Some want Matt Rempe in, and some don't. Jerry is here for his first update of the morning and starts with the Yankees beating the Mariners as Giancarlo Stanton hit a HR. Boomer predicts Luis Gil will win the CY Young. The Tigers broadcast had some technical issues and it sounded like 1920's baseball. There was an interesting guess on the Wheel of Fortune: ‘Right in the butt?' Daniel Jones talked about his health and when he'll be ready to go. Aaron RODGERS was on with Adam Schein and talked about the Jets owing the NFL some prime time games. Jaylen Brown had a big game for the Celtics as they beat the Pacers. Boomer doesn't care. The Oilers beat the Stars in double OT. In the final segment of the hour, we're looking for Larry in Indiana who told us he was coming today. We ran into Eric LeGrand yesterday at the Iron Whale in Asbury Park.

Jerry has the sounds of the Yankees win as Luis Gil dominated again. A player on the Dolphins found an iguana in his toilet bowl and it's not his. Charles Barkley is not thrilled with the direction TNT is going: ‘morale sucks'. Gio is sick of hearing about Inside The NBA ending. He said the Beatles are not breaking up. In the final segment of the hour, the Mayor of Belmar joined us at D'Jais.  Hour 3 The Mayor of Belmar has no idea who Al is and Al said maybe he'll run for Mayor. Boomer ran into Jerry's mom and said she's ‘hot'. We heard there might be a wet t-shirt contest during Evan and Tiki today, but it will likely involve Shaun Morash in the wet t-shirt. We want to do a golf makeover with Jerry. Jerry returns for an update but first he is named NJ Italian Sportscaster of the Year presented by the NJ legislature. The Yankees won again thanks to another great performance by Luis Gil. Aaron RODGERS was on with Adam Schein and said love him or hate him, people like to watch him play football. Stephen A. Smith wants time off and does not want long NBA series. In the final segment of the hour, Gio is playing guitar with the band.  Hour 4 Boomer is not going to the Rangers game tonight, instead he's watching from home with his phone on silent. We will have to wait and see if Matt Rempe will be in the lineup. If he's in, somebody has to come out. Jerry returns for his final update of the day, but first Gio pumps up the crowd with some D'Jais dance music. We talked about the times we've seen Boomer drunk. Not often at all, but always memorable. Jerry does a brief preview of tonight's games including the Rangers, Mets and Yankees. The NJ post-grunge band Baron Praxis recently sent me some wave files of their 2023 EP Ecocidal; and I was hooked after listening to the first twenty seconds of lead single “Nice To Meat You” … thanks in part to that heavy, dirty bass line! Chuck Lambert Interview Chuck's musical education started long before he picked up a guitar. At age eight, he studied oboe and piano.  Four years later his godfather exposed him to the musical diversity of Caribbean culture and encouraged him to play guitar.  While in high school he played bass and guitar in small R&B combos, rubbing elbows and jamming with future members of Parliament Funkadelic. While attending Lafayette College in the early 70's, he was a member of the Tim McCabe Blues Gang. The band's primary function was that of a backup band for touring blues legends on the East Coast college circuit. It was then that he was able to play for legends John Lee Hooker, J.B. Hutto and Screamin' Jay Hawkins. He also gained valuable exposure playing college parties and small clubs in the Delaware River Valley. Most recently, Chuck has been playing guitar and singing his blues for crowds up and down the Jersey Shore, Philadelphia New York City and metropolitan New York areas while always returning to play venues in his hometown of Red Bank, NJ. As a member of the Norman Seldin Big Band, The Panama Chapel Band, The Cal Vetrane Blues Band, The Haugenes Project and a guest artist with The Red Bank Blues Band, Heavy Soul, Herd of Blues, Al Holmes and The Tribe, Poppa John and The Jam Band he has lent his vocal talents and guitar to many a fantastic night.  Chuck has led the band as they opened for popular artists such as Little Feat and Kenny Wayne Shepard. The band has performed in prestigious musical venues like NJPAC, The Count Basie Theatre and SOPAC. They have performed at Le Festiblues International de Montreal; The Riverhead Blues Festival in Riverhead L.I.; The Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival at Six Flags Great Adventure, Freehold NJ; The Westfield Jazz & Blues Festival in Westfield NJ; The Red Bank Jazz & Blues Festival, Riverfest and The Jazz in the Park Series in Red Bank NJ; The Clearwater Festival at Gateway National Park at Sandy Hook NJ and Asbury Park NJ; The Blues by The Beach Concert Series in Long Branch NJ and represented The Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation in 2007 and 2013 at The International Blues Competition held in Memphis Tenn.   For more on Chuck Lambert-https://www.chucklambert.com/schedule  

We end our series of albums released 50 years ago in 1973 with an artist who released two albums in 1973. Bruce Springsteen released "Greetings from Asbury Park NJ" in January 1973 and he released our spotlight album "The Wild, the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle" in November of '73.

This episode is part of a research study being conducted by The Neoliberal Corporation and Rev. Renaldo McKenzie towards a final project on “Privilege, Power, Position and Status… exploring the strategies of power to establish, extend or maintain its hegemony or position, and the problem this poses for society. We explore answers to the issue concerning whether there was a Democratic Plot to win the 2020 US Elections And are the GOP Justified In Pressing to limit mail, early in-person and Election Day voting? After the 2020 US elections, there has been approximately 250 - 425 new laws have been
proposed by the GOP in 43 - 49 states to limit mail, early in-person and Election Day voting, after the unsuccessful attempts by Donald Trump and various other Republican officials to overturn it on allegations of voter irregularities which they could not prove. However, sometime after the elections, in November 2020, I made an anecdotal discovery about how some people voted and wondered if that justified the need for some Republicans who are seeking through the Courts to strengthen election laws surrounding voter identification that some Democrats and Activists call voter suppression. So I decided to do some digging and made an interesting discovery, that I had initially published as a Conspiracy Theory in an article in The Neoliberal Commentary. But if truth be told, it was never a conspiracy theory but based in unverified facts lacking academic research and rigor as it was from a few sources. So, I decided to conduct a deeper study through ethnographic, mixed with some journalism investigation methods. The Neoliberal Corporation (and as part of my research at Georgetown) embarked on a study to explore this conjecture or hypothesis couched in the aforementioned article, that I will outlay later in this commentary. According to Amy Gardner, Kate Rabinowitz and Harry Stevens in a story published in the Washington Post, “The GOP's national push to enact hundreds of new election restrictions could strain every available method of voting for tens of millions of Americans, potentially amounting to the most sweeping contraction of ballot access in the United States since the end of Reconstruction, when Southern states curtailed the voting rights of formerly enslaved Black men, a Washington Post analysis has found.” Voting laws proposed by Republicans in 43 states would limit voter access - Washington Post. It was six months after the 2020 US elections and a group of us, at The Neoliberal, conducting anthropological and investigative research for a story we are working, was in-between New York, Philadelphia and D.C. neighborhoods living in and going to street corners, community centers and homes to have conversations with some of the men we had formed (anthropological) friendships and relationships with, as we get to understand their voting behaviors and patterns and political interests, given the new inability to scrutinize voting with COVID-19 fears and this practice of social distancing. It was not the traditional way Americans voted which was at the public polling centers. In 2020, most of the voting took place within the homes and ballots were mailed-in boxes. We rapped with the guys on the corners within these locals-Asbury Park NJ, Philadelphia (North, South, Northeast and west), D.C (Prince George) and NYC (Harlem, Bronx and Brooklyn) days and evenings, in hoodies and skullies as if we were one with “them” on the corners, and we found out quickly what we could use to connect with the people in our study, The issue is that “Absentee Ballots” and or “Mail-in Ballots” or “Drop-Boxes” create problems for Democracy. Since Black men and young people don't vote as much, but their Mammas do, who were influenced by the “Me too” movement and was already against Mr. Trump who they saw as misogynistic. Matt Pinfield grew up loving all things radio which led to visits to the local AM station WCTC in New Brunswick at the age of ten, where he would sit in with the patient and supportive night jock, giving him the chance to learn everything he could about being a DJ and being on the radio. When Matt turned sixteen, he had his first chance to do a real live radio show on the Rutgers University radio station WRSU, where he would later become promotions director and music director. He also did summer shows on Princeton University's WPRB in the early '80s. Now with real on-air experience, Matt looked to the next level, which was getting a job at a commercial radio station.Matt got that chance in 1984, as a weekend/overnights/fill-in jock at WHTG- FM in Asbury Park NJ in 1984. He embraced the opportunity he had been given, and soon enough he secured a regular midday slot, quickly followed by the coveted afternoon drive. Matt's reputation as the most knowledgeable and respected music personality at the station led to a dramatic increase in listenership and helped put WHTG on the national map as one of the first alternative music stations anywhere, leading to the worldwide alternative music revolution to come in the early 90s.His next promotion took him to the position of Music Director at WHTG. During his tenure, his talent and personality were recognized by his peers and he was awarded the Gavin Award for Commercial Alternative Music Director of the Year back to back in '92 and '93, the first time anyone who was not in a major market had won the award. In early 1994, he was promoted to Program Director at WHTG.With his talent, personality and unmatched enthusiasm for music now making waves on a national level, he was approached by MTV, and they quickly recognized Matt was the right person to join their global brand. In ‘93, Matt did his first on-air MTV hosting on the show “120 Minutes” as a fill- in. Although he didn't get hired as the permanent host at that time, it was clear that this would be inevitable when a permanent slot opened up. No one knew the alternative music scene more thoroughly, or was respected more by the artists.In January of '95, Matt was named Manager of Music Programming for MTV, and was one of the committee of 10 who picked and programmed the videos and created specials for the channel in one of their most influential periods. Just months later, Matt was asked to start hosting “120 Minutes”, the cutting edge alternative music program on MTV.Due to his vast musical knowledge and relatable delivery, MTV research soon showed he was MTV's most loved and respected VJ. This quickly led to a dramatic expansion of his on-air responsibilities to include over the next 5 years over 15 regular shows, over 100 specials, and used his style as the template for the original MTV2 (M2), where he became that channel's first VJ.In the spring of '96. Howard Stern suggested that WXRK in New York City flip format from Classic to Modern Rock and asked them to hire Matt.Although they wanted him to do afternoon drive, because of his growing MTV schedule, he ended up doing a 4-hour free form New Music/Classic show called “The Buzz” which ran until the station changed format in the mid-2000s. Pinfield continued to do the show when he left MTV to move to LA in 2000 to broadcast from K-ROCK LA's studios. Matt's move to LA was to host and write the USA network TV show “Farmclub.com” which was on TV from 2000-2001 where A-list artists played live alongside unknowns who uploaded their music to the show's website. Interscope CEO and show creator Jimmy Iovine said, “it was a great show and idea…think Myspace and Facebook but way ahead of its time, when no one had broadband.”When the show finished, Matt moved back to NYC and was named Vice President of A&R and Artist Development for Rock at Columbia Records where he signed and oversaw the making of many gold and platinum recordsbetween 2001-2006.Matt continued hosting “The Buzz” on WXRK, New York, and was then hired to do the first weekly music interview show in HD by Marc Cuban for HDNET. “Sound Off With Matt Pinfield” lasted 4 seasons and featured interviews with artists from every music genre-Rock, Pop, Country, Hip-Hop, Jazz, andR&B.In May of 2008, Matt started doing morning drive for WRXP in NYC, a new station that fused modern and classic rock and remained with the station until it changed ownership and format in June 2011. In July 2011, MTV brought back Matt's signature show and changed the name to “MTV2's 120 Minutes With Matt Pinfield”. The show's return met with praise from over 250 publications and websites including The NY Times, The LA Times, Entertainment Weekly and Hollywood Reporter. The show aired weekly on Fridays.Matt has continued to host radio shows and specials for SiriusXM since 2003 on the Lithium, First Wave, Left Of Center (now SiriusXMU), and Volume channels. In 2014,
he was elected to the Board of Governors of the Recording Academy and Grammys where he worked to help pass legislation on artists' songwriting and performance fair royalties compensation. He remained on the board until he moved to San Francisco to do the morning show on legendary rock station KFOG during 2016-17.Matt is the host of the classic rock history syndicated weekend radio show “Flashback” for Cumulus Radio Networks which airs on over 200 stations in the U.S. and Canada including KLOS in Los Angeles and KSAN in San Francisco. He also produces “The Hivecast with Matt Pinfield” which is a free podcast through iTunes and MTVHIVE.COM. Matt started a live streaming show to benefit MusiCares for the COVID-19 pandemic, called “In A Lonely Place with Matt Pinfield” featuring conversations with artists as diverse as Foster The People and Yungblud.Allison Hagendorf is the Global Head of Rock at Spotify, host of the brand new show on Spotify called Rock This, with Allison Hagendorf as well as a national television host/live announcer and music journalist. She is the official host of the world's most famous New Year's Eve celebration, Times Square New Year's Eve, seen by more than a billion television viewers across the globe. Allison also serves as the Live Announcer for both the MTV Video Music Awards and MTV Movie Awards, and is the host of Refinery29's “Be A Badass” series, The CrossFit Games Live Show, and The X Games Live on ABC and ESPN.Allison began her entertainment career in A&R at Sony Music's Columbia Records and Epic Records. She recruited new talent globally, and oversaw the album production for many artists including metal band, Lamb of God, whose single “Redneck” received a Grammy nomination for “Best Metal Performance.”Hagendorf then transitioned from working with bands in the studio to interviewing them on-camera. She hosted the live primetime music competition show on The CW Network, “The Next,” which was executive produced by hip-hop icon Queen Latifah, and featured superstar mentors: Gloria Estefan, Joe Jonas, Nelly, and John Rich. Allison also became the main host on Fuse, hosting numerous shows including “Top 20 Countdown” and “Grammys Live,” and traveled with Fuse across the country covering national music festivals such as Bonnaroo, Warped Tour, SXSW Music Festival, and Lollapalooza.She also hosted the first-ever live television broadcast of both The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and The Stagecoach Festival for AXS TV and co-hosted “Music Fridays” with supermodel, Chrissy Teigen, on MSG Network. Additionally, Allison has hosted a variety of shows on both VH1 and The Cooking Channel.Allison is also a health/wellness coach who has inspired thousands in her dual role as rock n roll expert and health advocate. RAY ANDERSEN BIO Ray Andersen grew up in West Orange, New Jersey in the home that legendary songwriters Carole King and Gerry Goffin lived and where some of the masterpiece, "Tapestry" album was written.
