With Boomer out, Jerry hosts alongside Damien Woody, who breaks down NFL roster cut-downs and Jets coaching changes before the fellas preview the Jets' Week 1 opener against former coach Robert Saleh. C-Lo joins to cover the controversial non-catch in Sunday's Yankees-Red Sox game, Josh Jacobs lands on the Commissioner's Exempt List, and the guys debate if starters need more preseason playing time—all that and much more!
On this episode of Korner Booth, Jared Klim and Matt Ordazzo preview two of the NFL's toughest divisions — the AFC South and NFC South — breaking down roster changes, breakout candidates, and who's got the edge heading into the season. Then the guys shift gears into college football with a full Big Ten Conference preview, talking title contenders, teams on the rise, and the games you need to circle on your calendar. We start in the AFC South, where the Jaguars enter as reigning division champs after a surprising 13-win season under first-year head coach Liam Coen, but the Texans and their elite defense are lurking right behind them. The Colts look to build on last year's promising stretch with a healthier Daniel Jones, while the Titans turn the page with new head coach Robert Saleh and a Year 2 leap expected from Cam Ward. We break down whether Jacksonville can hold off the field or if Houston reclaims the division crown. From there we move to the NFC South, arguably the league's most wide-open division heading into 2026. The Buccaneers enter as the betting favorites behind Baker Mayfield despite a late-season collapse last year, while the Falcons bring in new head coach Kevin Stefanski to try to unlock their talented roster. The Saints look for continued growth in Year 2 under Kellen Moore, and the Panthers, last year's surprise division winners, try to prove it wasn't a fluke with Bryce Young taking another step forward. We break down every angle of this toilet-bowl division and who's got the best shot to come out on top. We close things out with a full Big Ten Conference preview. Ohio State and Oregon enter as the preseason No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the country, while defending national champion Indiana looks to prove last year's title run was no fluke. Michigan and Penn State both break in new head coaches, and we break down the biggest storylines, sleeper teams, and marquee matchups to circle on your calendar this season. Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh remains calm and confident despite a preseason filled with offensive inconsistency, defensive breakdowns and growing frustration from Titans fans. The Titans are 2-0 in the preseason after wins over the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks, but the final scores have often presented a more encouraging picture than the performances themselves. Cam Ward and Tennessee's starting offense have failed to produce a touchdown through two preseason games. Ward showed better accuracy and command against Seattle than he did against San Francisco, but the Titans again struggled to finish possessions and lost another opportunity when Ward was stripped from behind on a scramble. Tennessee's defensive performance against Seattle created an even larger concern. The Seahawks rested their starters, but Drew Lock completed 12-of-14 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. Seattle scored on its first three possessions and built a 16-3 first-quarter lead, highlighted by a wide-open touchdown to Elijah Arroyo and Jacardia Wright's 69-yard rushing score. Jeffery Simmons has addressed the defense's struggles and the need for Tennessee's players to eliminate explosive plays, communicate more effectively and play with greater consistency. Robert Saleh has also acknowledged the ugly mistakes while maintaining confidence in his players, coaching staff and the progress being made behind the scenes. Does Saleh possess valuable context that fans cannot see? Is his calmness exactly what Tennessee needs from its new head coach? Or should the lack of urgency frustrate a fan base that has watched similar problems linger during recent seasons? Austin and JT debate whether Saleh's approach should provide comfort or frustration before turning to the Titans' new visual identity. The Titans will unveil their Nike Rivalries alternate uniform tonight. What should fans expect from the new look, and how will it fit alongside the franchise's complete 2026 rebrand? Tennessee has already introduced an updated logo, Titans-blue primary home jerseys, white road uniforms and several design elements intended to connect the Oilers era, the Titans' Tennessee history and Nashville's identity. After finally watching the redesigned uniforms during a home game, have Titans fans changed their opinion of the rebrand? Join the conversation throughout the LIVE show:
The Tennessee Titans are 2-0 in the 2026 NFL preseason after defeating the Seattle Seahawks 19-16—but the final score does not tell the complete story. Austin Stanley and Easton Freeze react to Cam Ward's performance, Carnell Tate's quiet preseason and the growing concerns surrounding Robert Saleh's Titans defense on today's LIVE A to Z Sports Nashville morning show. Ward looked more accurate and comfortable than he did during the Titans' preseason opener against the San Francisco 49ers, but Tennessee's starting offense still failed to score a touchdown. Ward also lost the football when Seahawks linebacker Chazz Surratt chased him down from behind on a scramble. Was Ward's performance encouraging, efficient, underwhelming or simply incomplete? Austin and Easton ask Titans fans to describe Cam's night in ONE WORD before grading the good, the bad and what his performance means entering the final preseason game. Carnell Tate remains one of the biggest Titans storylines. Robert Saleh discussed the rookie wide receiver after Tate went through another preseason game without producing the explosive moments Titans fans saw throughout training camp. Is Tate merely experiencing the normal ups and downs of a rookie, or has his quiet preseason become something worth monitoring? The greatest concern may be Tennessee's defense. The Seahawks rested their starters, but Drew Lock completed 12-of-14 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. Seattle scored on its first three possessions, including a wide-open 36-yard touchdown to Elijah Arroyo and Jacardia Wright's 69-yard touchdown run. The Titans also committed 11 penalties for 100 yards, while an illegal-contact penalty erased a Kevin Winston Jr. interception. Robert Saleh described some of Tennessee's mistakes as “hateful plays,” and the Titans head coach made it clear that the performance was not good enough. Where should the panic meter sit for this defense as the regular season approaches? There were still plenty of legitimate Titans winners. Joey Slye connected on four field goals, including a 55-yarder. Anthony Hill Jr. and Derrick Canteen intercepted Jalen Milroe, while D'Ernest Johnson scored the game-winning touchdown as Tennessee erased a 16-3 deficit. Austin and Easton separate the meaningful positives from the misleading final result with Titans-Seahawks winners, losers and the biggest remaining concerns. #TennesseeTitans #Titans #CamWard #CarnellTate #TitanUp #NFLPreseason Learn more about your ad choices. The Tennessee Titans face their most important training camp test when the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks arrive in Nashville for Friday's joint practice. He has produced several encouraging practices since then, but Seattle provides an opportunity to demonstrate improved accuracy, decision-making and command against an unfamiliar championship defense. The Titans' cornerbacks may have even more to prove. Tennessee's secondary has surrendered too many explosive plays during training camp, while uncertainty remains behind Cor'Dale Flott and Alontae Taylor. How the group handles Seattle's receivers could reveal whether cornerback has replaced the offensive line as the biggest concern on Robert Saleh's roster. The offensive line belongs directly in the middle of the evaluation. Fernando Carmona is emerging at right guard, JC Latham continues building momentum at right tackle and Brandon Crenshaw-Dixon is being tested as Tennessee's potential swing tackle. If Ward struggles, Austin and Easton explain how to separate quarterback mistakes from protection failures. Plus, which overlooked Titans player could become the surprise star of the joint practice? The Tennessee Titans have both of their 2026 first-round picks on injury watch before Friday's major joint-practice test against the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. Austin Stanley and Easton Freeze react to Robert Saleh's latest updates on Carnell Tate, Keldric Faulk, Jacob Martin and Mitch Trubisky. Tate missed Wednesday's practice with tightness that Saleh said was unrelated to the massive collision involving Kevin Winston Jr. on Monday. The rookie receiver avoided a concussion, but his availability remains an important storyline before Tennessee faces one of the NFL's most talented defenses. The No. 4 overall pick has produced several dominant practices and repeatedly flashed his contested-catch ability, but the physical toll of camp, limited preseason production and missed practice time have interrupted some of his momentum. Austin and Easton discuss whether that represents a normal rookie adjustment or something worth monitoring. Faulk's situation carries more uncertainty. Tennessee's other first-round selection left Wednesday's practice in visible discomfort while favoring his shoulder. Saleh expressed hope that the issue was merely a stinger, but the Titans are continuing to evaluate the young defensive lineman. Austin and Easton explain what they saw on the play and why Faulk needs every available repetition against Seattle's offensive line. The conversation then shifts to Tennessee's receivers. Elic Ayomanor explains the importance of consistency as he competes for opportunities in a crowded room. Wan'Dale Robinson continues commanding targets and looks positioned to become one of Brian Daboll's most frequently used weapons. Robinson has exceeded 140 targets and 90 receptions in each of the last two seasons—but what total would actually shock Titans fans in this offense? Calvin Ridley may be the wild card. Tennessee no longer needs Ridley to function as its unquestioned No. 1 receiver, allowing him to operate as “gravy” behind Tate and Robinson. If Ridley's strong training-camp performance translates into the regular season, he could become the unexpected multiplier that changes the offense's ceiling. Episode 4 of Prophet Playoff Theory heads to the AFC South, where the division has become one of the most intriguing in football. Houston, Jacksonville and Indianapolis all have legitimate playoff aspirations, while Tennessee is trying to establish a new identity around Cam Ward. The last time we saw Houston, a five-turnover game helped cost them another playoff opportunity. The defense is arguably the best in the business, but how much more can this roster accomplish if C.J. Stroud takes the next step? With this much talent around him, what does Stroud need to do to make sure he doesn't waste his opportunity? The Colts have made some massive financial and personnel commitments, including trading two first-round picks for Sauce Gardner and paying Alec Pierce after his breakout season. With Pierce already dealing with an injury, did Indianapolis put too many chips on the table? And just how much can the return of Daniel Jones change this team and get the Colts back into the playoff picture? Keven is officially buying the Jaguars. After their playoff berth and division title last season, expectations are much higher in Jacksonville. Is this finally the year Trevor Lawrence cements himself as one of the NFL's elite quarterbacks? And why should both Keven and Rashad expect even more from this team after last season's breakthrough? What does “good” actually look like for the Titans? Tennessee brings in Robert Saleh and Brian Daboll to help Cam Ward and a young roster take the next step. After a three-win season, can a more experienced coaching staff provide the structure this team desperately needs? Is this simply a rebuilding year—or could the Titans surprise the AFC South?Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/preach-kev-preach-w-rashad--2977392/support.

NFL preseason football got underway last night with the Jets playing the Bucs tonight, featuring a great game from Drew Allar for the Steelers while Cam Ward struggled out of the gate. Gio agreed with Gordon Damer that the best move for the Jets is to lose every game, blasted Robert Saleh and Brian Daboll, but is still rooting like crazy for the Jets to beat Saleh's Titans in Week 1. "I'm not letting anyone stand in the way of me feeding my family." Jeffery Simmons One of our favorite times of year as we kick off The Pivot's NFL Training camp tour and we started our journey in Music City, with a team singing praises for their new coach, new logo and a new mindset...Ryan, Channing, and Fred sit down with one of the league's most dominant defensive forces, Jeffrey Simmons. The All Pro Defensive Tackle has achieved ultimate individual success in his eight year career but is still chasing that team goal, to win together. From overcoming unimaginable adversity to becoming a first-round draft pick and one of the NFL's premier defensive tackles, Simmons reflects on the journey that shaped him on and off the field. He also opens up about moving beyond the rumors and stigma that followed one mistake in high school, sharing how he rebuilt his reputation through accountability, perseverance, and years of proving himself both as a man and as a player. The conversation dives into the challenge of consistently performing at an elite level while playing on teams that have struggled to win, and what continues to fuel his drive every time he steps on the field. Simmons also discusses the excitement surrounding elite quarterback Cam Ward, why he believes Ward's talent and leadership can help change the trajectory of the franchise, and what it's been like embracing a new era under the Titans' new coaching regime, including the impact of veteran defensive mind Robert Saleh. He also talks about how he's been impressed with Rookie wideout Carnell Tate and what his speed and talents bring to the offensive unit. He doesn't shy away from the emotional side of football either, sharing what it was like watching former Titans head coach Mike Vrabel reach the Super Bowl after spending so many years together in Tennessee, and why that moment of watching his friend play in that game was bittersweet and brought on a sense of what could have been. It's an honest conversation about resilience, redemption, loyalty, leadership, and the relentless pursuit of greatness—on a team still searching for its breakthrough. Robert Saleh responds to a report that he promised the Titans would beat his former team in Week 1. Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber explain why Saleh's return makes the opener deeply personal and why a Jets loss could bury their season before it begins. Plus, the Yankees' handling of young players, Francisco Lindor's Mets future and Malik Nabers' progress at Giants camp.
Robert Saleh is reportedly promising that Tennessee will beat the Jets in Week 1, and Evan Roberts, Tiki Barber and Shaun Morash are ready to put his trash talk on the bulletin board. The challenge for Aaron Glenn is proving this Jets team can match its offensive talent with a defense featuring eight new starters and a head coach staking his reputation on his own play-calling. The quarterback debate remains impossible to escape. Geno Smith enters camp with questions, Cade Klubnik is already generating buzz, and the possibility of pursuing Baker Mayfield sparks a larger argument about whether the Jets should finally abandon their failed quarterback-development cycle. The Tiki Time Machine then revisits WFAN's reaction to the 2013 Geno Smith draft pick, revealing which hosts nailed the moment and how little the franchise's quarterback conversation has changed.
Robert Saleh is reportedly predicting that Tennessee will beat the Jets in Week 1, and Evan Roberts, Tiki Barber and Shaun Morash immediately turn his trash talk into bulletin-board material. With Garrett Wilson preparing to catch passes from yet another quarterback and Cade Klubnik already generating training camp buzz, the Jets' endless search for stability remains impossible to ignore. The bigger concern is Aaron Glenn's defense. Eight new starters, questions about the overall talent and Glenn taking over the play-calling create enormous pressure for a team that may finally have enough offensive weapons to surprise people. The conversation then turns to a franchise-changing possibility: abandoning the rookie-quarterback cycle and pursuing Baker Mayfield if he ever becomes available.
