In January of 2016, Mirna Salihin was catching up with a couple of friends over coffee when things would take an unexpectedly dark turn. Shortly after taking a few sips of her drink, she complained that it tasted bad, before quickly showing seizure-like symptoms and collapsing to the ground. She would then pronounced dead shortly after. But what is perhaps the most mysterious part of this case was the forensic discovery of cyanide inside Mirna's coffee, leading the investigators and everyone else to wonder: who put the cyanide in Mirna's coffee? And how? Tune in to find out more. HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!!! 龙马精神! 马到成功! 新年快乐! It's the time of the year again for red packets, family gatherings, and lots and lots of goodies. But perhaps one of the most fascinating aspects of CNY culture is the myriad of superstitions and beliefs surrounding the holiday. So, why don't we sweep the floor on the first day of CNY? Why don't we use sharp objects? Or why do we try to avoid arguing or insulting others during this period? Is it all just arbitrary myths passed down through generations? Or is there some actual reasoning behind it all? Tune in to find out more. In April 2010, authorities would be called down to a motel in Incheon, South Korea, to witness a strange but unfortunate event. Mr Kim had called in a distressed manner, saying that his girlfriend had become unconscious following a night of drinking and partying in their room. His girlfriend would tragically pass 16 days later from suffocation. But while investigators quickly ruled the case as an accident, the victim's father didn't give up so easily. And after a bit of digging, he would soon discover that what happened to his daughter may not have been an accident at all. Tune in to find out more. Not all heists are created equal. And theft in real life certainly doesn't look as cool as it does in the movies. On the morning of June 12, 2025, authorities responded to a call coming from the suburban district of Bukit Rumbai within Melaka, Malaysia. At the scene, they came across a 17 year old boy outside his home, clearly shaken, who claimed that a robbery had gone horribly wrong. But inside the house, they would find even more tragedy. Some fantasies and urges are better kept locked away inside our heads. But unfortunately, that was not the case for Leonard Lake, an individual with a deeply disturbing childhood, who tormented and assaulted dozens of victims inside a remote bunker; inspired by the novel The Collector. Japan is known for many things, historical sites, beautiful nature, captivating culture; all of which belie something disturbing just beneath the surface. Around train stations in Japan, there are signs warning of "Chikan" or gropers, backed up by harrowing stories of abuse and sexual harrassment. It was a frigid winter's February night in 1978, when five friends from Yuba County, California, vanished without a trace after attending a college basketball game. Their car would later be found abandoned deep in the wilderness of Plumas National Forest, miles off any logical route home. Months later, four bodies would be discovered, in various degrees of distress and starvation. But the fifth man, Gary Mathias, would never found. Decades after their disappearance, the true events of that night remain one of America’s most haunting and debated mysteries. Tune in to find out more. Thailand is known for its rich cultural history and religious practice, particularly surrounding Buddhism. But during the early 20th-century, one monk would emerge and gain infamy in Bangkok, using his knowledge of black magic, love potions, and religious customs to gain followers, ensnare victims, and uproot the very traditions that formed the basis of his faith; himself becoming the folk legend known as Iron-Chest Boonpeng. In 1980, 19 year old Robert Shafran had just started college in New York when he came across a rather unusual predicament. While he was on campus, he was repeatedly mistaken for another student by the name of Eddy Galland. And when they eventually met, the resemblance was eerily uncanny; both had identical features, had the same birthday, shared the same quirks, and were even adopted children. The meeting was so peculiar that it was even publicized on local newspapers and television, which is where things took another strange turn. David Kellman came across the story in the papers, and recognized his own faces. We continue with the case of Cari Farver and her seemingly bizarre actions after her disappearance. Over time, Farver's supposed harassment becomes even more severe, escalating from simple texts and emails to arson, animal abuse, and even an attempted murder. But with the case ongoing as long as it has, it would only be a matter of time before a fresh pair of eyes would catch sight of the oddities in the case, and unravel the whole charade for what it really was. In 2012, Cari Farver left for work early in the morning and bid goodbye to her partner Dave Kroupa, only to never be seen again. Except that Dave would begin receiving strange texts and emails from Cari; initially a request to move in together, but quickly escalating to bouts of anger and verbal abuse. What made this even more bizarre, was that the onslaught of texts would continue over the next four years, and reach not only Dave but also his former partner, and even Cari's own mother. This thus begs the question, where in the world was Cari Farver? And a more chilling thought, was she even the one behind these texts to begin with? Tune in to find out more. In October of 2020, Texas state troopers were on duty when they pulled over a car for erratic driving.
