back louder, and why some women regain the weight (it's usually not the reason you think).IN THIS EPISODE, YOU'LL LEARN:Why "how long do I stay on this?" is the wrong question, and the four better questions to ask insteadHow to find your natural weight versus a "GLP-1 weight," and why you can't fully trust your body's signals while the medication is on boardThe most common plateau mistake (going straight to a dose increase) and what a plateau is actually telling youWhat "unintentionally undernourished" looks like in real life: the protein coffee, the grab-and-go protein bar, the afternoon grazing, the dinner overeatingWhy eating MORE can restart your weight loss, and what your ancestors' DNA has to do with itThe 5 questions to honestly ask yourself before you taper, including protein targets and progressive overloadWhat food noise really is (hint: sometimes it's stress, boredom, or fatigue asking for something that isn't food)The real reasons women regain weight after a GLP-1, and why muscle is your number one protectionThe intentional medication breaks strategy that can increase your sensitivity and keep you at the lowest effective doseTIMESTAMPS:00:00 The question you're afraid to ask out loud 02:18 Where NOT to get your GLP-1 (and why there's no such thing as an over-the-counter GLP-1) 05:59 There is no universal timeline: the better questions to ask 08:50 Natural weight vs. GLP-1 weight 12:37 Why weight loss never gives you the feeling you're chasing 13:50 Plateaus: before you call for a dose increase 17:09 Unintentionally undernourished: a day in the life 20:30 Why eating more can restart your progress 22:56 Are you ready to taper? 5 honest questions 27:43 Food noise: river vs. tidal wave 31:33 Why women regain the weight 35:20 The real goal (and the medication break strategy no one talks about) 37:38 The nurse-led GLP-1 programRESOURCES:
Empowered Relationship Podcast: Your Relationship Resource And Guide
Do you feel miles apart from your partner—even though you still love each other deeply? Many long-term couples gradually drift into a "roommate" dynamic: life feels stable, the relationship is intact, but something vital is missing. Over time, habits and strategies designed to avoid conflict and maintain harmony can quietly diminish the spark, intimacy, and passion that once brought you together. In this episode, you'll discover why emotional distance often develops in otherwise loving relationships and what it takes to reconnect. Through fresh insights, relatable examples, and practical guidance, this conversation explores how the pursuit of stability can sometimes come at the expense of closeness. You'll learn why deeper intimacy requires a willingness to tolerate vulnerability, uncertainty, and emotional risk—and how embracing those challenges can strengthen your bond. Whether your relationship feels mildly disconnected or stuck in a long-standing rut, you'll come away with actionable tools and new perspectives to help reignite passion and create a more meaningful connection. Dr. Bruce Chalmer is a psychologist and couples therapist with over 30 years of experience helping partners navigate the complexities of long-term relationships. Drawing on clinical insight, real-world compassion, and a deep understanding of how intimacy and anxiety intertwine, Dr. Chalmer has guided countless couples through the challenges explored in his books, video courses, and posts. With his wife, Judy Alexander, he is also the co-host of the podcast Couples Therapy in Seven Words and a trusted voice in relationship education. Episode Highlights 04:30 How couples grapple with the competing needs for both stability and intimacy—and why this paradox lies at the heart of lasting relationships. 06:42 What often surprises couples in therapy and how rethinking "conflict" can actually bring unexpected relief and clarity. 11:22 How the pursuit of stability can slowly erode intimacy and why some couples find themselves drifting into "roommate mode" without realizing it. 15:15 Real-life examples of couples who deeply love each other but have quietly slipped into a routine that lacks real connection. 16:11 How fears—both known and hidden—can keep us from bringing up tough topics and leave couples feeling stuck. 22:15 Hidden anxieties that might be holding them back, especially for men. 23:51 What makes couples therapy so intimidating for so many. 27:26 How finding meaning—even in moments of anxiety—can shift your entire experience of relationship struggles. 31:08 How facing relationship challenges together can lead to a new sense of gratitude and growth that endures—even if the outcome isn't what you expected. 37:55 Practical guidance on taking safe, manageable steps toward greater connection. 39:18 How embracing curiosity, support, and small risks can foster hope, healing, and renewed passion in your relationship. Your Checklist of Actions to Take Pause and Breathe: Take a moment to ground yourself with deep breaths before entering important conversations to increase presence and reduce anxiety. Get Curious, Not Panicked: Approach difficult topics with curiosity instead of fear, reminding yourself that discomfort does not signal dysfunction. Acknowledge and Validate Fears: Recognize your own and your partner's fears as legitimate rather than dismissing them, creating a safer environment for vulnerability. Define Desired Change: Together with your partner, clarify what "better" would look like in your relationship, orienting focus toward shared goals. Risk Small Vulnerabilities: Start by sharing a small, meaningful feeling or need with your partner, even if it feels scary, to practice intimacy in manageable doses. Reflect on Meaning and Purpose: Remind yourself of the value and meaning of your relationship, which can help bolster courage to tolerate uncertainty and discomfort. Use Support Systems: Consider seeking guidance from resources like books, video courses, or a trusted couples therapist to experience new ways of connecting. Celebrate Progress: After taking interpersonal risks, acknowledge positive outcomes and growth, reinforcing your willingness to keep stretching toward greater intimacy. There's a particular kind of exhaustion many leaders and high performers quietly normalize over time. Not because they lack resilience or work ethic, but because constant urgency, nonstop communication, increasing expectations, and blurred boundaries slowly become part of the work culture itself. In this episode of The Dr. Ginny Show, Dr. Ginny Baro sits down with Amy Pierre-Russo, Certified Life & Leadership Coach and former HR leader, for an honest conversation about the leadership habits quietly shaping employee experience, workplace culture, and the way teams experience work today. As organizations continue navigating AI disruption, leaner structures, caregiving responsibilities, economic uncertainty, and rising demands, many employees and leaders are carrying far more than most workplaces fully recognize. From this conversation, you will gain insight into:What happens when constant availability becomes normalizedWhy support systems matter more than we give it credit How intentional leadership can positively influence workplace culture over timeIf you are leading teams, navigating organizational change, supporting employees through demanding seasons, or trying to create healthier and more sustainable leadership rhythms, this conversation will likely feel very familiar.About Our Distinguised Guest: Amy Pierre-Russo is a Certified Life & Leadership Coach who helps women move from hustle to harmony by creating work-life rhythms that feel aligned, sustainable, and fulfilling. Her passion for this work grew from years in Human Resources, where she saw how often professionals, especially moms, were stretched thin trying to “do it all.”
Most force‑free dog trainers are finding it increasingly hard to attract clients. They are passionate, educated and deeply committed to canine welfare - yet their businesses struggle. Not because they're not good enough, but because their judgyness of dog owners is quietly telling great prospective clients to f**k off. Without meaning to do so, many trainers are saying “you and I are not a good fit – go work with someone else.” Today, we explore how the way you talk about ‘ideal clients' and commitment can accidentally leave well-meaning dog owners feeling judged and not good enough. You'll see how certain phrases, website copy, and enquiry processes act like a big ‘keep out' sign and what to do instead so the right people actually lean in. Expect uncomfortable truths, relatable confessions, and practical mindset shifts you will be able to immediately apply to your messaging, sales calls and offers. KEY TAKEAWAYS Hidden judgement in your marketing copy, policies, videos, and website quietly tells great prospects to go elsewhere - long before they even speak to you. Most dog owners say “obedience” because that's all they've ever heard. It's a knowledge gap, not them being arseholes and "bad" owners. If you only speak to “ideal clients,” you shrink your pool down to a handful of already‑converted unicorns. Demonstrate how you work and your philosophy using stories and examples. This, attraction marketing approach ensures people don't feel shamed by your content. You're not in the business of dogs, you're in the business of people - meet people where they're at to help more dogs, earn more, and resent your clients a hell of a lot less. BEST MOMENTS “A lot of us are unintentionally telling prospective clients to f**k off.” “The more invested, more passionate we get, the harder it is for us to understand what it feels like to be a dog owner, and this is where that resentment of people comes in.” “You're failing the people if you don't meet them where they're at, and you don't acknowledge that their knowledge level is very different to yours.” “If we've done the judgy thing, not necessarily in person to them, but through our messaging and through our marketing…you actually turn people off.” “People skills are something we have to keep working on.” “You can be passionate without being a judgy carrot.” Make sure you check out CBA Live - THE business event for force-free dog trainers and behaviourists. The Insight Series with Charlie Maughan – How parents form confidence - and what it means for your marketing strategy – The Reality In this episode of the Insight Series, Charlie examines why schools do not usually lose enrolments because they lack visibility, but because prospective parent confidence has been gradually worn away. As part of the Insight Series on how parents form confidence, he explores how inconsistent messaging, unclear differentiation, unsupported claims and internal misalignment can create doubt at key points in the enrolment journey. Charlie also explains why simply producing more content or launching more campaigns will not solve the problem when the signals parents receive from your school are mixed. There isn't usually a moment where you decide to lose yourself. It happens gradually. Subtly. Almost intelligently. You adjust. You accommodate. You turn the dial down on parts of yourself to make things work - relationships, expectations, responsibilities, comfort. Over time, what once felt like alignment starts to feel like distance. In this episode, we're talking about the dial—how women slowly disconnect from themselves without realizing it, why it makes sense that it happens, and what it actually takes to turn it back up.Interested in The Immersion Collection? In this episode of Two Pastors and a Mic, we kick off a brand new conversation about something many Christians never stop to question: what if some of the behaviors we've called “spiritual maturity” are actually survival patterns? We talk about three reasons churches often unintentionally reward unhealthy patterns, not because leaders are malicious, but because many of us were formed by the same systems ourselves. From self-shrinking that looks like humility, to overworking that looks like sacrifice, to people-pleasing that looks like love, this episode sets the stage for a deeper series on trauma responses disguised as godliness. If you've ever wondered whether a certain response in your life is actually healthy… or just familiar… this episode is for you.In this conversation, we cover:Why survival behaviors can look like spiritual maturityHow churches often reward what keeps systems stableWhy many leaders unknowingly reinforce the same unhealthy patterns they were taughtHow Jesus modeled security, wholeness, boundaries, and honestyWhy healing is not about becoming less spiritual, but more honestThis episode is a bridge into a new series where we'll unpack common Christian behaviors and ask: is this actually godly, or is it a trauma response?00:00 - Intro & Podcast Updates01:03 - Indiana Sports Talk02:20 - The 2:6 Life Recap02:58 - New Series: Godly Thought or Trauma Response?03:54 - Why Churches Reward Survival Patterns04:58 - Reason 1: Survival Behaviors Look Spiritual09:53 - Reason 2: Churches Reward What Keeps Things Stable11:53 - Reason 3: Leaders Were Formed by the Same Patterns15:23 - Jesus as the Model of Secure Wholeness16:25 - The Real Question: Survival or Spirituality?16:57 - Why This Series Matters18:27 - Next Week: False Humility & Receiving Affirmation20:31 - Closing Encouragement

Pastor Andy Cass We all crave something—and whatever we crave is shaping our lives more than we realize. Welcome back to Is It Worth It?, the show where Logan bravely sacrifices his free time, sanity, and occasionally his snacks—just so YOU don't waste two hours on a movie you'll regret. Today we're diving into “The Roses” (2025)… a film that has the internet saying everything from “cinematic masterpiece” to “I've never been so emotionally confused in my life.”In today's episode, we break down:
Is work, people, or other things getting you down? Is there a way out of that holding pattern? Holding out hope for change might not be the best way forward.

Social osmosis is (for this conversation) the way attitudes, beliefs, emotions, values, behaviours, language and norms seep into us simply by being around people - without us choosing, trying, or even noticing. It's not a 'real' term (in psychological literature) but it's a real part of the human experience. It’s a Craig-ism. I guess it's kind of like psychological second-hand smoke. You don't decide to inhale or absorb it, you just do. Unintentionally. Unconsciously. For better or worse. Have you noticed how just being around some people is literally good for your physical, mental and emotional health? Even if you don't say anything? There's definitely some kind of energetic exchange happening. This conversation with Tiff is one of my all-time Craig-Tiff favourites. Enjoy.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Least of These. It's easy to get overwhelmed by the suffering in the world. Unintentionally, we can become numb to the suffering simply because we are inundated with so much of it. But it is clear in Matthew 25 that to serve the hurting is to serve Christ.
We are back answering your submitted questions. This week we answer: Has BNi unintentionally created a culture where some members carry the burden of responsibility for others?

I have to admit, even I got stuck...Recently, I was working on the onboarding journey for my Circle community. What started as a flexible journey inside a Miro board very quickly became a complex map that became impossible to use. With every new insight we wanted to add came questions about where it should go and how it should be defined. Due to these meta-level questions, we lost momentum, and the entire process slowed to a halt. Unintentionally, I had created a journey structure that was simply too complex to be useful in practice.Finding the right balance between structure and flexibility, as well as richness and overview, in your journeys is a challenge many of us face. That's why it's the next big problem we tackle in our Journey Management Playbook series. In the past episodes, we've used AI to generate a journey and then verified it to build trust. Now, we need to make it truly manageable. The core issue is that we often treat journey maps as containers for all information, when their true power lies in driving action. So, as we've said often, we need to shift our mindset from "journey mapping" to "journey management".The key is a simple yet powerful framework for structuring your journey. * What if the most effective journey had a specific, limited number of lanes?* What if there was a rule for how many steps you should have (maximum)?* What if there was a simple way to handle complexity without cluttering your main map?In this episode, Tingting reveals the proven framework that helps you answer these questions. With this framework, you'll be able to transform your map from a static document into a practical tool that teams can use to make informed decisions.Heads-up, this is another deep-dive where we get into the nitty-gritty details. We spend a lot of time sharing our screen, so if you're listening to the audio-only version, I highly recommend opening the accompanying slides to follow along visually. We've also included timestamps in the description, so you can easily jump back to a specific topic later on.Be well, ~ Marc--- [ 1. Today on the Matt Walsh Show, there were a lot of cringy moments at this year's Olympics, but none more excruciating and hilarious than the woke Australian PhD student who somehow made it into the breakdancing competition despite having no idea how to breakdance. This story is very funny, but also instructive. We'll talk about it. Also, JD Vance runs the gauntlet of Sunday interview shows and puts on a masterful display. MSNBC tries to explain why Tim Walz is a great guy, rather than a weird creep, for putting tampons in the boys' bathroom. And Joe Rogan gets canceled again--but this time by some influencers on the Right. What did he do to provoke their wrath?
