Y'all had quite a reaction to this post (see below). Which is great. Because it means we need to talk about it more. In this episode I respond to all the comments from this original post and talk about the differences between western and functional medicine, how infertility is never your fault but also what you can do to be proactive and not be a victim of your diagnosis! Original Post: "90 of chronic diseases can be solved through diet and lifestyle" -The Disease Delusion by Dr. Jeffery Bland This just blew me out of the water AND gave me so much hope because this statistic means you can REVERSE your infertility through diet and lifestyle changes! Why? because food, toxins, our mental health all influences our biological makeup. As a functional medicine fertility coach (candidate) I can help you not only get pregnant but get healthier so you can be 100% for the most challenging experiences your body will ever undertake.Pregnancy. Birth. Motherhood. But first we gotta heal infertility. I do this by figuring out your root cause and what is causing you chronic inflammation or imbalances in your body. This works even if your labs tests have come back great because if you're not getting pregnant naturally, there is something we can do.We get rid of...❌ Diet choices that are CAUSING inflammation❌ Toxins/Antigens❌ Infections❌ Stress, anxiety, depression or other mental and emotional blockers❌ Exercise that isn't working for YOU and YOUR bodyWe add...
Have you gotten a positive pregnancy test and expected to feel hopeful, excited, thrilled, and overjoyed but then also felt anxiety? Yeah. It happens more often than not and is something I coach my clients about. One reason is because we get fed this "Disney" version of fertility, pregnancy and childbirth. In this episode I explain all the reasons WHY this happens, what is going on in your brain so you can gain awareness and know truly nothing has gone wrong.

What is a forced challenge? How is it different from a chosen challenge? A forced challenge is a challenge that you did not choose, like infertility, versus a chosen challenge is a challenge you do choose, like applying for a new job or getting married. The key to overcoming a challenge that is forced upon you is that now you get to choose it. But most of us don't. Most of us fight the challenge and resist it. We believe that infertility shouldn't be happening to us. We think “I just want to be done.” or “Can I relax now?” or “I already have had enough challenges in my life, why this one too.” This is what I thought at the beginning of my infertility journey. Listen to this episode NOW to learn how I changed my mindset and started choosing my challenges, which changed EVERYTHING!Sign up for the support group: www.simplyjewelle.com/supportgroupSign up for a 1-1 Strategy Session: https://simplyjewellelifecoaching.as.me/strategysession

I'm a failure. I have felt this thought so often in my fertility journey from every negative test, to feeling like only 7 embryos out of 18 were fertilized three weeks ago. My clients, and you all, have told me that they feel like a failure all the time, especially when they are in an overwhelming experience. AKA infertility. A failure after an IUI or IVF cycle doesn't work out how they had hoped. My self-confidence went down the drain during infertility. You can't get pregnant. Something your body SHOULD be able to do with ease. IF you can't do that, how are you supposed to do anything confidently? I remember that is how I used to feel...until I fixed it. That is what this podcast is going to teach you.How to get your confidence back. BECAUSE did you know confidence is different than SELF-CONFIDENCE? Confidence is when you believe in yourself because you have evidence from the past that you can do it. Self-confidence is when you believe in yourself WITHOUT any evidence. Because you decide too. And on our fertility journeys we need more SELF-CONFIDENCE because we haven't been here or done this before. We have no evidence from the past that we can do it. We need a stronger belief in ourselves. Learn how to get more in your life by listening to this episode.

How many of y'all have thoughts like:
Are you ready for this new year's episode all about goal setting. And in particular setting impossible goals? I bet you are, because kinda how I knew getting pregnant was the number one item on your christmas list. Well I bet that getting pregnant is your number one goal for this new year. Am I right? I bet I am. Because it is mine too. I set the impossible goal of getting pregnant in 2020. I had prepped my body and hormones for the past year and a half. The doctors had finally given us the go ahead. And yet looking back on it, I had no idea what I was in for when I set it. This goal has pushed me physically and emotionally to grow in ways I had never imagined. This goal has helped me take steps, I would not have otherwise taken, which has helped me get closer to my goal of becoming pregnant. I have had so much growth setting this impossible goal. I want to teach you the process and sell you on why you should also set an impossible goal!
