Andrew and I set out on our yearly trip to Arkansas for some duck and late-season bowhunting. This particular trip was unique because the temperatures plummeted, and it started snowing like crazy. I had the opportunity to take a shot at an unbelievable 6-point buck in the snow, making the experience truly memorable. We then drove back through a winter wonderland. Don't miss this fun driving episode of The Lodge!

My good friend Scott just got back from skiing in Aspen, so you know he had to tell us all about it. There is nothing like a good outdoor adventure!
Who is already excited for some turkey hunting? I know I am for sure. Dave Owens, the founder of the Pinhoti Project, stops by The Lodge to talk turkey hunting with us. His obsession with Spring turkey hunting has taken him all over the country (49 states) as he completed the US Super Slam. As he attempts to better himself at his craft, he's also found successes in the competition calling arena including Georgia State Champion titles as well as the 2018 Grand National Senior Division Open Champion. If you weren't ready for turkey season before, you will be after this episode.
I am on the drive home from Virginia and felt like it was a good time to record an episode for you all. Had a great time with my buddy Scott over the weekend, so I had to fill you all in on the fun we had. I knocked a few more ducks off my Ultimate Waterfowler Challenge List and had a blast doing it. Big Mike and I went to the Chesapeake Bay for New Year's and we hammered the seaducks. I finally get him on the podcast to talk about the experience. Sit back and enjoy another episode of The Lodge.
Thanks for tuning in to Whited Outdoors: The Lodge. I was on the road back from a late-season deer hunt and I figure what better than to record a podcast. Christmas gift reviews, future hunts planned, and updates to my whitetail hunting gear are just a few things we touch on in this episode. Hope everyone had a great Christmas.
Scott Nunnally is back on The Lodge! I made my annual trip up to VA for some deer hunting with Scott. One of us harvested a nice buck (not me). Big Mike got him a bow buck on his land, and in SC the acorns are just not falling. It is a good time and it is only getting better. Thanks for tuning in.
My favorite knife of all time is the Join or Die Field Mate, so why not have the mastermind behind the blade come on the podcast? Brent Stubblefield is the founder and owner of Join or Die Knives. You all had better buckle up… In the words of Steve Harvey, “We’ve got a good one for you today!”. Our guest on the Lodge today is none other than The Godfather of Turkey Hunting, Mr. Rob Keck. Rob Keck has been a driving force in conservation for more than three decades, and during that time he built one of the most successful conservation organizations in the nation. I am talking about the National Wild Turkey Federation. Rob has fueled the return of the wild turkey in North America. If you are not excited for this episode then I don’t know what will get you pumped up. It is February 24th, I am Aaron Whited, and welcome to The Lodge.
Scott and I just got back from Arkansas with my buddy Andrew for some late late season whitetail hunting. The deer season in Arkansas goes until the 28th of February so we figured why not take full advantage of it before we have to hang up our treestands. As luck would have it the last day of duck season was the last day we were out there. I might not have left Arkansas with a Booner Buck but I did get to leave with a wall hanger duck. It is February 10th, I am Aaron Whited, and welcome to The Lodge.
The phrase small world comes to mind when I think of how Stroud Seasonings and Whited Outdoors got together. One of my coworkers gifted me a bottle of Stroud Seasonings for Christmas and after trying I was like holy crap. I asked my coworker about it and he said “yea that’s from right here in the Upstate of South Carolina. A buddy of mine actually owns the company”. Well, long story short I had to give Mr. Don Stroud a call. We talked for a little bit and I loved his story and I for sure love his products. I am so happy to have Don on the podcast this Super Bowl Sunday. If I know him I am sure he has something delicious in store for today.

Well, Christmas has come and gone and so basically has the whitetail season. I am finally on the board and I have a rollercoaster of a story. You have Scott and I on the podcast tonight for some laughs, Christmas gift review, and a wrap up of the whitetail season. It is December 30th, I am Aaron Whited, and welcome to The Lodge.
Christmas time is here and the whitetail season is starting to wind down. Scott has gone into hail mary mode for the end of the deer season by purchasing all the Spypoint cell cams his local sporting goods store had. He has some great looking bucks roaming around his property. I am heading to Virginia next week for Christmas with the in-laws with hopes of Santa bringing me a nice shoulder mount for Christmas. You know… Speaking of Christmas, what is a great gift for a deer hunter? I guess you’ll have to keep listening to find out. It is December 16th, I am Aaron Whited, and welcome to The Lodge.
It is the Start of Late Season Deer Hunting. By this time the deer in your area have been bumped, spooked, and probably shot at a time or two by now. The best thing that comes from late season is most of the “non-hardcore” Whitetail Hunters have packed it in and the woods are far less crowded. Deer that have been moving mostly at night are starting to poke their heads back out in the daylight because of lessened pressure and cooler temperatures. Scott has a couple of trophy bucks walking around on his land and just got another Virginia stud on the ground tonight. For those of you keeping score... yes… I am still trying to get one on the ground, but I do have a couple of prospects frequenting my trail camera. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and you are starting to wake up from your food-comas. It is December 2nd, I am Aaron Whited, and welcome to The Lodge.
The magic of November keeps us sitting out in the woods trying not to make a sound for hours on end for that one opportunity. Our very own Scott Nunnally has just accomplished something that most hunters would never think was possible. It is quite a story and he is excited to tell you all about it. We have Seth Greene, Mathews Pro Staff, and avid bowhunter on the show this evening to talk about target archery, whitetail, and elk hunting. Kick your boots off and grab a drink, it is November 18th, I am Aaron Whited, and welcome to The Lodge.
This is the time of year that deer hunting legends are made. The time of year where you can sit in the woods not having any idea when or where the deer are coming from. This is the time of year that still to this day never ceases to amaze me. With all of the crazy stuff happening in the world one thing remains constant, I am talking about the Rut. These last few weeks of the deer season have been a whirlwind of excitement and surprises that we can’t wait to tell you all about. After our podcast with Ranch Fairy, Scott and I both committed and started making some heavy arrow setups, I finally found a hunt club to join, and Big Mike is still chasing his dream buck. It is November 4th, I am Aaron Whited, and welcome to The Lodge.
A cold front has rolled in, Deer are moving and the rut isn’t far away. I am leaving South Carolina to head back to Virginia and hunt with Scott. My wife, Korrine asked me to go purchase a Primos Double Bull Blind because she has some buck fever! Joe has been hitting the links more than the woods so you know we have to give him a hard time. Troy, also known as the Ranch Fairy, is stopping by to share his archery knowledge. It is October 21st, I am Aaron Whited, and welcome to The Lodge.
It’s October Baby!!! Deer season is in full swing. Scott’s season has finally started in Virginia. My Father-in-Law, Big Mike, has a monster on camera coming and he is coming in during daylight. I hate to say it but the bass have officially taken a back seat. It is October 7th, I am Aaron Whited, and welcome to The Lodge.

Scott Nunnally, the newest member of the Whited Outdoors team, is also joining us on the Podcast. I am happy to announce that Zay Kittredge has also joined the team as our Audio Engineer.
