500 Anos da Lei da Pureza Alemã! Pessoal, neste 23 de abril a Lei de Pureza Alemã, a Reinheitsgebot, faz 500 anos. Criada pelo duque Guilherme da Baviera, esta é considerada a primeira lei em defesa do consumidor. E ela diz que uma cerveja só deve conter os 4 ingredientes, malte de cevada ou malte de trigo, lúpulo, água e levedura. Quando foi criada originalmente em 23 de abril de 1516 ela citava apenas cevada, lúpulo e água. Naquela época não se sabia direto sobre a levedura, descoberta no século XIX por Louis Pasteur, e somente depois foi acrescida a possibilidade também do malte de trigo. Muitos falam que ela foi feita para ser uma maneira de cobrar impostos da cerveja, já que era feita com base na cevada e no lúpulo. Mas oficialmente a razão oficial dela existir foi pra garantir a "pureza" das cervejas, certificando o consumidor que elas não continham outros ingredientes além daqueles previstos na lei. Bom, se ela foi benéfica pra cerveja na Alemanha ou não, e também qual é visão dos cervejeiros sobre ela, comento neste vídeo.
