Inside today's Locked on Canadiens: The Locked on Canadiens crew are again joined by Russ and Rachel of Locked on Flyers to continue their discussion on the top prospects in the upcoming NHL Draft. Up first is the likely first overall pick in Shane Wright, Scott and Laura are still adamant that Wright is the proper choice for the Montreal Canadiens in the upcoming draft. Russ also breaks down what makes Wright such a talented player, from his on-ice vision to his ability to be a leader for his OHL team off the ice as well. After that it's time for a discussion around Logan Cooley, who has the on-ice talent to be a challenger for a top three overall pick as well. The hosts also discuss the pair of defenders in Simon Nemec and David Jiricek, and while Montreal isn't in a spot to draft one of them right now, they represent intriguing options if the Canadiens do decide to trade up. What makes Simon Nemec tick? How has Jiricek's physicality helped endear him to prospective teams in the draft? To wrap it all up the four hosts debate the narrative surrounding Juraj Slafkovsky potentially going first overall over Shane Wright. Both Russ and Scott are in agreement that Slafkovsky has a ton of overall talent, but just isn't the fit the Canadiens need right now. They also debate the news that apparently Slafkovsky is open to playing centre, something he hasn't done in several years, evoking some memories of Jesperi Kotkaniemi's draft year. About Joey Mure & Russ Morgan The wall street mindset separates both families, entrepreneurs, and business owners from their money while others use it for their advantage. The secret to freedom is having your money work for you, not someone else when wealth building. Both Russ and Joey work tirelessly to be the hub for financial insight and education for individuals, business owners and investors nationwide. They believe that taking control over your finances will lead to greater prosperity and a more stress-free way of life.   What made you decide to start a podcast? Joey: “Our podcast came initially out of the thought of we want to have a weekly conversation with our clients.” Russ: “It was a way to scale that part of our business because we were growing and growing and growing and realized, okay, we can no longer do this belly to belly, one-on-one. We have to do this one to many. And so, we just use the technology of a podcast.”   How has podcasting grown your social network? Joey: “It's put us in a totally different category that we didn't expect. So, I guess the long story of it is that because we started talking to our clients every single week, we didn't realize that other people were listening in on the conversation. So, we've had people from all across the country calling us up, emailing us messages on Facebook…” Russ: “We hit a thousand followers on our Facebook page. And for us, because we're not super social in that way because we, you know, I have four kids, Joey has five. We live in an age where, you know, be more on social media, but we don't spend tons of time there. We've had no strategy to try to gain followers or likes. But all of that has been a direct result of our podcasting and it's amazing that people are following to see or hear the latest episodes.”   What are your best practices for building a community within your brand? Russ: “I would say obviously the podcasting has allowed us to have more engaged conversations with our clients to ask them ‘what are those things that you're really interested in?’ And sometimes when you survey your client base about different things, you get crickets. You know, you don't get a whole lot of feedback. But from our standpoint, because now we do have, as you said, kind of a loyal listenership. You can kind of track it.” Joey: “They want more kind of engagement that's more than just a step into listening to a podcast. They want to meet other people like themselves. They want to go deeper into the Q and A with our podcast guests.”   Can you share with me your most successful or favorite networking story/experience that you’ve had? Russ: “A long time ago, Joey and I had had the pleasure of being a part of this group that actually brought this speaker into Birmingham. He wrote a book and it was, it was actually written for real estate agents of all things, which neither Joey nor I were…”   How do you stay in front of or best nurture your network community? Joey: “I think for us, that's really where the community comes in. So, once we actually interview somebody on the podcast, they come into the community as an expert who's going to be doing a Q and A with our audience. And then they stay in the community and they are accessible almost as easily as like texting them because our community is on its own app platform.” Russ: “Nobody likes to be in an environment where they feel like they're all alone. And I think that sometimes when you go to a traditional networking environment, you feel like ‘I'm on an Island’.”   What advice do you have for the professional on growing their network? Joey: “I would say take the leap, and for us, what I will say is this, if we really allowed the fear of getting started to stand in the way, it would've been a big flop and we would have never gotten started. But I think nowadays there are so many services out there that all you have to do is go in record good content and hand it off to somebody.” Russ: “Sometimes the thought of starting your own can be a little overwhelming at first. And one of the best pieces of advice that we were given is to be on other people's podcasts.”   Digital networking or traditional networking? Russ: “I think we use digital networking to create personal networking. And what I mean by that is what we have developed some pretty amazing relationships because of our podcasts, but nothing stops belly to belly. Like when you can sit in a room with somebody and over dinner break bread, like that's where relationships go deep.” Joey: “It's hard to say this, but I think that digital is just a much more efficient means of accomplishing the same goal. And it's been hard. It's been hard to transition.”   Any final words of advice for our listeners? Joey: “Take the plunge…don't be afraid that you don't have anything to talk about. You always have something that you can add as far as value to the world.” Russ: “The more you start to learn about people, the more you can interact and conversate with them on their level.”   You can get in contact with Joey and Russ at: Website: www.wealthwithoutwallstreet.com Apple Podcast: Click Here Facebook: Click Here Joey’s LinkedIn: Click Here Russ’ LinkedIn: Click Here

EPISODE 027 DREDD, STRAW DOGS, THE JUNGLE BOOK For all you Dave fans out there (both of you) we can only apologise and offer our deepest condolences in his absence. Unfortunately Dave had to attend a funeral and wasn't in the mood to turn on the charm and record a podcast, you'll have to make do with Moid and Russ. Dave will return in a couple of weeks. The show must go on. When Moid and Russ get together they tend to take the opportunity to clear a backlog and deliver as many reviews as they can. So, after a brief chat about Russ' tattoos we have 13 movies to ponder, prod and pick apart. ENJOY. BEEN FLICKED ROMAN J. ISRAEL, ESQ (2017) Both Russ and Moid were big fans of Dan Gilroy's previous film, Nightcrawler, Russ watched this with high expectations. FRANK (2014) As a lover of quirky independent film Moid has had this on the radar for a while. As if to prove it's meta credentials this is as quirky and indy as the subject matter but with Michael Fassbender entombed in a big paper mâché head. It's as weird as loveable as it sounds. GINGER SNAPS (2000) Trying his best not be out-weirded by Frank, Russ watched this werewolf movie that is based on ginger girls turning into werewolves because they started their periods when a full moon was out? Pretty sure that's what Russ said, I wasn't listening. LET ME IN (2010) Quite a rarity in the film world. A remake of a great film that isn't total cash grab abomination. We recommend you also watch the 2008 Swedish original, Let the right one in. Go on, let her in, she won't bite. THE DOGS OF WAR (1980) I think we all agree that we all want to watch this just to experience Christopher Walken doing a full on Christopher Walken. DREDD (2012) Oh the pressure. Moid has Judge Dredd and 2000 AD to thank for his love of comics and Russ considers this one of the best adaptations around. What will Moid think? Does anybody care? STRAW DOGS (1971) The original and gritty cult classic. Nuff said. THE JUNGLE BOOK (2016) Moid still has the original animated film on his List Of Shame but chose to watch this instead. For the second movie in one show we a chance to see the great man Christoper Walken in action. DRUGSTORE COWBOY (1989) Matt Dillon, where are you hiding? Somebody give this guy a job, he's great. Kelly Lynch, Not so much. SEEKING A FRIEND FOR THE END OF THE WORLD (2012) Admit it, you want to watch this based on the title and the poster? Steve Carell delivers another of those straight faced performances that somehow make you laugh. It's the end of the world as we know it. TAKE YOUR PILLS (2018) This Netflix documentary really hit a nerve with both Moid and Russ. Russ had to have a lie down, and take some pills. FRACTURE (2007) Moid continues his Gosgasm with this unremarkable looking movie. Everything about it looks middle of the road. Will it defy expectations? I KILL GIANTS (2017) Let's not judge a book by it's cover, but that is an awesome poster. Russ cried like a little girl at this, I think that means he liked it? The Snakeskin Movie Lounge is a fiercely independent podcast. We are commercial free, not part of a network and totally self funded. The only payment we accept is a 5 star rating and review on iTunes, it really helps like minded people find the show. Have you heard our most popular episodes? Episode 008: THE LIST OF SHAME. Russ and Randy Podcast | Healthcare's Prescription for Web & Social

Both Russ and I are physicians who independently wandered into Internet Marketing over the past 10 years. Russell Faust, MD, PhD is a pediatric ENT surgeon and I (Randall Wong, MD) am a retina specialist. In this episode we talk about ourselves and how it is that two physicians are collaborating to create a podcast on Healthcare and Medical Internet Marketing. Though we preach about the About Page, we have neglected to be fully transparent about ourselves...until now. About Russ The condensed version is that Russ became annoyed with patients arriving in his office with reams of health MIS-information from Dr. Google (the Internet).  His mission was to provide his own information about pediatric ENT health maladies on his own website, BoogorDoctor.com. In a short while, he was noting traffic ranging from 20-30k per month.  Using his experience, he forged into the Internet Marketing world, first helping friends and the like and found his niche in brand strategy for healthcare systems. Russ may be contacted by visiting www.russellfaust.com.  Alternatively, here is his email:  rf@russellfaust.com. About Randy As a retina specialist (ophthalmologist), I became frustrated after creating a huge website for my group in the mid-1990s and not being able to search/find ourselves on the Internet.   We were unwilling to pay for blackhat gimmicks to get our website to rank. Google has made the Internet more objective and trusted and I entered healthcare and medical Internet marketing by creating my own site www.retinaeyedoctor.com. Like Russ, we became quite good at content marketing and getting our pages to rank.  Not only do I get patients from all over the world, but I found that patients really enjoyed the information. Medical Marketing Enterprises, LLC was co-Founded with Amy, my attorney wife, who shares the same passion and knowledge about the Internet.  The company teaches and consults about SEO, website rankings, patient engagement and reputation management. Email: randall.v.wong@gmail.com About "Russ and Randy" Very few docs understand or take Internet marketing seriously.  Russ and I "followed" each other for several years before collaborating for this podcast.  One of these days we'll get around to writing a book, too. Our hope is combine our efforts to create courses and seminars.  There is a growing need for doctors and healthcare institutions to understand the importance of engaging the Internet to grow their brand and business, but do it sucessfully...and correctly. Thanks for listening. See you next week! Please download us at iTunes and leave a review. All the best! Russ…and Randy Healthcare and Medical Internet Marketing Healthcare’s Rx for Web and Social
