Wartburg and Fusion's Entertainment Review

It's our last show, so we're going out with a bang ranking about favorite movies! We've got viewer lists (4:48), past guests list (10:32), Fusion's list (28:18) and Wartburg's list (42:02). Which movies will be in our top 5? 

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds just wrapped up it's second season, and as Wartburg & Fusion are big fans of the show they sat down to talk about the finale, the highs & lows of season 2, and where the show might go for season 3!

A new TMNT movie is out, which means we got some pizza and sat down to talk about it! We go over our thoughts on Mutant Mayhem (6:27) and then some out favorite TMNT movies (36:03), games and shows too!

This week we're talking Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part 1 (2:22), ranking the Mission: Impossible franchise (23:32), talking Silo on Apple TV (33:45), Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (38:56) and the ongoing WGA/SAG strike (55:32).

This week Wartburg and Fusion are talking season 2 of Strange New worlds (1:23), the weird situation with Paramount dumping Prodigy (22:49), and their thoughts on some other entertainment news like the Superman and Lois casting (53:31) over at DC.

For our 69th episode we're talking giant metal robots in Rise of the Beasts (2:53) and ranking all 7 of the live action Transformers movies (36:09).

Into the Spider-Verse is widely hailed as one of the best superhero movies in recent years. And somehow the sequel lived up to the hype. This week we're joined by GammaKoruchador to break it all down!

Ted Lasso has aired its last episode and boy do we have thoughts. This week we're talking about the finale, season 3, and the series as a whole!

March is here, and Wartburg and Fusion (and Chris/Gamma) are running through a 16 seed bracket to determine their favorite movie franchise of all time! 

March arrived with a bang, and it's peak Pedro Pascal time too! The Last of Us Episode 7 (10:43) continues the show's hot streak of excellent storytelling, and The Mandalorian returns to the screen (25:05) so you know that Wartburg and Fusion had to sit down and talk through their reactions to all that & more!

The third Ant-Man is out so how does it stack up to past Ant Man movies and the MCU as a whole? (10:17) Wartburg and Fusion are here to hash out their thoughts on that as well as The Last of Us Episode 6! (31:39)

Time for a little mid-season checking with The Last of Us with Wartburg and Fusion talking about episodes 4 & 5 (18:27) as well as their thoughts on two big Super Bowl trailers (36:05) for The Flash and Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3.

After this week's truly stellar episode of The Last of Us on HBO with Nick Offerman and Murray Bartlett turning in award worthy performances, Wartburg and Fusion had to call an emergency podcast session to talk about what they just watched, and why you should be watching it too.

Another year in the books, and as is tradition, we looked back at the year and picked out our favorite movies, shows, and games of 2022!

Wartburg saw Avatar: The Way of Water (18:28) this week and he had thoughts on the sequel to the highest grossing movie of all time. Plus Fusion chimed in to discuss the shakeup with the DCEU (36:27).

Star Wars seems to be at an all-time high with Andor (20:45) so we sat down to talk about our reactions to the first season, and predictions for where Star Wars might go next. Plus, a healthy amount of talk about the new Guardians, Indiana Jones, and Transformers trailers (51:50).

Wartburg and Fusion are back to talk Wakanda Forever (12:47), the penultimate episode of Andor (38:19), and to react to maybe the worst ranking of all the Marvel movies ever (57:49) courtesy of the Hollywood Reporter.

Chris, a.k.a Gammakoruchador, joins Wartburg and Fusion to talk Rings of Power (19:09) & She-Hulk (1:03:15), plus a bunch of other pop culture nerdiness.

Wartburg & Fusion are back to talk about She-Hulk's penultimate episode bringing us the return of Daredevil (11:25), House of the Dragon being maybe literally too dark to watch (38:14), and Andor (51:01) continuing it's slow burn Star Wars drama. August has come out of nowhere with great stuff to watch, like Prey, Bullet Train, She-Hulk (37:45), and The Sandman (01:11:00), so you know that Wartburg and Fusion had a lot of talk about. 

Batgirl is cancelled. Looks like the misgivings around the Discovery-Warner merger/sort of acquisition appear to be well founded. Wartburg and Fusion sit down this week to air their thoughts and what they hope for the future of some of WB's biggest IPs.

Meant to talk about Comic Con trailers, but instead we went on a 45 minute tangent fueled deep dive into Kamala Khan's status as a mutant in the MCU. Basically sums up our whole show.

In a two week stretch we've had Stranger Things 4 Part 2 (6:53), The Boys finale (36:49), and Thor Love & Thunder (59:48) to watch, which you know means that Wartburg and Fusion had to sit down and nerd out about it all.

Now that Dragon Age 4 has a title, it's time to bring some friends in and rank the companions from the original three games! Who will be on the S Tier? Is anyone so low they're on their own tier? Check it out to find out!

Fusion is out this week, so Wartburg pulled a ringer in his friends Joey to swing by and talk about their thoughts on going to see Uncharted during opening weekend.

Wartburg and Fusion planned to sit down an only talk about Peacemaker, but then of course they go on tangents about The Prestige, Fallout casting Walton Goggins, and The Expanse. Because tangents are basically this entire show. And also, Peacemaker ruled.

The Book of Boba Fett's last chapter is written, and boy do we have thoughts. Plus, Disney's getting their Netflix shows back and Peacemaker continues a stellar run that far exceeds our expectations.

Newbs, the biggest Halo slut Wartburg knows, and Chris (GammaKoruchador) joined Wartburg and Fusion this episode to hash out their thoughts on Halo Infinite's campaign and their thoughts on the state of the multiplayer side of the game. Plus the usual nonsense banter.

With The Expanse wrapping up (for now? forever?) there was only one guest to get for this episode: Christian Young. He joined the show this week talk about the sixth season, and talk through his and Wartburg's thoughts on the series as a whole. What are the favorite moments, seasons, and characters from the shows run? And where does The Expanse fall in the Mt. Rushmore of sci-fi TV shows?

Wartburg and Fusion have some less than great thoughts about the Book of Boba Fett, but they're both digging Peacemaker a whole lot. Plus a smattering of Justified and Marvel/Black Panther news to talk about too.

For one last time in 2022 Wartburg and Fusion sat down to talk about the biggest pop culture stuff that's on their minds. This week they're talking the Hawkeye finale (17:33), the new Matrix disappointing them (36:03) and whatever the heck Book of Boba Fett (55:18) is supposed to be.

The Spider-Man movie to unite them all is finally here, and boy do we have some spoiler filled thoughts on that (and Hawkeye) for you to ruminate on. 

Three weeks later and we're back it to talk about Hawkeye episodes 1-4 (31:35), Ghostbuters, and a whole lot of DC tangents. So pretty standard stuff all things considered.

So much nerdy goodness to talk about since the last show. Eternals and Ghostbusters dropped, spicy Black Panther rumors, and Halo Infinite's MP came out weeks early. So you know Wartburg and Fusion, plus their friend Chris, had to talk about it all.

Y: The Last Man is out on Hulu, Ted Lasso is nearing the finale, and IATSE may be striking. Wartburg and Fusion have a lot to talk about this week. 

We've been making the show for a year now, so we figured it's time to bring in a couple guests and rank our top 5 games of all time, plus some honorable mentions. Come for the games talk, stay for the debate about how to say SNES.
