Tough topic but very important we discuss the pros and cons of the Charismatic Movement/Baptism of the Holy Spirit In The Church. This is not a judgment on the people involved. I have grown a lot in my faith at Charismatic Churches and those In The movement. I’ve been learning a lot about spiritual theology and exorcism over the past couple months and felt compelled to make a video sharing some of the information Ive learned. I’m happy to hear your feedback.
We must always have an external standard to determine the accuracy of our thinking. We cannot get sucked into the culture of relativism, modernism, and immanantism which hold that there is no such this as absolute truth, and that our standard of truth is found within us (based on our own fickle, whimsical thoughts and feelings). The rule of mass is a scale. We know what something weighs by weighing it ie. Comparing it to an objective standard The rule of length or width is a tape measure or ruler. We know how long something is by measuring it ie. Comparing it to an objective standard. The rule of faith an objective standard to measure if what one believes is true. The Primary Rule of Faith is God. Since God chooses to communicate with us indirectly, we must use 2 Secondary Rules of Faith (that should always coincide). The 2 Secondary Rules of Faith are: (1) Proximate Rule of Faith (Magisterium) (2) Remote Rule of Faith (A) Sacred Scripture (B) Sacred Tradition I. Documents a. Papal Encyclicals b. Writings of the Saints c. Other approved Sacred documents II. Monuments a. Approved Private Revelation b. Sacramentals c. Religious Artwork d. Rituals/Liturgies e. Churches f. Other Sacred monuments Remember, the Magisterium is the servant of Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, not the inventor of it. The Magisterium may clarify teachings, but never contradict or invent them. We are instructed to follow the steps of St Paul. “I have passed on to you, first what I also received.”
Sensual, Appetitive, Intellectual, Volitional
Beatitude means happiness. The “negative” beatitudes teach us Holy Indifference which is critical to our holiness
We need proper authorities to interpret each
Society owes a debt of gratitude to the Church for building the school system, hospitals, government, charities, and the saving of history during the times of barbarian invasions.
Salvation is the only game in town and humility is key. The more room we have in our own glass, the less room for the Lord and His actions and fruits.
John 12:32- “When I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men to myself.”
Our Lady of America had a very special message about St Joseph
“Pro-Choice” is OUT for Christians, Jews, and Muslims Christians, Jews, and Muslims all believe in a transcendent God (differences aside). All believe God sets the standards for what we should believe and how we should act). We do not have a choice in matters of faith and morals. It’s on God’s terms, not our own. So people can say they’re pro-choice, just don’t say your a Christian, Jew, or Muslim because that’s a logical contradiction in terms. You cannot be either of these three faiths and not fully submit to God on His own terms. Be sure to share this video with a friend who needs to understand this concept.
Mary miraculously appeared in Fatima in 1917 and said that the world need to make reparations for all the attacks against her Immaculate Heart. On the first Saturday of every month- go to Confession, receive Communion, pray the Rosary, and meditate another 15 minutes on 1 mystery of the rosary.
3 Explosive Questions for “Bible Only” Christians. (Please be intellectually honest and consider the possibility that your answer might not be a strong one) 1. Who assembled the New Testament and how do we know that person was right with the books and epistles they chose and excluded? 2. Who interprets the Bible? And how do we know that person is right? 3. Where does it say in the Bible that all Christian teachings are explicitly found in the Bible? My commentary: Rarely do “Bible Only” Christians examine their own assumptions and doctrines. Catholics are often bombarded with questions about the Pope, Mary, The Saints, Purgatory, etc but we never get to ask our questioners about the very shaky, illogical premises of “Bible Only” Christianity. There 40,000 different branches of Christianity exist because there are many different topics in which different Christians hold different views. Jesus never handed us a Bible. Nor did Jesus say to make a New Testament. A book cannot interpret itself. Scripture cannot interpret Scripture. Who interprets the Bible and how do we know they are right? where does it say in the Bible that all Christian teachings are found in the Bible? Many of the premises of Bible Only Christianity are logically incoherent.
Big Bang Theory, Space-Time Geometry, getting the definitions right
2 Christian teachings that blew me away: The Mystical Body of Christ and Redemptive Suffering. Learn as much as you can about these two topics.
Get That Statue Through Those Doors Our Lady of America, Pray for us! Things have become so corrupt and impure, WE NEED A MIRACLE! It’s time to rally the troops behind the Blessed Mother. The Blessed Mother miraculously appeared in1959 to Sr Mary Ephrem and made the promise that when the Our Lady of America statue is solemnly processed by the US Bishops through the doors of our National Basilica in Washington DC (Immaculate Conception) this would save our country and more spiritual fruit would result than Fatima and Lourdes combined! I just landed in LaGuardia and I’m making this video at the baggage claim. I just finished listening to the spiritual classic True Devotion to Mary by St Louis de Montfort and it was excellent! I strongly recommend the book and even more strongly recommend the 33-day Consecration to Jesus through Mary.
There are many misconceptions when using the word God. God is not an invisible man, old bearded guy, Flying Spaghetti Monster, pagan god, or supreme being within the universe. God is outside of the universe (space, times, and matter) unlike all the rest of creation. God IS His attributes: Love, Truth, etc. God’s essence is His existence. He is the act of being itself.
We make so many sacrifices for our health and physical fitness. It’s time to step up our spiritual strength!
Become a Spiritual Scoring Machine! We need to wrack up graces, merits, and indulgences to help Christ redeem the world. This is especially directed those consecrated to Jesus through Mary because she is distributing those graces to souls most in need. Everything we do as Christians, we do in Christ. God made the world without us, He will not save the world without us.
The Greatest Scientists ever were Christians! Tag a friend who needs to hear this. Many people use science against God. Not only were some of the greatest scientists ever Christians, many of them were clergy (priests and religious). •Big Bang theorist - Priest- Georges Lemaitre •father of Genetics - Monk- Gregor Mendel •father of Geology - Priest- Nicholas Steno •father of modern Atomic Theory - Priest- Roger Boscovich •Early proponent of the Scientific Method - Friar- Roger Bacon • “Ockham’s razor”- (select the hypothesis with least assumptions) - Friar- William of Ockham •Pioneer of Computer Science- Nun – Sr. Mary Kenneth Keller •Astronomy- The Catholic Church gave more to Astronomy than any institution, for 6 centuries. •Electric Motors- Benedictine Monk – Andrew Gordon
We must learn how to turn all events and circumstances in our lives into occasions for loving God. There are no ordinary moments. Every moment and every interaction is an encounter with Jesus Christ.
Self-Esteem and Self-Image are Garbage! Do not trust yourself! Isn’t it strange that our generation puts more emphasis on self-esteem and self-image than ever before, yet it’s our generation with the highest levels of depression, substance abuse, and suicide. Coincidence? I think not. The problem: we think it’s all about us. Whatever I want to do. My rights. My choice. My way. Do you see a pattern? It’s the me generation. Our grandparents and great grandparents were taught duty, responsibility, and obedience. The message in our society is entitlement, pamper and spoil ourselves, avoid discomfort, and live larger, after all, you deserve it. We put way too much emphasis on self-esteem and self-image. It’s all about us. So when we make mistakes, get rejected, criticized, fired, broken up with, or are met with life or family problems, we crumble. Because it’s all about me. We fail all the time. We constantly make mistakes. What proof do we have that we should trust ourselves? Proverbs 3:5- Trust in the Lord with all your hearts Jesus to St Faustina- (on the Divine Mercy image) “Jesus I Trust in You.” For true happiness we need to shift the focus away from ourselves. We need to love and get outside of ourselves. Begin to see yourself the way God sees you. Not the way you arbitrarily see yourself. Make this change: Christ-Esteem Christ-Image Christ-Confidence Step outside of yourself
