Kevin and Dustin go through a new movie weekly. Sometimes they're new, sometimes they're old and full of nostalgia. Aside from walking you through the movie you'll be treated to rants, jokes and the inevitable, "Here's what I would do" and probably some "I wouldn't have done that's" as well.
We're back! The holiday's wrecked us and let's be honest the movies stuck like a fish out of water. Speaking of stinky movies, we're going to talk about Aquaman 2: Birth of Aqualad or whatever the fuck this movie is called. It's the end of the old DCEU or the DCU... DC Comics really shitty movie line because they let Zack Snyder make too many music videos and pissed away all their potential. Attach your snorkel tightly and get ready for the golden showers that is Aquaman 2: The Deuce is Loose!
Welcome, welcome! On this episode we're talking about the Toho release Godzilla Minus One, but there will be plenty of talk about the American Godzilla movies and Kaiju films in general. If you haven't seen the movie, there are lots of spoilers so make sure you see it during its limited release.
139 - Welcome, welcome! We're finishing off the horror season with a PG-13 money making video game franchise horror movie. That's right, we clicked subscribe to the Pcock and watched ourselves the Blumhouse film adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy's. It's horror for kids!
Welcome, welcome! It's our Halloween episode! We're going with a horror classic from the mind of Stephen King and the direction of John Carpenter, it's Christine! That's right, the killer car movie. Buckle up and protect your dick from getting pinched!
137 - Welcome, welcome to our coverage of Meg 2 The Trench. If you're wondering why this movie was made and how the hell The Meg managed to get a sequel, wonder no more. This episode provides that answer for you along with why this is one of the best of 2023. You read that right, best of 2023. Dive in chum and let's get to the movie.
136 - Welcome to Let's Movie! We're going back to the theaters this week with the third movie in Kenneth Branagh's Hercule Poirot series "A Haunting in Venice" which once again teams him up with an all-star cast. Let's get haunted!
135 - Welcome back to Let's Movie. This week we've found a movie flying under the radar in the form of The Portable Door! A movie based on a book that was bought up by Sky and MGM+. One of us loved it, one of us, not so much! And don't forget to vote in the poll.
134 - Welcome, welcome! Join Dustin and Justin as they run through the new TMNT movie from Seth Rogan and Nickelodeon Films. You'll want to watch the film first or if you have zero interest in ever seeing it, we might just convince you to give it a shot because much like the other TMNT movies this one is all about family... no wait, ninjas... no, it's about living with a suffocating parent that's disconnected from reality. Just kidding, it's an hour and a half origin story for Splinter!
133 - Welcome, welcome to the return of Let's Movie! Join hosts Justin and Dustin as they put too much "ustin" into the movie Bullet Train! Is it new? No, did you already watch it on your Red Eye flight? Probably. But did you read the 500-page book right before watching the movie like Justin did? I doubt it. Let's set off some fireworks and howl like a wolf for the newest episode of Let's Movie!
Breathe with me now, but we're talking about the Blumhouse straight to Peacock remake of Firestarter. twisted Firestarter. Taste the pain and fall intoxicated with us as we suffer through the Hallmark of Horror's latest release.Support the show
One of us loves Ti West, the other just learned who Ti West is on this podcast... you will figure out rather quickly who is who as we dive into this 1979 porn horror mash up. Get lubed up and put some headphones on.Support the show
Won't someone crack the code on video game movies and make them as unwatchable as the Marvel movies? Wait, did Uncharted just do that? Well when you have Spider-Man on retainer I guess it's not too hard to slam him into another franchise. Anyway, this movie is everything you'd want from a movie you'd never want to see twice.Support the show
Before 2020, I think this question would have been an easy answer. But how many of you picked die? Yeah, I feel you 2022 crowd. Shit is whack, but not as whacky as this movie gets. It's YA horror for the Netflix crowd. Don't worry, we don't care about stock prices so we're only going to spoil the entire movie.Support the show
Kevin and Dustin talk about 2022's The Batman... and a lot of other Batman related things.Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
We head back to a simpler time... 2016. Before we diverged on this hellish time line that we now find ourselves on. Don't worry, if Arrival teaches us anything, time isn't linear and we may be able to turn this ship around. Anyway, it's Arrival, a movie neither of us had watched until this week... how the hell does Sony keep the lights on?Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
Little Herc is back with a new movie that got fucked over on it's release mostly due to it's cast... which all deliver great performances. For the most part, for the most part. Anyway, we're going to spoil the shit out of this movie so if you have any interest in watching it do so beforehand. Stay to the end for a mini-conversation about Halo and Moon Knight!Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
Let's finish the home trilogy... at home! That's right, no matter how many times Kevin says he's done with superhero movies, Dustin will be able to talk him into just one more. What else do you need for this description? It's Spider-Man... the biggest movie of the pandemic. We're not even covering it our usual way... Spider-Man! Thwip!Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
Oh I get it... it "loops" three times so they gave it an extra "O". Fuck I wish that was cool, but it's not. It's the Hindi remake of Run Lola Run... yes, that's all you need to know basically. Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
This week we dabble with a thriller. It's not typically something we'd talk about and this isn't as long as our usual episodes, but we still have plenty to say about No Exit. Like that it's a Hulu, Disney, 20th Century Fox film. Special Guest the voice of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
Jake Short is back with another movie! It's not Super Bad, it's not Super Hot... it's Supercool. A film that wants to be all of it's influences, but without the dedication it needs to be any of them. Is the boner comedy dead? Or has it evolved into Supercool?Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
Don't worry, you're about to have a short podcast, because The Long Night is a ten minute short stretched out for way too long. There's not a lot to say about this indie thriller. I hope you love that cover because you've now witnessed the best part of the movie. Buckle up, we're going to shred town. Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
It's not Halloween, hell it's not even a new movie, but today we're talking about No Escape Room. You can assume the quality of this film on the title alone. Is there anything here that will strike up a tangent, cos or sin? Probably not, but I got to make a math joke today and that's good enoughSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
In our quest to see if the boner comedy still exists we've found ourselves watching Sex APPeal. Yes, the Hulu original on the streaming service that was once quite good and is now just were you can pay for FX and leftover Fox movies. Anyway, lets round first base and get some dated movie references!Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
We're a little late with our episodes as life continues to kick us in the... face, probably. Anyway, we take a look at the little indie film that could... Run & Gun. A movie that's more hobble than run and more talk than gun. But TV's the Crow is in it. Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
I don't think a movie has every pillaged the corpse of a dead actor harder than this movie... some will say it "needed to be done" while others will call it a shameless cash grab... we'll just call it Ghostbusters Afterlife. There are some strong opinions about this film and franchise in general so strap into the gunner seat and get your RC car ready to blast through the mainstream of a small dying town.Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
Finishing off our Holiday cheer is a VH1/MTV/Who cares TV movie about an unlikable woman making terrible choices and we're supposed to care. It's the end of 2021, why not go out on a whimper with this turd in a stocking holiday movie.Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
This episode is late just like your present from that boyfriend that you know won't be in your life next year, but you're still a little disappointed. I meant to post this before Christmas, but shit was busy! That means you only get maybe one more damn holiday movie this month and really who knows if Pottersville even counts. By the way, we're covering a Bigfoot, Furry, Holiday movie and none of that is as cool as you think it sounds.Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
Happy Holidays once again! We're hitting you with our winter season of holiday movies or whatever the fuck you want to call them. Today we have the Netflix release of A Boy Called Christmas... seems like we all know where this story is going, but let's give Santa an origin movie, maybe it's better than Wolverine's... maybe.Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
Ho, ho, ho! We're kicking off our latest month of theme madness and wouldn't you know it... it's Christmas movies. Unfortunately, we're out of Jack Frost movies so we're just going to grab some random holiday flicks and first up is 8-Bit Christmas. Apparently only released on HBO Max, which is a damn shame.Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
Tonight on Let's Movie we're covering an Aussie Rom Com! Yeah, just when you think we'd be forced to cover a major release from the Hollywood system, we swerve you with some foreign releases! Is love in the air? Did Kevin or Dustin learn anything from this movie that's only lesson is to slow the fuck down and live life? Let us know on social media or in a review.Support the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/letsmovie)
We have a disappointing movie to talk about today. It was so disappointing that we barely even talk for an hour about this nearly two hour movie starring Nic Cage. That's right it's Prisoners of the Ghostland, a movie that can only be described as "Incomplete". If you're expecting Cage to continue performing like a competent actor, go ahead and let go of that and enjoy our episode.
We're back after a week off and who can blame us, the shock of Shoctober has warn off and we just need to cuddle with Tom Hanks and his old balls. No his robo-balls. This is getting weird and confusing so let's dive into Apple TV's latest Hanks movie Jeff... Goodyear... Finch?
Wrapping up our Shocktober 2021 is V/H/S 94! The fourth anthology in the series which has a total of four tales to watch. If you're not into horror then we'll have something different for you next week, but in the mean time we're going to yell at this movie and it's terrible, terrible pacing.
You'd think we'd be smart enough to save a movie called "Halloween Kills" for the week of Halloween, but fuck that noise! We're covering this week as we continue our Shocktober movie month of horror and murder themed movies. Now, put your Shatner mask on and get ready to dive into some firemen on this episode of Let's Movie!
Last year with Shocktober we went hard with slasher horror remakes! This year, it's like... does this count? Fuck yeah it does, people die and it's spooky as shit! We all know that old age is the scariest shit on the planet! Let's get old together as we check out M. Night's OLD... balls... no, just the movie Old.
We're purging everything in this episode of Let's Movie. Purging our finances, our social obligations... this movie. It's the Forever Purge! #EverAfter #CinderellaPurge Is this a horror movie? Probably not, but it fits right in with our Shocktober theme because why not.
Shocktober is here! All month long we'll once again be reviewing horror movies and Halloween-ish movies. Up first is Malignant from James Wan. We're spoiling the hell out of this one so be prepared.
Obviously we pick this movie with a heavy heart. Much like the star of this movie, Norm McDonald, we're not going to pull any punches and give our usual antics while we dip back into the 90s well yet again with Dirty Deeds... no Dirty Work, one of the two.
Welcome back to Let's Movie! We took a week off to regroup and come back at you with the best movie we could find. When that happened we just randomly picked this shark movie that's only an hour long. Let's Escape of Shark on this episode of Let's Movie!
In what marks our fourth Mortal Kombat movie, we return to the new animated series from WB that we assume is made for children. Oh it's not? Well, it's written as if it were for children that have never in their life heard the words "Mortal Kombat" shouted from the heavens and then industrial techno music blasted shortly their after. Let's take a shot to the nuts!
Roll for your life as we cover Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins! Remember when they made G.I. Joe movies and then they paid Bruce Willis to show up and ruin them? I mean they had the fucking Rock and they couldn't make a hit. Anyway, Hasbro has given Paramount another shot at the franchise and as the name implies, it's an origin story... about Snake Eyes.
Welcome to our 100th episode! Wow, what a ride. We re-started this journey with Bloodshot and now we're talking about 1990's classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Does this classic TMNT still have a soft spot in our hearts or will our jaded nature leave us down in the sewer waiting to be rat-napped? Just kidding we're going to talk about turtle dicks for two hours.
Kevin will forever say that he's done with comic book movies, but then Dustin will talk him into just one more... just one more. Here we are on one more, which is 2021's The Suicide Squad which is not the same movie as 2016's Suicide Squad. In fact this movie spends the first part of the movie killing damn near anyone associated with that movie. It's the Suicide Squad, listen to use tell you the entire movie or some shit.
Well while everyone else is covering big blockbuster movies this week, we decided to go indie and Super Hot is as indie as it gets! Get your nerd shit out and lets slay some pizza as we talk about Super... Hot... Super... Hot... Super... Hot.
097 - Breaking out of the Hollywood system is another notable performance and movie from Nick Cage. We're quite certain he showed up in character and picked his own wardrobe for this movie. What a thespian! Alright, get your truffle bag and let's head to the forest for Pig!
096 - We love our Netflix movies, especially when they're just the North American distributor of the Canal produced film. Are we all heading to Comic Con dressed as Karen Gillan's character? Yes, just look at that jacket, it screams, "Copy me and get every last detail correct or you're a hack!" Anyway, take your lactose pill and let's take a big straw full of Gunpowder Milkshake.
095 - Fear Street, it's a book series... its now a movie series. A movie populated by unlikable characters in setting that was probably googled as "that's so 90s". The new Netflix movie event has reached out homes and be that we watch a lot of horror and sci-fi around here and you're reading this sentence then you probably know how its going to go... but listen anyway, otherwise what's the point of putting out audio?
094 - I'm pretty sure that fucking hashtag is going to fuck up all our postings, but we're so #blessed to be back talking about movies. We're talking about the South Korean zombie movie that Netflix picked up last year #Alive. Not a great title, but neither is the movie.
093 - I don't know about you, but I have a finite amount of time to spend on movies. If you're like me, but listening to this podcast to save some of that time... then don't use it on Infinite. Not unless you want to learn about the world of Soft Sci-Fi or Sci-Lite as we will eventually call it in this Paramount+ release featuring a guy who looks a bit like John Cena and Chiwetel Ejiofor, aka the only actor actor in the movie.
092 - Well this is a special episode because it's not every day that one of our hosts dips a toe into a shared movie universe for the first time. That's right, this is Dustin's first Conjuring Universe movie... which is the eighth movie in the series. That seems like too many, but hey we definitely won't cover that while spoiling the hell out of the newest installment in the James Wan, wait... Conjuring Universe.
091 - Who hasn't seen a Saw movie or Chris Rock act in a very long time? Probably the two guys (Kevin & Dustin) that are about to sit down and spoil the shit out of Spiral! Is still from the book of Saw? I don't know, all those posters still saying, but have no fear, it's definitely in the Saw universe, which is totally a thing now.
