In this episode of the Off-Road Racer Podcast, I sit down with class 10 and class 1 racer Tom Coons. Tom Coons recently won class 10 and got 3rd overall at the 2024 California 300. Tom and I go on a deep dive into the art and skill of racecraft. We talk about Tom's evolution through various suspension setups, transitioning from manual to sequential gearboxes, and how Tom plans and preps for a race. We also talk about the character it takes to do off-road racing. It is no secret that off-road racing is challenging, and it demands perseverance and ambition, but also an ability to work with people in the industry, who can help you out. For those of us who know, you cannot do this sport alone. I'm your host Matt Martelli, and this IS the Off-Road Racer Podcast.

¡And the winner is!

ORN Atom Bergstrom show notes 8/17/22 part one Atom is writing a book about the positive aspects of sugar. He says sugar is a valuable medicine, used to resolve T1 diabetes. If they say something is incurable, it means they don't know how to cure it. Cancer drugs guarantee cancer again 5 or 6 years down the line. Lady with uterine cancer saved by black salve treatment. Why do cancers show up? You have a problem to resolve on the cognitive level. 80% of problems go away if you ignore them. Concentrate on other things. Don't focus on the bad stuff. Cancer helps anaphylactic shock if taken quickly enough. Celery and potatoes both have solanine in them. They've been jacked up with genetic modification and can be hazardous to health. Non-nitrite bacon is cured with celery powder, which is naturally high in nitrites, and can be higher in nitrites/nitrates than nitrate cured bacon. Some people can break out in red spots just from touching celery, which is a photosensitivity reaction to psoralens in the celery. Avoid celery with bite marks, because celery plants create toxins to deter the pests. Non-organic beets are higher in nitrates than processed meats. Someone very sensitive could die from them. Turning orange from carrots means you have a sensitivity to carrots. Atom says a researcher proved retinol is the precursor to beta carotene. Oprah's jet flights have put her as number 9 on the list of global polluters. Surthrival Pine Pollen 20% off with RESTORE20 code during August. Cows can take omega 3's and bio-hydrogenate them into stearic acid, one of the beneficial fatty acids. Every once in a while eat a little junk food for the hormetic effect. The microbiome changes within 3 days when changing from meat to vegan or reverse. You don't get used to things causing bad reactions. Avoid the item. Atom likes Morton's Canning and Pickling salt. Avoid iodized salt. Are the animals there for us to eat them? Simple solutions to pollution and climate change, but they're not interested. E.g. sunflowers reduce CO2. Cities get priority for water over farmers. Supply change issues are all planned. California trying to regulate-out trucks. Listener suspects eye trauma because his father wouldn't buy him glasses 50 years ago. Nancy has lesions on her arm. Bites? Buggies? Toxic exposure? Try applying aloe, sugar, or honey. Or leave it alone; some of our treatments make things worse. Patrick's process of screen play writing is to think of the play as already finished. Is the second coming now? Financially, spiritually, economically, everything is bubbling, souls are waking up. Atom says it's all a movie. Always someone pushing against a protagonist so they can grow. Patrick likes the Yellowstone movie, especially the scene with a vegan woman at a cattle ranch being told that vegan crops kill more animals than a cattle ranch. The co-creator and writer, Taylor Sheridan, is a horseman. He's written a number of other good movies, including Wind River. Pre-fall detox specials. Special pricing of the Relax Far Infrared Saunas for the next 2 weeks. Also AquaCure on sale now. First manifestation of God was hydrogen. Scientific study shows molecular hydrogen helps liver metabolism. The Actors Studio interviewed Tom Cruise, John Travolta. Both are scientologists. They are intelligent, aware, settled, talented, successful, and humble. They understand the mind-body paradigm.

Parents with buggies designed for twins or triplets are calling for anti-bike barriers in Sittingbourne to be removed. Mums say they are struggling to walk their children to nursery because they can't fit through the metal railings. They were installed to stop motorbikes from speeding along footpaths. Hear what one mum has to say about it. Also in today's podcast, a Kent travel agent expects disruption to flights to continue for some time. Hundreds of passengers were left disappointed yesterday when dozens of flights were cancelled at the last minute. We've been speaking to Chris Scoble from Go Scoble travel agents in Tunbridge Wells and kmfm's Ismail Khwaja whose flight to Turkey last night was cancelled just minutes before take-off. People living in part of Canterbury say they've reached ‘tipping point' because of rubbish being dumped near their homes. Residents near Kemsing Gardens say the issue has been going on for more than 15 years - and it's now becoming dangerous. A Kent charity is marking ten years of providing cold cots for families who have experienced the loss of a baby at birth. Abigail's Footsteps was set up by Jo and David Ward, following the death of their daughter, who was stillborn at 41 weeks in 2009. David has been telling us how important cold cots are. The Vamps have been chatting to our sister radio station kmfm about their 10 year anniversary. They're going on a greatest hits tour later this year. And in sport, find out who Gillingham have signed and why there are calls for table tennis to get more recognition.
