The Junkies welcome Alex Hyde-White for a super-powered conversation. Alex, who goes by the nickname Punch, and was the first person to play a live-action Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in the never-released but widely-viewed movie The Fantastic Four, completed in 1994. I'm joined by Ann Foley this week to discuss her work as costume designer on the hit HBO show The Last of Us. From sourcing vintage clothes to weaving the infected's fungal-explosions in with the clothes they were wearing when they died to her graduate school on the sets of Agents of SHIELD, Ann's insights into translating the world of the game to the world of the screen are pretty fascinating. Twenty years ago, we went crazy all summer seeing what we thought would be the last Star Wars movie ever; Revenge of the Sith. It was an exciting year of hype, merchandise, and standing in lines. But then, we got an exciting Christmas present when a sequel to our favorite galaxy was released. The Force Awakens awakened that excitement it had been so long since we felt. More Celebrations, more hype, more merchandise, and more lines (although, much easier to navigate).
