(Touchstone Pictures DVD Cover)Am 31. Dezember 1999 drehte die ganze Welt am Rad! Was sollte das neue Jahrtausend bringen: Sturmfluten? Former NYC Cop Tony Hernandez is BACK to tell us about all his craziest Mob stories from living and working around organized crime for most of his formative years. Tony dishes on all the neighborhood "Family" businesses, who the key players were and how much of that infrastructure remains. WELCOME TO CAMP!
NEW SEASON OF "PLAYING WITH FIRE" BROUGHT TO YOU BY: Christian Solidarity International (CSI), a Christian human rights organization that advocates for and helps victims of religious persecution, enslavement, victimized children, and victims of natural disasters. In this compelling episode, Billy sits down with Andrew Columbia, a pastor and former NYPD officer, to unravel an extraordinary journey from darkness to deliverance. Andrew's raw, unfiltered testimony takes listeners from his tumultuous days as a "mean, angry, prejudiced cop" in the crack cocaine-fueled chaos of New York City's 80s and 90s, to a life-altering rooftop encounter with God. Experience his "Damascus Road moment," where despair met divine intervention, leaving him transformed and empowered. As Andrew recounts his newfound faith, he shares his immediate, untrained encounters with the supernatural—casting out demons on the streets of New York while on duty. From fingerprinting criminals to exorcising evil spirits during routine patrols, his spiritual awakening brought unexplainable authority and peace. Hear the awe-inspiring accounts of healings and deliverance, including the story of an emotionally disturbed child instantly calmed by a single prayer, leaving educators in disbelief. The conversation delves deeper into Andrew's understanding of spiritual warfare, where his firsthand battles against demonic forces illuminate the very real struggle between good and evil. From casting out high-level demons as a church pastor to wrestling with the powers of darkness in international crusades, Andrew's testimonies challenge the secular dismissal of the unseen realm. His vivid story of a blind man possessed by evil spirits showcases the intense reality of deliverance ministry. The episode crescendos with tales of Andrew's global ministry, including a harrowing experience in Pakistan where he witnessed an overwhelming outpouring of the Holy Spirit amid threats of violence — and a shocking battle over a possessed, blind man.In this eye-opening episode, Billy and Andrew leave listeners with a profound reminder: evil is real, but God's power is greater. Whether you're a believer or skeptic, this episode will challenge, inspire, and encourage you to see the world through a spiritual lens. MORE INFORMATION:- Want to know more? In this conversation, Michael Molthan interviews Brock Bevell, the founder of the Fentanyl Project, who shares his personal journey from addiction to recovery and his mission to educate the public about the dangers of fentanyl. Brock discusses the dual nature of fentanyl, the impact of his undercover work as a police officer, and the awakening that led him to sobriety. He emphasizes the importance of service in recovery and offers insights for families dealing with addiction. In this conversation, Brock Bevell and Michael Molthan delve into the complexities of addiction, focusing on the underlying trauma that often drives individuals to substance abuse. They discuss the importance of addressing unresolved trauma rather than just the addiction itself. The conversation also highlights the critical role of Narcan in preventing overdoses, particularly in the context of the fentanyl crisis, which is affecting youth in alarming numbers. They share personal stories of recovery and emphasize the need for community support and education to combat the opioid epidemic. What sets Michael Molthan - M2 The Rock's story apart is the realization that there wasn't just one rock bottom; there were many. And from those challenging moments, he emerged stronger and more determined than ever. Today, he leverages his personal experiences and magnetic, relatable personality to inspire others to embark on their own transformative journeys. Michael Molthan - M2 The Rock is proof that even in the darkest of times, one can find a path to fulfillment and purpose, using rock bottom as a steppingstone rather than an endpoint. Michael Molthan's mission is to raise the meaning of “Rock Bottom” sharing his relatable stories for everyone by rebuilding the “Spirit, Mind, and Body”. When this is “Out of Order” our life is full of chaos and confusion. Michael Molthan doesn't shy away from talking about his painful past of trauma, drug, alcohol, and work addiction. On his talk show called The M2 The ROCK Show, he interviews inspiring people with inspiring stories. For over 2o years, Michael Molthan has been known as one of the most well-known Luxury Homebuilders in Dallas, Texas - The Park Cities and also in the country until 2009. Michael Molthan finally hit rock bottom. Drugs. Alcohol, and crime. And absolute chaos. He accumulated 27 mugshots in four years and was about to enter a place he swore he would never go: prison. Addiction was Michael's temporary solution to heal from a dark childhood trauma secret. Little did he know that being imprisoned and reading and writing for inmates that could not read or write. On October 13, 2017, Michael was miraculously released 2 years early from prison before completing his sentence. He traveled 300 Miles back to Dallas, Texas, to see Judge Jennifer Bennett to turn himself in. For the first time Judge Bennett could see this miraculous change that had taken place in Michael's life, so she pardoned him and told him to go “pay it forward”. That's what Michael Molthan has been doing for the last 7 years. Michael is the host of The M2 THE ROCK Show, one of the fastest growing shows/podcasts in the country that dives into the topic of self-improvement, spirituality, health, mind, and many more. Actor Alec Baldwin's involuntary manslaughter trial ended in a mistrial last July after the judge determined the state withheld evidence from Baldwin that could have helped his defense. That evidence was a batch of rounds turned over to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office by retired police officer Troy Teske. (*This interview includes a frank conversation about sexual violence*.) A St. John's police officer convicted of raping a woman - "Jane Doe" - while on duty has been released from jail 11 months early. Doug Snelgrove was convicted in 2021, and last month, was granted parole and ordered to remain in his St. John's home. Snelgrove spent about one quarter of his actual sentence in jail. The Parole Board of Canada cited a low risk of reoffending in their decision. Ashley MacDonald, an advocate and sexual violence survivor, was behind the "Thank You Card Project," which sent letters of support to "Jane Doe" during the Snelgrove trial.

In this episode I'm talking to an incredible human being, Shirley Kennett. Shirley is an ex-cop and a former police cadet like me, and she's gone on to do some incredible and amazing things. She talks about policing career and what caused her ill-health retirement, and then what she's gone on to from that point. She's doing some amazing things, and I promise you will not regret listening to this episode. It's just incredible. She really opened up and told me everything, including some of her challenges. This is honestly one of the most emotional and motivating episodes I've ever recorded. A lot more came out after we'd stopped recording and there is other stuff that she's done as well that we forgot to talk about. So, we may well save that for another episode. And she's also agreed to do it as one of the live guests in the academy for us as well. If you'd like to connect with Shirley you can so through:

GDP Script/ Top Stories for June 5th Publish Date: June 5th From the Ingles Studio Welcome to the Gwinnett Daily Post Podcast. Today is Wednesday, June 5th and Happy 52nd Birthday to actor Mark Walhberg. ***06.05.24 – BIRTHDAY – MARK WAHLBERG*** I'm Bruce Jenkins and here are your top stories presented by KIA Mall of Georgia. Ex-Cop Accused of Kidnapping and Murdering 16-year-old Girl Heads to Trial Sex Trafficking Pipeline Runs Through Gwinnett Sex Trafficking Survivors Target Hotels Through Lawsuits Plus, my conversation with Leah McGrath from Ingles Markets on strawberries. All of this and more is coming up on the Gwinnett Daily Post podcast, and if you are looking for community news, we encourage you to listen daily and subscribe! Break 1: MOG STORY 1: Ex-Cop Accused of Kidnapping and Murdering 16-year-old Girl Heads to Trial Former Doraville police officer Miles Bryant is on trial for the kidnapping and murder of 16-year-old Susana Morales in July 2022. Morales disappeared while walking home, and her remains were found months later. Bryant is charged with malice and felony murder, kidnapping, attempted rape, and filing a false report. He declined a guilty plea and opted for a jury trial. Jury selection faced issues after a potential juror shared negative information about Bryant. Initial charges against Bryant for concealing Morales' death and filing a false report were upgraded to include kidnapping and murder. The Doraville Police Department fired Bryant following the charges. STORY 2: HIDDEN VICTIMS: Sex Trafficking Pipeline Runs Through Gwinnett In October 2019, A.L., a 26-year-old woman, escaped from Earnest Bernard Reed, a self-proclaimed pimp, after being trafficked and abused for over two years. Reed, who went by "Sway Huncho," forced her into sex work, subjected her to beatings, and deprived her of basic needs. She managed to call 911 from a hotel when Reed left her alone, leading to his arrest and subsequent 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking. Her case highlights the pervasive issue of sex trafficking in Georgia, affecting people in various settings, including hotels and private homes, with a high incidence in areas like Gwinnett County. STORY 3: Sex Trafficking Survivors Target Hotels Through Lawsuits Survivors of sex trafficking have been suing hotels for allowing their exploitation. Plaintiffs claim hotels ignored obvious signs of trafficking, like high visitor rates and excessive condom use, and sometimes even provided drug paraphernalia. Lawyers Jonathan Tonge and Pat McDonough, specializing in such cases, aim to make ignoring trafficking unprofitable for hotels. They've settled over 50 cases, with 20 ongoing. Legislative changes, like improved "rape shield" laws and a "lookback" period for civil suits, could help survivors. Post-settlement, attorneys like Cheryl Richardson manage survivors' finances to protect them from exploitation and ensure long-term stability. We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Call 770.874.3200 for more info. We'll be right back Break 2: TOM WAGES STORY 4: HIDDEN VICTIMS: The Way Out: How Sex Trafficking Victims Escape and Survive A.L., a 31-year-old sex trafficking survivor, was rescued in 2019 from an Atlanta hotel. For over two years, she was exploited and beaten by Earnest Reed, who profited from her suffering. Reed lured her in with a romantic relationship, then controlled her through violence and manipulation. Police rescued her from a Days Inn after she called 911, escaping while Reed was away. Since then, A.L. has rebuilt her life, found employment, and is raising her son. She lives in another state, free from drugs, and is considering studying criminal justice. Her story underscores the ongoing efforts and challenges in combating sex trafficking and supporting survivors. STORY 5: Former Brookwood Swimmer, SwimAtlanta Coach to Compete on ‘The Bachelorette' Thomas Nguyen, a 31-year-old from Gwinnett and Brookwood High grad, is one of 25 men competing on the 21st season of "The Bachelorette," starring Jenn Tran. Nguyen, who previously swam professionally for the Vietnamese National Team and reached NCAA Division II finals in college, now works as a retirement advisor. Known as Thomas N. from Tucker on the show, he plans to impress Tran with his Vietnamese cooking skills and romantic gestures. Nguyen hopes to find a love as strong as his parents' and is eager to start a family. The season premieres on July 8 on ABC and Hulu. Has policing in America become too militarized and corrupt? Former LEO Dr. Byron Davis pulls back the curtain in this hard-hitting interview. Studio Sponsor: Cardio Miracle - "The finest heart and health supplement in the world!": https://www.briannicholsshow.com/heart Dr. Byron Davis has a unique perspective as both a former law enforcement officer and an activist lobbying for police reform. In this interview, host Brian Nichols digs deep into the root causes behind growing claims of overreach and corruption. What structural flaws allow bad actors to repeatedly infiltrate the ranks? Can citizens really enact change against police unions and entrenched political interests? Davis traces much of today's problems to a lack of proper accountability. Without term limits for appointed positions, cronyism spreads as reform attempts face institutional blockade. He argues everyday citizens can spark real investigations through coordinated FOIA requests - resulting already in some Tennessee resignations and ongoing TBI probes. The controversial policy of civil asset forfeiture demonstrates overfinancialization incentives according to both Nichols and Davis. Designed to hurt drug traffickers, it often ensnares regular citizens carrying cash while providing slush funding for some departments. Complete abolishment legislation could find broad non-partisan appeal. Back the Blue? Davis suggests nationwide training and hiring standards would reduce incidents of misconduct. Culturally, some tradeoff exists between effective interdiction of organized crime and preservation of civil liberties - particularly in jurisdictions along major drug transit routes. Responsible leaders must manage that balance carefully in light of rising cartel infiltration. Overall an insightful look behind the Thin Blue Line with a whistleblower unafraid to call corruption where he sees it. There are glimmers of hope though if enough citizens awaken to diligently exercise their oversight authority starting at the local ballot box. Can the system still reform itself - or is the institutional rot now simply too deep? ❤️ Order Cardio Miracle (https://www.briannicholsshow.com/heart) with code TBNS at checkout for 15% off and take a step towards better heart health and overall well-being!

There's always going to be an opportunity if you educate yourself properly." - Jay London "I don't always remember how I made money, but I never forget how I lost money." - Jay London "You can't just go in and raise rents without doing something to a property.
