We’re back and it’s time we filled you in on everything we have been doing for the last 10 months. Hell no it isn’t! Endgame is in theatres and we have both seen it so it’s time for a full and thorough chat about everything we loved immensely and even some things we loved slightly less. This episode is full of SPOILERS! Basically from beginning to end so if you haven’t seen Avengers : Endgame yet and you don’t want it spoiled you should avoid this episode like the plague, where seeing the movie is like the cure and you should come back with said cure after you have seen it. Anyways, see Endgame then come back and hear what we thought. Leave us a comment and tell us what you think. What did you like? What did we get wrong? Only the comments can tell...

It’s almost time for summer vacation, but before we go, we’re going to take a look back at all the geeky goodness we’ve covered over the last 6 months. That’s right, it’s a season finale! We’ll update our opinions on some of our favourite (and least favourite) series, movies and games from our first nineteen episodes. We run the gamut from podcasts to movies to card games to soundtracks we’ve discovered (or abandoned) through the show. Because we couldn’t leave without some new stuff, we dissect season 2 and the finale of Legion. And in our final take-home top 3, Chris talks about some of his earliest and favourite comics. Have an awesome summer - we’ll be back soon with Season Two! ----more----  Listener feedback form here! We want to know what you thought of season one. Take this short survey and give us your opinions - good or bad!   Thanks to K’Bana Blaq for permission to use the song Punk in our intro. This week we return to the vaults for our last “unreleased” episode, and there’s a lot in here!  We compare notes on the premier of Black Lightning and Darren dishes the lowdown on a variety of Marvel TV shows including Runaways and The Gifted. Boardgame coverage includes Bargain Quest and the “Cthulhu” flavour of the classic Pandemic which launches Chris on a tangent about the author H.P. Lovecraft. Plus, this episode marked our very first stab at a Take-home Top Three, and we look at great TV shows that either ended too soon or went on too long. This raises the question... which category would this episode fall under?   ----more---- Henry Rollins Black Lightning Runaways Maximum Apocalypse Bargain Quest HP Lovecraft & Racism Carnivale

Chris has been keeping up with Season 2 Of Legion, but Darren has not. Darren’s caught up on Westworld season 2 but Chris isn’t. We give each other (and you) a spoiler-free review of these two great shows. Meanwhile, Darren binge watched the second half of Agents of Shield season 5 on the promise of a great crossover with Agengers : Infinity War - find out if he was delighted or disappointed. Chris played the card-drafting game Treasure Hunter, we run down the Geek News of the week, and the Take Home Top 3 has us both reminiscing about the days when we played with toys (or at least when it was more socially acceptable for us to be playing with toys). It’s a bit of an eclectic mix this week! Darren reports on his highlights from the recent Toronto music festival Field Trip. We both get a little moony-eyed for Saga, the long-running and still excellent sci-fi comic series by Fiona Staples and Brian K. Vaughan. We’ve each seen a movie about not-quite dead people and talk about the drastically different flicks Cargo and Coco. Then I hand in my top-three assignment and name three of my all-time favourite animated movies. Whether they’re really meant for kids or not, these are some excellent films!  Thanks to K’Bana Blaq for permission to use the song Punk in our intro.  ----more----  Field Trip Saga Cargo Coco Kubo and the Two-String Fantastic Mr. Fox Wall-E

Flashback time again! This time Darren is off on vaction so we're pulling another "unreleased" practice episode from the TSO vault.   We cover a lot of ground in this one, touching on a trio of TV shows (The Orvillle, The End of the F@#%ing World, and Black Mirror) and a trio of games (Otrio, Gloomhaven and Halcyon 6). Plus, Darren goes on a tear about the ultra-violoent Brawl in cell Block 99. A note on audio: We didn't yet have much in the way of music at this point but we had at least improved our basic vocal recording technique. Still, it's a bit rough in places so thanks for indulging us in this "cheat" episode. ----more---- Thanks to K'Bana Blaq for permission to use Punk in our intro. We look at a couple of newish games: the mobile quickie Meteorfall, and the grim followup to This War of Mine that is Frostpunk. Take a trip back in time with us to the first ever recorded but previously unreleased episode of the Totally Sort of Podcast.  Chris is still away so Darren dug this gem out of the vault. As far as gems go it is pretty unpolished - hear the slight hum of the poor sound quality, the creaking of Chris’s chair, Darren rubbing his hands together way too close to the mic and other signs of two guys with microphones taking their first leap into the wonderful world of podcasting.  Or, if you don’t want to cringe along with us, come back next week when we will be back to new episodes which hopefully evidence some modicum of improvement from this early recording.----more---- Thanks to K’Bana Blaq for allowing us to us his song Punk as our Intro Song.
