Jeff Cavanaugh brings a unique perspective to his show, offering his opinions without worrying about who he might offend. This refreshing approach allows him to speak freely and authentically, making for an engaging and entertaining listening experience.
One of the best aspects of The Jeff Cavanaugh Show is Jeff's ability to provide real news and factual information rather than relying on sensationalized "hot takes." He prioritizes giving his listeners accurate information, which sets him apart from other sports podcasts that often prioritize controversy over substance. Additionally, Jeff's coverage of the draft and scouting process stands out as top-notch. His insight into player evaluations and team needs is invaluable for fans looking for deeper analysis.
Another standout feature of this podcast is Jeff's ability to connect with his audience on a personal level. He shares his own battles with mental health and provides inspiring insights into overcoming challenges. This vulnerability makes him relatable and endearing to his listeners, fostering a sense of community among fans. Furthermore, Jeff's choice of guests adds depth to the show, bringing in experts who provide additional perspectives on various topics.
While The Jeff Cavanaugh Show has many strengths, there are a few areas that could be improved upon. One aspect that some listeners may find frustrating is the lack of diverse opinions on certain topics. Since Jeff tends to give his own opinion without worrying about offending others, it can sometimes feel like there is an echo chamber effect where alternative viewpoints are not adequately explored. Additionally, some may find the cover art for the podcast lacking in visual appeal or representativeness.
In conclusion, The Jeff Cavanaugh Show podcast is a highly recommended listen for anyone interested in sports, particularly Dallas Cowboys fans. With Jeff's knowledgeable insights, commitment to factual reporting over hot takes, and genuine care for his audience and mental health advocacy - this podcast stands out from the crowd. Welcome to the Dallas Cowboys 2025 NFL Draft recap edition of Trust the Tape. Former NFL scout Bryan Broaddus tells us his favorite picks the Cowboys made, what could have been done differently, and what is still left to do for Jerry Jones this offseason. Full class: Round 1 G Tyler Booker Round 2 EDGE Donovan Ezeiruaku Round 3 CB Shavon Revel Jr. Round 5 RB Jaydon Blue Round 5 LB Shemar James Round 6 OT Ajani Cornelius Round 7 DT Jay Toia Round 7 RB Phil Mafah Round 7 DT Tommy Akingbesote
Happy NFL draft week! Bryan Broaddus of 105.3 The Fan joins us to get ready to go drafting this Thursday. He's been working the phones and has a bunch of good information on what the teams picking before the Dallas Cowboys are up to. There are some teams jostling for position with eyes on Ashton Jeanty, Tetairoa McMillen and others. That could mean someone you weren't expecting could be available for Dallas. Who is trying to do what and what does it mean for the Cowboys? Welcome to Trust the Tape!
Matthew Golden is becoming the consensus pick for the Dallas Cowboys at #12 in the 2025 NFL Draft. What's the likelihood that he is the pick? How would we feel if that's the way it goes down? Would anyone prefer Tetairoa McMillen? We'll also explore the idea of trading down and how far is too far. Plus Bryan is going to work us through his stack (the rankings of his players with first round grades in order) to see who else could make sense for Dallas. How do the Cowboys feel about their offensive line? What about tight end? Should we be paying more attention to those spots? Bryan Broaddus joins us for Trust the Tape as he does every Monday and Thursday.
Today's Trust the Tape we'll take a look at the Dallas Cowboys biggest needs and what their draft could look like picking each position in each round. If it's not Tetairoa McMillen or Matthew Golden in the first round, where does their receiver come from? If a running back isn't the pick in the first couple of rounds, how does that position group play out? Is a defensive tackle at 12 possible? What about an edge rusher? Plus we kick around all of your questions and celebrate TEN MILLION VIEWS ON YOUTUBE! Thank you to every single one of you that watches or listens!
Let's talk about why the Dallas Cowboys might prefer Matthew Golden over Tetairoa McMillen at the 12th pick if they go for a wide receiver. Plus, Mel Kiper has gone 3 straight mock drafts giving UNC RB Omarion Hampton to the Dallas Cowboys at #12 overall. Is he really in play at that spot? Former Cowboys scout and 105.3 The Fan host Bryan Broaddus fills us in. It's Trust the Tape!
In today's episode of Trust the Tape, former Cowboys scout Bryan Broaddus has about half of the names of Dallas' 30 predraft visitor list. What do these names tells us about Jerry Jones and companies draft plans, and where they're likely to target which positions? Wide Receivers - Tetairoa McMillen, Luther Burden, Emeka Egbuka Running Backs - Omarion Hampton, Bhayshul Tuten, Quinshon Judkins, TreVeyon Henderson Offensive Line - Kelvin Banks Jr, Jonah Savaiinaea Defensive Line - Walter Nolen, Alfred Collins, Shemar Stewart Secondary - Andrew Mukuba, Shavon Revel
It's Trust the Tape with Bryan Broaddus and today we concentrate on what the depth of different positions in the NFL Draft could mean for the Dallas Cowboys plans. Running back, defensive tackle and a couple other spots have a really good collection of talent. Some of the other spots not so much. Will this cause the Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys to make mistakes in the 2025 NFL Draft? How do they really feel about their wide receiver room? Is Tetairoa McMillen or Matthew Golden the likely pick at 12?
Trust the Tape with Bryan Broaddus today focuses on which positions make the most sense for the Dallas Cowboys to target early in the 2025 NFL Draft. Are there any that don't make sense? Stephen Jones says the team is "not done" in free agency yet. What moves are we waiting to see happen? What position groups still need help before we go drafting? Plus, Tetairoa McMillen video has surfaced with him saying he doesn't really watch football or like watching film. Is it freak out time!?
Bryan Broaddus joins us as he does every Monday and Thursday for another episode of Trust the Tape. Today we'll take a look at what the Cowboys can do to help themselves at positions of need if they DON'T get their guy in the first round. Who are the 2nd-3rd round targets to help this team at DT, CB, WR, OT and more? Also, we're starting to see the name Tyler Warren pop up in mock drafts to the Dallas Cowboys. Does a tight end at #12 make sense with all the needs this team has?
If you guys don't know by now my favorite thing in the NFL Draft is trading down. This year that could be challenging but today Bill Barnwell wrote about the teams who should want to trade UP in the first round. How can the Dallas Cowboys get involved in that mix. We'll take the teams that Bill thinks could move up and see how a mock draft plays out for the Cowboys moving down. Plus some names including Luther Burden have started disappearing from first round mock drafts. Does that make him a Cowboys possibility in round two? Who will lead this Cowboys backfield? David Moore in the Dallas Morning News says Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders won't make it easy for a rookie to take the reins. We buying that? And who is going to be CeeDee Lamb's sidekick in the receiver room? Trust the Tape with Bryan Broaddus is right here for you.
Today Bryan Broaddus decided to blindside me with the idea of trading up for Travis Hunter. Watch me spin in circles and figure out if I'm on board with it. Plus we debate a bunch of the prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft and have an all around great time. Welcome to Trust the Tape featuring Bryan Broaddus.
Most of the free agency additions are done for the Dallas Cowboys. Let's talk with Bryan Broaddus about the additions Jerry Jones and company have made and if they will be better than they were a year ago. Here's what they've done so far.... Retained: Osa Odighizuwa Markquese Bell Bryan Anger CJ Goodwin Brock Hoffman Israel Mukuamu Trent Sieg Juanyeh Thomas KaVontae Turpin Tyrus Wheat Added: Dante Fowler Kaiir Elam Parris Cambell Robert Jones Kenneth Murray Jack Sanborn Javonte Williams Miles Sanders Solomon Thomas Payton Turner Is this making your team better? Or at least setting it up to draft and improve that way?
The Dallas Cowboys have had a busy couple of days with free agency and trades filling out their roster. Our friend and former Cowboys scout Bryan Broaddus joins us to talk about all these new additions and what you can expect to get from: RB Javonte Williams LB Kenneth Murray LB Jack Sanborn CB Kaiir Elam DL Solomon Thomas OL Rob Jones DE Payton Turner Plus we're going to end up in an NFL draft fight about Tetairoa McMillen and Travis Hunter.
The price tag for Micah Parsons contract extension just went up. This is the Dallas Cowboys/Jerry Jones special of waiting on getting a contract done with your best players and watching the market explode. Now people are going to talk nonsense about potentially trading Parsons. Plus its day one of NFL free agency and we'll give you what the Cowboys need to get accomplished in the next day or two. Bryan Broaddus joins me as he does every Monday and Thursday for Trust the Tape.
Bryan Broaddus joins me as he does every Monday and Thursday for another episode of Trust the Tape. The Cowboys just cleared a bunch of salary cap space and have the ability to do some shopping. Jerry Jones then immediately said they don't need to use free agency to fill voids before the draft. Which is confusing. Bryan's here to clear that up. Plus we're always talking NFL draft. Tet McMillen vs Ashton Jeanty, other targets at #12 overall, which defensive players make sense at that spot and how many guys do they need to sign before we go drafting? Could Davante Adams, Joey Bosa, DK Metcalf be in play for Dallas?
Bryan Broaddus joins us as he does every Monday and Thursday and today we take a look back and some of the winners and losers of the NFL Draft Combine from this weekend. How much did the RB group including Omarion Hampton, TreVeyon Henderson, Quinshon Judkins and others help themselves? Does it hurt Ashton Jeanty, Tetairoa McMillen and Mason Graham to have not worked out in Indianapolis? And which guys made us feel better about them being the Cowboys target in the first round? Plus, Osa Odighizuwa and Micah Parsons negotiations are underway. Can Jerry Jones get them both signed and actually get involved in free agency this offseason?
Bryan Broaddus of 105.3 The Fan joins me as he does every Monday and Thursday and today we've got big new draft news combine out of the combine in Indy. Abdul Carter has a stress reaction in his right foot and we've got the latest on what that means for the potential #1 overall pick. Plus Bryan's reaction to Mel Kiper mocking Omarion Hampton to the Cowboys in the first round, who he would LIKE to see picked #12 and who he's PREDICTING will be picked #12. And why are people telling me Mike Florio is talking about the Dallas Cowboys being interested in the #1 overall pick? And who would that be for?
Bryan Broaddus from 105.3 The Fan joins us to talk Dallas Cowboys free agency plans including the negotiations with Osa Odighizuwa, as well as which guys in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft have boom or bust potential. Plus you all know I love a good NFL Draft trade down. Can we find a good spot for that to work for Dallas?
Bryan Broaddus from 105.3 The Fan joins us as he does every Monday and Thursday and today we'll talk about what the Cowboys should do about impending free agent DT Osa Odighizuwa. They are in a really bad way at that position group if Osa leaves. Are they willing to pay what it costs to keep him? What about Jourdan Lewis? Rico Dowdle? Plus you know we're going to talk NFL Draft. Ashton Jeanty or Tet McMillen? Plus how do you evaluate a wonderful college player who doesn't quite fit the NFL mold that people expect?
Bryan Broaddus joins me as he does every Monday and Thursday and today we'll go over some of his favorite fits for the Dallas Cowboys to pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Plus Dane Brugler's updated top 100 is out, we've got mock drafts galore and we love talking draft. Will Ashton Jeanty make it to 12? And if so is that an easy choice? What about Tyler Warren? Is that a luxury pick? Is there a defensive lineman not named Mason Graham that's worthy of being picked there? All the scenarios, all the fun.
Dallas Cowboys superstar Micah Parsons name has popped up with trade speculation from Ian Rapoport. We'll chat with Bryan Broaddus about if that's an absolutely terrible idea to entertain for the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Jones and the team have a lot of work to do if they want to compete with Philadelphia Eagles, would a king's ransom for Parsons be a step in the right or wrong direction? Plus the lessons to be learned from the teams that just played in the Super Bowl and NFL Draft talk for you.
Bryan Broaddus from 105.3 The Fan joins us as he does every Monday and Thursday to discuss the Cowboys having officially named Brian Schottenheimer the head coach. We will also go over when/if Matt Eberflus will officially become the defensive coordinator and what needs to change if you want to track down Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles at winning football games. We also have plenty of draft content. You wanna beat the Eagles? Dak Prescott needs offensive line help. CeeDee Lamb needs a running buddy. Micah Parsons needs a dude on that line with him. The linebacker group is empty. DaRon Bland needs help in the secondary. We've got a lot of work to do.
The Cowboys have made it official. Brian Schottenheimer is going to be their new head coach. People have asked for my video of crashing out over the news but I think that already happened over the last month or two. We'll calmly discuss what Jerry Jones and company are up to, how it affects Dak Prescott and the offense and chat about Matt Eberflus becoming his defensive coordinator.
Bryan Broaddus joins us as he does every Monday and Thursday and today we have the latest on the possibility of Brian Schottenheimer as the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Dak Prescott voiced support for the idea but he also (publically) loves everyone so is there anything to make of that? We'll also talk some NFL Draft including what does the ideal running mate look like for CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott?
Bryan Broaddus of 105.3 The Fan joins us as he does every Monday and Thursday and today we will talk the Dallas Cowboys NFC Championship Game drought, head coaching search and the possibility of Ashton Jeanty coming to Dallas to Saquon Barkley this thing. The Dallas Cowboys haven't played in the NFC title game since 1995. That is now the longest drought in the conference by FIFTENN YEARS. It will be an All-NFC East title game and we're left to wonder where are the Cowboys in this division heading forward? Who is going to be the next head coach for Dallas? Robert Saleh and Kellen Moore have interviewed for the job, Leslie Frazier is about to and other candidates will as well. What is the biggest reason for Jerry Jones and the Cowboys failures? Do these playoffs tell us to go ahead and fire a first round pick at a running back and see if Ashton Jeanty can change the Cowboys fortunes? We're loaded today, come join the Cowboys party.
Bryan Broaddus joins me to talk about Mike McCarthy being out and the search for the next Cowboys coach being on. Deion Sanders name popped up last night from credible people and we can give you what you need about that. Other names that we think will consider include Kellen Moore certainly, perhaps Jon Gruden and/or Pete Carroll and more. Plus this means Mike Zimmer and the assistants are on the outs also. What are we going to do about that? And you know we'll talk some NFL Draft because it's our favorite thing. Settle in for another edition of Trust the Tape.
Mike McCarthy told Jerry Jones no thank you. With his contract expiring tonight the Super Bowl winning coach will be moving on in hope of landing a job in Chicago, New Orleans or elsewhere. Regardless of the exact way this went down, there is no way that Jerry Jones doesn't come out looking like an incredibly inept operator of a football team. Now the Cowboys will have a coaching search that will include whoever wants to work on the cheap and put up with the Dallas Cowboys circus. Get ready for Jon Gruden and Kellen Moore talk. Who do you want as the next coach of the Cowboys?
Bryan Broaddus of 105.3 The Fan joins me for another episode of Trust the Tape. We have fully entered draft season and we'll talk about the Cowboys biggest needs and wants, which position groups have the talent to line up for their needs and some of our pet cats. Bring your questions and lets Make The Cowboys Great Again. Do we love or hate a RB in the first round? Every mock draft has Ashton Jeanty to Dallas. Which receiver pairs best with CeeDee Lamb? Tet McMillen, Luther Burden, Emeka Egbuka or other? Who can help fix this defensive line with or without Osa Odighizuwa's return? It's a really defensive tackle class. All the draft things. Come be a part of it.
Bryan Broaddus from 105.3 The Fan joins us as he does every Monday and Thursday and today I refuse to rant about Jerry Jones but we've gotta talk about what he had to say about Mike McCarthy's future. When will we have the decision on McCarthy, Mike Zimmer and the rest of the coaching staff? Plus we are officially in to draft season now. With the loss to the Washington Commanders they hay is in the barn and we know where the Cowboys are picking and how many things they need. Let's do this. Time to figure out if we're adding Ashton Jeanty, Luther Burden, Emeka Egbuka, Kelvin Banks, Malaki Starks etc.
Bryan Broaddus of 105.3 The Fan joins us as he does every Monday and Thursday as we approach the final Cowboys game of the season against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. Ezekiel Elliott has been released by the Cowboys for the second time in three years which probably tells us at least two things. What is the Cowboys plan at RB moving forward? Will they bring Rico Dowdle back and who else could be involved? How much of the game against Washington will looks like an exhibition for the Cowboys and how are we feeling about Mike McCarthy and Mike Zimmer going forward? We know Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons want their guys back, but where are Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones on this?
Bryan Broaddus joins us as he does every Monday and Thursday and this week we'll talk about what happened with the Dallas Cowboys getting smashed by the Philadelphia Eagles. Cooper Rush couldn't play efficient football, none of the non CeeDee Lamb WRs were able to get anything done, Micah Parsons and the defense couldn't hold up long enough against Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, AJ Brown and company and now Mike McCarthy is a bad coach again. Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons say they're going to campaign to bring back the coaches, is that what we want? Plus, the Cowboys currently sit with the 13th pick in the NFL Draft and can get as high as 11th next week. Is that the sweet spot?
Bryan Broaddus of 105.3 The Fan joins me as he does every Monday and Thursday (except when it's a Friday) and this week we discuss the end of CeeDee Lamb's season, the Cowboys and Eagles matchup and of course some NFL draft things.
The Dallas Cowboys learned they couldn't make the postseason yesterday afternoon and proceeded to go beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (who are very much in the playoff mix) last night. CeeDee Lamb is doing some serious narrative changing with the toughness he's showing down the stretch. Mike McCarthy is making a final push to remain the head coach next season. Jourdan Lewis is continuing the best year of his career and making a strong case to get the biggest contract of his career. Cooper Rush had a career game. Micah Parsons and the rest of Mike Zimmer's defense are in a groove. The season might be ‘over' but the Dallas Cowboys refuse to play like it.
The Dallas Cowboys smoked the Carolina Panthers and suddenly look like they've got a little something going too late. Bryan Broaddus joins us to break it all down. We'll talk about the improved play of the offensive line. How does a team keep getting better and better as they lose more guys to injury? Plus why does the entire team hate Dak Prescott. They once again are getting very limited play at the QB spot but playing awesome defense and able to run the hell out of the ball. Trevon Diggs is done for the year and possibly 2025. Clarence Hill of DLLS Sports told us the Cowboys were unhappy with the way he rehabbed the previous injury, and Micah Parsons didn't like that. Which impending free agents will/can the Cowboys prioritize going in to next year? Big decisions on Osa Odighizuwa, Rico Dowdle, Jourdan Lewis and Chauncey Golston.
The Dallas Cowboys currently hold the 12th pick in the NFL Draft. Bryan Broaddus from 105.3 The Fan joins us to rank our current top 12 prospects to preview the sort of help that could be joining Dallas. Help for the offensive line in front of Dak Prescott? Someone to man the slot for impending free agent Jourdan Lewis? A monster in the middle to ease the pressure on Micah Parsons? Let's get familiar with the best players in this draft.
Turn your videos into live streams with https://restream.io The Dallas Cowboys got (relatively) good news on DeMarvion Overshown that should have fans excited. Plus the Mike McCarthy conversation going on everywhere including at The Star in Frisco with Jerry Jones and company, and some offseason and NFL Draft Q&A. What is the biggest Cowboys need? There are a lot of options. - A non CeeDee Lamb wide receiver. - Defensive tackle. Mazi Smith is the only one on the roster next year. - Running back. You ready for the Deuce Vaughn and Hunter Luepke backfield? Let's get Rico Dowdle a new deal. - Offensive line. Their hodgepodge throwtogether group hasn't been bad the last couple of weeks but they have to figure out what Tyler Guyton has and who is replacing Zack Martin. Is it Brock Hoffman? - Linebacker. Damone Clark and Marist Liufau is your whole linebacker group next year. Overshown isn't playing AT LEAST the first half of the season. - Cornerback. With Jourdan Lewis set to be a free agent, there's no one on the roster to put with Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland.
Bryan Broaddus joins me to discuss the Cowboys loss to the Bengals, DeMarvion Overshown's unfortunate injury and what the future holds for Mike McCarthy. He really put me in my place during a McCarthy conversation. Cooper Rush not good enough, Rico Dowdle on fire, still no non CeeDee receiving option to help. This thing's in trouble. Plus snuck in some NFL Draft talk.
Let's talk about the 2025 NFL draft and some of the guys at wide receiver that could help Dak Prescott, CeeDee lamb and this Cowboys offense get back where they need to be. I'm a big fan of quite a few of these guys so I'll hit you with some scouting report on Tet McMillen, Travis Hunter, Luther Burden III, Emeka Egbuka and more. Hit that like and subscribe button or else (that's not a threat.)
Bring your thoughts and your questions for the first live draft chat of the year. We gotta find a lot of guys for the Dallas Cowboys. Dak Prescott needs someone not named CeeDee Lamb to throw to. Luther Burden? Tet McMillan? He also needs some guys to block. Calvin Banks Jr? We gotta find a RB. Ashton Jeanty? Omarion Hampton? Kaleb Johnson? Defense? Yep, we're in the market for that too. Let's kick around some of thebig names in the draft and find some players.
Bryan Broaddus of 105.3 The Fan hops on as he does every Monday and Thursday and we've got a winning streak to discuss. The Cowboys have won two in a row and are preparing to host the 4-8 Cincinnati Bengals. Could they keep this thing going? Is it possible that Mike McCarthy is actually the best answer to making a run at this thing next year? How much has the Micah Parsons return changed this defense? And what do you make of Cooper Rush and his performance in relief of Dak Prescott so far?
Some of us might have hoped for a different result, but the Dallas Cowboys showed some fight in a win against the Washington Commanders yesterday. Micah Parsons and CeeDee Lamb aren't laying down, KaVontae Turpin's insane kick return SHOULD have sealed it but didn't and we had all sorts of twists and turns on the way to a Cowboys win. Rico Dowdle was the engine, Cooper Rush was efficient-ish and Washington's kicker was the best player on the Cowboys. The defense is taking strides, unsung players are making names for themselves, and Team Tank took a big blow. We've also begun on draft fights already. Tet McMillen vs Luther Burden vs Ashton Jeanty vs Malaki Starks. Bryan Broaddus joins us to break it all down.
Thanks to Jerry Jones wonderful version of team building this offseason, we're halfway to it being draft season as Dallas Cowboy fans. Let's discuss some of the guys the Cowboys will have a shot at and how they can help this team as well as previewing the Cowboys and Commanders this Sunday. Having a top ten pick is fun. Travis Hunter, Tet McMillan, Luther Burden at wide receiver, defensive guys and offensive linemen to know about, we do it all with Bryan Broaddus of 105.3 The Fan.
Bryan Broaddus from 105.3 The Fan joins me as he does every Monday and Thursday and today we'll talk some Dallas Cowboys draft along with analysis of where the team is. Boise St RB and projected first round pick Ashton Jeanty says he wants to be a Cowboy. Are you surprised that's still a thing? If the Cowboys have a top 10 pick does taking a RB make sense? Micah Parsons is predicting greatness for Mazi Smith. You buying? Plus WR Jonathan Mingo is ready to make his Cowboys debut. What's the most interesting storyline for this team right now? Oh and Dak Prescott had surgery. 3 months is the recovery time. Buckle up for Trey Lance and Cooper Rush.
The Cowboys without Dak Prescott got throttled again. The debate about Cooper Rush and Trey Lance will continue as both were absolutely awful. Micah Parsons return helped the Cowboys defense (with DeMarvion Overshown and Trevon Diggs) show life for a half of football but they couldn't sustain it. This thing is completely, totally broken. Jerry Jones for his part remains defiant about keeping Mike McCarthy through the end of the season and also about letting the sun blind his players. All that to say, welcome to draft season with our friend Bryan Broaddus.
The Dallas Cowboys had another disappointing showing against the Atlanta Falcons leading to some of us (me for example) to conclude the postseason is out of reach this season. Jerry Jones threw a curveball after the game when the Cowboys 'have some things in the mix' with the trade deadline looming tomorrow. Injuries to Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb further complicate things and we discuss how Rico Dowdle is actually good. Stop being cute with Dalvin Cook and Zeke Elliott, let the good dude play.
The 3-4 Dallas Cowboys are staring at a must win game travelling to Atlanta to take on the Falcons this Sunday. Dak Prescott, who wasn't listed as a top 10 QB by his teammates Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs on Micah's podcast, will have to play cleaner and better football to give the Cowboys a chance. The potential return on DaRon Bland could give a boost to the defense that is tasked with slowing down Kirk Cousins, Drake London, Kyle Pitts, Bijan Robinson etc. What are the causes for optimism in this matchup? Bryan Broaddus of 105.3 The Fan joins to discuss. What are yours? Leave them in the comments!
Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones said the words ALL IN over and over again this offseason and it was never a real thing. He did however tell you the actual plan at one point, we just paid more attention to the fun headline words. They got the Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb deals done just in time, they're going to do the same thing with Micah Parsons. Although the idea of trading Micah is worthwhile, for a couple of reasons that I'll go over. I'll show you exactly how this team was never going to be all in, and exactly when and how they WILL be all in.
The Dallas Cowboys weren't able to overcome the San Francisco 49ers, again. Mike Zimmer's defense continues to be unable to stop the run, the Cowboys can't run the ball themselves despite trying out Dalvin Cook to partner with Ezekiel Elliott this week. Dak Prescott continues to turn the ball over every week. CeeDee Lamb had a big game but it all stills feels off. Trevon Diggs hit a reporter with 'deez nuts' after the game. That's we were are with the Cowboys today. Yikes.
We're finally back to football! Let's take a look at the matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers and how Dallas can get this thing back on track and get the fanbase believing again. We've got updates on Micah Parsons, DaRon Bland, Deebo Samuel and other guys who have missed games and practices and how they will or won't affect the outcome. Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and the passing game have got to get it back going. Brock Purdy has had his challenges so far this year and will be missing an important piece. How can the Cowboys slow him, Jordan Mason and the 49ers offense down? And of course Jerry Jones and Mike McCarthy are back in the news because why wouldn't they be? Please smash that like button and make sure you're subscribed!
Bryan Broaddus of 105.3 The Fan joins me as he does every Monday and Thursday to talk about the Dallas Cowboys chances against the San Francisco 49ers. They certainly don't look like world beaters, but the Cowboys are going to have to be a lot better than they've been lately. The potential returns of Micah Parsons and DaRon Bland certainly make things look a little better defensively, the 49ers should be without Brandon Aiyuk and Christian McCaffrey. Is that enough to make you feel optimistic about the good guys? Offensively can we expect progress as we move forward from Tyler Guyton and Cooper Beebe? If not, how in the world can you expect the offense to pick up? Can the Cowboys establish a non CeeDee Lamb threat for offenses to worry about Dak Prescott throwing to? Can they run the ball better with Rico Dowdle and whoever else? All the questions coming out of the bye and all our answers, right here.
The Detroit Lions smoked the Dallas Cowboys 47-9 yesterday. Bryan Broaddus is joining us to break down what the film says about what went wrong and where in the world to go from here. Mike McCarthy's Dak Prescott-led offense had no answers to even try and keep the Cowboys competitive while Mike Zimmer's shorthanded defense got absolutely shredded all day. Jerry Jones said after the game they aren't interested in making trades to help this roster. So what gives you hope for the rest of the season?
