Have you thought about gifts lately? What about spiritual gifts? Our Heavenly Father longs for us to develop our spiritual gifts and to bless us with more. But have you thought to ask Him? What are spiritual gifts? Why have we been commanded to seek after and pray for them? In our conversation today we discuss a simple insight which promises “that If any of us are imperfect, pray for the gift that will make us perfect”. We share the hope that every defect in the human character can be corrected through the exercise of faith and pleading with the Lord for the gifts that He has said He will give unto those who believe and obey His commandments. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/underhiswings/message
Will God only love us if we are good all the time? Do I have to do ALL the things, ALL the time in order to be blessed? We will discuss how people tend to think there's a gospel checklist to get into heaven, and the problems that this mentality can produce. What's the answer when many stress themselves right out of the church and vow to throw away the checklist all together. Is there a solution? Does a “checklist mentality” help or hinder our connection to God? We hope to help clarify our understandings in this discussion today and help others to see that checklists in and of themselves are not bad. They can bring us closer to Christ; and as we come closer we feel His love greater and can begin to live a higher and holier way. The checklists can become holy habits that keep us close to Christ. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/underhiswings/message
