Today we are talking about tip #3 to help you get things done when you might be afraid of failure, which is to, Sleep On It. When you are really worried about something, it is often a good idea to take a step back and to give yourself time to refocus. When you are so involved in your business that you have not had the opportunity to think about anything else all day long, it can become very easy to get lost in all of the things going on within your mind. By giving yourself time to refocus, you can withdraw from everything that is going on and re-approach it later on from a more realistic perspective. Taking some time to sleep on the problem is one of the BEST ways to accomplish this! Before giving up on anything, always make sure to get a good night's sleep and to re-examine the problem or situation again later. You will be amazed at how much clarity this can provide you. In the end, remember that the first step is always the most difficult. If you are experiencing fear of failure, then do not allow this fear to control you! Review all of these 3 tips we have explored, and make an effort to apply each of them to your life. You will be amazed at how a few simple changes can make all the difference, especially in a situation where you need to overcome a fear as common as the fear of failure. We had the opportunity to interview MAKEOUT.Pop-punk phenoms Makeout, have debuted "Home" their first single with new frontman Kyle Dee (formerly a Season 11 American Idol contestant, and lead singer of Chicago mainstays, The Frantic) and bassist AJ Khah (who was previously a member of Sleep On It). Dee and Khah join founding members Tyler Young (Lead Guitar) and Scott Eckel (Drums) for a more mature sounding yet still a super melodic new version of MAKEOUT which should make longtime fans super stoked.Now joined by vocalist/guitarist Kyle Dee and bassist AJ Khah, MAKEOUT is ready to share 'Home', their first new material with the new lineup, and their first new music in almost three years. "We couldn't ask for better new members with the band, and it's really changed the mood moving forward," says Young. "Everybody's gung-ho and onboard and really wants to do this."Producer and manager Matt Holmes describe the making of 'Home' as a unique process: "We were fortunate enough to have Travis Barker and Matt Malpass work with Scott on the drums and programming, which definitely took the songs and production to another level." Barker had a hands-on approach to production, changing song structures and drum parts and even playing on the EP ("Some parts it's hard to tell and some parts it's quite obvious, but he drums a little bit in every single one of those songs," Eckel explains). Years Later, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a 5 piece modern alternative rock band creating music with nostalgic elements they love from the late 90s and 2000s. The group set out to hit the ground running by recording their first two singles in early 2020 with producer Seth Henderson (Knuckle Puck, Real Friends, Sleep On It), and will be returning to record an EP in the Fall. We talk with the band about their recent single releases, "Therapy" and "Complacency." We also talk about the impact COVID-19 is still having on the music industry from music venues to bands compiling music and waiting to release.

You know them. You love them. We got them. Seldom has there been a band with the music writing ability of Sleep On It. These guys broke onto the scene just a few years ago and have had an incredible trajectory since thier conception.
