The main theme this month is Balance & Harmony because we're under the influence of 6 energy. As always, it's an inside job, so your own relationship with yourself is on the table first, then with your physical spaces, your mental space, and with others. I experienced Jimmy's work myself and can attest to the near instant transformation of his breathwork journeys. They are hard work but within just one session I was able to release mountains of grief and reconnect back to peace within myself. In this episode Jimmy shares his remarkable story and the breathwork that ended up not only saving his life but also setting him on this passionate and transformational service path. Jimmy Fisher has lived a life of amazing experiences, whimsical adventures and great relationships, but also lived a life of extreme depression, hopelessness and addiction. He became suicidal and on numerous occasions attempted to take his own life. In 2021 just before Christmas he almost succeeded. Fortunately, he was found outside and resuscitated and placed on life support. He pulled through and spent close to 6 months in the hospital. Physically it cost him dearly: he had half of each foot amputated due to stage 4 frostbite. Mentally he became sicker and even attempted suicide while in the hospital. Emotionally and spiritually he felt completely vacant. He was hopeless and at his wits end. He entered a men's residential recovery center (Freedoms Door) in May of 2022 but was still determined to end his life. He spent the first few weeks hobbling around with big boots on his feet or being confined to bed or a wheelchair. In time he connected to and became inspired by the community. He worked with a counsellor and was able to start releasing some grief, guilt and shame yet still had deep seated feeling of loneliness that had been his permanent fixture since childhood. At his counsellor's encouragement he pursued his passion for breathwork, something he had already been practicing for a couple years. He found it offered temporary relief and began researching more. Whether by chance, by divine intervention or by destiny, he came across these transformational journeys. After doing his first one, he was rocked to the core. It was instant: the hopelessness and the loneliness almost disappeared. His racing mind was quiet and his emotional triggers softened. Believing the whole world needed to know about this profound work and that he wanted to be the one to get it out there. If it could have this effect on him, then imagine the change it could make in so many others' lives. It was the secret sauce. He has been studying Brian Kelly's Breath Master course and has been loving the journey ever since. Jimmy's words: "I no longer feel like I'm in a pit of despair. I no longer feel the obsessive mind of addiction. I'm excited to get out of bed each morning and participate in this world. It's nothing short of a miracle. I believe that breathwork (not just the journeys but daily practice) has the potential to transform your life, not in a year, not in months but immediately."
