Hey Podcast Family, I hope this video helps as many of you who are aspiring to create a Photography or any other type of small business. Starting your company can be a bit tricky and daunting. But if you commit to your process, find your groove, and stay the course, you'll find yourself in a position of constant growth. Too many of us worry about the accolades, things we can't control, and the perception we're giving off. In my 7 years, these are all distractions. The money, the confidence, and the strategy all come from doing the work. If you have that mindset, you'll be set for life. That's the formula for success in my opinion.
Hey Podcast, today I visited my friend Z at her model informational session. Today's episode is all about the importance of investing time, money, and patience into your journey. In today's episode, I had a candid discussion with my mother about how we can leverage her over 2 decades of experience in the health field to build awareness for her business. The strategy we set was to build top of the funnel awareness for her health & nutrition brand using live-recorded zoom calls. My motto for 2021 is to build a business around a topic that you're passionate about. If you can have even 1 person on that call and share something that changes their life, then you'll have started the process of building that business that you desire. 20 years ago there wasn't a hair of a chance that you'd be hearing this podcast from me. Because of the many advances of technology, putting out that first album, sharing catalogue of images, or starting that new e-commerce business is more accessible than its every been. Today episode is a call to action for putting out content because I see and personally feel the impact of social media has on making those once distant dreams feel a little realer everyday.
Hey Podcast, in this strategy session that I had with my partner Stacy, and Rashida, a former writer of our business, Femmily Magazine. Today we went down the rabbit hole of content creation and why it's imperative that we all communicate with the world on a daily basis. Hope you enjoy!
Hey Podcast, today I met up with Donté Marquis, who recently applied to be an admin for me. While we didn't end up working together in that capacity, we spent the hour speaking and got an amazing conversation in around how to motivate your team and to make work more meaningful!
Not judging yourself is one of the most difficult things that we all have to deal with. But when we don't we unlock so much more to ourselves and it allows us to make decisions more quickly. I'm currently one day behind on uploading videos for this series, but I've decided to take my stride and proceed as planned because I intend to show up for myself and not judge while doing so!!
Hey Podcast Family, I've decided to partake in the Fasting aspect of Ramadan as a way to exercise greater discipline in all areas of my life. I've decided to document that journey so that I can bring you all along, and to allow for myself to grow and develop in that process as well. I hope you enjoy!
It's no doubt that kindness has its merit in life. Kindness is something that I belive in 10 fold. Being 5 years in my journey, one of the key variables to my constant momentum has been being kind to people.
There's no need to ponder and try to predict the future when we barely have control over life itself. I believe in the merit of experimentation and testing. That's how you figure out strategy. Doing, is always better than over pondering.
There's nothing more true that we all create jails for ourselves which leads us down a path of self judgement and negative self criticism. I believe that there needs to be flexibility in how we navigate our lives and our business which would ultimately lead to more success and happiness.
Hey Podcast, today, I'm sharing five business principles that I wish I knew early on in my business career that would have probably saved me a lot of time, energy, and started the process of me building a stronger foundation for myself. As entrepreneurs, we have to roll with the punches because that's what makes us stronger! I hope that you enjoy, and if you got anything of value from this episode, it'd mean the world if you shared it with a friend! Hey Podcast, today's clip is from a jam session with one of my great friends Rahni! We jammed about the importance of maximizing the time in your day, being consistent in you content creation and how many times we create jails for ourselves and live in them. I truly hope that you can take something away from today's episode, and as always have a blessed day! Feel free to send me an email at jordi@jfp.nyc or text the business at 551-225-0599.
We are living in one of the greatest generations to start a business. As I engage in conversations with more business owners like myself, I am lead to believe that many of us aren't taking the time to learn ourselves before venturing off into a business. Your business is a reflection of you, your attitudes towards life and it can't grow beyond the limits of yourself. So my call to action is to learn about yourself before you get into a business.
Hey podcast family, this is a skit I made for YouTube and Instagram and I thought to myself how would it perform in the audio world. So here's the pilot skit with a character called Last Minute Lucy who as her name suggests is one of those clients that's insanely difficult to deal with. Hope you enjoy.
Hey Podcast, on this episode I do a skit where I impersonate some of the common types of clients that are bad for your business and time. Let me know what you think of this format on social or by email at Jordi@jfp.nyc
In this age where many people are venturing off to start businesses, I fear that many people might not have their minds fully developed to tackle the daily stress that comes with walking the path of an entrepreneur. In this episode I Jam with Alisha Small after one of our meetings where we tackle some topics in the world of entrepreneurship. Enjoy!
Hey podcast, I think there's no debate at this point that the answer to many of our successes lies in outputting a quantity of content on a daily basis on the current relevant platforms. I believe that many of us are caught in the old mindset that there has to be that one piece of creative that'll get you there, and while I believe in that, you'll never know unless you up your output game. The answer to content questions will be more, more, and more! I hope you enjoy today's episode.
In 2020, it's the easiest time to build sales machines. I argue that all of us, with the added power of social platforms, we all have the ability to build brands to last a lifetime. What will you do?
Hey Podcast, on today's episode I speak about the importance of focusing on your strengths, while being acutely aware of you weaknesses. Too often I see people dwelling on the things that they can't change which leads to a lot of unhappiness. I believe that we should turn that in the other direction to focusing on the few things that we're great at which I believe will ultimate play out positively in your life.
Hey Podcast today I speak about the importance of "soft skills" in our lives and why I truly believe that they don't get the credit they deserve because of the branding that they have. Communication, empathy, leadership, creativity, and people skills are things that we have to engage with at every step of our lives so I think it's time that we have a more meaningful conversation around this.
Good morning Podcast! On today's episode I share my thoughts around what it means to execute and be in your own journey. Too often we glorify the idea of perfection instead of glorifying the process which is more important. Please understand that it's the trial and error that informs your strategy not the other way around.
Without adversity, gratitude is almost non existant. It's the context of the adversity that makes you hungry, strive for more, and desire to be free!
Hey Podcast, on today's episode of the podcast I have model, Ceara Dixon, discussing the importance of self awareness, how modeling was a burning desire for her and some of the strategies she deployed to navigate her journey. I hope you enjoy!
Hey podcast on today's episode of the podcast I have a very good friend of mine, Rahni, who's now a teacher in Dallas, Texas on the show where we jump into a lot of topics. We dive into removing yourself from situations so that we can learn & be better listeners, why patience is important to all of our journeys, and the importance of being structured and deliberate when chasing your dreams.
Creativity manifests itself in different ways. It isn't limited to the fine arts as we've become so accustomed to using the word. It can be in business, event planning, engineering, and almost anything that you can think of! Share you talent with the world!
A dream worth sacrificing for isn't a dream worth having. As we enter the new years, I challenge you to consider how much your time is worth. Do you only speak about your dreams and then desire rapid success or to you put the patience and diligence in that's necessary to lay the foundation
Nia means purpose. Having purpose in remembering and restoring our culture. It's truly important and has never been as evident to me today the need to tell positive and impactful stories while instilling accountability into our children and ourself. What's your purpose?
Anything built to last and that's meaningful has a team of wonderful people behind it.
Continuing with the 7 days of Kwanzaa series, we have today's principle, Ujima. It means collective work and responsibility. And how I interpret this as has always been the course of my life is that people & meaningful relationships are the currency of life.
A business' success heavily depends on the relationships it forms with its customers. On today's episode, I want to share some strategies that I've employed over the past five years to maintain a healthy business and strong client relationships.
"Kujichagulia" (Ku-jee-cha-goo-lee-a) Means Self-Determination. It means to be responsible for your own behavior because you're in control of your own ship. And the minute that you start understanding that, is the minute you start unlocking so much better behavior.
The name Kwanzaa comes from the phrase 'matunda ya kwanza' which means 'first fruits' in the Swahili language. Today's word is Umoja, which means Unity.
Happy Christmas podcast family. You’ve allowed me to expand the business so much more with the activation of this platform. And while we’re in the spirit of giving gifts, don’t forget that your customers could always use a gift in the form of a phone call, text message, a surprise package and so much more!
Hey Podcast, today I reflect on some of the things I executed on this year without overthinking and worrying in the process. Whether it was video content, starting the marketing agency process, or the podcast, the execution is what matters. You'll get better in the process! And who remembers their first anything? No one!
Hey Podcast, as we transition into Christmas, and ultimate the beginning of a new decade, I'm doubling down on execution, and I pray that you do too!
Entrepreneurship means dealing with dear, navigating through the unknown, having 100% accountability, serving the people you're leading, and being nimble. And simply put, if you're not ready for that, then you need to spend time with yourself understanding what makes your tick.
Hey Podcast, on today's episode of the podcast, I have a fireside chat with Recording Artist Vannah Oshun on Time-management. We also took deep dives into some of our thoughts and implementation of strategies we've employed, the importance of having a well defined plan, and the merit of hard work. I hope that you enjoy. Feel free to email me at: jordi@jfp.nyc or text at 551-225-0599 Vannah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/vannahoshun/
You need to have some version of an end goal otherwise every action you take will almost be futile in your attempt to figure out your own path. Calibrating you’re actions based on your end goal, passion, and around practiced self-awareness is a start to happiness. Please have that honest conversation with yourself.
I truly believe that building a personal brand has to do 2 core things. Distributing content around a topic that you're passionate about, and disproportionately caring for the audience that you're looking to reach. Too often I see people selfishly creating content and they wonder why they aren't breaking through the 'glass ceiling'. Once you begin from a place of empathy for the audience and passion around your content, if you're good, you'll break through!
It’s so important to start your journey. The longer you wait, ponder on your execution and delay sharing your story with the world. This conversation with my friend Jayvon is a call to action to share content!

For all my artists that are here on a budget, I truly believe that this strategy in whatever shape or form will truly be valuable. Whether it's doing free work as an event photographer, doing song covers on YouTube and Instagram, doing comedy skits as a comedian, voice overs as an actor, the playing field is wide open and it comes down to talent. Being grateful comes from deep within your soul. I truly believe that as much as the media paints a negative image of the world that things are truly significantly better. All of us can share our voices without being blocked off by 4 old white men in an office. We're going to live longer, we can communicate with each other at scale, and more. Yes things aren't perfect, yes bad things do happen, but I refuse to not be thankful for the life that I have! Remember, you are in control. In order to truly deal with people, we have to understand ourselves. Any successful business has a host of meaningful people core to the functioning of it. The founder's DNA typically trickles down into the flow of the business and it's important that we as leaders understand ourselves before we get involved in a people oriented thing such as a business.
